Hi EdLander
BT Mobile and Virgin both use the EE network. I got this info from the BT mobile tech team so I'm presuming it is correct, have you tried with the number I posted?

  • Message Centre Number on N96.....

I have recently bought a new N96 on a vodafone contract, and as i was previously on 02 i had to wait a few days for them to transfer my number over.... My number then got transfered over yesterday and i then went to send a text message and it asked for my message centre number which i didnt know at the time so i just put in my mobile number as i didnt have a clue what the message centre number was... I have just got my message centre number from someone over the phone but i keep trying to change it and it just comes up with the message "unable to change settings. Value read from SIM card" can anyone give me any assistance on how to get this properly working...
Cus i've now got a new phone and cant send any texts on it.
    Cheers

Vodafone UK : SMS Service Centre number: +447785016005.
This number is used to configure your phone for sending text messages.
    For other countries:
    http://www.smsfre.com/SMS-Mesaging-Centers.htm
Before that reset ur phone to default factory settings........
*#7780# with default code 12345 but do make a back up
second option: try to create a new message centre number.
    messaging->options->text message->message centres->options->new message centre
enter the correct information, then go back to textmessage->message centre in use. and choose the new message centre.
last option left which is to head to the vodafone shop, they will help you configure the phone or change the sim card for you.

  • What is my message centre number!!!????!!!

Nowhere does it mention what my message centre number is. Is it my own phone number or something else? I just want to send simple sms text messages and it seems impossible with this e70.

Call your network provider customer services and they should be able to tell you the service centre number
You can also have a look on your providers website. I'm on O2 and I know they have a sevice where they will send your the settings over the air from the website
Also, if you have a settings wizard in your phone and you work through that (about 1 min), that will set up your sms, mms settings.
I have an N80, so I am not familliar with E70 but it should similar...

  • The service centre cheating and insulting me as a costomer

Sir, I bought a Sony Xperia ZL mobile handset from M/s Sony Centre, Kottayam, Kerala on 4 October 2013. After a mere 14 months of use, the phone developed complaints and I gave it at M/s Madona Care, the authorised service centre of Sony at Kottayam. I thought that it was just a software complaint. But the service centre told me that the phone was not repairable. They also told me that the company would give me some offers, so that my phone can be replaced. Their offer was that they would give me another phone, if I gave them 1/3 of the price of the handset. Accordingly I surrendered my ZL phone and remitted an advance of Rs.5000/- to them. After three weeks, I was informed that the replacement was ready and that I could accept it after remitting the balance amount of Rs.4240/-. So I got a replacement phone after remitting a total amount of Rs.9240/-. When I asked about the warranty, they told me that, in case the phone developed any complaints, I could approach them with the invoice given to me. After six months, the replacement phone also developed complaints and I approached the service centre with the invoice. When I contacted them after a week, I was informed that the complaint was not repairable and another replacement would be given within a week. When I contacted them after a week, they told me that approval was not received from the Company and that everything would be ok soon. When I contacted them next time, they asked me to contact the service manager and gave me the phone number of one Mr. Vinod. When contacted, he told me that the company was reminded about my issue and that the problem would be sorted out soon. Again I contacted him after two days, and was told that a complaint had been lodged to the company for getting warranty. I also got an SMS to this effect. When I called him again after two days, I was told that the set had no warranty. Actually, if they had not offered any warranty, shouldn’t they have repaired my set then and there?. If there was no warranty, why did they resubmit my issues to the company? I believe that, if one checks the emails sent by the service centre, one can get evidence that my set had been offered warranty. What I had narrated above is absolutely true. It is gross injustice that a world- famous company is treating a customer like this. Actually I was cheated by the authorised service centre of Sony. What I spent during last one and a half years for a phone is nearly Rs.40,000/- I request you to do the needful to redress my grievance and to remedy for the hardships I faced both financially and mentally. You may please take action to at least replace the phone as agreed by the service centre. You are also requested to take appropriate steps against the service centre for cheating and insulting a customer. Expecting a speedy response and settlement from your end, Yours faithfully K. Manoj mob +919447506830 Punnasseril Chirakkadavu Centre kottayam kerala india pin 68659

You could do this on your own.
But dude i m not sure if changing ram voids warranty.

  • Can't send text messages (can only recieve). How do I change Service Center Number

Hello. As my subject states, i can't seem to send text messages (but i can receive them). I'm told by my carrier that i need to change my service center number (and they provided it). I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. I keep seeing posts saying "On your device: Options > SMS > Service Center." but "service center" does not appear when i go to options>SMS text. I see the following; screen options conversation style: show names: message options priority: callback number: disable autotext: so my question is;, where do i find this?

