Smartforms how to print Table rows on to the next page automatically

SMART forms:
layout : Half of my A4 page is filled with templates, a small portion is footer, the middle portion is Table.
Note: i have set the condition for the footer as (tick the check box) "only after end of main window"
Output:
                   the template is displayed the table is populated on the first page, no footer on 1st page,
                on page 2 the table rows are printed (table rows were a lot) and finally footer got printed every thing as per normal
what i want is:
                 instead of the table lines printed in the middle of page 2 (bcz my main window table is in the middle, top is templates)
                 i want the table lines (after filling the main window table lines in the 1st page) to continue to print from the
                 top of the page on page 2 and immediately after the table rows finish. footer must be printed....
what should i be doing to get this output

yes i have done that already as u said, when i do it......
i created a new page (next page) directed first page to next page
on the next page my layout is like below
removed all the templates dragged the main window to the top of the page......
when i check the result, there is an empty line as the first line in the table (2nd page)
and also the footer (again a template) on the first page, which is ticked as ( print after end of main window) is NOT displaying.

In ADOBE PDF, Design view, for item level data only 7 row or less should appear in first page for following page if rows are greater than 7 if its less than 7 then last row should be on second page. In design page Below Body Row, user details are 'positioned' so they overlap as soon as item level data exceeds 7.
Using a Static PDF, 7.2. I checked with Pagination property of Item level data, its been set to Place:Following previous and After Continue filling parent. Will putting condition using Form Calc would suffice in condition breaks? What would be condition?

How to get header row to flow to next page with table content?

I am setting up a dynamic form with a series of question/answer tables.
Example:
Header (Text): List your accomplishments for the year.
Row 1 (Text Field): Associate types their response to the question above.
If I type enough text in the response that it flows down to a second page, both the header AND the response box drop down to the second page....ultimately leaving a big white space on Page 1. I would like for the header to flow to the next page, but only with the 'extra' text that didn't fit on page 1...not ALL of the text.
Is this possible?

I am doing exactly that. My issues is that, VO attribute is passed correct for the table rows which are fetched from the database. For the table rows which got created through 'Add Another button', the VO attribute passed through URI as {@FdTaskId} is returning null. The VO attribute sets only when a form submit happens. For example, after adding a row through 'Add another row' button, click the same button again to add one more row and now go back to previously added row and now you can see that its VO attribute is set ({@FdTaskId} carries value )

Go to the report layout model and select those items/objects which are not getting display on next page and open the property pallet by pressing F4 key and set the property Print Object On to All Pages then it will display on all pages.

RTF Template: table that goes to the next page

Hi All,
I am building an RTF template.. The basic layout consists of one page only, and there's a table in it. Depending on the data, there can be quite a few rows. For some reason, if the data does not fit on the first page, the entire table shifts onto the second page. However, the table should start on the first page independent of the row count. Once again, your help would be very much appreciated. :)

What you suggest works well when there is only one template row that is repeated... I actually have two template rows in the table, since depending on certain elements in the data row different handling is required. Is it so that I would need to work everything into the same template row to get this row-break-accross-pages-functionality?
The funny thing is that the table breaks properly for page 3, 4, etc (with a longer data), just that it starts only at the second page.

How to Print Blank row in between the lsit of records/rows

My Rtf output is 10 rows with 12 columns in each row, which comes form the SQL query of the RDF. Ii want to display a blank row after 9th row and before 10th row. So it would be 11 rows where 10th row should be blank. So how can i get this done through RTF syntax.
FYI, the o/p should look like below.

As far as I know, if we follow your steps: Page Layout settings > Page Setup > Print title> Sheet>Rows to Repeat at Top, we can set the row labels to every page, please see the below image:
We can see the row labels with page layout mode, but it does not display in Print Preview. Please try to save it as PDF or print it to see the row labels with every page.

How to print grandtotal in table footer only in the last page in SMARTFORMS

Hello Experts,
How do I print the GRANDTOTAL in the table footer only on the LAST PAGE in SMARTFORMS.
What I have done is in the text element of CELL1 of the table footer i wrote the folowing logic but not working.
/: IF &SFSY-PAGE& EQ &SFSY-FORMPAGES&.
* V_SUM.
/: ENDIF.
I even tried this.
/: IF &NEXT-PAGE& EQ 0.
* V_SUM.
/: ENDIF.
but still it displays the grand total on all pages at table footer.
How do i go for this experts.

HI Nambiar,
To print the grand total only on the last page then create the secondary window --> create the text node for the grand total -->In the condition tab check only after the end of the main window.
This grand total will be displayed after all the items and end of the main window.
Footer in the table displays as the subtotals i.e on every page total is displayed..

How to print Table with fixed height?

