Single source Multiple Target Messages

Hi All,
I have one Source DataType and 3 TargetDataTypes
I did Mappping and IterfaceMapping successfully while Iam going to Activate the Objects, the follwoing error is showing. Help me to this run successfully,
Error is

Hi,
What is the SP that you are using. If it is XI 3.0 and SP less than 14 then it is not possible. You need to use Abstract interface.
And why do you need Multimapping in the first place. You can do a simple mapping and in the receiver determination you can add more Business Server/System. Each Service/System you will have seprate IB interface and a separate Interface mapping.
Hope this solves your problem.
Thanks,
Prakash

  • Rsync or other backup solution- single source multiple target?

    Seems from http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions … ly-774225/ that I can't do what I want, but I thought I'd ask as well.
My laptop hard disc is going to be backed up to two external hard discs (regular script). What I do right now is run two separate rsync commands, but of course this means that the data (all 300+ GB of it, currently) needs to be read twice. Seems it'd be much more efficient if the data were read once and then written to both external hard discs.
It doesn't seem from the above link and other google resources that this is possible. Can anyone suggest an alternative short of scripting a file-by-file cache?

Doesn't this partially undermine the point of doing two backups? I realise one is off site and that they are on separate devices which rules out some sources of corruption/loss but if you run the backup as you wish and something bad happens to the source during the backup, you are likely to end up with three corrupted copies rather than only two.
I don't manage to do this as I only have one complete backup but I thought that best practice involved not touching one backup while the other backup was being created (or restored or...). That way, you always have one "known good" backup whatever happens.
EDIT: not "whatever happens" but "whichever of any of a larger number of possible catastrophes occurs". Obviously, the third copy could be on a device that dies or explodes or gets drowned by a peeved goldfish at just that moment when mice eat your source during a backup, thus corrupting your other two copies. But you can only plan so far...
This isn't my complete backup solution. I have two hard discs in one location (what I'm asking about here) and another one at a different location. The reason I have two is simply because I have a spare which doesn't have any other use, and it may as well be put to use in this way.
Besides, if something happens to the source, using --backup-dir means I'll still have the last known good copy anyway (not taking into account the backup which is at the different location.

  • Multiple target messages

    Hello,
for our business process, we need to map a single source message to multiple target messages (of different message types).
The (ABAP)mapping takes care of this mapping, so I put a transformation step after my receiver step, that invokes this mapping.
What do I have to define after the transformation step: do I use a fork or a send-for-each-block or ... ? Since we're on SP15, can we use the "extended" option in the interface determination to facilitate our process ?
    Thanks for your answers !
    Kind regards,
    Frederik

  • Searching a Field In Source or Target Message in Message Mapping

    Hey Guys,
I  came accross this peculiar behaviour and it keeps bugging me , I could search any field in source or target message in message mapping in PI 7.0 by copying the path( /ns1:MaestroAcreedores/Acreedores/ClaveDeGrupo or any idoc field /FIDCCP02/IDOC/E1FIKPF/BUDAT  ) but in PI 7.1 i cant , its giving me an error String /ns1:MaestroAcreedores/Acreedores/ClaveDeGrupo not found  , i can only search the field independently. Can anyone please help me out in this.

    Hi
I am not sure whether it worked in 7.0 or not, but having checked myself i can confirm that it is not working in 7.1 in my system also.
For alternative, you can check by changing into source text view where it will display as xml.  Here when you search the keyword, it would display you the hierarchy better than normal view.
I dont think there is any other alternative. although I would say in the worst case scenario you would not have more than 10-15 occurrences of same element in an idoc.

  • Split source message into multiple target messages

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where a source message needs to be split up into multiple messages for the corresponding target systems.
One source system and three target systems.
Source system is a .Net application
Target systems - SAP R/3, Two webservices on different application systems
Can i implement the scenario above using BPM in the following manner?
    Source->WS Adapter->PI-->RFC Adapter->SAP R/3
    Source->WS Adapter->PI-->WS Adapter->Target 2
    Source->WS Adapter->PI-->WS Adapter->Target 3
I could have a webservice at the source which would be called by the .Net Application
Webservice request would be passed to an integration process which would split the message for the three target systems specified.
    Correct me if am wrong.
Also please get back to me if you need more inputs
    Regards,
    Kalyan

    Hi,
You can implement the same with out using the BPM itself...
you can use either of the below options
    1. if target messages are optional like based on certain conditions if you need to route the message to the particular targets
then you can use multimappings for the same which generates the mappings based on the condition for the particular target.
    2. if each incoming message needs to be routed to the three receivers each time then configure the three receivers at the receiver determinations one for each target...
    3. if you are using the same business system for all the three receivers then create the three interface mappings and configure the same at the interface determination level so that for each message three target messages will be generated and send to target...

