Simulate "excel sheet" in a BLOCK FORM

I have to ask, since I am looking at grid beans. Does anyone know of a bean implementing a grid that would work with Forms 9i? I had successfully implemented this type of functionality with ocx's in prior version.
I see how to call methods and set properties of beans in the UI, but what do you do when the methods use objects like a table row (an array of strings) or more complex objects as parameters?
I located a couple of beans like this implemented in swing, and get them into a bean area on a form canvas. However, in both cases, the bean area cannot be dragged around or resized in forms developer, say, like the progressbar example or indeed other beans I have used. Is there a document describing how a bean has to be designed to be fully operable within the developer environment ?
Help on any of these questions appreciated.

Hello,
You would normally use RFBIBL00 with a flat asci-file which is on a server directory. RFBIBl00 uses
certain types of input structures - BGR00, BBKPF and so on (look to the documentation of this report).
In the BBKPF there's a field transaction code - from that RFBIBL00 know's what to do.
If you got a excel-file, you can use the LSMW to build such a structured file for RFBIBL00.

How to show the result of query in oracle forms 10g to Excel Sheet File

Dear All,
I have query and i want the result to be show in excel sheet file in oracle forms
for example if i have a form with search criteria and when pressed the button of ( export to excel ) the result is
excel file contains the result of the query .

The only method to achieve this is with the help of Webutil. Please go through documentation for more help.

If the excel spreadsheet is on the database server then you can create an oracle table that is actaully mapped directly to the excel file (I'm assuming you can save the excel file as a csv file)

(fields terminated by ',')
location ('your_file.csv')
Then you create your usual entity and view objects on this.

Need to download the ALV blocked output in to excel sheet

I have a requirement where there is a need to download the Alv block output to excel sheet. when i click on excel button which is on output only header block data is coming in excel sheet.but i need both header block and item block data into excel.

create a pushbutton on the toolbar,
whenever user clicks the pushbutton,
call the fm gui_download for 2 times
for the first time,
append = ' ',
and for second time.
append = 'X'.

How to synchronize a cell in form with a cell in MS excel sheet

I can successfuly export data to excell using the ole2 package. But the problem is that exporting data from A datablock in a form to Excel sheet is not enough.
I need to automaticaly copy updates occures on the datablock to its equilivant in the excel sheet. In other words , i need to synchronize my datablock items with facing cells in the excel sheet,so the cells'values in excel sheet automatiacly changes to be the values in the datablock items

I tried the oracle forms demo "OLEEXCEL.fmb" . But this form is not working correct .
I need to embed ole2 in my form that holds excel sheet and passes values from text items to the excel sheet.

1- in the main canvas i insert the OLE2 control
2- Right Click and choose insert
3- from the dialog i chosed Excel Sheet

How can I mail the Job Log in the form of an excel sheet?

Daily I have to monitor a Job and I have to retrieve the Job Log in an excel sheet, Format the excel sheet, and then mail the excel sheet and the Job Status(Finished/Cancelled) to Client/Person Incharge.
I want to automate this entire process. Please guide me, how can I write a program that mails the Job Log, in the form of an excel sheet, to the Client?

Exporting new form responses to existing master Excel sheet?

Hello,
As we receive responses to our .pdf form each day, we would like to export the responses to a running master Excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to export the form data from new .pdf responses without having to over-write the master Excel sheet?
The master Excel sheet data will be connected to a series of pivot tables which we'd like to refresh once we import new data.

Not in front of the system at the moment, but when you click on Local File, there is an option called Unformatted if i am right (the first one) select that & then save it in .txt format & later open in Excel, it should maintain the formatting.
Check & revert if it solves the issue.

Generate Forms Output into multiple Excel Sheets

I have a Forms 5.0 application which I am currently web-enabling. The application output is in Microsoft Excel. The output can span multiple sheets depending upon the parameters selected by the user. I am using text_io package to generate a html file with links and anchors for different sheets. Is it possible to generate multiple sheets directly in Excel using a text file.

But I think this is not the solution for my problem.
I try to explain my problem again. I have a web template with filter, analyse table and infofield. The infofield contains the selected filter values. There is also a button for export into excel. In WAD 7.0 you have only to set several parameters for the export command and the export to excel works. However all web items will be transfered into the first excel sheet among one another.
Is it possible to export one web item into the first excel-sheet and the second web item into the second excel-sheet of the same excel workbook?

Hi, we have a requirement that we created custom excel sheet form for invoice entry and upon click of a button in excel sheet, it should start SAP logon screen and after entering user id and password it should start invoice creation screen with default data that exists in excel sheet. you can't produce with dbms_output.put_line a file which is directly readable by Excel.

Down Loading ALV Output to Excel Sheet

Hi All,
I am working on Vendor Line Items Report which have both Header details as well as line item details.
So i developed Heirarical ALV to display the output and it is working fine.But my problem is Downloading output to Excel sheet functionality is not working.
In output screen LIST->EXPORT->SPREADSHEET functionality is not working.
Please give me suggestions regarding the same or is there any another way to do the same by using ALV List Display.
