Skeleton tracking issue with kinect studio v2

Hello,
We have an issue related to skeleton tracking using kinect studio v2. The skeleton is not showing when we playback a stream in a connected mode. Note that when we recorded the stream the Nui Body Frame, Nui Body Index, Nui Depth, Nui IR are selected.
Is there a way to show the skeleton in a connected mode during playback with kinect studio?

Connected mode will regenerate body data based on those data streams. Recording body data in the capture is only used when using VGB. You need to ensure that you have captured the "lock-on" state for body tracking. Best practice is to cover the
sensor and start your recording. When you see the body lock-on, then you have captured the lock on state and then perform the action you need then stop recording.

    It seems that the link for this kb is not available. So the real issue is that which kind of issue you get, and then check whether this issue has been resolved by the latest VS version. Like the above report, maybe the new VS version would be better for
    certain limitations for old versions.

  • Network Issues with Visual Studio Online Application Insgihts

    My team is using Visual Studio Application Insights to monitor availability of our web server (we use cloud service)by making a call to it every 5 minutes from different locations around the world including Singapore, Japan, France and Switzerland.
    We experienced continuous failures of this monitoring from Singapore from September, 19-th and the issue became very big on September 21-st, September, 22-nd. After that on September, 23-rd and 24-th we have failures form Paris. Then starting from September,
    24-th to September, 26 we have very high percent of failures from Japan. Our problems finished with one more failure coming from Switzerland on September, 26.
    I wanted to find what the source of the problem is since we checked our code and it very simple to cause network issues. However, it is very difficult to reproduce the issue. My questions is - were all these problems coming from Visual Studio Online Application
    Insights?
    One example error that it is tracked in Visual Studio Online Application Insights is:

    Hello Kanio,
    There is nothing AI-specific in the stack, and, since the exception was reported to the portal, I would say that AI was working that time. However, if the issues goes away as soon as you disable AI - then it might mean that the issue is induced by AI presence.
    Also, you can try the latest AI SDK (0.13 as of today) and see if the issue still happens.

  • Adobe Reader 7.0 issue with Visual Studio 2003

    I'm working on a windows form using Visual Studio 2003(Dot Net Framework 1.1) and has got a PDF Viewer in that application to show the reports in PDF Viewer (Adobe Reader 7.0). After adding the reference of COM component (Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Browser Document), I'm unable to build my visual studio solution because of an error "Unable to emit assembly: Referenced assembly 'Interop.AcroPDFLib' does not have a strong name". The same visual studio solution works fine with Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0. Pleae help me to overcome this issue...

    i successfully use j2sdk 1.4_13, but i am aware of issues when you use jdk 1.5 for other SAP [Portal] related products, try jdk 1.4_12 or 1.4_13 and see if there is any difference
    also is there any requirment for VS 2003 & 2005 on the same machine ?
    i am curious to understand the problems you are facing with this config

  • NCO 2.0 issue with Visual Studio 2003

    Hi,
        I was attempting to use the SAP Connector for .Net version 2.0 on a machine that has both Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 installed. However, I cannot seem to get the wizard to work correctly in either one. On VS2005, the SaP Connector doesn't even show up in the project types. On VS2003, it does, but the wizard screen doesn't come up. Instead, I am forced to use the Server Explorer toolbar to search for RFC and BAPI functions. I used the guide published by Anne Tarnoruder, Reiner Hille-Doering regarding this subject (Using SAP Connector for MS .Net (NCO) in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005), however, whenever I add an SAP Connector Proxy item to a project, it generates a half-done SAPProxy1.cs and the requisite .wsdl designer file. After selecting one or more RFCs via the SAP server explorer toolbox and dropping it to the proxy designer, it doesn't appear to update the half-done SAPProxy1.cs. Is this the way it is supposed to work? I am using XP with SP2 and Java 1.5 update 11.

  • Two compile issues with Sun Studio 12 @ x86(_64 = amd64)

    The following two issues are absent on Solaris 10 SPARC and all previous Sun Studio versions (8 to 11), but present on both amd64 Solaris 10 and Linux 2.6 versions:
    1. mozilla.org's Spidermonkey "JavaScript" (ECMAscript) can't be compiled with it: in file jsinterp.c an endless loop is entered by the optimizer in level -xO1 and higher (!). With no optimization, linking is impossible (unresolved symbols from jsinterp.o), which hints to defunct output.
    2. the optimizer (ube) is crashing in sources with a switch with many many case labels in optimization level -xO3 and higher with a segfault.

