   When I click on the command link in the <af:table> : it should redirect to a new page displaying its equivalent details .
   Issue facing currently :
When clicked on Command link setting immediate = true  --> not redirecting to the new page and also at the same time page is getting validated the panelform layout for required="true"
What is going wrong with the above code
Any help on this is appreciated.
Thanks

Do you have page navigation set in the task flow or you are trying something programmatically ?

  • My command link doesn't work

    hi all,
    i have a created a page where i am performing a web type search with search form and search results on the same page and i have also implemented the conditional display of search results table as directed by the ADFBC guide.
    i.e., I created a managed bean where in am setting the searchFirstTime flag. here is the code of my managed bean.
    public class UserState {
    private static final String SEARCH_FIRSTTIME_FLAG = "SEARCH_FIRSTTIME_FLAG";
    private HashMap hmUserSettings = new HashMap();
    public UserState() {
    try{
    System.out.println("setting the user settings in constructor");
    hmUserSettings.put(SEARCH_FIRSTTIME_FLAG,true);
    }catch(Exception e){
    e.printStackTrace();
    public boolean isSearchFirstTime(){
    Boolean firstTime = (Boolean)hmUserSettings.get(SEARCH_FIRSTTIME_FLAG);
    try{
    System.out.println("setting the search flag in isSearchFirstTime firstTime.booleanValue() :"+firstTime.booleanValue());
    if (firstTime == null){
    firstTime = true;
    }catch(Exception e){
    e.printStackTrace();
    return firstTime.booleanValue();
    public void setSearchFirstTime(boolean searchFlag){
    try{
    System.out.println("setting the search flag searchFlag :"+searchFlag);
    hmUserSettings.put(SEARCH_FIRSTTIME_FLAG, new Boolean(searchFlag));
    }catch(Exception e){
    e.printStackTrace();
    In the search results table one of the columns is a command link, clicking on which opens a pop up window where i have some more details being displayed.
    here is the code of my jspx page for the command link
    <af:commandLink text="#{row.OrderNumber}"
    binding="#{backing_TestDDPUD.commandLink1}"
    action="#{backing_TestDDPUD.commandLink1_action}"
    useWindow="true"
    partialSubmit="true"
    windowHeight="200"
    windowWidth="500"
    id="commandLink1"/>
    i have specified the action to be performed,in the backing bean of my page, here's the code
    public String commandLink1_action() {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding =
    bindings.getOperationBinding("setCurrentRowWithKey");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    System.out.println("inside commandLink1_action");
    if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ has errors $$$$$$$$$$$$4");
    return null;
    DCIteratorBinding ib = (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("OeOrderHeadersViewResultsIterator");
    Row row = ib.getCurrentRow();
    Number numHeaderId = (Number)row.getAttribute("HeaderId");
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    // 2. Create value binding for the #{data} EL expression
    ValueBinding vb = fc.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{data}");
    // 3. Evaluate the value binding, casting the result to BindingContext
    BindingContext bc = (BindingContext)vb.getValue(fc);
    // 4. Find the data control by name from the binding context
    DCDataControl dc = bc.findDataControl("TestDDAppModuleDataControl");
    // 5. Access the application module data provider
    ApplicationModule am = (ApplicationModule)dc.getDataProvider();
    ViewObject vo = am.findViewObject("OeOrderLinesAllView");
    vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam("theHeaderId",numHeaderId);
    System.out.println((vo.getNamedWhereClauseParam("theHeaderId")));
    return "dialog:orderDetails";
    my problem is that now when i enter a search criteria and execute the search, the search results are displayed properly in the table but when i click on the command link it does not open the pop up window, it does not even enter into the commandlink1_action() method..here's the log which i get after i click on the command link..can somebody please tell me what is going wrong or what exactly is happening

    hi Frank,
    i have my table inside a panel page which is already sorrounded with h:form so i cannot sorround my table again with h:form or af:form. the command link in the page was working fine, till i included the code for the conditional display of the results table. If i look at the log printed after i click on the command link, i don't see any of the sop's being printed that i have given inside the commandlink1_action() method, i have a feeling that my action method is not being called at all and i am not able to figure out why the sop in the isSearchFirstTime() method is being printed 4 times.

