Skin.properties script index

My attempts to utilize the index attribute for scripts, within the skin.properties file have failed. My understanding is that I can index some, but am not required to index them all. Whenever I turn the index numbers on though, I get the error "An error has occured", with no further information. However, if I turn the index numbers off, the scripts are all pulled in, but not in the order I need them to be. I would really appreciate some guidance as to where it is I'm going wrong, as I'm sure it's probably something quite basic and obvious that I'm just missing.

Hi Satish,
Try checking the value of the property
link.search.path
in skin.properties and combine it with the value you've given to
link.body.href
for your css, and make sure the combined path matches the location of your css
on the file system.

• Question for skin.properties

Hi
In skin.properties there are definitions for css. what's the significance of the second part, like "body" in link.body.href: css/body.css
Can I add my another css like:
link.body.href: css/myBody.css
link.body.rel: stylesheet
link.body.index: 2
I want to be able to use 2 style sheets at the same time for site redesign, one is for old pages and one is for new pages.
Thanks

• Find the relevant crawled properties when index file share

Hi,
I found some great reference regarding the sharepoint crawled properties
http://blogs.technet.com/b/anneste/archive/2008/11/20/mystery-solved-crawled-properties-in-sharepoint-part-1.aspx
However, i'm looking for that MSDN reference of system properties
http://msdn.microsoft.com/he-il/library/ff518152.aspx
now how i can get the system properties as a crawled properties in sharepoint? (in order to use later for refinement)?
i'm trying to search the GUID of the system property in the sharepoint crawled properties but it doesn't always shown there.
Actually i want to get the "tags" and "copyright" and "comments" properties which are available to edit in windows file share that i am indexing.
keren tsur

I assume it is there in properties it self.

If I was satisfied with your previous answer, I wouldn't have posted at all. It seems to me a lot of T61p owners at TPForums and NotebookReviewForums are having this problem. So far I haven't been too far impressed with Lenovo, going by a 25 page thread at NBR here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=181232

the line above the forum.nbr URL looks definitely ugly.
Can this 'blocking/stretching' be switched off?

Yeah, that happens when somebody pastes in a URL instead of using the link button. It has been brought up before and I think it is Lithium formatting problem. Not much Lenovo can do about it except report it to Lithium. Which has been done as far as I know.

• Newbie question on FindChangeByList script (REVISED)

Hi...I'm using FindChangeByList (the Javascript version) and I have a question. The default behavior of this script seems to be the following:
1. If text is selected, then run the script on the text
2. Otherwise, run the script on the entire document.
By looking at the script (which I'm pasting below), I can see that the script is intentionally set up this way. I'm totally new to scritping, but by reading the remarks I think these are the relevent lines:
//Something was selected, but it wasn't a text object, so search the document.
myFindChangeByList(app.documents.item(0));
and
//Nothing was selected, so simply search the document.
myFindChangeByList(app.documents.item(0));
MY GOAL: I want to prevent the script running on my entire document by mistake if I mistakenly don't have the Text tool active.
I have a feeling that would be very easy to write, but since I know nothing about scripting, I appeal to this forum. Thanks.
If you need it, the entire script is pasted below. (It's also a standard sample script built into CS4).

You can't check which instrument is active in InDesign by script (although you can select it, but it's not useful in your case).
I suggest you the following approach: check if a single object is selected and if it's a text frame — if so, make a search without showing the dialog.
Notice that use
myFindChangeByList(app.selection[0].parentStory.texts[0]);
instead of
myFindChangeByList(app.selection[0]);
this allows me to process threaded and overset text.
function main(){
var myObject;
//Make certain that user interaction (display of dialogs, etc.) is turned on.
app.scriptPreferences.userInteractionLevel = UserInteractionLevels.interactWithAll;
if(app.documents.length > 0){
if(app.selection.length == 1 && app.selection[0].constructor.name == "TextFrame"){
myFindChangeByList(app.selection[0].parentStory.texts[0]);
else if(app.selection.length > 0){
switch(app.selection[0].constructor.name){

