Simplified 1.6 porting

Hi! I'm about to port a some parts of a Java SE 1.6 project to Java ME.
I'm wondering, is there any implementation of, for instance, the usual collections framework for Java ME out there? (I really don't need it to be efficient, just working.)
Is there any nice tool or sed-line that could strip/transform for-each loops and generics? (btw, why doesn't javac support these things for java me? I accept that it doesn't by I'm curious why...)
I'm sure these questions has been answered in this forum but I can't seem to find a good way to search in for instance the Java ME forums. Is this possible?

  Woud you happen to know or have an estimate for Boston/Waltham?  What VHO are we?
 I dont know what the roll out date might be but our VHO is 6

    b How do I use Port Mapping?
    (This document will assume that you are using and ABS/AEBS/AX as an internet router and have DHCP & NAT turned on.)
    Sometime you may want to offer access to a computer on your AirPort network to users on the internet, whether it be a web site, or for file sharing, or just remote access for yourself when traveling. If any of these sound like something you want to do, then you need to understand how Port Mapping works.
    b AirPort as Firewall
    Most of the time your AirPort base station will not let any traffic into your network which did not originate from your network. It will let everything out and replies to your traffic back in, but it will not let sessions initiated on the internet side of the base station in to your network. This is what is referred to as the "NAT firewall" capability of the base station and it provides effective protection for your network from the internet. What Port Mapping does is poke a hole in this wall to allow certain type(s) of traffic into the network and direct this traffic to a specific computer on the network. In the firewall world this is commonly referred to as an "inbound proxy" or "inbound translation" rule or "PAT" (Port Address Translation) in the router world.
    b The Need for Manual Addressing
    Since a Port Mapping entry in the base station configuration requires an inside private IP address to be specified, the computer to which to mapping entry applies should always have the IP address specified in the mapping entry. Thus, DHCP should not be used for a computer offering services on the internet as the Port Mapping entry will no longer work if the target computer's IP address changes. In general, an Apple base station's DHCP server will try to assign IP addresses in the 10.0.1.2 to 10.0.1.200 range. IP addresses above 10.0.1.200 can be Manually assigned to computers and other devices on the network up to 10.0.1.254. 10.0.1.255 is reserved (it is the broadcast address for the 10.0.1 subnet). To Manually set up the TCP/IP information for a Macintosh running Mac OS X, go to System Preferences -> Network and "Show" the appropriate interface (Ethernet or AirPort) and click on the TCP/IP tab. Select "Configure Manually" and enter the following information:
    IP address : 10.0.1.201 (or whatever address you decide to use)
    Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
    Router IP : 10.0.1.1 (the AirPort base station LAN IP)
    DNS server : 10.0.1.1, or whatever DNS server IP your ISP uses
    After making these changes verify that your computer can still access the internet and local resources on the LAN before continuing.
    b Port Mapping a service
    In our example we will be hosting a web site on a computer which we have given an IP address of 10.0.1.201. Basic web sites are accessed using the HyperText Transport Protocol (HTTP) and this protocol typically uses port 80 to communicate. In order for others to see the web site, we must configure a Port Mapping entry in the base station configuration to not only allow the web browsers in, but to tell the base station what IP address the web server is using. The Port Mapping entry has three parts: Public Port, Private IP, and Private Port. In this case you would use the following values:
    Public Port : 80
    Private IP : 10.0.1.201 (this is the computer hosting the web site)
    Private Port : 80
    In order to access the web site from the internet, users must reference the base station's WAN port public IP (determined by looking at the base station configuration summary page in the AirPort Admin Utility). Since this address may change over time, you might want to use a Dynamic DNS service to simplify connecting for your users.
    Sometimes the port you wish to use may be blocked by the ISP. In this case, use a different non-standard Public Port number for the service, but keep the Private Port standard. In the above example, if the ISP was blocking port 80, you could potentially use 8080 instead, so:
    Public Port :

    Public Port : 8080
    Private IP : 10.0.1.201
    Private Port : 80
    Your users would then have to enter "http://<publicIP>:8080/" (where <publicIP> is the public IP address of the AirPort base station) to access the web site.
    b Internal Access
    It should be noted that when accessing these services from within the network you cannot reference the Public IP/Public Port, but rather you must use the Private IP/Private Port. Thus, "http://10.0.1.201:80/" in the above example.
    b Limits and Options
    There is a maximum of 20 Port Mapping entries that can be made in an Apple base station configuration. If you use an AirPort Extreme or AirPort Express base station there is an option which can be helpful in the case where you need many ports opened to a single computer. This is the "Default Host" option. When using this it is not necessary to use Port Mapping at all as all ports will be opened to the specified "Default Host". This is found in "Base Station Options". The default IP address for the "Default Host" is 10.0.1.253. You may change this IP address. The target computer must be Manually configured as specified above with the same IP address. Since all ports are now open to this computer, you should enable and configure the Mac OS X firewall on the default host computer to protect it from intruders.

