Small pops up boxes asking permission to install flash player!!??

I play on a farm game, where everyday as a task we have to visit the friends farms to do some actions; for the last 7 or 8 months, everytime I go into one of those farms, a small box pops up asking permission to install  flashplayer, since I already got the Flash Player installed, I just click the deny permission option just for safe....  and I am really sick of keep getting it again and again, it doesn´t even have the logo or the corporative image of adobe products when that pops up little box comes up..  Is That a new way for hackers to try to get into our pc´s?? Are hackers trying to use the Flash Player name so we users let some crap get into our pc´s, thinking than it´s safe cause it has a known name?

To explain better about that pops up box, this is what it says :
"Adobe Flash Player Settings
Local Storage
nameofthegamesite is
requesting permission to
store information on your
computer.
Requested: up to unlimited
Currently Used: 1 kb
            Allow         Deny          "
I need to know if this message its genuine from adobe or what does it means, if i should allow?? please a light on this, thanks

  • Why does Facebook Farmville 2 keep asking me to install flash player when it is already installed in firefox?

My os is windows 8.1.  I use firefox.  I play facebooks farmville 2.  It keeps asking me to install the new 3d flash player which is already installed. I've followed your steps and nothing has worked.  I cannot play farmville 2 on firefox because of the necessity of installing the flash player which is already installed.

Are you using AdBlock Pro or another ad-blocking or anti-tracking technology?  If so, you should try disabling it.

  • I have been getting a popup dialog box asking me to update flash player, but I don't know if I should trust it, as the exe file name is "tmp4E11.exe".

    Hi Team,
I am only sending you an email as I am unable to find the answer to this question anywhere on your web site.
Just started within the past half an hour, I have been getting an update Flash Player dialog box popping up on my desktop, saying to update now or later or not at all, but I don't recognize it as the standard type of update dialog box that is sent by Adobe.  The file name that is being used to click on for the update is "tmp4E11.exe:, is this a genuine Adobe update.  I just can't stop this dialog box from popping up every ten seconds.  HELP please.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
if it's popping up every 10 seconds or so it's not official Flash Player update as ours does not display that often.  Can you post a screenshot of it, How to post a screenshot in the forum.

  • Computer keeps asking me to install Flash Player 10.2

I have both a desktop and a laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. I was using IE8 (32-bit) when I first updated to 10.2, but now I am using IE9 (32-bit). Neither computer has ever had issues running Flash content within my browser, but every few days I get a prompt that says something along the lines of "Flash Player 10.2 is now available. Would you like to download it?"  Afer the download, I always run the installation which completes with no errors. The weird thing is that both of my computers currently have version 10.2.159.1 and the version never changes after the installation. I have searched online for solutions to this issue, but the only thing I can find are forum postings that were written in 2008 or earlier regarding previous versions of Flash Player. Is this an issue with Flash Player in general, or did something go wrong with the installation on both of my computers?

Hi, The first thing I would do is check in the addons of the browser for Shockwave Flash Object. Make sure it is Enabled.
I use the Adobe Flash Player prompt and always check the addons, so have never had another prompt appear.
See if that is the issue.

  • Web page asks to install Flash Player again

    Hello everybody,
I have a friend who has a recurrent well-known problem when she tries to watch a video with IE and Youtube. Web page asks her to install Flash Player again and it is not possible to view the video. No problem with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
I applied the advice sheet by Chris Campbell "How do I fix Windows permission problems with Flash Player?" that I found on this forum but the problem persists. What can I do to solve this problem?
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition SP1, Internet Explorer 10 Version 10.0.09200.16540, Shockwave Flash Object Version 11.7.700.169, Shockwave ActiveX Control 12.0 Development
    Thank you for your help.
    Pepin.

    Hello Chris,
Sorry for the delay. I have difficulties to identify the exact model of the laptop in the HP family (HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC g7-2043sf). The label was hidden under the battery. It was important to download the suitable drivers. And then I went on holidays.
    KB2670838 is already installed.
There are two video drivers on the laptop :
    1) Intel HD Graphics Family
    2) Radeon HD 7670M
The Intel driver was already up-to-date.
I installed the last available version for Radeon driver (8.933.3.4000 03/05/2012).
It was a good idea to upgrade video drivers but unfortunately the problem persists.

  • Installed Flash Player but not working

I've installed the Flash Player Version 9 and when I try to
use an application that requires this software I get a pop up box
asking me to install Macromedia Flash Player, even though it is
installed. I have read through your forums, check registry
settings, uninstalled and reinstalled, run the microsoft subinacl
    patch all to no avail.
    Why doesn't it play?

I was having the exact same problems mentioned in this topic.
Uninstalled/installed Flash and Shockwave. Used the appropriate
uninstaller, searched for rogue .dll extension files, cleaned out
the C:\Windows\System32\Macromedia\Flash files, looked at the
manage add-ons, posted on this forum, e-mailed Adobe, spoke with
them on the phone and even uninstalled IE7 and went back to IE 6.
    None of that helped.
Reading through some of the responses on various posts, I
    found the following:
Uninstall flash with the latest Adobe stand alone uninstaller
Download Complete Standalone installer Flash Player 9 earlier
    version from
    http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/flash.html
Uninstall shockwave with the latest Adobe stand alone
    uninstaller
Download Stand-alone installers for Shockwave Player:
    previous versions only

Note: Users of Windows XP operating system must use the 8.5.1
Shockwave player or higher. For more information, please

I tried this last night - one and then the other one - and
    they both are running fine.
    Hope this helps someone else.

  • When i install flash player im told to install it again.

Last week i installed the new flash player when i did sites that use flash player started freezing up and started asking me to install flash player. I have tried all the solutions: reset internet options, disable all addons, uninstall and reinstall flash, fixing flash player windows perimssions, manually installing flash player, nabually installing flash player while offline and its starting to annoy me. Im using IE9 and i run windows 7, i have an alienware Aurora. Im not very good with computers. I also tried the 11.5 beta and that didnt help and i reverted to an older one and the sites tell me to upgrade.

    On IE9, do you have
    Shockwave Flash Object add-on enabled?
    ActiveX Filtering disabled?

  • Flashplayer pop up box  "Requesting permission to store info on my computer" does not respond and will not go away. How do I get rid of it. It is most annoying as it stays right in the middle of the screen.

Move cursor onto video.  Right click.  Click Settings,  Click the "never ask again" box. Then click Close.  That will work.
For some reason, that always worked for me, but in the last two days, it does not work, and it seems to freeze on the
video.  See, if it works for you.

keep getting a pop up box asking me to download photo and video, many boxes appear saying the same thing . I have no devices connected to download anything. I want this to not happen or appear.
This will just keep appearing when I am online.Using Firefox latest version I just installed Window7 from Vista. never happened prior. Windows live Photo Gallery is usually my default to open, but that is from a phone device connected to my computer.

Usually "Flame" does this (a virus that should have been auto destructed 2 weeks ago). It could be another virus or worm. My advice, FIRST scan your computer with antivirus (completely). Don't use free antiviruses. They are not providing enough protection. Then delete all temp. files and browsing history. Remove and reinstall Firefox. (don't install it automatically: ask for custom install at the beginning). It is much better to download it again from www.mozilla.org because your actual version might be corrupted by the virus (IF ANY VIRUS IS FOUND). Anyway you won't lose downloading it again.
PS: Windows 7 includes a very useful tool to scan your PC. Windows Defender. Run it along with the antivirus.
