Why not upgrade to Snow Leopard, if you can?
NO. There is no way to downgrade your iPhone OS back to iOS6. Apple makes downgrades of their mobile OS not possible.
If you can, the only thing you can do is upgrade your Mac's OS X operating system.

Depending your OS, you can do it through iCloud, through iTunes 'info' tab when your device is connected. You can do it through an email account if that's what calendar is set up to use.

tried to apply the IOS 7.0.2 update to my Iphone 4 running IOS 7 last night, the process failed and the device is in some type of Recovery Mode, when I try to restore using latest version of itunes it appears to download 1 item, then posts a message of 'iphone software update (processing file)' but does not ever appear to complete, please tell me how I can get this corrected, thank you!
a quick update, I turned off all security software on my windows desktop and tried this 'Restore' process via iTunes again and it appears to be processing....what an unbelievable PITA

I would try doing it again (running Software Update), immediately after doing a Restart. If it still does not work, both of those updates are available as stand-alone installers.

How to make my iphone sync with my Mac Book Pro without icloud
My iphone no longer syncs with Mac Book Pro now that I have downloaded Maverick. It just flicks open synching and flicks on to say "waiting for change to be applied" before it closes it's attempt at syncing and does nothing. I have read elsewhere it is because Maverick wants us to use icloud but I don't want to sync my contacts and calendar on icloud as it is not secure enough with the confidential information I have on my calendar and in contacts. I just want to make sure that my contacts are backed up on my computer as well as my calendar saying the same thing on my iphone as well as my Mac. My Mac calendar is the most up to date version at the moment and when I go out to meetings I want my iphone to be up to date too. All help appreciated in solving this syncing problem. Thanks
Plug yr iPhone to your compu in the old fashioned way with cable.
Just to cover yourself...select the iPhone in Devices of left pane of iTunes window, then on main pane, select radio button Back up to Computer. Right click on the iPhone in devices, do a backup. It shld then be on your compu'.
Then, back in main windo, select Info 'tab' from top of the right pane, and tick the Sync iCal events.
I'm sure this will help.
If it all goes pear-shape, u have the backup to restore the pre-sync device. -

When I go to install app I'm asked for my password which I enter and then press go and
it looks like it is going to load then switches back to the app I'm trying to load and then
I'm back where I started. I have tried more than ten times, I have even changed my password
on Apple ID.

I searched a lot and maybe found a part of the reason for this high data traffic.
I'm synchronizing my contacts, calendar & reminder with iCloud & my mail with Hotmail.
When push is activated for Hotmail, that doesn't matter, but when push is activated for iCloud, the amount of data nearly explodes. So I turned iCloud to manual and let Hotmail on push.
Contacts, calendar & reminder are synchronizing when opened (I think this is enough).
Also I do a backup on iCloud and than I deactivate the function (I do not delete the last backup, I only deactivate the option for automatic backup).
It seems, that the backup functionality also generates traffic when not on WiFi - especially at night!!
The battery life has been getting better, when I deactivated the support for automatic time zone changes (location services were always on).
The battery finaly got MUCH BETTER since the update on iOS 5.0.1.
My traffic is actually higher than on iOS 4 but not so high as before I deactivated some services...

Do you have MMS turn on in Settings?
Are you provisioned by your carrier to use MMS?
Lastly, give your phone carrier a call, as MMS is a carrier feature. -

Since updating my iphone 4S to ios 7.1 my phone will no longer ring and apps do not have sound. I have made sure the do not disturb is not turned on and have also gone into Accessibility and made sure sound is not off there. I have done a reboot and also a reset of the settings. When I set my ring tone, the sample tone plays, however, the phone only vibrates when I get a call. The apps also do not have any sound. Everything was working fine until the update.
I am positive the half moon isn't there. That one caught me once before so now I am careful to check.

Okay. I got it working again by setting it up as a new phone instead of just syncing. Then I backed up. All is good today.

The phone pairs ok with car, and my phone is recognised but then it cuts off the radio and says that I'm in a call, I can't cancel the call or do anything. I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.
