Site setup menu corrupted

Manage Sites>Edit> Site Setup. The upper left menu Site/Services/VersionControl/Adv Settings does not respond. Thus i cannot change any settings. I can however use the lower buttons Help/Save/Cancel. I may have deleted something from the registry, trying to do a clean uninstall.

The upper left menu Site/Services/VersionControl/Adv Settings does not respond.
So, when you click on "Servers", nothing happens?
You can try DELETING the local Configuration file and restarting DW.  You will find that file in a location that depends on your operating platform:
MAC --> USER : Library : Application Support : Adobe : Dreamweaver CS5.5 : en_US : Configuration
PC --> Users/<name>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS5.5/en_US/Configuration
(Note - on PC, the AppData folder is normally hidden, so you will have to configure your options not to hide folders.)

I am trying to setup my new time capsule but it is not working. after entering the airport utility and locating the TC, after I tell the program to continue, the unit just disappear from the menu and the setup menu says there is an error. I tried using the wireless connection, and also the cable, but none worked. Any idea of what could be happening?

What are you setting it up as.. join wireless network .. the very worst setup, it will disappear.. reboot the whole network in order modem. router TC.. clients and it will likely reappear.
Tell us what network setup you are using..
If you setup with cable to a computer completely isolated from the network with TC also isolated.. finish the setup of everything you want. .before update.. then plug it into the network. .then restart everything in correct order.. it will work most of the time.

  • Hard drive and dvd are not recognized in the setup menu, what could be wrong?

The hard drive and dvd drive are not recognized on the setup menu for my Pavilion a4316f desktop computer.  Could it be a failure of the controller?  Can a PCI controller be used to replace the mother board controller?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

The Recovery process would erase you hard drive, and attempt to install a fresh OS. Decidely a bad choice if you wanted to save your data files. The Recovery sets are "tattoo" with the BIOS hardwafre configuration. It will not, IMHO, recognize the PCI Sata card.
You mentioned the Recovery program on the hard drive actually requested the installer of the controller (PCI card). Try running from that.

  • Brpwser does not display router setup menu

I have my laptop connected by cable, and have tried to access the router's setup menu with Internet Explorer 6 and firefox.  I enter the password admin and the browser displays a web page with the following text
    name="router_name" size="20" value='WRT54G'
    value="mixed" selected>
I want to change the wireless channel for my desktop which is connected with a wireless linksys pci card.  I even disabled the laptop's wireless connection and the windows firewall.
Has anyone encountered this problem?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please make sure that the computer that you're using to access the router's setup page has no firewall (I mean to say firewall should be turned off, anti-virus, zonealarm and other security softwares). Make sure that you've cleared the cache as well (open an Internet explorer browser>on the top part of the page select tools>internet options>hit delete cookies, files and clear history)... Try another computer too. If ever none works, it might be necessary to upgrade the router's firmware.

  • Site Manager Menu option not there

I watched the BC gurus tutorial and looked at online docs. There is no Site Manage> Menu option in the manage area for this site. It makes it impossible to add or modify menus. The Content Holder gives no options to create specifically a menu.
This has to be easy or it is really a bad change. It is easier to develop in DW than BC. That is not good.
I'm the admin and logged in as admin.

IF you are a paid partner and set up an account you get everything out the box and you should see menu under the site manager like any other. If you are using a creative cloud site these are ONLY webbasic so you wont see anything other then the real basics.
Like Sanjit has said, if you do not feel this should be the case on that site, contact support.

  • CS5 site setup not working

I recently installed the CS5 version of Dreamweaver. When the program starts, I click on "dreamweaver site..." and the site setup dialog box pops up. "Unnamed site 2" is high lighted in blue. The only thing I can click is the folder Icon, help, save, and cancel icons. Nothing else works. I cannot click on Advanced Settings, Servers or Version Control. Does anybody know whats going on and how to fix this?

I am also having the same problem. If I persist on clicking 'Advanced Settings' it will sometimes open but then I am unable to click on the 'Default Images folder' option and the 'Browse Folders' icon does not work. I can also not get to the other options with the mouse, such as 'Local Info', Cloaking' etc.As the previous person said, using the Tab and Cursor keys does work, but the mouse does not.It is only in Dreamweaver CS5 that I am having this problem.
I too have a new Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet, just in case that could have anything to do with it.
Running Windows 7 64bit with CS5 and all updates completed for everything including the Logitech mouse.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

  • BIOS setup menu is missing in my G580 after installing fedora....

