Smart Form - operator not followed by value

Hi all,
in smart form --> Global definition --> initialization
i have written this code....
select belnr gjahr bukrs blart bldat budat waers into corresponding fields of
table tbkpf from bkpf where
bukrs = ubukrs and gjahr = ugjahr and budat in ubudat.
Here cmp code and fiscal year is parameter but posting date is select-options.
Its gives error :- The IN operator with "BUDAT" is followed neither by an internal table nor by a value list.
i have taken input parameters also.
Edited by: Julius Bussche on Nov 13, 2008 10:56 AM

select-options should be handled in a different manner in smart forms.
declare 2 variable say
1) budat_low
2) budat_high.
Pass the low value of posting date to budat_low and high value of posting date to budat_high.
then handle the above 2 variables in select query using BETWEEN.
eg: budat between budat_low and budat_high.

  • How  can i print currency symbol in smart form?

how  can i print currency symbol in smart form?
i want to print the currency symbol with grant total based on the vendor currency.
    pls hepl............

    Hi,
think You can't print the symbols for currency like $ and Pound etc
    see this doc if needed
A variable in SAPscript is called a symbol. There are the following types.
    • System symbol (e.g. the number of the current page)
    • Standard symbol (usable in any document)
    • Program symbol (value from the print program)
    • Text symbol (“local variable”)
The value of a symbol is text for using within SAPscript code and is represented by the symbol-name enclosed by ampersands. On seeing the tell-tale ampersands in SAPscript code, you sometimes need to figure out the symbol type.
goto any PAGEWINDOW's Text elements in Script (SE71)
    from the Menu-> INSERT-> Symbols
    you find all symbols here
    System symbols
System symbols in a SAPscript form are comparable to system fields like SY-UZEIT in an ABAP program, and include these. The graphical editor offers three types of system symbol.
    1. General system symbols
See the table TTSXY. PAGE is the most widely used. The list given in our BC460 training manuals is out of date.
    2. SAPscript system symbols
See the dictionary structure SAPSCRIPT. SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES is the most widely used.
    3. ABAP system symbols
For the ABAP system field SY-UNAME, say, the symbol is SYST-UNAME. http://SYST is the dictionary structure for ABAP system fields.
    Sample code:
    User: &SYST-UNAME&
    Page &PAGE& of &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES(C3)&
    Standard symbols
Standard symbols are maintained centrally (in the table TTDTG via transaction SE75) for use in any document. Menu path:
    Tools
    Form Printout
    Administration
    Settings
Some standard symbols are SAP-standard and others are custom. Curiously, table TTDTG is cross-client although SAPscript forms are not.
The value of a standard symbol has to be defined for each language used. This gives a way to make a single SAPscript form multi-lingual.
We can take advantage to an extent of the central maintenance, though there is no guarantee that the available standard symbols will used in every appropriate context.
Standard symbols complicate searching a SAPscript form, since text like ‘Charity registration 211581’ may be hiding in a standard symbol.
    Text symbols
A text symbol is declared and assigned to within the SAPscript code, and so obviously applies only to the current document. The command DEFINE is used, requiring /: in the tag column, as in the following examples.
    /: DEFINE &COMP_NAME& = ‘University of Warwick’
    /: DEFINE &WS_RATE& = &TAX_SUMM_C&

  • Smart Forms Euro € symbol?

    Hello Experts!
I want to add € in my Smart Forms Text.
There is an OSS hint 616683 to this question but all releases mentioned are lower than our used release and the solution with entering the Number 156 for € doesn't work.
    Please help
    Best Regards
    Annette

    Hi Annette,
    Using SAP Script:
To print Euro Symbol in SAP Script, do the following:
Put the sequence <156> at the desired location in the text editor of the corresponding page window as shown below:
During the print preview, the output would be as shown below:
    Using Smart Forms:
For printing Euro symbol in Smart Form, do the following:
In the Microsoft Word document, click on Insert -> Symbols
Select the Euro symbol from the list. The symbol would appear on the document. Copy the symbol and paste in the text editor of the Smart form as shown below:
Save and activate the Smart Form and do the test run. The print preview would be as shown below:
Printing of Euro symbol might not be possible on all Printers. By default, SAP R/3 supports the euro symbol only when using the SAPWIN device type and printing over SAPLPD (mainly used for individual document printing).
To print this on Kyocera printers, do the following:
“When using PRESCRIBE device types (like kyofs150, kyofs170, zkm10pre) the euro sign will not be printed very beautiful. To print the real Euro sign instead of the combined ( and = character on top of each other) please set the character 156 of the SAP code page 1114 to 80 hex. In this case the Euro sign will be printed correctly. Alternatively please copy the code page 1114 to e.g. 9114 and make the modification there. Then you just have to switch the used code page of your device type (kyofs150, 170 or zkm10pre) to 9114 as well.”
Also check the SAP Note 0129581 for more information on this.

what is the difference between smart forms and scripts.?

