Since updating to the 5.2 version on my apple TV I no longer seem to be able to get movies???Help...

I have Apple TV 2, upgraded to the current software and ever since doing that I'm no longer able to open any trailers or movies. If I click on a movie title it just takes me to a blank screen where the little "thinking" circle spins around for a bit then just boots me back to the main movie menu. I'm lost and confused as I have never really had any problems with this device. I have tried rebooting it, both through the settings and also by unplugging the cord without any luck...Any ideas on how I might fix this would be greatly appreciated? Oh and everything else seems to work fine, youtube, home sharing, airplay etc...

Hi - I had the exact same problem with two my Apple TVs ever since the latest update. The same solution worked for both. I had to reset all of the settings back to factory settings, so that I started with the choice of languages. A simple restart didn't work. After a complete reset, the movies menu worked normally again. You will find the reset options at the bottom of the General tab in Settings.
As an aside (in case someone from Apple reads these posts) it is HIGH TIME that Apple TVs pair with Bluetooth keyboards. It is now much easier to re-enter the 5 accounts I have on Apple TV (iTunes, NetFlix, etc) with a keyboard instead of using the Apple remote. Obviously the Apple TVs have had Bluetooth radios in them for some time, but only lately have the devices been able to pair. The Apple TV is more useful now. Perhaps it wouldn't be such a small niche product had Apple made that simple feature available years ago. So much for my PSA...

First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

My iPhone 5 is not allowing updating to the newest iOS version 6.1.3. I missed doing the 6.1.2 update before 6.1.3 was available. It wants to install the 6.1.2 update, but, once I agree to the terms it tells me I can't because I am not connected to the Internet. It is connected to the net, as proved by surfing and iTunes, both by LTE and wireless. I have tried both a full shutdown as well as the most of the easy tricks to, like with apps updates, to get it to refresh. Has anyone had this issue since the 6.1.3 release, and is there an easy way to resolve the conflict.

The next iOS update won't change this.

I followed all of the instructions on the apple website and they still don't work. I have verified that I have apple support for mobile devices installed in itunes and my version of itunes is 11.0.1. I would like to find out if there is a way for a message to pop up on my website if the user has Flash Player version lower than 10.1. If the version 10.1 or higher (in the future) no message should come up. The message should prompt a user to update to the Flash Player version 10.1.
My entire site is in Flash and I am using AS3. So I am guessing I should implement an AS3 code on the first frame of the script layer. Does anyone know what would be this code?

Wondering if you have a current Backup on iTunes ...if yes you could put the iPhone in DFU Mode by holding the Home button while you plug in the lightning cable. Then you could Restore the iPhone to Factory Settings on 8.0.2 and after a full Restore go back and then Restore from your Backup. This happens every time a public release occurs. Many folks on the Golden Master or otherwise in the AppleSeed program with a Beta version for some reason don't move to the official release ...then the software time-bomb hits and they can't upgrade.

To everyone that is having this problem:
I just ended a 2 hour session with Apple Tech Support. We had to take it to a level 2 support person, but finally got it running. Here's what she had me do. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall ALL Apple products on the Computer. This inccluded Apple Mobile Device Itunes, Bonjour and Quicktime. I doubt if we would have had to but she had me download a fresh copy of iTunessetup.exe and run it. iTunes came up and ran on version 11.1.4. Then I reinstalled Quicktime.
It is my personal opinion that there is a flaw in version 11.1.4. You shouldn't have to go through all of these hoops just to update a single application that was working fine proir to the update attempt.
That's what worked for me. Hope this helps you. Any questions, get back to me.

just hit the  logo in the menu bar (the menu bar is the bar wich is in the top of ur screen) then click "Software Update..." and check the where it says iTunes, then click Update. ur mac will restart and then iTunes will have the latest version (10.5.1)

Once you are at 10.6.8 Lion is still available from Apple. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. to purchase it. Then within 3 days you will get an email with a code which you can use to download Lion from the App Store. The price is $19.99.
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors.
