Sm36 job executed, entries without value in spool report SAPKKA07

Hi,
I am checking spool of executed job in sm37 which is being executed in background report SAPKKA07
job was executed but in spool first 36 entries without a value.
can u advise the solution.

Hi Narinder,
I have tried without TO SAP-SPOOL but it doesn't work.
Submit is automatically creating the spool request when run in background mode.

Hello
Creating fieldcatalogs manually is one of the major error sources in ALV programming.
There is hardly any reason why NOT to use the standard-fm LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE in order to create a proper fieldcatalog.
If you need some modification of the standard fieldcatalog (e.g. renaming of columns, etc.) just do your post-processing after calling the fm.

Problem with Function returned without value -

all i am having a problem w/ jdev passing the values. when hardcoded it works. when i remove to pass the 2 vals for doc_type and doc_num the params are being passed to the impl but the String sql = " BEGIN :5 := scotts_test_proc.get_log(:1, :2, :3, :4 ); END; "; is not sending the values to the pkg. to verify i am getting data i created a table to store the data being passed/retrieved by function. i am getting the log_pieces posted when hard coded so i know that works. but when i try to pass the doc_type and doc_num it errors w/ function returend without value . am i passing the params correctly from co to impl to func to get the return l0g_piece. thats for the help

Job executing the SSIS pkg via cmdExec line step not picking the config details (of prod server connections/parameters)
specified in dtsConfig file and by default using the values present in the pkg (which is of dev env). I have to open the package
uncheck "Enable package configuration" save the package and check it again and save again then the package will use the prod config.
What could be the reason? and how to fix this?
The SSIS pkg and the dtsCofig reside in same folder of network drive.

This is the by design behavior. The Dtexec utility will apply the default package configurations for the second time after applying the options specified in the command lines or other package configurations configured in the job step. In this way, as long
as the default package configurations file is valid, the configurations of it cannot be overwritten.
If the package is not deployed/installed, the Dtexec utility looks for the XML configurations file according to the file path defined in the Package Configurations Organizer window. In this situation, you need to either disable the package configurations or
modify the XML file path in the BIDS.
If the package is already deployed/installed, you need to modify the package as above or re-specify the install folder for the package configurations file.

User entry without restriction

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there was way of getting a user entry without actually restricting based on the entry.
I need the user to enter a year value (mandatory)and based on that, I have to create another variable using User exit. How can that be done?

As Andrew mentioned:
1) Create a variable on 0calyear with 'user entry' as processing,if there is no standard variable for 0calyear.(say VAR1)
2) Take any key figure in to columns , and then restrict it with above variable(restriction with user entered year)
3) Hide the above key figure.
4) Now creat a variable with processing 'customer exit' and representation 'Single value' on date field which you want use in restrriction .(say VAR2)
5) fill this varible with the help of user entered value for variable created in step 1.Here you will fill the fisrt date of the year.
6) Use the variable in VAR2 as follws in the restriction.
DATE < VAR2.
7) Now creat another variable with processing 'customer exit' and representation 'Single value' on date field which you want use in restrriction .(say VAR3)
8) fill this varible with the help of user entered value for variable created in step 1.Here you will fill the last date of the year.
9) Use the variable in VAR3 as follws in the restriction.
DATE > VAR3.
10) At last in the restriction you will have like this:
DATE < VAR2.
DATE > VAR3.

Execute query without navigation

hi all,
My problem today that I want to execute query without navigation.
I create a global variable
(:global.usr := :block.username;)
as you see the global variable takes the value of the current user accessing the system.
I want the user to be able to change his password without any privilage to see the other users.

that what I did but what I want is to restrict his access only according to the value in the global variable

I tryed to run the following code but I dont know why the condition in the else clause always execute.

I have opened my standby database in READ ONLY mode.I have undo tablespace.It is live setup and users are checking data with standby database.

I have temp tablespace and see the below output.
SQL> select name from v$tempfile;
no rows selected
Which means i do not have any temp file to temp tablespace.
How do i can create tempfile in standby?.In what following states i can create,
1) MOUNT ( Recovery mode canceled)
2) READ ONLY
3) opened after FAILOVER
4) At any stage i can
My client is planning to check the DR server by doing FAILOVER.After that will create standby database again from primary.

It gets compiled successfully but when i run the report, i get 2 errors.
Error 1:
REP-1401: 'no_daysformula':Fatal PL/SQL error occurred.
ora-06503: PL/SQL : Function returned without value.
Error 2:
REP-0619: You cannot run without a layout.
Should i use only 1 return statement?
Can i use as many return statements as i want?
What is the exact mistake? Please let me know.