• Aggregation script is taking long time - need help on optimization

Hi All,
Currently we are working to build a BSO solution (version 11.1.2.2) for a customer where we are facing performance issue in aggregating the database. The most common activity of the solution will be to generate data on different scenario from Actual and Budget (Actual Vs Budget difference data in one scenario) and to be used for reporting purpose mainly.
We are aggregating the data to top level using AGG command for Sparse dimensions. While doing this activity, we found that it is creating a lot of page files and thereby filling up the present physical memory of the drive (to the tune of 70GB). Moreover it is taking a long time to aggregate. The no. of stored members that is present are as follows:
Dimension - Type - Stored member (Total members)
Account - Dense- 1597 (1845)
Period - Dense - 13 (19)
Year - Sparse - 11 (12)
Version - Sparse - 2 (2)
CV - Sparse- 5 (6)
Scenario - Sparse - 94 (102)
EV - Sparse - 120 (122)
FC - Sparse- 118 (121)
CP - Sparse - 1887 (2049)
M1 - Sparse - 4873 (4874)
Entity - Sparse - 12020 (32349) - Includes two alternate hierarchies for rolling up the data
The other properties are as follows:
Index Cache - 152000
Data File Cache - 32768
Data cache - 153600
ACR = 0.65
We are using Buffered I/O
The level 0 datafile is about 3 GB.( 2 year budget and 1 year 2 months Actuals data)
Customer is going to use SmartView to retrieve the data and having Planning Plus License only. So could not go for an ASO solution. We could not reduce the members of huge Sparse dimensions M1 and CP as well. To improve the data retrieval time, we had to make upper level members as stored which resolved data retrieval issue
I am seeking for help on the following:
1. How can we optimize the time taken? Currently each dimension is taking about an hour to aggregate. Calc Dim is taking even longer time. Hence opted for AGG
2. Will change of dense and sparse setting help our cause? ACR is ona lower side. Please note that most calculations are either on Period dimensions or FC. There is no such calculation on Account dimension
3. Will change of a few non-level 0 members from store to dynamic-calc help? Will this slow down calculations in the cube?
4. What should be the best performance order for this cube?
Appreciate your help in these regard,
Regards,
Sukhamoy

Please provide following  information
1) Block size and other statistic
2)  Aggreagation script
>>Index Cache - 152000
>>Data File Cache - 32768
>>Data cache - 153600
Try this settings
Index Cache - 1120000
Data cache - 3153600

• Text find and change problem in CS3 and CS4 script

I use the script below to find some text and change into others.
There is one thing the script can't do it for me.
Example:
(g) Management
(1) that no law which is enacted in the Cayman Islands imposing any tax to be levied on profits, income, gains or appreciation shall apply to the Company or its operations; and
(2) that the aforesaid tax or any tax in the nature of estate duty or inheritance tax shall not be payable on or in respect of the shares, debentures or other obligations of the Company.
Example:(END)
I got a lot of topics or points in the passage. And I want to change the space between '(g)' and 'Management' into a tab character. So I revised the plain text file 1text.
PS: 1text.txt is filled with what to change.
text {findWhat:"^p(^?) "} {changeTo:"^p(^?)^t"} {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false} Find all space-dash-space and replace with an en dash.
The result is:
(^?)^tManagement
(^?)^tthat no law which is enacted in the Cayman Islands imposing any tax to be levied on profits, income, gains or appreciation shall apply to the Company or its operations; and
(^?)^tthat the aforesaid tax or any tax in the nature of estate duty or inheritance tax shall not be payable on or in respect of the shares, debentures or other obligations of the Company.
PS: ^t is a tab character.
result (END)
This is not what I want.
It should be '(g)^tManagement'.
PS: ^t is a tab character.
Please someboady help me out to revised the script below to change the text into what I want. Thanks so much.

//findType<tab>findProperties<tab>changeProperties<tab>findChangeOptions<tab>description
//Where:
//<tab> is a tab character
//findType is "text", "grep", or "glyph" (this sets the type of find/change operation to use).
//findProperties is a properties record (as text) of the find preferences.
//changeProperties is a properties record (as text) of the change preferences.
//findChangeOptions is a properties record (as text) of the find/change options.
//description is a description of the find/change operation
//Very simple example:
//text {findWhat:"--"} {changeTo:"^_"} {includeFootnotes:true, includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, wholeWord:false} Find all double dashes and replace with an em dash.
//More complex example:
//text {findWhat:"^9^9.^9^9"} {appliedCharacterStyle:"price"} {include footnotes:true, include master pages:true, include hidden layers:true, whole word:false} Find $10.00 to $99.99 and apply the character style "price".
//All InDesign search metacharacters are allowed in the "findWhat" and "changeTo" properties for findTextPreferences and changeTextPreferences.
//If you enter backslashes in the findWhat property of the findGrepPreferences object, they must be "escaped"
//as shown in the example below:
//{findWhat:"\\s+"}

• Inconsistencies between an MXML tag instance's properties and an Actionscript instance's properties

