Since upgrade to os5 video files from emails can no longer be viewed, they are downloaded as before, but I am no longer asked which program to open file with. I used Azule without problems before os5' now os5 tries to open video file and stalls. Any fix
Os5 must have changed playback functionality of video files, it tries to play .wmv files, but crashes...it shows "loading", but nothing happens. Before update it would prompt me to choose an app to show the file, Azule worked great, but now it doesn't offer to chose an app.
How do I fix this?
Indeed you were right. I though that in single mode all services were not started, but apparently I was mistaken.
However, as I feared, there seemingly is no useful info in it.

Sounds like the device is in recovery mode. You will need to restore the phone. See this support document for instructions. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

I would like to know if I can "join CD tracks" once they are downloaded into a playlist in my ITunes folder on my computer and/or how do you "join CD tracks" if you are downloading from iTunes itself. From the information through the "Help" menu, it seems you can only "join cd tracks" when you are in the process of downloading them from a CD onto your iTunes playlist?

Since upgrading to FF 7.0.1 I can no longer view .pdf files from web pages and there is no plug in..
The .pdf viewer plug in for FF3.6 worked fine but upgrading to FF7.0.1 has caused the problem. There are no such plugins for this version. I must go back to FF3.6 with the plugin and then if one for FF7.0.1 doesn;t exist by the time Mozilla stops supporting 3.6 I will go back to Safari as my browser I guess.
I already reinstalled the Adobe's and it didn't solve anything. What I did find is that when faced with a pdf I want to view, I have to right click "Save Link As..." and then I can view the resultant pdf. Cumbersome perhaps but I guess it works.
Thanks though for the snotty tone in your response; indeed I realize its not FF's job to ensure my machine is updated. However I'm a business guy not an IT guy and my guess is the business guys at Mozilla would want to be aware of things that would impact the use of their product. And if moving forward with new iterations and updated versions of their product changed the users experience in a negative fashion, however caused, I'm sure they would want to consider what actions they may or may not want to take.
Furthermore its unfortunate that you mistakenly interpreted my words to mean that I expected them to rectify the issue for me. I simply stated that currently it doesn't work for me and if that doesn't change, I would have to move in a different direction. Simple as that. It's not a big deal.
So perhaps your typical IT guy "users are so dumb" mantra was misplaced here. -
After I bought my iTouch, I set up a Wi-Fi network at my office. It worked great and I could connect from most all areas in the building. A couple months ago I upgraded the iTouch system to 6.0. Since then I have only been able to connect very near the office where the express is. Other people, sitting right next to me, can connect there iPads/laptops with no problems. At home, I get a strong connection on my MacBookPro but no connection on my iTouch sitting right next to it.
I since upgraded to 6.0.1 thinking that my issues had been noticed by others and a fix was available. No fix. Bummer!Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

Since upgrading to OS5, I no longer receive notificatios of incoming mail unless I actually click the mail icon. Then it connects to the server and loads mail. Any answers?
Go to System Preferences > iCloud and make sure your account info is correct, delete the password and reenter to be sure it is clean. Go to Mail and then open Preferences and check the account informaiton for the iCloud account and again, delete and reenter the password for the account. Sometimes the passwords get garbled during an upgrade.

Since upgrading my Mac OS X from 10.6.8 to firstly, 10.8 and then, 10.9, I have not been able to open new pdf files on either Preview or Acrobat Reader.
I can still open previously downloaded pdf files but not new ones.
I can still open new pdf files online. However, when I save a pdf to my computer, I cannot open them anymore.
I upgraded to 10.8 a couple of weeks ago and then accepted a free upgrade to Maverick (10.9) this morning. I was hoping that by upgrading to Maverick, I would be able to open pdf files again but alas, that is not the case.
I really need to open pdf files as a matter of urgency as I do this on a daily basis. I am not a computer whizz so if anyone can help find a simple yet effective solution to my problem, that would be much appreciated.

I have deleted Adobe Reader and re-installed it. Yet, it follows the same pattern as above. The same is true of Preview. It's really frustrating because it means I can only open new pdf files using Safari (so I have to be online to do this). I need to be able to open pdf files when I'm offline as well.

My iphone has always connected automatically and without problem to the wifi at work i.e. BTBusinesshub and at home BTHomehub but yesterday it would not connect at work. It is ok at home but again today at work it is not connecting. It appears to try but is not connecting, please help.
You can try doing a reset, hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up - then check wifi - if that doesn't work then
do a network reset note: you will have to reenter wifi password again when your in range.
settings - general - reset - reset network settings. If that doesn't work then I would talk to your IT dept. -

Downgrading the iOS is not supported, and likely has caused the problems you are experiencing.

Delete the cookie and cache of any website you visited that you are uncertain about. That's in your browser preferences. What Mac operating system and browser are we talking about?

Since the ISO8 update I am missing all of my notes from 1/2013 until 6/4014. They are not in the email account either. Can these be restored?
On WinXP Back, Forward, and Home was last in the Firefox 3.6 versions and disappeared as of Firefox 4.0 - and hasn't been seen since.
Doesn't the Mac OSX versions of Firefox have Back and Forward in the context menu (right-click), as Windows and Linux versions do? -