  • JSF Command Link inside DataTable has to be clicked twice in order to work

    I currently have a command link inside of a dataTable. However, when I go to the page and click the link nothing happens. It appears that the page is refreshed but looking at the logs nothing is done. However, if you click the same link again everything is updated properly. How do I get the command link to work properly? And, I have everything operating in the session scope.

    sdgorham wrote:
    No I do not have h:messages on the page. Just add it for debugging purposes. There might have been a validation or conversion error occurred which wasn't 'catched' by any h:message.
    Unfortunately, upgrading to another version isn't an option at the moment. OK, I checked the MyFaces page and 1.1.5 is indeed the latest JSF 1.1 implementation.
    Is there any other possible solutions that are more like a hyperlink than the command button. What exactly is causing the problem that I described?Have you tried if it works with a button or not? Only then we can be more sure about the cause of the problem.

  • Popup is closed when command link is pressed even after validation exceptio

    Hi Techies,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.4. I have a sample .jspx page which has a table, a command link and a popup. When the user clicks the command link, the popup gets shown.
    The popup contains af:panelWindow as a direct child. panel window as a panel group layout which contains input box and a command link. The input text has a validation. Now my problem is even though the validation fails If i click the command link in the popup, the popup gets disappeared. Thankfully it is not updated in the database (Infact, the action and actionlisteners themselves are not getting called since the validation fails. Hope this is the expected behaviour) But my question is: could somebody tell my how to prevent the popup from hiding when i click the command link in popup once after the validation fails?
    Regards,
    V. Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
    Can you try with partialSubmit for the command link?
    Also use required partialTriggers as you want to refresh. Do not refresh the popup in your bean code.

  • Skip validation when clicking cancel button in Applications panel

    Validation skipping can be done by making 'immediete' property to 'true'. But in fnd ApplicationsPanel, cancel button don't have an 'immediete' property. Only revert button has that property. So how can I skip validation when the cancel button is pressed?

    Hi Shaik,
    <li> You need to set Function type E to Application toolbar button.
    <li> Go to PF Status of the screen -> Click on application toolbar->Double click on button->It takes you to Function attributes Popup->There , u will see Function code after that Function type. Select or give type to E.
    <li> Write this piece of code in PAI.
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      MODULE status_2200.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      MODULE skip_mandatory AT EXIT-COMMAND.
    *&      Module  SKIP_MANDATORY  INPUT
    MODULE skip_mandatory INPUT.
      IF sy-ucomm = 'TEST'.
        LEAVE TO SCREEN 2000.
      ENDIF.
    ENDMODULE.                 " SKIP_MANDATORY  INPUT
    I hope that it solves your problem.

  • Popup is not getting launched click on command link in table column value

    Hi
    We have a scenario where we bring the pop-up clicking on command link in the table column value. It was working fine before but from last few labels this is not working.
    Here is the code snippet that we are using,
    <af:table>
    <af:column>
    <af:commandLink>
    <af:outputText value=”product name” />
    <af:showPopupBehavior TriggerType=”click” PopupId=”::p1”/>
    <af:commandLink>
    </af:column>
    </table>
    <af:popup id=”p1”>
    <af:dialog>
    </af:dialog>
    </af:popup>
    Thanks,
    Nagesh

    It is important to set partialSubmit="true" in the <af:commandLink> tag. A full submit will be made otherwise and the popup will not show. Use also tryggerType="action" instead of triggerType="click" and use the proper chararcter case of the tag attribute names. Try with this:
    <af:commandLink text="product name" partialSubmit="true">
      <af:showPopupBehavior popupId="::p1" triggerType="action"/>
    </af:commandLink>Dimitar

  • JS RangeError exception happens after click a command link in Chrome22

    Hi,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.4. I got an JS exception after click a command link. Following is my steps.
    1. use chrome(V22) to access my app
    2. refresh page
    3. click a command link(with action property) in UI which can jump to another page
    Result: nothing happens, and since then click any command link does not work(page does not refresh and no reqeust is sent). But command button still works.
    If we do not refresh page, this does not happens.
    This case occurs always in Chrome and occasionaly occurs in FF.
    Troubleshoot:
    after refresh page, an ajax request is sent in ADF js framework. Respense is recieved and callback funtion is executed. Excetpion happens during callback function executing period.
    Watch call stack, the exception happens during removeComponent(name is like this) funtion.
    And finally, an exception is caught. Here is detal of exception:
    Excetption: RangeError, type: stack_overflow, stack: undefined.
    Any one got this case?
    Please give some help and guidance.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    if you have a customer support contract, can you file a service request with support and provide a test case ? Also, worth trying this with JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 first

  • Command + right click won't open a link in a new tab.

    A while after I'd updated FireFox (not immediately after the update, it took a few days) pressing command and clicking a link wouldn't open the link in a new tab anymore. Other tab-related shortcuts do work, just not this one. It doesn't matter which site I'm on or whether the site uses flash etc.