Hi everyone! I've been using the SDK for several months, but I've only been using Flash Builder for a few weeks. I finished the Flex In a Week videos and exercises a few days ago, and since then I've been playing around with the accompanying exercises.
My question specifically refers to the PanelSkin.mxml file from 'Exercise 5.6: Creating custom skin properties'. In this example, the function initTitleSkin() sets the 'headerSkinColor.color' property to a value passed from the main application:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:SparkSkin xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
creationComplete="initTitleSkin()">
<s:states>
<s:State name="normal" />
<s:State name="disabled" />
</s:states>
<fx:Metadata>
[HostComponent("components.EmployeePortalPanel")]
</fx:Metadata>
<fx:Script>
<![CDATA[
private function initTitleSkin():void
headerSkinColor.color = hostComponent.panelTitleColor;
]]>
</fx:Script>
<s:Rect radiusX="4" radiusY="4" height="100%" width="100%" >
<s:fill>
<mx:SolidColor id="panelSkin" color="#E8E8E8"/>
</s:fill>
</s:Rect>
<s:Path winding="nonZero" data="M 0.016 0.012 L 0.016 23.354 L 287.419 23.354 L 287.408 12.012 C 287.408 5.385 282.035 0.012 275.408 0.012 L 0.016 0.012 Z">
<s:fill>
<s:SolidColor id="headerSkinColor"/>
</s:fill>
</s:Path>
<s:Label id="titleDisplay" lineBreak="explicit" left="10" right="4" top="2" height="30" verticalAlign="middle" fontWeight="bold"/>
<s:Group id="contentGroup" top="23">
</s:Group>
</s:SparkSkin>
This code works just fine. I tried extending this example by setting the 'titleDisplay.color' property in the same way. The 'titleDisplay' is an instance of the Label class.
private function initTitleSkin():void
headerSkinColor.color = hostComponent.panelTitleColor;
titleDisplay.color = hostComponent.panelLabelColor;
The above code results in the error 'Access of possibly undefined property color through a reference with static type spark.components:Label'.
I set up the custom 'panelLabelColor' property and confirmed the 'hostComponent.panelLabelColor' property is being passed to the custom skin class correctly. My question is, Why can I set the 'color' property in the MXML Label block, but not from the ActionScript instance. The Language Reference shows the spark Label has a 'color' property. Code Assist shows the 'color' property in the MXML block, but not in the ActionScript instance. Am I missing something simple that's staring me right in the face? I'm usually pretty good at that. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this inconsistency.

it's not likely.

• How To Customize Playback Skins?

Hello,
Dreamweaver comes with some predefined .swf skins for playing
FLV videos on the web. I would like to change some simple
properties of these skins (e.g., background color) instead of
spending the time to create a new skin from scratch. I noticed that
some properties are passed from HTML to the .swf file via the
"FlashVars" param, but the available properties are undocumented.
Does anyone know how to change these skins' properties if it
can be done?
Alternatively, does anyone know how to create a skin from
just the VIDEO COMPONENT inside Flash Pro CS4? I've seen tutorials
on how to create a skin by making all the buttons and action script
necessary, but it would sure be easy to drag the video component to
the stage and create a .swf skin file from that alone.
thanks!

• Transactional Replication: Non-Clustered Indexes not copying.

Hello,
I set up replication on our servers at work to streamline some procedures we run daily/weekly on them.
This copies around 15 articles from two databases on the "Master" server to another server used for execution purposes. For the most part it was a pretty straight forward task and it seemed to work nicely; but I realised after some investigation that the
non-clustered indexes weren't copying over to the child server.
I set the non-clustered indexes property in the properties of the publishing articles to "True" and generated a new snapshot, this seemed to work, but I've come into work this morning to find the property has reset to "False" and I have no indexes on the
table again. Why is this happening and is there any way I can resolve the matter so the indexes are copied over concurrently?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
JB

I actually solved this.
You can use a post-replication SQL script to create the indexes. Whatever articles you're publishing open up the indexes drop down list of the article in object explorer, right-click on an index and hover over Script Index as, then Create-to, then click
New Query Window editor.
Up will pop up a new query window with the resulting index. Work your way through all the indexes on all the articles of the publication, copy and pasting just the create index line and below of each script, pull them all together into one query window.
Once you're done find a safe folder somewhere on your harddrive and save the SQL query as an .sql file with a sensible name.
Right click on the publication and goto properties. Click on the "Snapshot" tab, in there; there should be a section saying "Run additional scripts". Choose the browse button next to "After applying the Snapshot; execute this script:"
Navigate to your script file and choose it. Once done click ok and it'll prompt you that something has changed and if you'd like to generate a new snapshot, make sure you do or it won't work.
That's it, you'll find once the publication has bulk copied over the the subscriptions successfully there are non clustered indexes on the tables. Pretty simple!

• Scripts of objects in a schema.