    Hi Nutan,
Sorry formatting got messed up so posting again.
Sorry for the confusion. Target structure is 0..unbounded.
    Source structure ...................................... Target structure
    Message 1 ...................................................Message 1
    ZHRMD_A07 (1...1)..........................................MT_EMPLOYEE (0....unbounded)

  • Single source sending data through multiple messages to a single reciever

    Hi all,
I am trying to implement the below scenario:
    - I am reading from table1 in a database using a sender channel1. Based on data retrieved, I perform a JDBC lookup on table2 (in same d/b) using a reciever channel2 in an UDF of a message mapping1.
    - The data retreived from table2 is mapped to an intermediate format1. A mapping between the intermediate format and target message type1 is performed and message is sent to the recieving system using a reciever channel3.
    - Now, I need to map data retrieved from table2 to different target message types1,2,3.. based on some criteria and send it to the same reciever. I intend to use a different target message type and intermediate format for every kind of data obtained from table2 and a corresponding mapping.
I plan to do this without using a BPM. Is it possible? If yes, then are the 3 communication channels sufficient to achieve this or do I need to have more communicatin channels?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    This is pretty straight forward...
change your design as folllowing :
    1. as you have both table 1 and 2 in the same database , you can directly write a join query to pick data from both the tables . this can be specified in the sender jdbc adapter
so your source data type would be like
    row..0..un
    +f1(field from table 1)
    +f2( field from table 2)
    +f3(field from table 2)
    2. now just create 3 seperate mappings
mapping 1 = between source structure given above and target MT1
mapping 2= b/w source struc given above and target MT2
mapping 3 = b/w source struc given above and target MT3
    3. use 1 receiver determincation ...1 interface detemination where you keep on adding the message interfaces and interface mapings created above..
    4. use 3 receiver agreemetns

  • Single source message to multiple receivers

    my requirement is
    My source message contains four fields a, b, c , d
It should go to two different receivers , but both of my target messages need fields a, b of my source message.
Please let  me know the possibilities

I have found the issue with xsds and tried the split mapping . (Iam unsing PI 7.1)
In repository I have two inbound interfaces 1st one for first xsd, 2nd inbound interface with 2nd xsd.
Iam stuck in configuration , what needs to be done in configuration inorder to generate two files.
My receiver is same. I just need to send two files to same location.
I noticed there is no enhanced interface determination in PI 7.1 .
    Please share your thoughts.

  • Multiple Target Files as the number of times Item in source node

    Hi all
I am new XI ,my scenario is File to File and my data type structures for source and target are as follows
    Data type for source
    Source
         Header      1:unbound
             Org       1:unbound
In declaration of target data type occurrence of all child nodes are 1:unbounded. And I have used it in Message type and in message mapping for my target message type occurrence is showing as 1:1.
My objective is to replicate this entire Target as the no of times the Item is occurring in source  ie for multiple items in source I want multiple target files. For this I have mapped item node of source to Target(parent node). But in mapping test it is only displaying one Target structure for multiple nodes in source. Please Help me in solving this issue

    Hi Satish,
    Use Multi Mappings :
When you create message mapping change the occurence of target from 1 to unbounded. This will allow you to create multiple target structures.
Then map them accordingly as per your need and you can see multiple output in test.
Just you have to be more focused on the context and for that you have to go thro' the mapping documents.
Search related documents on SDN and go thro' them.
    Regards,
    Shri

  • Mapping is inserting multiple records from a single source to Dimension.

    Hi All,
I am very new to OWB. Please help me out. I've created Dimension with the help of the wizard and then a mapping which consist of single source and single dimension. The mapping is populating nearly 500 times of the actual records. Following are some details to give you a better understanding of mapping: I created a dimension with four levels and two hierarchy. Levels are L1, L2, L3 and L4 and hierarchies are H1-> L1, L2 and L4
and H2-> L3 and L4. L4 is lowest level of hierarchy. L1 and L3 are parent levels in the respective hierarchies. I assigned an attribute of each level as Business identifier that means business identifier attribute is different in each level. In mapping I mapped the parent natural key(Key for parent Level in a hierarchy) as the value which has been mapped for parent level. The result is coming 500 times of the record that exist in source table. I've tried even single common business identifier for each level but again the result is 5 times of the records. Please let me know the solution.
    Thanks is advance.
    Amit

    Hi ,
You may not be having multiple records in your dimension.
To understand better the records insertion, try a snow flake version of the dimension and see how the records are inserted as per the levels in the respective tables.
    Thanks

  • Getting the Source File name Info into Target Message

    Hi all,
I want to get the Source file name Info into Target message of one of the fields.
    i followed Michal BLOG /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    Requirement :
    1) I am able to get the Target file name as same as the source file name when i check the ASMA in Sender & Receiver Adapter , with out any UDF...............this thing is OK
    2) I took One field extra in the target structure Like "FileName" & I mapped it Like
                              Constant(" " )--UDF-----FileName
I Checked the Option ASMA in Both Sender & Receiver Adapters
Here iam getting the Target File name as same as Source file name + Source File name Info in the Target Field " FileName".
I Dont want to get the Target File name as same as Source file name. I want like Out.xml as Target file name.
If i de-select the Option ASMA in Adapters means it is showing " null" value in the target field "FileName".
Please Provide the Solution for this
    Regards
    Bopanna

    Hi All,
Iam able to do this by checking the Option ASMA in only sender adapter itself

  • How to load multiple target tables simultaneously in single interface?