  • How can I use my IPAD to stream Musik to two Air Port Clients in a network at the same time?

    I want to stream my musik via I PAD to more than one Air Port Clients at the same time. Via MAC it is possible to select "more speaker". In the I PAD I can only select Station 1 or Station 2.

    I opened Airport Utility today and it appears to have been simplified to the point where you can't do much with it these days.
    Yes, welcome to the Fisher Price toy box utility.. where nothing in the way of advanced usage is offered.
    Is there a way to accomplish what I want to do that is reasonably simple?
    You can put time controls onto the offending addresses.
    But if the hackers know anything at all they know how to access the MAC address of the computer and change it.. so the effectiveness of this is limited.
    Change the current setup and password.. You must use WPA2 Personal and I recommend you use a pure alphanumeric password, mix case and numbers of 20 characters or more for your situation.. do not give that password to anyone.. protect the admin password of the TC itself equally well but with a different password. And protect the physical access to the TC from anyone in your home.. because the fact is all security on the TC is an illusion if the TC has open access.
    See how to find passwords here.
    i forgot my password for my router, how can I change them.
    So anyone can discover your passwords without your knowledge and leave no trace on your system.
    If you make no progress.. I suggest replacement of the TC as the main router of your network.. you need something with controls.. and even better controls that allow you to block people.
    The favourite one now is older Netgear WNDR3800 . .you might need to buy from ebay although a few new ones are still around.. alternatively the WNDRMACv2 is simply the same hardware in a white box.. instead of black.
    Load gargoyle firmware onto it.. sorry if I even point to where you can find this info my post will be deleted.. I can say it.. just cannot help further.. so use google.. there are lots of posts and let me assure you this get combo.
    You can continue to use TC at what it does best.. a dumb wireless AP and location for TM backups.

  • Multiple serial ports streaming - BSOD/freezes - Hardware or Software problem?

    Hello all,
    I just joined the forums as I'm in dire need of some help with LV. I'm trying to hook up three lasers for an experiment. These are connected to my laptop via seperate RS232 cables with an adapter each to a COM port. I found an LV example that reads in one laser from the manufacturers site (something with .dll files and a C++ library). I'm a beginner with LV and I can't really say I have experience, especially not with custom libraries, so I just tried to make it work somehow. So what I did was basically copy it three times and reconnected some wires and changed the output format. I've added my program to this post; warning, you might get slightly sick by looking at it.
    Anyway, my main problem is; it works, but only for a limited time. After some time the VI will crash or my laptop will BSOD. Now, since my VI isn't very professional and probably has a very bad structure I'm not sure whether this is a problem with the VI or with the RS232 adapters/USB hub. I read some things on faulty RS232 adapters that conflict, but I can also imagine my VI can't deal with three data streams correctly, so I'm not sure where this is coming from.
    I was hoping that if any of you would take a glance at my VI, you could tell me whether it's my VI or not. I'd rather confirm this before I buy three new RS232 adapters.
    P.S. I'm running this on LV 2011 and LV 8.2.1 (my laptop with 2011 only recognises 2 COM ports simultaenously and my other laptop with 8.2.1 all three, but my laptop with 2011 can handle the crashes better)
    Thanks!

    As an off the wall suggestion, check the usb "power save settings" under "control Panelower Options:Edit Plan Settings:Advanced Settings:USB settings" You want the USB selective suspend setting to be Disabled. Another possible idagnostic tool might be to do  a    Power Efficiency Diagnostics Report  which we have found has occasionally pointed us to usb hanging issues.
    Using the same type usb-serial adapters doesn't guarantee anything, but I have run into issues where a vendor's driver was implemented incorrectly. It ended up being a wrapper around the FTDI driver, and the wrapper dll wasn't correctly made multi-threaded safe. I browbeat the vendor (I was working at a LARGE corporation, with a prospective LARGE purchase of the devices) into telling me what calls their wrapper made. I then used the FTDI dll directly, not using the "simplified interface" of the vendor's dll. FTDI's dll was thread safe, no more random lockups/BSOD.
    Good Luck, these are incredibly painful!