Hi
I am working on a problem which is:
To generate the scripts of objects in a schema, with separate object types in different folders, with separate files for each object.
For instance if I have a schema called HR then the scripts for all the tables in this schema should be in a predefined folder called TABLES and within this folder the individual scripts for tables tab1.sql , tab2.sql.. and so on. I need to do this for all objects in the given schema. This I need to do from sql*plus and not from any GUI.
For this I am able to figure out some basic steps required. Below is the sample for same
DECLARE
V_SCRIPT VARCHAR2(4000);
CURSOR C1 IS
SELECT OBJECT_TYPE,OBJECT_NAME,OWNER
FROM ALL_OBJECTS WHERE OWNER ='HR' ;
BEGIN
FOR I IN C1 LOOP
with scripts as (select dbms_metadata.get_ddl(I.OBJECT_TYPE,I.OBJECT_NAME,I.OWNER) txt from dual)
select replace(txt,'"') ||'/' script_text INTO V_SCRIPT from scripts;
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(V_SCRIPT);
END LOOP;
END;
{code}
Here in the script I can identify few problems like:
1. The DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE will work till the buffer level and after that will give an error message. Is there any way to eliminate this?
2. How can I spool the files in the middle of pl/sql code.
These scripts are to be created on a windows system in some location like *c:\scripts\tables\..*,*c:\scripts\indexes\..* and so on.
The database version should be:
{code}
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - Prod
PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
"CORE     10.2.0.3.0     Production"
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.3.0 - Production
{code}
Also I came to know of utl_file package, can I use this for the same.
please provide your expert guidance for the problem.
Thanks

Two thoughts:
First: The Oracle database does not have folders. What product are you working in?
Second: Cursor loops such as the one you've written have been obsolete in Oracle for more than 12 years: Why are you writing one now?

• Data Modeler - can't create a spatial indexes

Good day, colleagues!
I have a 584 release of Dala Modeler.
Here is the cite from Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler Guide:
"3.82 Spatial Definition Properties
Coordinate System ID: Oracle Spatial SRID value. ...
+Create Spatial Index: Controls whether a spatial index is created.+
Spatial Index Name: Name for the spatial index.
I have a SDO_GEOMETRY column in my table and want to create spatial index.
The problem is that there is no "Create Spatial Index" option in my Spatial Definition Properties window. There is only "Spatial Index Name" option. When I'm trying to create spatial index manually, I can't, because "Spatial" option for creating index is inactive. I've checked "Register as Spatial Table" table option, but it also didn't help.
So, I have no way to create a spatial index. How can I do it?

Hello usamytch,
creation of spatial index is confusing. We'll improve it in next releases. Here are the steps:
1) create index - no need to add columns
2) create spatial column definition ("Spatial properties" in table dialog)
3) In spatial column definition you can select your spatial column, coordinate system ID, dimensions and you can select one of existing indexes to be used as spatial one.
4) after that index appear as spatial and you can set spatial related properties in index dialog
5) you have to check "Register as Spatial Table" in order to get spatial meta-data generated in DDL
There are additional spatial properties you can set in physical model.

• Index Tab Be Gone! (How?)

I thought I had the sneaky way of doing this - by entering garbage on the window definition in Advanced Properties beside "Index:" This hid the Index tab and I thought all was well but I was wrong. It's fine until I do my on-the-fly topic swapping and then it goes crazy on me - see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/504223?tstart=0
Now, I figured out that that problem goes away IF I take out the garbage from the Advanced Properties, but of course my Index tab reappears. I don't want it. I have a custom button that is called Index that points to a topic which is our handmade Index. Having both would be extremely confusing for the users.
So, how do I hide the Index tab?
My secondary dilemma is that I want Auto-syncronize TOC enabled in both chm files. What I just noticed is that as soon as I swap topics, the Home and Index buttons point to the relative paths in the OTHER chm file and when pressed, the current chm can't find them. Is there a format of path I can use that is sort of relative but sort of fixed at the same time so it won't get confused? The chm files can be moved around to different directories but they will always be together as sibling files. I feel like I've opened a bottomless can of worms. (I know the perfect solution to this would have been one chm with conditional tags per language but we had to convert from existing .hpj projects and had no time to merge everything manually for that solution.)
Any suggestions?

Aha. I deleted the .hhk and then noticed that RH automatically created a brand new one. At least it's smart enough to realize that if the file is empty, don't show the Index. I recompiled and it disappeared - perfect, thank you (The default search still seems to work fine - we have Advanced Search turned off.)
Now, that leaves my other issue with the Custom Buttons and the Home button. I'm shooting in the dark at the moment looking for a url format that I can use to be relative yet include the destination chm name along with the topic.
Setup:
CHM English - Home points to HomeEnglish.htm, Custom Button 1 points to IndexEnglish.htm, TopicEnglish has hyperlink to TopicFrench.
CHM French - Home points to HomeFrench.htm, Custom Button 1 points to IndexFrench.htm, TopicFrench has hyperlink to TopicEnglish.
In CHM English, I navigate to TopicEnglish, click the hyperlink which opens TopicFrench within the CHM English content frame, then press either Home or Custom Button 1. It tries to go to HomeFrench.htm or TopicFrench.htm but in the CHM English. How do I tell it which chm to look at?
(I've tried with Auto-synchronize TOC on and off - no difference in behaviour.)