I have a requirement where I have to load data into two target tables in single interface simultaneously. Reason is to populate parent-child relationship on target side as it is coming from the source side.
For eg: I have 2 headers and 10 corresponding lines in source. Now I want load 2 headers into T1 and 10 lines into T2 simultaneously.
    Eg. SOURCE_TABLE
    HeaderId HeaderDesc LineId LineDesc
    1 AAA 10 QQQ
    1 AAA 20 WWW
    2 BBB 30 ZZZ
    2 BBB 10 XXX
    TARGET_TABLES:
    TARGET_HEADER
    HeaderId HeaderDesc
    1 AAA
    2 BBB
    TARGET_LINE
    HeaderId LineId LineDesc
    1 10 QQQ
    1 20 WWW
    2 30 ZZZ
    2 10 XXX
I would appreciate if anyone can provide solution in this scenario.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Giri,
Let me try to build an example... If I misunderstood your requirement please, let me know!
    1) Source table Tab_S
    create table Tab_S as (cs1 number, cs2 varchar2(10))
    2) Table Parent (P)
    create table Tab_P as (cp1 number, cp2 varchar2(10))
    3) Table Child (C)
    create table Tab_C as (cc1 number, cc2 varchar2(10), cp1 number)
    4) Function F$_Tab_C (create it in a ODI procedure)
    4.1 - step 1
    Create or Replace
    Function F$_Tab_C (p_cp2 varchar2, p_cc1 number,p_cc2 varchar2, cp_cp1 number) return varchar2 as
    begin
    insert into Tab_C (cc1, cc2, cp1)
    values (p_cc1, p_cc2, p_cp1);
    return p_cp2;
    end;
associate this step to an procedure option like "Create_Function"
    4.2 - step 1
    Drop Function F$_Tab_C
associate this step to an procedure option like "Drop_Function"
    4.3 - Step 2
Disable the FK constraint and parent and child
associate this step to an procedure option like "Disable_Constraint"
    4.4 - Step 3
    Enable the FK constraint
associate this step to an procedure option like "Enable_Constraint"
    5) ODI interface:
    Source: Tab_S
    Target: Tab_P
    Mapping:
    cp1 ---> cs1
    cp2 ---> F$_Tab_C(cs2, 123, 'abc', cp1)
    6) ODI Package with all flow:
6.1 - Drag and drop the procedure and put the options:
    "Create_Function" yes
    "Disable_Constraint" yes
    "Drop_Function" no
    "Enable_Constraint" no
6.2 - Drag and drop the interface
6.3 - Drag and drop the procedure (again) and put the options:
    "Create_Function" no
    "Disable_Constraint" no
"Drop_Function" yes (optional, can let as NO if you wish)
    "Enable_Constraint" yes
These are the necessary steps.... Maybe there is some syntax error because I build all in a notepad and do not compiled it in the DB. It is just to show you the general idea.
Maybe you can be a little afraid about disable the FK but it is OK because you can guarantee the relationship by logic (funcion).
The only point is that you must be the only one working at the target tables during the process.
Make any sense in your case?

  • A mutilple sources to multiple targets integration interface

I need to populate multiple target tables based on multiple source tables. Is there a way to do it using ODI?
    Many thanks,
    Irina

Tables on the target side are related through a foreign key. So I need to populate target table 1 with interface 1, then populate table 2 with interface 2 using both tables on the source side and a newly populated table 1, right?

  • Multiple Target Data Sources

    JDeveloper v11.1.1.2
Is it possible to set multiple Target Data Source iterators in the edit tree binding dialog?

    Hi Ananda
Thank You very much for your reply!
    B) Yes same data is required in both the applications, but not completely same format or structure. E.g. Siebel is the Customer Hub for the client. All the customer data are required to be migrated to multiple applications (say Oracle EBS & Oracle BRM) after verification process, which happens end of the day. What I require is, the ODI interface should pull data from Siebel once & upload those to both Oracle EBS & Oracle BRM simultaneously as per the mapping rules defined for them. Basically I wanted to avoid hitting Seibel applications twice for pulling Customer data by creating two separate interfaces. Is it possible by using ODI???
    C) Please take same customer scenario in B. Customer is inserted to Oracle EBS & Oracle BRM using two different interfaces executed sequentially in a package. I want to maintain atomicity. i.e. Either Customer to be created in both or none of the applications. If that particular customer failed in 1st interface, it should try in 2nd interface. Also if it get failed 2nd interface, it should rollback in 1st interface. Can this be achieved in ODI?
Hope, the above would clear my query.
    Thank You Again
