Smartforms have different FM,Program Name in different system

Hi,
I have created few Smartforms in our DEV system & imported to QAS & PRD.
Here I found the Smartform - Function Module, Programs names are different in each system.
Smartform: Z_SD_INV_LETTER_V3
Sys                     Function Module
DEV                       /1BCDWB/SF00000006
QAS                       /1BCDWB/SF00000002
PRD                       /1BCDWB/SF00000002
On import the changes are reflected correctly in the corresponding Function Module & programs
in each system.
1. I want to know why there is a change in version of the Function Module/Program in each system.
2. How are the changes been applied on importing to each system as the version differs.

From my investigation found that few tests smartforms was created in DEV system, which was the cause of the problem. My Smartform present versions across the landscape looks as follows:
Smartform: Z_SD_INV_LETTER_V3
Sys     Function Module
DEV    /1BCDWB/SF00000006
QAS   /1BCDWB/SF00000002
PRD    /1BCDWB/SF00000002
In order to maintain all the function module name to be the same across the landscape, is there anything that can be done
in DEV as follows:
Smartform: Z_SD_INV_LETTER_V3
Sys     Function Module
DEV    /1BCDWB/SF00000002
QAS   /1BCDWB/SF00000002
PRD    /1BCDWB/SF00000002
Like something I could reset the internal number range for the smartforms & load the smartform again and activate or so...?. Please let me know...

I just noticed that many applications I use (Adium, iTunes, Cashbox, and SoulseeX, for example) now suddenly have their respective program names as the final item in their context menus. They don't seem to have any function, but are nevertheless are annoying to me. Anyone know what the cause of this might be, or if this is something new (and pointless) to 10.4.7?

I figured it out. It turns out I didn't properly uninstall DAP Plus (it has an uninstaller), and it didn't remove an item in Library/Contextual Menu Items.

Report issue , logical name of the system has been changed

Hi
Recently our system has been upgraded to ECC5.0. In a particular report while drilling down we get error. The error says the original doc can not be shown as it belongs to logical system ( DRH-123) . Now we know that this logical name of the system was in old box . The new logical name is DRH-100 . We are saying it's a basis issue and the basis team is saying it's FICO issue.Has any body encountered this type of problem. ? In my report i have never mentioned logical name of the system.Hence unable to understand it. But so far what I have understood , that the each box has been partioned and given a system name which is called logical name.Now that logical name they have changed in new box.My initial response was change the logical name but basis says that is a big task and more over it has been a while when they changed it.
Gurus, Kindly shed some light on this mess.

Smartforms - difference in auto-generated FM name in different systems

The situation is:
I have created a smartform in our Dev application server and tested it to achieve the view I needed. The Dev system generates FM with automatic name /1BCDWB/SF00000005. I have successfuly transported it to our test system and checked with data. After some short time I found an error in smartform and made a fix in a Dev. system. When trying to test it I found that the system modifies the FM name to /1BCDWB/SF00000006. This leads to modification in my source code, from where I call this FM with actual parameters (not test).
The problem occures when I transported both the smartform and report from where I call it to the test system again. I obtained a shortdump with message like:
'...FM /1BCDWB/SF00000006 does not exist...'
After short investigation I have found, that in our Test system this smartform still generates *** and corresponds to *** the FM with name /1BCDWB/SF00000005.
Next, I'm unable to transport FuGr /1BCDWB/SF00000006 from Dev. to Test because it does not have Dev.Class assosiated and asks for Licence Key (furthermore, I'm not sure this should be done in this way).
Now in our Dev system FM named /1BCDWB/SF00000005 corresponds to another smartform (made by me more than year ago).
And, what is pitty, If I try to release a transport with report which calls FM named /1BCDWB/SF00000005 from Dev, I have about 17 extended program errors (during extended program check) saying that 'there is no such FM'...
For me this is missing of some consistency. What should I do to get consistency between our systems back? (means to have corresponding smartform relation to the same FM name in all the systems)
Any help whould be highly appreciated.

