Smartform in different Langauges

Hi All,
Ive converted a SAP script to a smartform.
Earlier all column headers in the sap script were read from the driver program's
text elements.
These text elements were maintained in different languages.
So simply changing the logon langauage would automatically change the language of the column headers.
example text-001 Code (in EN)
text-001 Codigo (in ES)
These texts could be directly printed in the script.
But this is not possbile in the smartform as text-001 is not a recognized variable for the smartform
How can i maintain translations for this program? There are many languages.

Reports 6i needs to be displayed in different langauges

Hi all,
Could someone please explain to me how I can have oracle reports (6i) in different langauges. My reports were created in english and now needs to converted to other langauges eg to display the report on the web in German or French.... At the present moment i have the reports displayed using RWCGI60 in IIS web server.

Are you linking correclty the "key" structure?
Say, for example:
gs_key-header01 = 'ACCOUNT'.
gs_key-item01 = 'ACCOUNT'.
This should link your two tables by the "account" field.
and the call to the function

Smartform in different servers.

Hi gurus,
My requirement is that i need to print a particular text in the smartform .this text should appear in the developement server and quality server but not in the production server.
is there is any condition by which we can restrict the display of the text in different servers.The developement server has system id DE1 and quality ME1 and production PE1.

U can check the system variable SY-SYSID, here u can find the Server ID:
IF SY-SYSID = 'DE1' OR SY-SYSID = 'ME1'.

Smartform output different

Hello,
I have some smartforms, the output is different in my two systems. In the developpement system everything is ok, when I go in the consolidation system ... the text is not align, the gray is not the same, the tabulation are sometimes different ...
I have no idea how to check if the smartforms in the two system are the both, and what could be different ..
Any help are welcome

I have check the form style, but I see something strange in the table STXSADM, there is the same creation date, but not the same modification date (with the same version number).
So I ask a new request order for this form style. I'm waiting the result.
I have check the output device also, it's the same, I use local device of my Windows.

Smartform - Printing differently on different printers

Hi Guru's,
I've a problem in printing the smartform to 2 different printers.
1. LOCL - we don't have any problems in printing to the Local Printer.
2.HP Printer (HIITPRT21) - when we print the document using this printer , Header is printing in one page and the Remaining contents (Main Window) is printing in different pages.
I don't think there is a problem with the smartform, because it should print the same way on LOCL as HP Printer Does.
Could you please let me know where the problem is and how to resolve it???

URGENT : Converting Smartform into different languages

HI ALL,
Any one has idea about how to convert the smartform to required language,I am trying to convert smartform language Engilsh to Sweden.
When i logon to Swden language and converting the EN smartform to SV,its not changed ,how to solve this issue.

Hi,
Check this setting in your smart form.
Global Settings --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes Tab.
Set radio button 'To All Languages'.
Now your smart form will be translated automatically to the logon language.
For example if you want to see your form in korean language, logout SAP once, then login with korean language 'KO'. (field after username and password)
If you need any specific text in other languages ... you have to create text id in SO10 using different logon languages.

Smartforms have different FM,Program Name in different system

I have created few Smartforms in our DEV system & imported to QAS & PRD.
Here I found the Smartform - Function Module, Programs names are different in each system.
Smartform: Z_SD_INV_LETTER_V3
Sys                     Function Module
DEV                       /1BCDWB/SF00000006
QAS                       /1BCDWB/SF00000002
PRD                       /1BCDWB/SF00000002
On import the changes are reflected correctly in the corresponding Function Module & programs
in each system.
1. I want to know why there is a change in version of the Function Module/Program in each system.
2. How are the changes been applied on importing to each system as the version differs.

From my investigation found that few tests smartforms was created in DEV system, which was the cause of the problem. My Smartform present versions across the landscape looks as follows:
Smartform: Z_SD_INV_LETTER_V3
Sys     Function Module
DEV    /1BCDWB/SF00000006
QAS   /1BCDWB/SF00000002
PRD    /1BCDWB/SF00000002
In order to maintain all the function module name to be the same across the landscape, is there anything that can be done
in DEV as follows:
Smartform: Z_SD_INV_LETTER_V3
Sys     Function Module
DEV    /1BCDWB/SF00000002
QAS   /1BCDWB/SF00000002
PRD    /1BCDWB/SF00000002
Like something I could reset the internal number range for the smartforms & load the smartform again and activate or so...?. Please let me know...

Smartforms output different in two systems

Hi Gurus,
I've a smartform in Q and Prd. Versions are same but the font and style look different in both systems. In Q, the form is in bold, but not in Prd. Is it related to printer settings? What to check in SPAD? Both systems use LOCL printer. I also noticed the device type in SPAD is different. Does it impact the font?

Hello Raju.
     1) If you have used smartstyle for font, check if it is transported to PRD. It may still be in QAS.
     2) Get the smartform backup from PRD and upload it in DVT and transport to QAS.
     Now check the output in QAS.

In one form I want the matter to be printed in two different languages.
Eg. One window in English other window in Germany. Is it possible.

In Smartforms we have a option in the initial screen of smartforms
Go to Transaction SMARTFORMS
Enter your form name
then change
Click the Form Attributes
Go to the general attributes of form attributes
there you find language attributes
select the all languages Radio button for multiple languages.

Problem with storing and retriving a different langauge font in mysql

i have problem with storing and retriving a different character set in
mysql database ( for example storing kannada font text in database)
it simply store what ever typed in JTextField in database in the
formate ??????????? and it showing ???????? .
please what can i do this problem.

MySQL does not know about what type of Font you use or store. that is applicatioon specific. All it knows is the character set that you are storing and the data type and data. THere are something you should know when working with database and Java:
1. make sure you know what character set is used for the database table.
2. make sure you know what character set is used by Java (default to UTF-8 ..
sort off - there are few character that it cannot save). You can enforce the
character set being sent to the database by the String's getBytes(String charsetName) method.
3. make sure the application you use to view the table use the correct character set
if it use a different character set, then any character that it does not recogized
will be replaced with a quetion mark '?'....eventhough the data is correct.

Printing same smartform with different set of records continuously.

Think that the smartform contain only a single page(Suppose smartform of student result).In the Selection screen User can put the range of ID.When User put 1-3 the smartform print 3 pages---1st for the student with id 1,2nd for student with id 2 and 3rd for student with id 3.when user put the input 1-2 the smartform print 2 pages.I need your help to accomplish such a scenario.

Hi,
As per user's selection criteria you need fetch data in your driver program and need to store it in an internal table. The same internal table you need to pass to smartform. to handle your requirement of displaying one student record per page you need to use COMMAND node (with some condition). Using this you can force your smartform for page-break.

Make sure you are purchasing from the appropirate App Store.

Editing smartform in different language

HI Wish,
Copy the smart form into another form in the languages you want from the smartforms transaction.(go to smartforms->copy) from the menu.Probably you should be able to do this by loggin in that partiular logon language.