    I have trouble to seperate a reasonable (example) source out of our complex sources showing the second issue --- what I can already tell is, that the following special pragma has to do with it (while I'm now in doubt that the each 256 case labels per switch, two switches in an if else clause have to do with it):

  • Issues With DVD Studio Pro 1.5 - MPEG2 Encoding & Building Discs

    Hi.
    I'm having problems encoding MPEG2 files in final cut express - everytime I try to encode, final cut closes.
    Also, when I go to build and format a disc in dvd studio pro, this also closes.
    I have looked at updating dvd studio pro to 1.5.2 and although I have downloaded the .bin file for the update, I don't know how to get it to run. The download is from the following link ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120138 )

    Of all the early versions of DVDSP, 1.5.2 was the most stable and you really ought to be using that if you are not going to upgrade further.
    V1 was notoriously flaky. I used to chant 'Apple+S' every day when I used it, just to remind me to save... I lost count of the number of hours lost when the app hung or crashed. That version of DVDSP was built on an entirely different code base to the current version. There are still folk who prefer to use V1 despite its faults, but I am not one of them... although I do still run a version of it somewhere.
    The upgrade will be straightforward enough. Double click the file you have downloaded and you should get a disc image. Open it and double click on the files inside. Keep your serial number handy, although I don't recall it being needed for a minor upgrade.
    You may find that encoding is your biggest hurdle. Back in the day of v1.5 there were very few cheap options open to you. One was to use the Quicktime MPEG encoder, which was a system file you had to install into the QT folder in the system library. Since the system library can't be altered whilst the system is running (i.e. your mac is on) this was a bit of an issue - you either used the terminal app, or booted into target disc mode and used a second mac to put the file into the right location. Sheesh. Alternatively, you used an altogether better encoder - BitVice. These days you have many different options for encoding - try simply exporting from FCE as .mov and encoding in something else entirely. You need to end up with elementary streams -ideally a .M2V and .aiff (for audio). You should also have A.Pack installed on your hard drive. Use this to encode the audio to AC3 (Dolby Digital).
    Then bring those assets in to DVDSP and author quickly. Use Apple+S frequently - like every time you make a change. Don't use the preview if you can avoid it, as it tended to crash out more often than not. Build the disc as a disc image and test it in DVDPlayer app.
    Of course, for a relatively low cost you can now use DVDSP v3 or 4 (available on eBay most days, I think!) This uses a far more stable code base, a more graphical approach to authoring and has more bells and whistles (not that you'll need them all the time, if ever). It is based on DVD Maestro (PC App) and is very similar to use. Advantages are many and varied compared to V1 but there is a consequential hit on speed IMO. That said, if your mac is anything close to modern (I author mostly on an old G4 still) then you will be fine.

  • FR Studio - Is there a workaround for the issue with referencing data from a grid with a different DB connection and different # of dimensions?

    I am trying to reference a column in a different grid with a different database connection. I did some research in the forums, and it seems like this is a known issue with FR Studio. The issue is that if the 2 different database connections have different # of dimensions, then the reference will throw an error.
    For example, what I'm trying to do is below:
    In grid2.column[A], I have the following formula:
    grid1.column[A]
    The result is an error.
    The ultimate goal is to have a basic variance formula in the grid between grid1 and grid2, which have different database connections with a different # of dimensions. Is there a workaround at all to this bug? The example of the basic formula is below:
    grid1.column[A] - grid2.column[A] 
    Any help is much appreciated!

    The issue with trying it in Grid1 vs Grid2 is that Grid1's DB connection has more dimensions than Grid2's DB connection. I can't change the DB connection to a database with more dimensions because you have to be able to map all dimensions from the existing DB connection  (Grid1) to the new DB connection (Grid2). This isn't possible, so instead I have to map Grid2 (less dimensions) to Grid1 (more dimensions). It just ignores the extra dimensions from Grid1. Does that make sense?

  • Kinect Studio v2.0: 10sec recorded 1GB?

    Hello I have the Kinect XBOX with the Microsoft Adapter. I just recorded for ten sec with Kinect Studio v2.0 and got an .xef file, which was 1,58GB. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?

    I haven't used it in a while but I'm fairly sure you can specify which streams to save. On the left hand side you should be able to click the eyes or something like that. Sorry I cant be more specific, I don't have a Kinect to hand to test it out.  