So The Serial Number W80201QNATN is from your original invoice when you first bought the MBP. The same serial number is on the body of the MBP. The same serial number shows up in System Profiler when you start the MBP.
That all matches with the information given from one of the links I posted earlier. It fits your MBP perfectly:
    Serial number: W80201QNATN
Name: MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 13 inch)
    Group1: MacBook
    Group2: Pro
    Generation: 71

    Machine Model: MacBookPro7,1
    Model introduced: 2010
    Production year: 2010
    Production week: 20  (May)
Production number: 1994 (within this week)
    introduced test: 2010 (0) 1
    introduced test: GOED

    Screen size: 13 inch
    Screen resolution: 1280x800 pixels

Now this is a serial number you provided earlier: 34031968Atm Where does this come from?

  • Skype SMS service is unsatisfactory

To those of you who consider using Skype SMS service I would just like to say, - Consider it twice.
There is only one positive thing about sending SMS Text messages in Skype and that is the fact that it is normally cheaper than sending SMS text messages through your mobile phone provider.
But my experience with Skype SMS is not so good.
When I send SMS messages directly from my phone to the Philippines they normally arrive within minutes. I know that for a fact because sometimes I have been chatting in YM or facebook with the counterpart that I just send the text message to, and they confirmed that it was deliverede not later than 1 or 2 minutes after I send it.
On the other hand when I send SMS Text messages via Skype to the Phillipines, sometimes it takes 1/2 a day before the message is delivered.
I know that the official statement of SKYPE is that its because of the recipients phone company in the country where you send the SMS message - but that does not change the fact that sending a text message on your phone only takes 1 or 2 minutes to arrive in the Phillipines and via Skype it can take up to 1/2 a day or even more.

  • UK Nokia Service Centre

I have phoned the 4 nearest Nokia service centres (up to 50 miles away!) and NONE of them say they can do the firmware upgrade on the Nokia N70, the excuses are either they don't have the hardware or don't have the firmware file. What is going on? How far am I supposed to travel to get my Nokia serviced?

    Hi Guys!
If you get stuck for a Service Point in your area, you can visit this page: Service Point Locator. Now I know many of you will have already looked here, I posted the page because there is a link there that opens a pop up containing instructions for a Freepost repair Service.
Basically, the Freepost service details can be found here: Freepost service. If you fill out the form and post the phone off they will be able to take a look for you.
There is a phone number listed there, it would be a good idea for anyone using this service to give them a quick ring prior to sending the phone just so they know its coming. Also, you will need to print out the returns form.
    Cheers

  • Playbook Service Centre in NOIDA

I had purchased a Playbook in Jan 3, 2012. Ever since it has stayed at Bangalore service centre for more time than with me, for some problem or other. Recently, the playbook was replaced with another machine, but it won't boot up. The message I am getting is - Could not activate this tablet (132353)
Meanwhile, the authorised  service centre in NOIDA (near delhi)  got changed and HCL INFOSYSTEM is the new service provider. They say that they don't have the necessary software.
    1) Where do I go now  and how my playbook can be attended to?
    2) What is the meaning of the error message? How it can be resolved, before warrenty period lapses?

  • Service centre for instant repair

    Hi
I have a minor hardware problem with my handset that at times the speaker works and at times it doesn't when I make or receive any call. I guess the speaker jack must have got some problem.
I went to the nearby service centre at Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura, Delhi, India. But the person there told me that I have to leave the phone for almost a week as they don't open the phone there and will send it to company.
I can't work without my phone and can't afford to leave it for a week. Can somebody tell me some service centre details where I can get it repaired instantly or at max within 2 days.
I tried calling on the customer care toll free number also which was provided to me by that service centre. But nobody answers the call?
    Thanks

  • Message Centre Number? (6280, o2)

Turned on my phone, the 6280, this morning to find that the message centre number has been forgotten / deleted so it won't let me send any messages.
    Does anyone have this number?
Do I have to ring Nokia? Ugh...
    All help greatly appreciated!

Easiest way to solve this is to ring o2 - if they are anything like Orange they will then send you a SIM update which will then put the SMS/MMS settings back for you as they should of been set up as default.
Alternatively they may just give you the number to put in, but either way I would suggest for you to contact o2, as Nokia will probably not have that information (although another Nokia 6280 user on o2 in the UK may have this number on here to give to you).
    Regards,

  • Pathetic service at HCL Touch,Andheri(E),Mumbai Certified customer service centre of Lenovo