  • Java ME 8 Permission check failed when opening a serial port

    I have a larger Jave ME8.1 application that was going well until I tried to add one last piece, reading and writing data from a serial port. This was left to last because it is trivial, at least in most programming languages. The is IDE NetBeans 8.0.2 running on a Windows 7 PC. The platform is a Raspberry Pi B or B+ (I have tried both) with the most current Raspbian (12/24/2014 I believe). To simplify the process I created a new app with just the open and close code and this generates the same error I am experiencing in the larger application. The program is as follows:
    package javamecomapp;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.InputStream;

                is.close();
                os.close();

            return 0;
    If I comment out the JavaMEcomApp.openComm and closeComm lines it runs fine. When they are included, the following error is dumped to the Raspberry Pi terminal:

    I have tried this with three different serial ports, /dev/ttyAMA0 (yes I did disable the OS from using it), an arduino board /dev/ttyACM0, and a USB to RS485 adaptor /dev/ttyUSB0. All of these ports could be connected and use normally with both a C program and terminal program in the Pi. The API Permissions were set in the project properties / Application Descriptor / API Permissions to jdk.dio.DeviceMgmtPermission "/dev/ttyAMA0". This of course was changed as I tested different devices.
    I found a reference suggesting adding the line "authentication.provider = com.oracle.meep.security.NullAuthenticationProvider" to the end of the jwc_properties.ini file. This had no effect. I found references that during development in eclipse and NetBeans, the app is already elevated to the top level so this should not be an issue until deployment. This does not appear to be the case.
    I am out of time and need a solution quickly. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Terrence,
       Thank you for responding and confirming the issues I'm having with static addressing.  As far as the example above, I do have the standard LEDs working correctly, however, the example I'm referring to above is from the JavaME samples using the GPIO Port for the LEDS, according to the Device I/O Preconfigured List you referenced:
    GPIO Ports
    The following GPIO ports are preconfigured.
    Devicel ID
    Device Name
    Mapped
    Configuration
    8
    LEDS
    PTB22
    PTE26
    PTB21
    direction = 1 (Output only)
    initValue = 0
    GPIOPins:
    controllerNumber = 1
    pinNumber = 22
    mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
    controllerNumber = 4
    pinNumber = 26
    mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
    controllerNumber = 1
    pinNumber = 21
    mode = 4 (Push-pull mode)
    So is the assumption that using GPIOPort for accessing the GPIO port for Device ID 8 as listed in the Device I/O Preconfigured list not supported?

  • Howto: Zones in private subnets using ipfilter's NAT and Port forwarding

    This setup supports the following features:
    * Requires 1 Network interface total.
    * Supports 1 or more public ips.
    * Allows Zone to Zone private network traffic.
    * Allows internet access from the global zones.
    * Allows direct (via ipfilter) internet access to ports in non-global zones.
    (change networks to suit your needs, the number of public and private ip was lowered to simplify this doc)
    Network setup:
    iprb0 65.38.103.1/24
    defaultrouter 65.38.103.254
    iprb0:1 192.168.1.1/24 (in global zone)
    Create a zone on iprb0 with an ip of 192.168.1.2

    # forward from a public port to a private zone port
    rdr iprb0 65.38.103.1/32 port 2222 -> 192.168.1.2 port 22

    # allow any 192.168.1.x zone to use the internet
    map iprb0 192.168.1.0/24 -> 0/32 proxy port ftp ftp/tcp
    map iprb0 192.168.1.0/24 -> 0/32 portmap tcp/udp auto
    map iprb0 192.168.1.0/24 -> 0/32For testing purposes you can leave /etc/ipf/ipf.conf empty.
    Be aware the you must "svcadm disable ipfilter; svcadm enable ipfilter" to reload rules and the rules stay loaded if they are just disabled(bug).
    Zones can't modify their routes and inherit the default routes of the global zone. Because of this we have to trick the non-global zones into using a router that doesn't exist.

    route add -net $public_net 192.168.1.2 -ifaceNow we have both public and private ip addresses on our one iprb0 interface. If we'd really like our private zone network to really be private we don't want any non-NAT'ed 192.168.1.x traffic leaving the interface. Since ipfilter can't block traffic between zones because they use loopbacks we can just block the 192.168.1.x traffic and the zones can still talk.