    I have also just had this problem and un-installing the Ask toolbar has done the trick straight away :D Thank you!

  • How to Skip validation

    Hi ,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 .I am having an af:table in my page, and i have a command link which calls a method in a backing bean. While clicking on the command link i want to skip the validations that happens in the table rows, without using immediate="true"
    Is this possible?
    Expecting some guidance.

    Hi,
    If i use immediate property am getting one another problem. I have two operations to be done ,one is to create a new record and another one is to delete a record.
    I have two command links.*Add link* is using CreateInsert and Delete link is using Delete operations. I am explaining the problem bellow.
    1.I have two LOV fields in the row.First i insert a row and fill values in the two LOV fields *(for example 1st field-"AB" 2nd field-"1234")*.
    2.I delete this record using Delete command link.
    3.Then again i insert a new row using Add command link.
    4.In this new row in the first LOV field i give the same value that i gave last time -that is "AB". While giving this value it automatically brings up the value "1234" in the second field.
    This happens only if i set true to the immediate property of the Delete command link.I have not used any ppr also.If i dint set the immediate property then the insertion and deletion works fine,but it is doing validation when i click these links.So i want to skip the validation while clicking Delete link.

  • ADF command link problem

    Hi All,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11g. I have a master-detail relationship tables Order and OrderItem. I have an Order edit page which has editable Order information and a ADF read-only table which contains a list of items associated with the current order. I have a ADF command link on the column LineItemId in the table. When I click the link, it will take me to the item edit page. The problem is, whenever I select any item in the table, I always got the first item loaded in the item edit page. Does anyone has any ideas what I did wrong?
    Here is the portion of the code related to the command link,
    <af:column sortProperty="LineItemId" sortable="false"
    headerText="#{bindings.OrderItemsView2.hints.LineItemId.label}"
    id="c4">
    <af:commandLink actionListener="#{bindings.setCurrentRowWithKeyValue.execute}"
    text="#{row.LineItemId}"
    disabled="#{!bindings.setCurrentRowWithKeyValue.enabled}"
    id="cl1" partialTriggers="::t1"
    action="goOrderItemDetail"/>
    </af:column>
    Thanks in advance,
    John

    On a seeded page say Page1 one link is availabe which is specific to one Learning Path.
    When i click on that Learning Path's link it is redirecting me to a page say Page2 where it gives the list of different Learning Paths (including Learning Path of Page1) with a link for each Learning Path.
    If i click on that Learning Path's link it takes me to a page say Page3 where it gives the details of that perticular Learning Path.
    The requirement is , If I click on an Learning Path's link on Page1 ,it should redirect me directly to Page3 ( Skipping Page2 ).
    How can it be achieved?

  • Command link navigation problems in IE but not firefox

    Hi,
    I've developed an application using JSF and SDO. I have several pages where the user is displayed data from the database and pages where the user can add data , edit data and delete data.
    Each page has a jsp fragment contained in the page. This is based on faces and is the naviation menu. Each link in the menu is a command link and has navigation rules which are global. Now the problem I get is that when I sometimes nvaigate between pages using the navigation or command links in a page the page just refreshes and displays the same page again. But if I keep trying to click the link again then after a few attempts the link goes to the page i've requested. I've added system outs on the actions for the links to see if they are getting called when the page just refreshes. The answer is no as the system out line is never printed unless the action of the link is actually executed.
    Now the problem is that this only occurs in ie and NOT in firefox. I'm really confused now!!
    Here is some techinical details to help narrow down my situation:
    I'm using wsad 5.1.2 which has faces 1.0, ie 6, firefox 1.0.3.
    Any help would be appreciated!!

    doh! i've solved this problem now....well for now its working perfectly but i'll have to do a bit more testing.
    For anyone that has this problem here was my solution...
    - In IE i went to tools > general tab > settings
    from this menu choose check for newer versions of stored pages to automatically. I previously had every visit to the page.
    This seems to have fixed my problem and the reason why it worked in firefox was because the settings for caching were different.

    Hi,
    the real problem of the original poster seems to be <af:commandLink text="#{row.GlobalDealId}" id="cl1" action="createMDM" immediate="true" partialSubmit="true"> having immediate set to true in which case the request goes from restore view to render response. You usually use immediate=true on a command item to cancel an action (bypassing all the other JSF lifecycle steps).
    Peter551059,
    you don't give us much information about your case. So if the problem is IE9 and you verified IE9 is supported for the version of JDeveloper you use, then - in case you have a support contract - my best advise is to file a service request and have support looking at it just in case you hit a defect that should be filed as a bug