Let me clear you the first thing...
If you get any fatal errors while running the report (e.g., function returned without value,no value etc.,) the report will show
REP-0619: You cannot run without a layout.
So you just correct the function 'no_daysformula' .
First of all you run the report without that formula column.
If it works fine then , Check the return value of your formula column (Your formula column properties --> Return value --> value (It will be DATE as i think so).
As function will always return a single value, Check your formula 'no_daysformula' returns the same.
declare a return variable say for example..
DECLARE
V_DATE DATE;
BEGIN
--YOUR CODE---
RETURN V_DATE := (RETURN VALUE)
END;
Last but not least ... use Else condition to return (NULL or any value ) in your code and check..

Is it possible to create and process PO with the line without value?

Hi,
I am wondering whether is it possible to create and process the PO with the lines without the value?
I was thinking that this process would allow me to better track and understand the pallets which arrive to the site so I have set up the pallet as a material but systems doesn't allow me to order the line (pallet) without value?
Or maybe there is other way which will allow me to track the pallets within the system?

Thanks for the reply. Of all the suggestions I've received this seemed to
be most promising. I gave it a try and the problem is that when I attempt
to save as optimized a message box pops up and says I have to save my
document first. Low and behold when I save it, compression occurs. Even
when I select the options you suggest I'm left with a compressed document.

KE30 not displaying Text for CO-PA Char Without Value Maintainance

Hello Experts,
We have a characteristic that was created Without value maintainance, because we use an Exit to get the Vendor from material in EINA, concatenating with the Vendor text from table LFA1.
Now I created a report in KE30, but the characteristic text (that appears in KE24) does not appear in KE30, it comes as "blank".
Is there a way to make the text for this characteristic to appear in KE30 report?

F110 Generate Check Number without creating a spool.

Dear Gurus,
In F110 Automatic Payment Run, I want to generate check numbers but without creating a spool. I want to do so because the interface would give the cheque details straight away to the banks. Also a spool should not be created in system for control purposes to avoid duplication.

Hi,
Create a blank payment form and assign it to the payment method in FBZP. Thus no cheque is printed / spool created when running the print program in F110. At the same time cheque numbers are also generated.

It means to allow "Anonymous LOGON" and "Everyone" users to search entries in AD, I think.Sorry, can't help. In OpenLDAP it meansallow * searchor possiblyallow * auth
You mean that if I do it, will the codes below be unnecessary in Java?That's not only what I meant, it is what I said, concerning the principal and credentials lines.
You don't need the SECURITY_AUTHENTICATION line, I never use it with LDAP whether I'm providing credentials or not (and in the cases where you are supplying the principal and credentials, it certainly doesn't make any sense to specify 'none'.)

Variable Entry - Select Values for plant

Hi All,
I am using a variable(OPLANT) in a report and in select screen I just need Key and Text.But Now I see more details. Ex:key,text,country key,business partners and so on. How do I get this to display just key and text from the select values screen.
I tried Business explorer tab settings and set it to key and text but still no luck.
Any Help please ?

Hi,
There is a third check you can do apart from the two checks mentioned by Kiran above.
There is column called 'Order for F4 help' in the 'Attribute' tab of an infoobject.
Here the value against each of the attribute being displayed as of now should be made'00'.
When we make custom infoobjects, it is generally kept as '00' by default.
But since this is a standard SAP infoobject, this might have values greater than 0.
This indicates that these values will appear along with the infoobject during the value
help (in the order of the number mentioned).
It might not be possible for you to change this number. In that case you might have to
create an infoobject (copy of this object but without values against 'order for F4 help') and
use in the flow and query.

1.My client manufacturing material (A), which is used to produce actual finished goods (B). First material (A) is produced and sold to customer due to the high cost of the material. I followed standard sales order process to sell material (A). (But actually that material is not delivered to the customer, we just deliver it only in the system)
2. Then the same material (A) is to be brought in to the plant as customer material. It wont be included in the value of the plant, because it is customers property lying in our plant to produce actual finished goods (B). How to inward the material in to our plant?
3. Pattern/Die material has periodical maintenance to be done by my client. How do we process this in SAP? (Because that material is not our asset or work centre)

Hi,
You have two main options,
Either you receive the material as a non-valuated item (you can use a PO and zero price if you want, or create a new material for it). The problem with this is that if you use Moving Average Prices and don't use a new material it will corrupt the MAP. If you use a separate material then this would be the preferred option.
If you can't use a separate material (i.e. one that is different from the material used to sell it to the customer) then I would use the second option.
The secomd option is to bring the item in as Vendor Consignment stock. This is stock available to use but has nop value until you consume it. The problem with this option is, if you consume the item (in a PP order or goods issue to your own stock or similar) the system will post a liability to the vendor which it will expect top be paid.
So a lot depends on the detailed process you are planniong to use and if it is a separate material master record.

Is there an option for me to post my blog entries without having to show the dates the blog entries are created on the site? I just want the titles to e shown but not the dates.. I deleted the dates on the template but after publishing, the dates still show..