    #pass out quick on iprb0 proto icmp from 65.38.103.1/32 to any icmp-type 3 keep stateIf you want incoming and outgoing internet in your zones it is easier if you just give them public ips and setup a firewall in the global zone. If you have limited public ip address(I'm setting up a colocation 1u server) then you might take this approach. One of the best things about doing thing this way is that any software configured in the non-global zones will never be configured to listen on an ip address that might change if you change public ips.

    Instead of using the script as a legacy_run script, set it up in SMF.
    First create the file /var/svc/manifest/system/ip-route-hack.xml with
    the following
    ---Start---
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE service_bundle SYSTEM
    "/usr/share/lib/xml/dtd/service_bundle.dtd.1">
    <!--
    ident "@(#)ip-route-hack.xml 1.0 09/21/06"
    -->
    <service_bundle type='manifest' name='NATtrans:ip-route-hack'>
    <service
    name='system/ip-route-hack'
    type='service'
    version='1'>
    <create_default_instance enabled='true' />
    <single_instance />
    <dependency
    name='physical'
    grouping='require_all'
    type='service'
    restart_on='none'>
    <service_fmri value='svc:/network/physical:default' />
    </dependency>
    <dependency
    name='loopback'
    grouping='require_all'
    type='service'
    restart_on='none'>
    <service_fmri value='svc:/network/loopback:default' />
    </dependency>
    <exec_method
    type='method'
    name='start'
    exec='/lib/svc/method/svc-ip-route-hack start'
    timeout_seconds='0' />
    <property_group name='startd' type='framework'>
    <propval name='duration' type='astring'
    value='transient' />
    </property_group>
    <stability value='Unstable' />
    <template>
    <common_name>
    <loctext xml:lang='C'>
    Hack to allow zone to NAT translate.
    </loctext>
    </common_name>
    <documentation>
    <manpage
    title='zones'
    section='1M'
    manpath='/usr/share/man' />
    </documentation>
    </template>
    </service>
    </service_bundle>
    ---End---
    then modify /var/svc/manfiest/system/zones.xml and add the following
    dependancy
    ---Start---
    <dependency
    name='inet-ip-route-hack'
    type='service'
    grouping='require_all'
    restart_on='none'>
    <service_fmri value='svc:/system/ip-route-hack' />
    </dependency>
    ---End---
    Finally create the file /lib/svc/method/svc-ip-route-hack with the
    contents of S99zone_route_hack, minus the sleep timer (perms 0755). Run
    'svccfg import /var/svc/manifest/system/ip-route-hack.xml' and 'svccfg
    import /var/svc/manifest/system/zones.xml'.
    This will guarantee that ip-route-hack is run before zones are started,
    but after the interfaces are brought on line. It is worth noting that
    zones.xml may get overwritten during a patch, so if it suddenly stops
    working, that could be why.

  • Tax simplifier statement pdf does not open in chrome, but works in IE

    Hi,
    we are using the Tax simplifier statement
    http://server:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/hress_a_rep_in_ssitp?sap-wd-configId=HRESS_AC_REP_IN_SSITP&sap-accessibility=X#
    it is opening properly in Internet explorer, but in google chrome, it is not displaying, instead, giving following message.
    I already have latest adobe reader.
    is there anything, we can do to enable to open in chrome.
    i tried to enhance the component HRGRT_FC_DOCUMENT_DISPLAY to make the xstring OUTPUT_CONTENT-PDF_SOURCE to download the pdf, but that too works only in IE but not in chrome.
    is there any way to enable/make it available in chrome.

  • Not working in mobile device with port :8083

    Alo! I've been following step by step the guide in here Shadow + xip.io: Virtual Hosts Workflow Simplified | Adobe Edge Inspect Team Blog and I could see the site on my desktop. My "problem" is that when I try to watch on the iPhone I got a 403 error. Anyone knows why? Does anyone could succeed with drupal and 8083 ports? I'm more designer rather developper and I guess this error is related with some permissons with apache configuration but wich apache? The desktop one or the acquia app?? I've spent almost two days seraching and trying everywhere without succeded. Hope anyone could help. Thanks in advance!