Do we have different Print Programs for printing Cheques in Different Lang

Hi Peers,
I have requirement of Cheque printing in SPANISH Language.
We have been using Program RFFOUS_C (International Payment Medium - Check (with check management)) for printing Cheques in French & English.
This same print program does not work with the Spanish Script ZF110_ES_CHEQUE which is copy of French script.
I am wondering if we have to use a different Print Program (RFFOES_T) or is it the issue with the data & configuration.
Could you please clarify.

The Print Program set in FBZP is RFFOUS_C for the country Mexico.
The Print program works well in Client DCO100 but the same printprogram when used in DCO101 doesn't work for the Mexico script.
The Mexico script is also a copy from client DCO 100 . In the this Mexico script I have changed the currency & Defined language as 'S' at some places .
The payments are processed but no Spool requests are generated.

Why do the .default profile folders in XP and 7 have different names?

I am a new user of SugarSync online backup that synchronizes folders between computers. My XP has a Firefox profile folder wjfvu1mr.default, and Window 7 has a profile folder 6fogozjd.default. Both systems use Firefox 4.0. I cannot sync these folders between systems because they have different names. Any ideas so I can use SugarSync? Rename on of thee .default folders?
BTW. I would like to use SugarSync to do this but what about Firefox Sync? I know nothing about how that works.

Profile folders are named randomly for your security. However, you should be able to change the name if you like. I have not tested this procedure, so you might want to wait for further input.
First, make a backup: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information].
Next, with Firefox closed, rename your profile folder.
Then, navigate up to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox and edit the path in profiles.ini to match the new folder name.
Regarding Firefox Sync, since it works with desktops and mobile, I don't think it relies on profile names to match up. But Firefox Sync is a very young offering and may not have the full functionality of SugarSync.

Dataflow targets for SAP BW Datasource have different names in Dev/QA/PRD

I am using BODI to load from flat file into a SAP BW Datasource.
All is working fine in Development and I have transported my BW development to the QA environment.
In QA my loads don't work anymore.
The reason is that BODI refers to the 'Transfer Structure' of my data sources in BW.
These Transfer Structures have a different suffix in each SAP system (DEV, QA, PROD).
To have different suffixes for Transfer Structures is a standard SAP BW behaviour.
I was expecting SAP would use the unique combination Source System / Datasource as identifier for the target of a dataflow, not transfer structure.
I assume there is a work around for this, but I can not think of anything except either
- reconfigure the SAP BW implementation or
- re-develop my BODI DF's for each environment
Both options are high risk and will take a lot of extra work.
I have raised a SAP service message, because I think this is not working correctly, but I was wondering if anybody has dealt with this and knows an easy work-around?

THe only tricky thing is the configuration of the BW publisher. But you can find enough information about this in the referenced posting. Calling a Smartform from different driver programs

Hi everyone,
I have two driver programs and from both these programs i'm calling the same Smartform.
I have a field in smartform. and i want it to be printed for one program but not printed when the
smartform is called from the second program.
Pls. can anyone help me out about how this can be achieved.

Create an import parameter (flag) in your smartform interface and when you call your smartform from one of these drivers pass assume 'X' value to this flag. And add a condition for the field you want to hide. like below.
if flag = 'X'
show or don't show.
endif.

Abstract method which when implemented will have different parameters

Hello to all,
I have an assignment but not looking for someone to do it for me. I am only searching for a suggestion on how to do the following.
Imagine having an application that needs to provide an estimate of the rent for different buildings.
Basically I start with by having a class name Building. This class has an abstract method called estimateRent.
I then create two classes that extend the class Building which are named Apartment and House. Both need to have the method estimateRent.
However the problem is that the rent for the Apartment is calculated on the nights passed in the flat and the people in it, while the rent for the House is just calculated on a month bases.
This means the estimateRent method requires to have different parameters depending if it is implemented inside the Apartment class or the House class.
Now I only know of two options.
The first option is to not declare the estimateRent method as an abstract method inside the Building class and just implemented inside the Apartment and House with different parameters. I do not like this option since in the future if a new Building comes in then I would like to impose the fact that that object needs to have a calculate method.
The second option is to make the estimateRent method as abstract inside the Building class however takes a parameter of either a String array or else a Map. Then the estimateRent within the Apartment class would search for the elements tagged as nights and people, and the House class would only search for the elements tagged as months!
However do not know if there are any other, better ways on how to do this. I am using Java 1.4 however if you only have answers for Java 5.0 then please post them again since I always like to learn something new :)

