SL5 client accessing an secured (HTTPS) Odata service
I have a SL5 client that is hosted on Windows Azure.
I have some OData WCF services that work perfectly fine. Calling the odata services from the SL5 client works fine both running locally and remotely on Azure. The problem is https. I've uploaded the bought certificate and I can call the odata wcf services
secure by using https from Fiddler2 and it gets the proper results.
When I run the SL5 client locally in my VS2012 environment it also works fine calling the https endpoint. After deployment to Windows Azure the client stops working and the calls to the https endpoints don't work anymore :-(
anybody has a clue?
hi RiccardoBecker,
Thanks for posting!
Base on my experience, when hosted WCF service on windows azure, we could use Service Bus (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/ee173579.aspx )to access
it on client side in intranet or internet. So if you used in intranet, I suggest you could create service bus to access it. Or if you use internet, I suggest you check your endpoint address setting. You need use your cloud address to access
wcf service on client side. You could download those code sample (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsazure/CSAzureWCFServices-20c7d9c5 &
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/188464/Host-WCF-Services-in-an-Azure-Worker-Role ) and try it.
Any question, please let me know.
Regards,
Will

Getting Error while accessing the data using odata service
Hi All,
Iam new to SAP FIORI.
Iam getting the below error while accessing the data using odata service.
"Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not found)"
"No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin "
i have tried all the solutions like changing the url pattern "proxy/htttp".
and disabled - security in chrome (Chrome is Updated version).
i tried with IE still got the same problem.
And installed all the required software in eclipse
While installing GWPA plugin i got the following error.
let me know if any one have idea.
Thanks in advance.> Do you want to add and/or update the data in the already existing tables or do you want to replace the content completely?
>
> so in that way :
> bot the options are fine what ever take less time.
Sorry mate, but YOU have to know what you want here.
I gave you an easy to follow set of steps.
As you don't seam to mind the outcome, just might just use them...
> I wanted to know weathe i can use the loadercli for thie export import or not? if yes then is there any new steps to do before i do the export import?
We had this discussion before...
>
> For that the easiest option would be just to drop the tables of SAPR3 and run the import again.
>
> For ease of use you could also just do:
> - logon as superdba
> - drop user SAPR3
> - create user SAPR3 password SOMEPW not exclusive dba
>
> After these steps you can easily pump the data into the database again.
>
> So here in th above given steps , i am creating a new SAPR3 user and why it is not exclusive dba ?
> i already have that user SAPR3 can i use the same.
Yes, you do have the SAPR3 user.
But you don't seem to like to read documentation or learn about how the tools work or anything like that.
Therefore I gave you s simple way to reach your goal.
Of course it's possible to reuse the user.
But then you would have to deal with already existing tables, already existing data etc.
You don't seem to be able to do that. So, the easy steps might be better suited for your needs.

Dear All,
how much secure about accessing business data with OData?
I Have seen that any one can access OData services by changing URL parameters from cache . In this case is there any option to secure business data other than authorization check for each service in back end ECC?
THanks,
kiran.Hi,
Have a look at the Shared Services Import/Export utility, it should be in :-
\Hyperion\common\utilities\CSSImportExportUtility

Access cloud for customer Odata Service from HCP
Hi
I have a UI(sapui5) which consumes ODATA Service from "cloud for customer" system.
I am using connectivity proxy servlet(using destinations) to avoid cross origin issue. when i deploy and access this UI from cloud, the response of the odata service is " HTTP status 500 javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated".
I tried giving the http url and that says "502 bad gateway".
How to resolve SSL issue for cloud.?
Is there any other configuration that needs to be done to consume ODATA from "Cloud for customer" system
Regards
PriyalHi Priyal:
For the SSL handshake at the destination level either you would have to set the property "TrustAll=TRUE" or you have to create a JKS keystore which contains the Server Certificate for the Cloud for customer system and then upload this either via the Admin cockpit (at destination level) or deploy the same via the NEO console tool.
Best regards