    Renamed UIComponentAccImpl to UIComponentAccProps because it extends AccessibilityProperties, not AccessibilityImplementation.
    Added comments with the identifier for each magic role constant, so that it is easier to understand what roles our components are using.
    Moved two static methods from UIComponentAccProperties to AccImpl because they make more sense there.

    Simplified how an accessibility class gets hooked into its corresponding component class.
    We now do the hooking in the static method enableAccessibility(), which is called by code that is autogenerated by the compiler. Previously this method did nothing and the hooking happened at static initialization time. This allows us to remove the static var accessibilityHooked and the static method hookAccessibility() in each accessibility class.

    Accessibility changes to Panel and TitleWindow, as requested by Freedom Scientific.
    These components now report their accessibility role as "grouping" rather than "window". Their accessibility name is now simply their title. They no longer report any child items. Their accessibility location is the bounding rect of the entire Panel or TitleWindow.
    The AccessibilityImplementation continues to be attached to the titleBar, not to the Panel/TitleWindow, because the Flash Player ignores Sprites with an AccessibilityImplementation that are inside other Sprites with an AccessibilityImplementation. (The Flash accessibility model is flat, not hierarchical, and "child IDs" are only used for things like list items, not for controls in titled container.)
    So although in the display hierarchy the Panel is a parent of its content controls, in the MSAA model it appears as their preceding sibling. JAWS will look at the "grouping" role and understand that because the bounding rect of the grouping includes some of its following siblings, they are "inside". (I don't know what this means in terms of what JAWS will actually speak.)
    Also, the AccImpl class now implements getChildIDArray() to return an empty array, so that by default all components have 0 child items (rather than reporting an error).
    Finally, subclasses with child items now compute how many they have and then call a new AccImpl utility method, createChildIDArray(), to create an Array that looks like [ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ].

    Accessibility changes to List, DataGrid, Menu, and Tree, as requested by Freedom Scientific, to behave more like their corresponding standard Windows controls.
    List, DataGrid, and Menu no longer report an accessibility value, either for the control itself or for its child items.
    Tree no longer reports a value value for itself. For tree items the value is the indentation level as a String: "0", "1", "2", etc. Previously the top-level items had value "1" instead of "0".

    AccImpl now implements accSelect(). Although the implementation doesn't do anything, its existence is enough to avoid having the Player report an IAccessible "member not found" error when calling accSelect() on a child item.

    Removed code in AccordionHeaderAccImpl and TabBarAccImpl where the child IDs were being adjusted up or down by 100000 for some unknown reason. Deneb (on Flash Player) and Nataliya and Jon (on JAWS) don't think this should be done.

    Fixed missing or misplaced 'break' statements in the eventHandler() methods of the mx.accessibility classes. These have probably been causing some unintented MSAA events to be dispatched.
    Also, each accessible component now dispatches OBJ_NAMECHANGE when its toolTip or errorString property changes, because the MSAA name includes the tooltip or error tip.

    Accessibility changes to the MSAA name of several components, as requested by Freedom Scientific. These changes make Flex controls behave more like standard Windows controls.
    In Accordion and TabBar, the name is now just what is displayed, without " Tab" or " Tab, Active" appended.
    In ComboBox, List, and Tree, the name of each item is now just what it displays, without, for example, "2 of 7" appended.
    Removed an artificial limit of 100000 items in List and Menu.
    A Slider with an MXML id no longer returns that id as its name; no other component does this and id's are certainly no intended to be spoken.
    Removed the getName() method of ComboBase, which isn't used.

  • How do setup the URL alias  without the port number 7001?

    Hi all,
    I am using Weblogic 8.1 and have the following url http://solutions.company.com:7001/application.
    I would like to simplify this URL by removing the port number to http://solutions.company.com/application.

  • Problem printing simplified Chinese on PM4i printer using multi-byte data

    I am new to printing data in Simplified Chinese and have tried for a period of time to get it to work but it is not working. I would appreciate any help.
    This is what I have:
    1. Chinese data stored as multi-byte data in oracle 10g db. It is in one of the attribute fields on the mtl_system_items table. The data field it is stored in is defined as varchar2(240). I have to extract that data and print it out as simplified Chinese characters on 3x4 label stock on PM4i printer which is setup to use IPL as the default language.
    2. Purchased the simplified Chinese font kit ( compact flash card ) and plugged it into the compact flash port on back of the printer. The simplified Chinese font is assigned.
    3. Created simple program to build the label file to send to the printer to print the Chinese glyphs. I expected 3 to print but it only prints 1 Chinese glyph and that is not the correct.
    a. Data shown in Chinese

    b. Data in hex format => E4BCA0E6849FE599A8

    Welcome you post on the forum.