    Differences between Smartforms and SAPscript
    a) Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts
    b) It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .
    c) Routines can be written in smartforms tool.
    d) Smartforms generates a function module when activated.
    e) Smartforms can create web enable forms like XML
    f) smartforms itself contine subroutine pools need not to main separetly like in case of scripts
Request you to refer the following links
    www.sap-img.com/smartforms/smartform-sapscripts.htm
    www.erpgenie.com/abap/smartforms_sapscript.htm
    Sapscript vs Smartforms
    Difference with SMARTFORMS vs. SapScript(SE71)
The Following are the differences :-
    a) Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts
    b) It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .
    c) Labels cannot be created in smartforms.
    d) Routines can be written in smartforms tool.
    e) Smartforms generates a function module when activated
Scripts are client dependent whereas smartforms aren't.
Upto 99 main windows are possible in scripts and only one in smarforms.
To create multiple main windows in scripts, you just have to give the window type as MAIN whnever you create a window.
Scripts still exists but smartforms are in use from 4.6c version, now the lastest version of these two is adobe forms
SAP Smart Forms is introduced in SAP Basis Release 4.6C as the tool for creating and maintaining forms.SAP Smart Forms allow you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools; in 90% of all cases, this won't include any programming effort. Thus, a power user without any programming knowledge can
configure forms with data from an SAP System for the relevant business processes.
    Advantages of SAP Smart Forms
SAP Smart Forms have the following advantages:
    1. The adaptation of forms is supported to a large extent by graphic tools for layout and logic, so that no programming knowledge is necessary (at least 90% of all adjustments). Therefore, power user forms can also make configurations for your business processes with data from an SAP system. Consultants are only required in special cases.
    2. Displaying table structures (dynamic framing of texts)
    3. Output of background graphics, for form design in particular the use of templates which were scanned.
    4. Colored output of texts
    5. User-friendly and integrated Form Painter for the graphical design of forms
    6. Graphical Table Painter for drawing tables

  • How to print bullet in smart form

    Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in smart form  where different points of texts should come under a bullet.
Can you please tell  me how to print bullet in smart form.
Note : I have to use Standard text
    Thanks in advance
    Bikas

    hi
    good
We can create bullets in smartforms.
For this change the editor to text editor and then
goto insert->characters->SAP Symbols and select the
    symbol you want.
    This may help your requirement.
You cannot see the bullets in print preview, it'll
appear only on a hard copy.
    reward point if helpful.

    Hi All!
Could you advise please is there a way, except abap programming, to setup in smart forms that different standard texts values (tcode so10) to be used based on different selected parameters (e.g. customers, vendors etc... ).
    e.g.

for customer A- standard text A to be used.
for customer B- standard text B....
    Thanks,

  • Problem with smart forms.......

Hi friends, I m facing a strange problem while using smart form. I am using values from standard smartform for invoice n just modifying the layout. The problem is tht,the value i m getting is like '14.223,56' bt the actual value that i want should be  '14,223.56'. That is the '.' and ',' are interchanged. Please tell me some way by which i can make it right.
Good points will surely be awarded for answers.
    Thanks..........

Have you checked your user defaults in transaction SU01
under the defaults tab there is a section for decimal notation.

  • Smart form printing without dialog box

    Hi,
Thanks to eveyone for reading this post.
I want to print a form thru smartform. I am able to do that now by calling that smart form and passing the data. Now i wanted to print multiple docs using smartform so that the dialog box printer doesnt apppear and all printing is executed without any user intervention.
I tried to call smart form in the following way so that data is printed to the printer without any thing appearing on the screen (dialog box).
I did consult the forums here and when i try it I either see the dialog box or see other sy-subrc.
    Code -
    Data: w_ctrlop TYPE ssfctrlop,
             w_compop TYPE ssfcompop.
    W_COMPOP-tdnewid   = 'X'.
    W_COMPOP-tdFINAL   = 'X'.
    W_COMPOP-tdimmed   = 'X'.
    W_COMPOP-tddelete  = 'X'.
    W_COMPOP-tdcopies  = 1 .
    *W_COMPOP-TDNOPREV  = 'X' .
    W_COMPOP-TDDEST    = 'LP01'.
    *W_COMPOP-tdnoprint = 'X'.
W_ctrlop-DEVICE    = 'PRINTER'.    " Here we dont give printer name 'KX-P3696'.
    w_ctrlop-no_dialog = 'X'.
    w_ctrlop-preview   = ''.
    CALL FUNCTION '/1BCDWB/SF00000135'
    *CALL FUNCTION v_form_name
      EXPORTING
        control_parameters  =  w_ctrlop
        output_options      =  w_compop
        user_settings       = 'X'
      IMPORTING

        internal_error     = 2
        send_error         = 3
        user_canceled      = 4
        OTHERS             = 5.
i would be glad if anyone can help me. I did a few RND in the code above to make it work but it dosent.
Moreover when the dialog box appears then there is a text in the bar below which says please maintain printer master data. (something like that). Is that creating a problem ?
    Thanks,
    JG

  • What are Smart Forms?

    Hi All,
What are smart forms and what's it's use? As a functional consultant, what do i need to know about it?
A User asked me about creating a SmartForm to gather information (from different dept of the business - Finance, Quality, Purchasing...etc) to create a new Material Master.
What is the transaction code for this? Are smart form something like PDF? Can this be saved to desktop and email to people via outlook? Are data input to the form also saved with the form?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Smartforms are layout sets in SAP.
    Transaction Code :SMARTFORMS
As a functional consultant you need to know the standard forms available for different scenarios. If you need to develop a new layout, you need to give layout design and proper logic to ABAPer.
Visit [SAP's online help on Smartforms|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/a5/de6838abce021ae10000009b38f842/content.htm].
You use Smart Forms to create and maintain forms for mass printing in SAP systems. Besides using the printer for standard output you can also select the Internet (by using a generated HTML output), a fax, or e-mail as the output medium.
In addition to the tool, SAP delivers a selection of forms for central business processes. This includes forms in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) as well as in the applications SD, FI, and HR.
Smart Forms offers the following advantages:
    -        Creating and maintaining forms requiring half the time
    -        Adapting forms without any programming knowledge due to entirely graphical user interface
    -        Integrating input elements into the HTML output, which enables you to use a form in Internet applications as well
