Since the recent Firefox update, our customers can no longer place items selected for purchase into the shopping cart; what is the cause and the fix?

Since Firefox was recently updated, customers who use Firefox as their browser can no longer place items selected at our e-commerce site into their shopping cart. We are not experiencing this problem with customers who use IE as their browser.

I created a brand new blank Captivate 6 file, applied a theme, inserted a few new slides and tried Preview. It worked! All four of the Captivate files I used in my previous testing were based on one file which hadn't been touched for two weeks. Somehow while working in the lastest file, either removing unused items from the Library or killing errors while Publishing, something somewhere got corrupted or removed. Something that all four files must have pointed to, since as soon as the latest file broke, all of the other files stopped working as well. Since the original file was inherited, I'm not even sure how to go about finding the problem. In my case, it won't be too big of a deal. I will create a clean template file and rebuild.

Since the new Mevericks update my Air can no longer connect to a shared Itunes lib on Macbook Pro

Hi,
I have two mac laptops at home. My pro and my air. I have it setup so that I stream all my media from my pro to my air.
I updated my pro to the newest Mavericks version. Since that update I can no longer connect to my library on my pro via my air.
Please note that this problem here is with the mac book pro! I updated my air last night and i could still stream.
All I get is the usual "loading library" (on my air's itunes) but it never connects.
Other than restarting the application (on both computers) and restarting (both computers) what else can I do?
Are other people having the same problem??

Unfortunately I cannot get any of the OS X browsers I have tried to get beyond the accepting the site's certificate. All just stall waiting on the Outlook Web Access site. Safari 3.1, Camino, Flock, Firefox (2.0.0.12 and 3 beta 4), Netscape (7.1 and 9), Microsoft's Internet Explorer (thinking that might be more integrated with its Outlook Web Access package).
I have even deleted the certificates from my Keychain (for Safari) or within the other browsers' preferences.
Last night I even re-applied the 10.4.11 combo updater and then checked for software updates to confirm my system was up to date, but again without success when attempting to reach the Outlook Web Access site.

Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4+ versions.
You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the about:config page.
* browser.gesture.pinch.in -> cmd_fullZoomReduce
* browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset
* browser.gesture.pinch.out -> cmd_fullZoomEnlarge
* browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> cmd_fullZoomReset

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)

Since I installed a new printer I can no longer print items from the internet.

See above question. Bought my printer at Best Buy. They said it could be a browser problem. I have Firefox. My Firefox is up to date. No problem printing documents, just cant print items from the internet.

Have you tried to see of the firmware on your printer needs to be updated? If apple happened to change the protocols for air print (I don't know if they did but anything is possible) then your printer's firmware will also need to be updated.
You can also see if a simple reboot helps. Turn your printer off then on, power cycle your router - unplug it, count to ten, plug it back in, and reboot your iPad (hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple, then let go and let it reboot)
sometimes just letting the electronics get a fresh start can help a ton.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

Since upgrading to LR 5.6 I can no longer change paper sizes for user print templates.

The print preview window shows the new size laid out properly but the printer feeds only the size which was used to create the preset resulting in clipping if a larger paper and cell size is invoked in page setup or xs white space if a smaller is invoked. OS X 10.8.5, Stylus pro 7890. REINSTALLED PRINTERS AND DRIVERS, DELETED AND REPLACED LR PREFERENCE FILE, Other aps print ok. I

While the problem is unsolved I have found a workaround. If I use the "Printer" button (lower far right) and print from the printer dialed pop up custom paper sizes chosen in the "page setup" are honored and the layout prints as shown in the LR print preview). On the other hand, If I print using the "Print" button the printer feeds only the paper size chosen when creating the preset.

Can't delete/remove items listed as not available in shopping cart

i have 2 songs in my itunes shopping cart which are listed as "not available" (under an album title, i assume, because both songs are contained under an arrow). i tried clicking on the "x" button to remove, as well as trying to highlight and delete. neither worked. the songs are stuck in my shopping cart. now, instead of purchasing songs in a group as i normally do, i have to download each of the songs that are available separately.
how do i remove this item (which contains two songs), from my shopping cart?
has anyone else had this problem?

Figured this out on my own.

When using Firefox to access my Mobile Me e-mail account, since the recent Firefox update, I'm no longer able to attach a file to an e-mail. When I log in to my mobile me account with IE I can. Any ideas?

It stopped working this week, right I update to the latest version of Firefox. The system kept asking me about add-ons which hadn't done in the past.

Since I did the recent firefox update the it takes up the entire screen and I can see nothing on top or bottom and my screen controls do not help this. What can I do?

There are no more details to give.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F). 
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear. 
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

Since the recent Firefox update my Facebook page is distorted and rearranged, I've tried all possible solutions and ready to switch to safari!

Since Firefox's recent update, my FB page is off center and rearranged awkwardly. On Safari and Chrome this doesn't happen so I'm certain it's FF. I've tried clearing the cache, reseting the page in safe mode, checking page style etc etc and nothing has changed.

Restore Previous Session should be an option available under the History options:

If that only restores your last (update) session, you might be out of luck.
Since I'm constantly browsing a PLETHORA of tabs, and don't like to re-bookmark all of them, AND still have them persist a FF restart, I use Session Manager:

It also has a "backup" feature, which backs up your current session every "x" minutes.

HT1923 i had to reinstall iTunes to my laptop due to a virus and hardware issue with the harddrive. since reinstalling it i can no longer find any of my purchased songs or movies. how do i recover all of the content in my account?

can anyone help me through this? i have had this happen a few times but my iTunes list usually comes back just fine and i have all of the content restored.

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

Since upgrading to FireFox 7, yahoo sports pages no longer automatically refresh to keep game summaries current ... what needs to be set to allow automatic refresh again.

For years, prior to upgrading to FireFox 7, following games on Yahoo Sports was easy due to the auto refresh of the screens every 10 or 15 seconds. Now with FireFox 7, that feature seems to be inactive ... there is no auto refresh of the screen. Is there a setting that needs to be changed to bring back the auto refresh?

I was able to fix the issue here. Steps Taken: From the comand line I ran
dscl /Search read /Users/jdoe HomeDirectory
It returned # No such key: HomeDirectory
This was the big clue.... it should have returned
HomeDirectory: <home_dir><url>afp://files.hihllc.lan/Users/jdoe</url><path>/</path></home_dir>
I unbound the Mac from AD and ran the following command in terminal.
dscacheutil -flushcache
I then went into OS X sharing preferences and renamed the computer slightly, so it would create a new computer record in AD. I rebound the machine to AD making sure in Directory Utility Advanced, under User Experience that Force local home directory on start up disk was unchecked and Network protocol to be used was AFP.
I then ran
dscl /Search read /Users/jdoe HomeDirectory
and it returned
HomeDirectory: <home_dir><url>afp://files.hihllc.lan/Users/jdoe</url><path>/</path></home_dir>
I had the user reboot... which was necessary. When he logged in HomeSync fired up. He had quite a few conflicts, so I told him to select use files on this computer for all conflicts.
I checked the FileSyncAgent.logs and it was good.