Hi,
I am developing an invoice. I am printing the invoice lines in a table and the number of lines may vary.
I am using the table to print the lines in word rtf template. The table cells don't have the border.
I am facing the following problems:
1. The table height varies based on the number of invoice lines. I don't want that. I want to fix the table height. I can draw the line and create the table, that may solve this problem for 1 page invoice, but that doesn't solve next issue i.e. issue #2.
2. If the invoice goes beyond 1 page, then the table continues and on the 1st page the table is open from the bottom, as I have table without the internal cell border. I want close the table on the 1st page and rewrite the table in the 2nd page.
Please let me know, if you have any solution for these issues.

How can i see the next page in smartform?

i hav created a Second Page (%page 2) in Smart form.
and in that page i created one Main window and a table.
in 1st page, i defined the Next page as Page2 and
in the second page i defined the Next Page as Page2.
but only the 1st page is displaying. how can i see the next page?
what i want to do in smartform...

Hi,
The second page will be displayed only when the data does not fit in the main window of the first page and continues to the second page.
So make sure that you have enough number of line to print that it overflows to second page.

How do you get a table to flow onto the second page?

Since upgrading to Yosemite, I cannot figure out how to get my table to continue on to the second page. If you look at my screenshot, you can see that my table was so big so the whole thing was moved to the next page. I want it to remain on the 1st page and have additional rows continue on to the second page. In the previous version of pages, the column titles would also appear on the second page. Thank you very much for your help.

Go to View > Show Invisibles (Shift+Command+I).
This will display Paragraph marks (¶) at the end of each paragraph.
Delete the paragraph mark (¶) that is at the end of the paragraph before the table, i.e. just between the table and the paragraph.
This will bring the table surely just beneath the paragraph (text), I suppose.

How to dynamically give the next page in Smartform

I have to give the LAST Page dynamically in Smartform. That only the last page the size of the main Window is shorter in length.
So on Second Last page I want to dynamically give the Next Page as LAST Page.

Hi Nitin,
I am unable to get your requirement clearly but I can help you how to call a page dynamically.
In the First Page, where you want to call the Last Page dynamically after displaying all the contents, right click and create a <b>COMMAND</b> node. In the General Attributes of the command selec the check box for Go to New page and select the page from the dropdrown.
First page
   Main Window
         Table Contents
         Command
Now, after the executing the contents of the First page when the control encounters the command node it dynamically goes to the Page you have mentioned in the command node.

How do I create a 1d array that takes a single calculation and insert the result into the first row and then the next calculation the next time the loop passes that point and puts the results in thsecond row and so on until the loop is exited.

The attached file is work inprogress, with some dummy data sp that I can test it out without having to connect to equipment.
The second tab is the one that I am having the problem with. the output array from the replace element appears to be starting at the index position of 1 rather than 0 but that is ok it is still show that the new data is placed in incrementing element locations. However the main array that I am trying to build that is suppose to take each new calculation and place it in the next index(row) does not ap
pear to be working or at least I am not getting any indication on the inidcator.
Basically what I am attempting to do is is gather some pulses from adevice for a minute, place the results for a calculation, so that it displays then do the same again the next minute, but put these result in the next row and so on until the specifiied time has expired and the loop exits. I need to have all results displayed and keep building the array(display until, the end of the test)Eventually I will have to include a min max section that displays the min and max values calculated, but that should be easy with the min max function.Actually I thought this should have been easy but, I gues I can not see the forest through the trees. Can any one help to slear this up for me.

I didn't really have time to dig in and understand your program in depth,
but I have a few tips for you that might things a bit easier:
- You use local variables excessively which really complicates things. Try
not to use them and it will make your life easier.
- If you flowchart the design (very similar to a dataflow diagram, keep in
mind!) you want to gather data, calculate a value from that data, store the
calculation in an array, and loop while the time is in a certain range. So
theres really not much need for a sequence as long as you get rid of the
local variables (sequences also complicate things)
- You loop again if timepassed+1 is still less than some constant. Rather
than messing with locals it seems so much easier to use a shiftregister (if
absolutely necessary) or in this case base it upon the number of iterations
of the loop. In this case it looks like "time passed" is the same thing as
the number of loop iterations, but I didn't check closely. There's an i
terminal in your whileloop to read for the number of iterations.
- After having simplified your design by eliminating unnecessary sequence
and local variables, you should be able to draw out the labview diagram.
Don't try to use the "insert into array" vis since theres no need. Each
iteration of your loop calculates a number which goes into the next position
of the array right? Pass your result outside the loop, and enable indexing
on the terminal so Labview automatically generates the array for you. If
your calculation is a function of previous data, then use a shift register
to keep previous values around.
I wish you luck. Post again if you have any questions. Without a more
detailed understanding of your task at hand it's kind of hard to post actual
code suggestions for you.

How to split table in the report so it shows on the next page? Im trying to fit long (many columns) table into my report page. It is too long however. I want it to wrap and show the rest on the next page. What I get now is table cut at the page end and rest is not visible.

Yes, this might be that the amount of data will cause table to grow and exceed 1, 2, 3.. pages. In that case I would probably want to have, lets say , one half of columns on 1st page then the other on the 2nd page and then repeatedly the same sequence down across all pages. Is there a way to achieve this?