I brought my Lenovo K900 32 GB smartphone from amazon on 30th March 2014 & it got delivered to me on 1st April 2014.Though the phone was in good working condition, I noticed that the battery of the phone used to drain out extremely quickly i.e. it would take 3 hours to charge the phone & the battery would drain out in 5 hours;even on standby. When I contacted Amazon, they were ready to refund me the amount; but till a certain date.So I thought, rather than returning a brand new phone, it would be better to replace the battery from a certified lenovo service centre. So after contacting them through phone and mail, they gave me the address of 4 service centres in Mumbai. I selected HCL Touch centre in Andheri (East) as it is nearest to my residence in Dahisar. When I submitted my phone to them, the lady on the counter said that if there is a software fault, it would take 2 days & for hardware fault i.e. faulty battery( she said 'faulty battery'specifically) it would take 10 days & also asked me to check the status of my phone by contacting them after 2 days.I submitted my phone there on 8th April 2014.When I called them on 11th April, they informed me that my phone was ready for pick-up. On 12th April,2014, I went with my dad to the above-mentioned service centre. Firstly, they almost made us wait an hour to get back the phone. On receiving the phone, I requested them to charge it because I wanted to make sure that the battery drain problem was solved . While charging the phone, I chanced to check the software update done to my phone & found that the phone which was given to me was a 16 GB one & not the 32 GB one.But the back panel was of my phone as I had not removed the sticker on which my IMEI Number was written. Further I realized that the phone had a scratch guard put up on it, which appeared to be very old and full of scratches as well as the ends of the camera were also filled with scratched whereas my phone had no scratch guard & was free of any scratches as it was only a-week old.I further checked the IMEI no. of the phone by typing *#06# & to my horror, the number was totally different!!! When I told the lady on the counter that this phone is not mine, she was not ready to accept it & gave it again inside;on the pretext of getting it checked. After half an hour, they made me talk to an engineer who says that they have replaced the motherboard of my phone with a 16 GB one as 32GB was not available!!! IF I WANT,he says, then I can keep that phone for 10 days & come back again when the new motherboard arrives.Utterly confused, I told him to talk to my dad; who the shouted on them & asked how they could exchange the motherboard of my phone, firstly, without asking & secondly when the problem was of the battery & not of the phone's motherboard. The engineer, out of fear, cut-off the call then & there itself.Till then, the lady on the counter went off-duty & a new guy came in. He again tried to give us the same piece ;saying to come after 10 days. My father then asked to meet the manager of the service centre. He did not come, but sent his assistant; who was extremely arrogant and adamantly denied the fact that my phone had been replaced by an old piece. On the contrary, he started saying that they would either replace the motherboard again with a 32 GB one or give a certain certificate through which I can get my phone exchanged from the shop from where I had bought it. But, since I had brought it online,I told him that the date for refund was over & I would not be eligible. On hearing that, he says that IT IS MY PROBLEM & NOT HIS THAT THE DATE IS OVER.On hearing his reply, my father retorted him by saying  he wants the motherboard to be replaced with the original faulty one, the one with our IMEI No.The assistant went inside with a huff & comes out again after 45- minutes ,repeating the same story of replacing the motherboard on an alreay-old-and-replaced-phone with a new 32GB one. When asked about the old motherboard, he says that it has been returned back to china!!! Exasperated & extremely frustrated, I finally scolded him that first of all, they have replaced my brand new phone & given it to someone else or misplaced it; and on the contrary, they are not ready to admit their mistake & are making us feel as if we have done something wrong. Why should we run from pillar to post just because of their stupidity & carelessness. My father also warned him that he'll be dragged to the consumer court if they do not accept their fault. Finally, he relented & said it was their mistake & says to come back on Wednesday, 16th April 2014;saying that they would provide me with a new piece. But looking at their outlook, arrogance & lousy work, I'm not at all optimistic of getting my phone back.Did not expect this from lenovo, have completely wasted my money.

  • Is there a way of finding out what has been accessed on my MacBook Pro whilst in the possession of an apple authorised service centre?

    Hi Guys,
I'm a bit new to this discussion group thing although I've been using Macintosh computers for many years (showing my age).
I handed my MacBook Pro to be repaired at an authorised apple service centre. When I handed it in they said they needed to keep hold of it to run some diagnostics and requested my password. I've owned various models of mac for the the past 17 years and this is the first hardware problem I have encountered, hence I have never bothered to set up user accounts.
As I live in quite a remote part of Sweden I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web. Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
    Thanks!
PS: I've already thought about the 'recently opened' menu and The machine in question is a MacBook Pro 17" (2011) running OS X 10.6.8 (need Rosetta).

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?
    Have you lost your mind?
Is there a way of finding out what activity has taken place whilst they've had it in their possession?
No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.
The employer won't ask that sort of questions without solid proof, less they make a enemy of the employee and/or risk being sued for defamation of character.
It's not like they bother to have a team of people watching over his shoulder that he doesn't stick a USB thumb drive of your data into his pocket to take home.
I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks)
If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.
I appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.
