Is it true that Smartforms was replaced with this new Java based Adobe version in SAP Ver 5.0?
Can anyone send me a link for more information of Java based Adobe Version or any weblog if present??

information on the Interactive Forms solution is available in SDN at http://sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/adobeforms and in SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/adobe.
While the rendering engine of Interactive Forms is Java-based, high-volume printing is still done from ABAP in transaction SFP (similar to TA SMARTFORMS). The new features are in the interactive use of PDFs.

Hello. Could you please help me in find out any specification/known limitations in using Java-based applications through WebVPN in Cisco ASA 5520 v8.3(2).
A customer of mine has got in trouble in using a Java viewer for graphical files that is invoked by another application (this one correctly served via WebVPN), that cannot be launched because JVM does not find it (NullPointer).

2-java clients communicate with java based web-service

I'm new 2 web-services.
I need to create 2-java clients(a game like chess) & communicate them through a java based web-service.
I can create the web service.(using Netbeans getting started tutorial.only the basic stuff)
when we create the 2-clients are those should be web-clients or are they should be normal java

Problem with java based Web Services in ADF-.

I have developed a Web service based on the Java class generated through Business components. Steps are as below:-
1)     Created a Read only View Object with EmpDeptViewObj name and has following query:-

Problem here is I am unable to return multiple columns to the xml generated. And only getEmpDetailsAsString and getEmpDetailsAsRowImplObj. And getEmpDetailsBasedOnBean method is not even getting published in end point.
Please help me to solve this problem.

Dynamic REPLACE with java.nio.CharsetEncoder

Hi,
I want to write an XML generator. Depending on the Charset,
I have to replace certain characters (for example > 255 in
case of ISO-8859-1) with &#dddd; (dddd being the numeric
value of the character).
It seems that CodingErrorAction.REPLACE would be well suited
for that, but it can only replace static strings and not
dynamically generated strings.
Am I missing something? Or any suggestions how to use the
CharsetEncoder anyways?

SSO from portal to Java based web application not happening

Hi,
We are trying to configure SSO from SAP Enterprise portal with Java based
web application(Solaris on SPARC 64 bit).
Then we downloaded library files for "Solaris on SPARC 64 bit" from
service market place from the path "Support Packages and Patches"
Additional Components" SAPSSOEXT".
We are successful in sending the portal side cookie to the application.
But while loading the library files we get the following error

Also do we require to take"SAPSECULIB" from Support Packages and Patches" ...>Additional Components" ...>SAPSECULIB" ...>SAPSECULIB 5.4 for this SSO activity.
Please get back on this ASAP as we are nearing the golive date.

CTI integration with Non-Java based Webclient

I need any documentation concerning the implementation/ configuration of the ICI/BCB with the IC Webclinet installed on a ABAP Stack (non-java version). All info seems to be based on Java based Webclient.

I had a OSS ticket created and from that, what i could understand was that the ICI/BCB version is linked to the version of the CRM software and the associated ABAP Stack. For example CRM 2007 has the ICI version 3.05 but what you get when you put http://javahost:javaport/bcb is the Java stacks ICI system information. WHich will be like 3.00. And I was asked to ignore that java info.
What I heard is that the abap stack is the one implements the ICI/BCB Version and from CRM's version you know the ici version behind. But I did not get any mapping of "CRM version to ICI"from the OSS though.

Fonts are replaced with Adobe Sans in PDF

Receive PDF files from a client every month, 3 of the fonts in the file (Fortis Helvetica Bold, Fortis Helvetica Light Bold, and Fortis Helvetica Light) are not embedded. Fonts have been supplied and are installed in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Resource\Font folders.
This has been working fine for over a year, all fonts load up in acobat, but for some reason now, the font "Fortis Helvetica Bold" is not loading up in Acrobat and is being replaced with Adobe Sans.
Any help would be appreciated.

It may also be that they have changed to a different version of the font. Just because it has the same name as one on your system does not mean they are compatible. In reality, your customer should embed all fonts. Have them change to a press or print job settings file and that should resolve the problem by embedding the fonts.

Issues in creating Java based web services with JAXB 1.0 in Jdeveloper 10 g

I am trying out a simple java based web service creation exercise using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3.0.3 and JAXB 1.0. Here is what I am trying to do.
1. I have a XSD file called Status.xsd, which has three complex types in it.
2. Using Jdeveloper Tools --> JAXB Compilation, I have created Jaxb classes for the above XSD files. For each of the complex type the jaxb class generator generated on IMPL clas and one abstract class.
3. Now I have created one simple java class called Class1.java and created one method that takes the StatusImpl as input and as output for that method. Here is the code for Class1.java

It looks like when the runtime deployment classes are trying to instantiate the abstract classes instead of the impl class. and for all the complex types they trow that error and the web service could not be even invoked.

Lightroom has no activation check so you don't need to do anything to your computer. Your old copy of Photoshop must be deactivated / uninstalled if you haven't already done so.

Replace With feature error in Adobe XI Pro

I get the following error when trying to use the Replace With feature: "Unable to highlight text across multiple text boxes."
I'm attempting to replace one term with another throughout a 38-page text document.
I'm new to XI Pro, so maybe there's a setting I need to make, but I'm not sure. As a copy editor, the main reason I wanted to use XI was for this search and replace feature. If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help.

I don't think you have the XI version or have read about its latest features. The replace feature is one of the things Adobe touts with the XI version for the very purpose of editing. For example, I just lifted this from Adobe's main page (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/editing-pdf-documents.html) on XI:
NEW Find and replace text
In one step, you can find and update every instance of a word or phrase throughout an entire PDF.
Editing PDFs has been one of the things missing in the past and from the Adobe site, it seems they are trying to improve on that with XI as stated on this page: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-editor-pdf-files.html.

When I pull up a document in Adobe Reader the apostrophe is replaced with ' How do you fix this?

When I pull up a document in Adobe Reader from Oracle CRM the apostrophe is replaced with ' For example: ( PRICE 870-22' ) It should be ( PRICE 870-22' ). I can pull this up through HTML and it works fine.

Ok, there are two main possibilities.
1. It is an error in Oracle's PDF generator.
2. The data is stored in this form in the database.
My money is on the second choice, especially as you say "it is OK in HTML". &#39 is HTML coding for apostrophe.
Try doing a query of the data which doesn't involve HTML display, to check this out.