  • Kinect studio recording formats

    Hi!
    I am trying to save streams data (color/depth/IR/Body joints) from the sensor to disk.
    I was wondering if I can use the Kinect studio tool for that.
    I noticed the Kinect studio can save streams as .xef files and .xrf files (for raw data).
    Is there a way to extract the streams data from these files and maybe convert the frame images to jpegs files?
    Is the KSConvert.exe tool capabale of doing that?
    Alternatively is there any code for recording several streams at once?
    **From my understanding, the Kinect studio tool purpose is mainly for recording sample streams for training classifiers using the Visual Gesture Builder.

    Yes you can extract the streams of data, however you have to code/implement how to do this your self.
    KSConvert allows you to convert Raw files (XRF) to event files XEF. Only XEF files can be used for playback to kinect enabled applications.
    Kinect Studio does allow you to record different streams and play them back to Kinect enabled applications for the purpose of testing, Proofs, and of course Visual Gesture Builder.
    You can access KinectStudio API's from your own custom code to record streams and extract them however you please but again it's your custom code. One idea is to record the xef file with Kinect Studio (or api's) and then playback the file and get the color
    frames through the normal Kinect SDK api's.

  • Download a Project file for Visual Studio regarding the Kinect for Windows v2? Getting Started with Kinect Development in Visual Studio

    I am currently trying to make an application for Kinect for Windows v2 but I am entirely new to Visual Studio and Kinect development and could use some help getting started. I honestly have no idea where or how to start and I figured the easiest thing would
    be to obtain a simple project file and examine how it works myself, but I have been unable to find one. The easiest thing would be if I could obtain a project file for Visual Studio that is an application which overlays the Skeletal model over people in real
    time, though similar project files would also be appreciated. The app I am making largely involves things similar to overlaying the skeletal model on bodies so this would get me off to a great start and show me how the code is laid out within visual studio
    simultaneously. (I would prefer the code to be in C# if that is possible but other languages also work).
    I have checked out some of the guides for kinect development but they all assume you know how visual studio works so I cannot get very far in them. Thus if you know of a good guide to get me started with visual stuido AND the Kinect then I would be glad
    to here that as well.
    Alternatively, and I know this is not the right place for this, I have Matlab, which I know works for the Kinect v1 but can't find support for it regarding the v2, so if you could point me in the right direction on how to get it to work with the Kinect v2
    THAT would also work incredibly well as I am much more familiar with Matlab.
    I already have Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 installed, as well as the Kinect SDKv2.0, the physical Kinect for Windows v2, and my laptop meets all of the requirements for development so those are not issues.

  • Issue in workbench integration with Dev studio on unix machine

    Hi,
    I am trying to integrate my workbench on unix machine with dev studio on windows machine. To do so, I did the following:
    1. created a new application in dev studio
    2. In dev studio - Tools - Workbench settings I gave the host and port of my unix workbench. It was able to connect properly.
    3. Then through Tools - Workbench - Set Instance Configuration, I sent these configurations of my application on dev studio to that of workbench(which I had selected earlier in step #2)
    4. Then in my unix machine, I replaced the wine data with my new data feed
    5. Ran initialize services, load baseline update and baseline update scripts.
    5. My baseline update script Failed at Forge with the following error:

    Using a text editor, search for "wine.data.txt.gz" in your ./Test/config/pipeline/pipeline.epx. If you find it, note the record adapter's name trying to read it and then remove it in DEV Studio and reupload your pipeline project. If you don't find it, check the same file in the ./Test/data/processing/pipeline.epx directory. If you find it there, you may have an issue with your baseline update script as defined in your ./Test/config/script/AppConfig.xml file. Make sure that your Forge.getConfig(); command is successfully copying contents from the ./Test/config/pipeline directory to the ./Test/data/processing directory (you may want to clear out the processing directory before your next run to make sure of it).

    Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?
    I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be.

  • I have a sync issue with any songs name track 1 or 2 so on ..even though my itune shows I have the play list right but after i sync the same 20 tracks play very different tracks, it doesn't happen when I sync other songs that actually have names

    I have a sync issue with my ipod, anytime I synch a playlist that has generic song names instead of actual names like track 1 or track 2 so on even though my itune library shows and plays the song, but after a sync my ipod will play a different song. Never happnes if the playlist has actual song names, than everything is fine..!!!!Any help?

    If I understand you correctly, when iPod play the Track 1, a different song is played, what is the name of this different song?