Safari can not access any secure (HTTPS) web pages
Does anyone have an idea why a good frined of mine using Safari 1.3.2 on a Power Book G4 with Mac OS 10.3.9 can not access any secure web pages (those that start with HTTPS)? I can not find any preferences that might control this. She can access the pages with IE but not Safari. What setting on her computer might control this? Any ideas would be appreciated. I even through away (com.apple.Safari.plist) file. Not change. An ideas??
I have the same problem! However, this is ONLY while running wireless internet. Anytime I want to use an HTTPS site, I have to plug directly into my router, so I'm not wireless anymore, and then it works fine. Every now and then (like maybe 5% of the time), I get lucky and it will work for a short while such as logging into yahoo mail for example (logging into here didn't work at first but after waiting a bit, i was able to log in), but trying to stay on a secure connection such as a bank accnt. is impossible.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Everyone I've asked says they've never had the problem. I thought I was the only one.
I checked my proxy settings -- nothing is checked. I've tried deleting preferences and I reset safari often. -
Macbook won't access a secure https Citrix website
My Macbook won't access a secure Citrix https site i need for my work on my home broadband connection, although it works fine on some other internet connections. I'm with Virgin broadband, and I think it might be something to do with proxy settings but not sure. It works fine at my friend's house who is on talk talk. If I type in the address, it just hangs and does nothing. Anyone know how to resolve this - it's driving me nuts!!
Thanks for the responses, and since my first post I have tried a few things. Both
connecting directly via ethernet, and using the MacBook back at my place on my wireless network work fine!
A few of the offending sites are www.guardian.co.uk and www.johnlewis.com
I think I must try to get the firmware checked and updated on this router.. -
Problem accessing VIP via HTTP from service servers
I thought I had a pretty simple config on my CSS11501- but have run into an issue I'm having trouble resolving.
I have two unix webservers (IPs are .99 and .100) on ports e1 and e2, and my uplink for the CSS is on port e8.
The CSS has a VIP address (.105) that load balances HTTP requests to .99 and .100.
From .99 and .100 I can ping the VIP address - and from outside the CSS - almost everything works great for the site I'm hosting on .105.
I do have two web pages however that attempt to make calls directly to the VIP address - I noticed I can't load those pages.
Nor can I just browse the website on the VIP address from either of the servers. The webservers can browse their own pages via IP, and each other's pages via IP.
Just not pages on the VIP.
I think it may be a case of the servers thinking that IP spoofing is occurring - or maybe I missed something simple in the config.
Here's what I see in a 'show flows' when I try and browse the VIp address (.105) from the .100 server.
Src Address SPort Dst Address DPort NAT Dst Address Prt InPort OutPort
65.207.212.100 53758 65.207.212.105 80 65.207.212.100 TCP e2 e2
65.207.212.100 80 65.207.212.100 53758 65.207.212.100 TCP e2 e2
Since it appears that the CSS NATs the request to the same IP the server is using, will the reply from the server ever make it back to the CSS?
Or does it think that it shouldn't need to reply - becauuse it is that IP?
Should I be able to browse the VIP site from the webservers.
Below is the full CSS config if someone can help me figure this out.
Thanks in advnace for any and all help.
Paul

apply circuit-(VLAN1)Paul,
simple config and well-know basic mistake :-)
If a server tries to access the vip, the css will forward the request to the same server or the other one.
Both ways, the response from the server will go directly to the client-server, bypassing the CSS.
For this to work, you need to do client nat so the server making the HTTP connection appears to be coming from the CSS.
Create a group like this
group servernat
vip addr 65.207.212.105
active
and add the following to your acl
clause 5 permit any 65.207.212.99 destination content www/rule1 sourcegroup servernet
Do a similar clause for the 2nd server.
re-apply the acl.
Everything should work now.
Gilles.

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.If you mean www.ssa.gov there is no problem (for me) accessing it on Mountain Lion in Safari at all. It also works with Firefox and Opera.
Here it is in Safari: -

CarlosWithout going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.

How do I find the MAC address of a CLIENT ACCESS POINT created from the FILE SERVICES ROLE
I have several Client Access Points created within the clustered File Services Role. The only way I seem to be able to determine the MAC address of each of these, is by visiting the DHCP server.
Does anyone know if there is a way of reporting on this from the server (active node) itself? I have tried ipconfig all, checked the properties of the CAP in the FCS console etc.
Many thanks.
Kathleen Hayhurst Senior IT Support AnalystHi,
As far as I know there have no original option for query all the CAP MAC address, may you can create a PowerShell command then filter the configuration result, you can ask
in PowerShell forum for the further help.

I am using a window 7 professional service pack 1 and I purchase REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES CLIENT ACCESS LICENSES FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS SERVER 2012 STANDARD AND DATACENTER. but the seller did not send me any installation CD or instruction
on how to use it.
Please how can I use it on my window 7 professional service pack 1.
Thank you.Though Bill is absolutely correct for most CALs, Remote Desktop Services does have its own special licensing server. I haven't installed one on 2012, yet, but here is a step-by-step guide for 2008.

Here is a lab guide for 2012 -
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj134160.aspx
But, the explanation of your environment begs the question - what are you trying to do? You say you have a desktop OS and you are talking about Windows Server products. In that light, your question does not make a lot of sense.

Error while running an Odata service in Advanced Rest Client
Hi Experts,
We have created one simple OData model (using Integration gateway) with datasource as SOAP web service. We are able to test the SOAP Web service in STORM tool and getting desired response. But when we run the converted OData URL in Advanced REST Client we are getting the following exceptions/errors.
Could not send message
Also, while looking at SMP3 server log, we came across below error logs:
+0530#ERROR#com.sap.gateway.core.ip.odata.ODataErrorCallbackImpl##anonymous#http-bio-8080-exec-1###handleError(): failed to serve request for URI http://<ip>:8080/gateway/odata/sap/REL2;v=1/GetUserDets(Applid='****',Applpwd='****',Fund='***',Userid='****.***@gmail.com',Password='***@1234'), message = Could not instantiate data provider based on class null |
+0530#ERROR#com.sap.gateway.core.ip.runtime.PathInfoExtractor##anonymous#http-bio-8080-exec-1###null java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: null
Any help?

JKJitendra Kansal