    Dear sir,
    I bought a Lenovo G580 [59337032] laptop about a month ago.
It had no OS installed. I installed Fedora 17 in it.
But after installing Fedora, I can't be able to access the BIOS setup menu by pressing F2.
And also my boot order rearranged.
While pressing F12 during boot, the boot devices list appears.
But the first entry is Fedora, 2nd is Ethernet, 3rd is HDD, 4th is DVD drive.
I found a similar problem in this forum. But the solution [disconnect the HDD and press F2 during boot]
of that problem did not work in my case.
I also deleted the recovery partion of lenovo.
    My BIOS version is 62CN34WW
How can I fix my BIOS?
    Now my OS is Windows7.

    Dear Sirs!
Have the absolutely same problem with one difference - installed OS was Ubuntu 9.04.
According to recomendation HDD mode was setted as "сompatible" (IDE). After rearranging
disk to 3 parts: /, /swap and /user/home and setting up system I have find that BIOS setup
are unaccessible and system won't boot up (Non system disk error).
From LiveCD and USB, both Ubuntu and Windows XP SP3 system boots and work fine,
    HDD read/write accesible.
Local serviceman told, that they have no possibility to reprogram BIOS flash by themselves
and it will take 2-3 month to obtain new motherboard or whole laptop for exchange. This is
absolutely unacceptable for me, because my job depends on the health of the laptop.
Laptop Lenovo G580, BIOS version 62CN34WW
    Thanks in advance for cooperation!

  • WRT54G Failure to access setup menu

Having an issue accessing my setup menu for my WRT54G wireless router. IP 192.168.1.1 times out and ipconfig/all from the command prompt reveals a different IP. I've tried logging in through the listed default gateway but that times out as well. I reset my WRT54G but I continue to time out. I have had this router connected to my DSL modem for some time with no trouble.
I wanted to check my setup menu because one of my laptops stopped connecting. I never got to troubleshoot that problem due to setup access problem. Only change to system is that the PC was moved today so power was disconnected to all devices. I'm still able to connect to internet via PC. I've power cycled all the devices multiple times with no fix.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ridcully has a good suggestion here, worked for me

  • Need Help Entering the Correct Data on Site Setup Window

    [DW CS5 on a Mac OS 10.7.5]
I get an "FTP Error Message" after entering data on the Site Setup window after pressing Test.
I want to upload to my host/server's cPanel one of a number of subdirectories that I have on my root directory. My first attempt at uploading the first subdirectory failed. Can someone help me determine which of my Site Setup entries is incorrect and what the correct entry ought to be?
Perhaps I'm entering incorrect data in the "Root Directory" or Web URL" fields. My host server has given me the correct data, which I've carefully entered. Unfortunately, my testing on the Site Setup window continues to get this message: "An FTP error occurred â&#128;&#148; cannot open server folder /public_html/alaska/. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem." Support staff at my host/server cannot determine why the uplaod attempts fail.
I'll appreciate your guidance. Thanks, very much.

Brett, thanks for your prompt e-reply.
Unfortunately, removing the entry from DW's Root Directory field enabled a successful test, however, it caused all uploaded files to wind up in my very large root directory.     ( :-(      I had to do a lot of file management and deletions to clean up the root directory.
My numerous approaches, after receiving your suggestion, appear to have found a successful workaround. Here's what worked:
-- While in cPanel's File Management window, I selected the "/public_html" folder in the left column and clicked "New Folder" from the top toolbar. Once the new subdirectory folder was created, I went directly to the DW app where I then clicked the icon (atop and to the far right of the Files panel) subtitled "Expand to show local and remote sites".
-- With DW's expanded window open, I selected the new folder name in the left half of the window. I then dragged and dropped all the files that were in the right-column's subdirectory's folder to the new folder in the left column.
-- After completing the drag and drop effort, I checked cPanel's File Management window and verified that all files went to the appropriate subdirectory folder.
-- Finally, I opened the site's pages online to see that all worked as intended.
Over all, I wish DW were more reliable, such that when testing setups for *subdirectories* that have "/public_html" in the "Root Directory" field, they will *all* test successfully.
Sadly, Adobe no longer supports CS5.    (  :-(
Nevertheless, thanks for your assistance, Brett.

  • Can't get a Google Site navigation menu to display on Safari

I can't get my Google Site navigation menu to display on Safari (iPad or iPhone)? Navigation menu is off the page...tapping the screen opens the sidebar but then it instantly closes automatically.
I looked in Google Sites Admin for a mobile device compatibility setting, but didn't find one. Also looked in my Safari settings on my own iPhone/iPad devices and nothing I do allows the Google Site navigation to work. This makes my Google Site unusable by iPad and iPhone users.
    Help...?

Are you using Safari? Have you tried an alternative browser - Chrome, Firefox?
Edit: What's the website - maybe it's down.