  • How to simplify the url

    Dear all,
    the url for ebs R12 is like this
    http:prod.company.com:8001
    my question: is there a way to simplify this as
    http:prod.company.com
    so users do not have to remember the port 8001.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi,
    This can be achieved by changing the web (Apache) port to 80, please see (Note: 578001.1 - How To Configure Apache In R12 (10.1.3) To Listen On A Restricted Port (< 1024)) for details.
    Another way could be through DNS, your network administrator should be able to help here.

    Hussein

  • Frames forwarded to wrong access port

    Hi,
    my problem is quite simple:
    I have an access port of my switch 3750 that receive frames that aren't for his mac-address -.-
    System image file is "flash:c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-40.SE/c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-40.SE.bin"
    Here the config:
    interface GigabitEthernet1/0/11
     description Server fisico test LACP
     switchport access vlan 103
     switchport mode access
     spanning-tree portfast
    end
    Acc-Dev-SAP02#show mac address-table interface GigabitEthernet1/0/11
              Mac Address Table
    Vlan    Mac Address       Type        Ports
     103    000a.e481.1b90    DYNAMIC     Gi1/0/11
    Total Mac Addresses for this criterion: 1
    The switch correctly show the mac-address of my ethernet port:
    [root@server ~]# ifconfig management0 | grep -i ether
    ether 00:0a:e4:81:1b:90  txqueuelen 1000  (Ethernet)
    Now I assume that if I try to sniff the traffic on my ethernet card eth0 (I renamed it with udev) I should see only frame that have in the dest_ether my mac address but it is not so! Here a little sniff with tcpdump:

    Rick, I'm sure, has simplified "... so forwards to all ports in the vlan.", but just to note, that excludes the ingress port.

  • Changing OCS ports 7778 and 7777

    dear all,
    i have ocs r2 implemented over linux as3.0, and i want to change the login ports from http://host.domain:7778 to just http://host.domain and as you know the http://host.domain:7778 redirect you to http://host.domain:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
    so how can i do that i want every thing without any ports, kinly note that iam in a prodaction environmnet.
    fadi

    Thesuggested modification to the Apache-server or the web-cache will allow you to enter an URL without the :7777, but you will then be redirected to 7777 ports. This is fine if you only want to simplify the access.
    However, if you want to run everything on port 80, you must apply several changes to your installation. If you have access to metalink, you will find a thorough procedure description in note 272811.1

  • Port forwarding RV016

    Hello to all cisco experts!!
    Hi guys im new here, I need ur help, I've got a Cisco small business router RV016.  At first I have no problem in port forwarding because our first ISP install with simply  DSL broadband modem, for some issue on our first ISP, our company acquire a new DSL connection on a different ISP.  My problem now is our second ISP install to us a DSL modem with 4 ports built-in router so how can I forward a port for our Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) in our Cisco RV016 while the Public IP address is in the Second ISP router.  I know I can use the port forwarding feature on our Second ISP router, but I would like to use the port forwarding in our Cisco RV016 because we also use the the VPN client access feature in our Cisco RV016.
    Is there a way to solve my problem guys? I highly appreciate all your helps, thanks in advance.
    Ricardo Trupa

    Ricardo,
    My name is Ismael. Iam with Small Business Support center and do appreciate you reaching out to us. From what you have described to us is that you having issue with port forwarding with RDP (3389). I am also understanding that you have a Modem/router combo from ISP and then the RV016.
    For port forwarding to work, you need two rules one on your modem/router  and one on your RV016 . So its source ip address will be the LAN of this modem and destination is WAN ip address of the RV180. Another rule is then configured on RV180 WAN pointing to LAN of the internal device  you trying to reach. So its source ip will be the WAN on RV016 and destination will be LAN ip address of the internal device you trying to reach. This type of double port forwards can be complex and unstable.  So if your network allows for configuration changes then you modem can be set to bridge mode, to simplify things and have them working for you all the time.
    The single port forward can still be done, but it would require for your ISP to fully bridge your Modem. This will allow for RV016 to receive a public ip on WAN1. Once bridged only one rule is required on your RV016. Hope this helps you.