The implementation changes, yes.Yes that I could understand in the Strategy Pattern (in the document I read it was being compared with the Template Pattern).
Then you need to refactor your design.I tought about that, however if you read my first post you will notice that I have different criteria on which the costs need to be estimated. While the costs for a flat are estimated on the people staying in and nights slept there, the costs for the house are based only on the months stayed there regardless of the people living in. Now for me I feel that it is bad programming practice to create one method that can have all the parameters required for any scenario. I mean the following is NOT something I am going to do:
estimateCosts(int nights, int people, int months ... etc);
That's not a very elegant way of going about it.
What is the "Context" going to have?Yep I agree, but so far my limited brain has only come up with that! I am open to any other sugestion! always if i understand it first!
Basically the Context would better be named as Criteria and it would be an interface as follows:
interface Criteria{}
Then I would create two classes that implement the Criteria object as follows:
class AppartmentCriteria implements Criteria{
public Result estimateCosts(int nights, int people);
class HouseCriteria implements Criteria{
public Result estimateCosts(int months);
Now when I recieve the inputs, depending on the scenario the Criteria is typecasted and the correct parameters passed and we recieve the Result.
I feel the above sucks since I am not seeing it as an object oriented way of doing this out! Is there any other sugestions! The refactoring thing I am intrested in! however really I can not see how such a call to that method could be refectored!

Unable to compare the same program in different systems

Hi,
We have a Development & QA system (apart from Production). Now for a program that is in both, Dev & QA, I wanted to compare them using SE37. I clicked on "Compare Different Systems" button. Now I selected the program from Dev for Left-Justified & from QA for Right. When I hit the "Display" button, it gave me the following error message:
Error remote access: Error during the retrieval of the logon data store.
Can anyone help me with this?

I went to SM59 & double clicked on my RFC (that I thought would work). It took me to the RFC destination config. screen & it showed me the following message:
User password invalid for identifier /RFC/---- (see long text)
( the dotted lines denote the RFC name )
It's not shown with a red cross mark. It's shown with a Green tick mark. So how do I correct this now & be able to compare the proram? Please let me know.

Same configuration systems have different device addresses

The problem we have is that identically configured systems are sometimes
assigning different device numbers when the systems are booted. Each
individual system always assigns the same device numbers - what puzzles us is that
different systems, although configured identically, assign different device numbers.
More particularly:
Problem Description :
A tester with 4 PXI chassis and 10 PCI cards in an industrial computer
backplane with the same configuration of cards (same instruments in same
slots) on a multi-chassis tester gives different addresses or separate
identical testers under Windows XP. To be clear, this system also has
multiple (10) PCI cards in the industrial computer, as well as the MXI-3
interface to multiple (4) PXI chassis. Under Windows 2000, the device
addressing to all the PCI and PXI cards would remain the same as long as
all the cards were put into the same slots. This problem causes us to
modify our software for each new large industrial tester (called UMATS at
Northrop Grumman).
NI Software : LabVIEW version 8.2.1
NI Hardware : PXI Controllers, Chassis, and MXI device PXI-8330
Driver Version : MXI-3 1.15
OS : Windows XP

I am not sure if this is applicable or not. I uniquely identify the names of the devices via MAX. In the program. I refer to these names. When I have a new setup, I use MAX to configure the various devices on the deploy machine to their respective names (does not matter what order they are placed in). Run my compile code on the machine without any changes to the program.

make seperate appleID's if you wish to be frinds or if you wish to facetime video chat and if you wish to not recieve the samme imessage msg's unless you turn it off
you can still set both your iphones to use an email address even if both have different appleId's
the appleID is a handle not a link to an email address
