SMTP Suspicious Remote Server Error

This could happen if the receiving end is using grey listing. Check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greylisting for details. Grey listing usually affects just first message. Once the IP is white listed, the messages get delivered right away.
Check with the recipient to see if this feature is enabled on their end.

Hello,
We have started seeing random email being delayed by two hours and the headers show the following error:
DEFER Reason: 451 4.4.0 SMTPSEND.SuspiciousRemoteServerError; remote server disconnected abruptly; retry will be delayed.
We are using Exchange/Outlook online protection and the issue is occuring between that service and our SPAM filter.
There is a router and a firewall in the path but neither is doing anything but passing the SMTP traffic. (No shaping in use).
The SPAM software uses Microsoft SMTP services (IIS 6) running on Windows 2003.
Has anyone seen this type of behavior before? Any clues as to what might be causing it?

i think this has to do with the "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service".
If you don't need the service than try to stop it:
Start Central Administration > Operations > Services and stop the service.
or
If you need it the service, try this:
Start Central Administration > Operations > Service Account
Change the service account to "Document Conversions Load Balancer Service" And Select a "Network Services" Click Save

Screen shrinks; Remote server error message

When Users other than me log on they get an error message after a few minutes. The screen shrinks to the upper left hand corner and red text appears in the center of the screen: "Unable to connect to remote server. Please ensure main computer is running and within the same local area network. Click to continue". I cannot figure out where this message is coming from. I do not connect to any remote servers, I have sharing off, and firewalls on. It only occurs for my non-administrator users.
Any ideas what is triggering this message?

"Could not locate remote server" Error Message

I had to reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 after a virus destroyed my system. Now, when I open Editor (from "Full Edit" in Organizer), I get the following error message:
"Could not locate remote server
http:///???%12?%C3%AF???????????????%12?%12?g"
This problem did not exist before the reinstall. What can I do to stop this error message from being triggered?

Returning Rowset From Remote Server Error

I'm currently trying to pass a rowset back to my client application via RMI. I keep getting a "java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling return; nested exception is: java.io.EOFException" message. It works fine if I pass a String object. I can pass a rowset if I use localhost rather than my remote server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had this very same problem. The problem is that ResultSet (from java.sql.*) is not Serializable, and cannot be marshalled via RMI (i.e. sent back down the pipe). String, int and Boolean all work. RowSet is abstract and cannot be initialised. The best subclass of RowSet I've found is CachedRowSetImpl, which inherits all the standard RowSet attributes and methods.
You will need to download the JAR containing "com.sun.rowset" from here:
http://java.sun.com/developer/earlyAccess/jdbc/jdbc-rowset.html
... then take the "rowset.jar" file and place it somewhere your IDE can find it (I placed mine here: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_01\jre\lib\ext). Under NetBeans, you can enter the Platform Manager (Tools) and force NetBeans to see it. Then the command:
import com.sun.rowset.*;
...will allow you to create CachedRowSetImpl objects with the simple constructor:
CachedRowSetImpl myCRS = new CachedRowSetImpl( );
You can populate a CRS with the command:
myCRS.populate(existingResultSet);

Remote Server Error

Whenever I connect to the remote server I receive a error message, "Cannot display the server folder: ..." Does anyone know how to resolve this error? Is it a issue with WebDAV, the Server, and/or Dreamweaver?

I am unable to access Reports and Analytics . It throws a Error 500 -Internal Server Error when I click on browse catelog button on Reports and Analytics in Fusion
I have all the required roles and also BIADMINISTRATOR ACCESS still I am unable to login to Reports and Analytics. I have cleared the cache also.
My collegue who has the same roles is able to access it.

SSRS 2008 - Unable to connect to remote server

Win2k3 R2 SP2/SQL Server 2008 instance with SSRS/Visual Studio 2008
I installed SQL 2008 and SSRS with native mode default configuration.
All SQL 2008 services are running under "NT Authority\Network Service" account.
When i try to deploy a new report, I get the "Unable to connect to remote server" error.
The deploy operation creates empty folders on the web server (hosted by the SQL Server 2008 service)
for e.g.
my instance name is <machinename>$sql2008. i configured the WebService URL and the Reports Manager URL to port 85
the deploy from VS creates ssrs2008Test folder and a Shared Data Sources folder in the following virtual directory
- Report Manager URL: http://<machinename>:85/Reports_SQL2008/
- Web Service URL: http://<machinename>:85/ReportServer_SQL2008
however these folders are empty w/ no .rdl or .rds file. and i get the "Unable to connect to remote server" error in Visual Studio 2008 when i deploy it.
is there something else i have to tweak in either the SQL Server/SSRS Configuration Manager or the Windows Server Settings(like port settings or group policy) to get the reports to work?

Remote server cannont connect to this machine

I'm using datasockets in Labview 8.5 (Evaluation copy) to develop an OPC client application
to connect with a remote OPC server running Kepware. I've tried a number of different
ways with no luck. When I try to connect using front panel connections, I get the remote server
error cannot connect to this machine (check local permissions), but in the event log, the logon
audit is a success. So I'm not sure what permissions need to be changed. So far I have changed
DCOM security settings to allow Network user, the name of the OPC server, anonymous, everyone, access
permission for both local and remote and the same in launch and activation permissions.
I've tried using the NI OPC Client example and I just get an error 42, generic error. I have spent my wheels
with this one and no prevail. I downloaded the OPC Quick Client from Kepware, which I can use to connect
to the OPC server, but I do get a Failed to connect to 2.0 data access for group ...., but it still displays the
values once the items are selected. NI Server Explorer works just fine and Iconics also. Has anyone run
into this problem before and how did you fix.

Typically if the Kepware OPc Quick Client cannot connect to the Kepware OPC Server there are possibly more than DCOM issues involved. The first thing that comes to mind is that the OPCproxy.dll and OPCcomn_PS.dll on the 2 PC's are out of Sequence. You can easily verify the versions on each PC.This files should be located in the system32 folder.
The next thing we usually check is that Ole32.dll and OleAut32.dll are properly registered on both PC's.
To do this, go to the command prompt.
Tyep regsvr32 ole32.dll
A dialog box should appear saying: DllRegisterServer in ole32.dll succeeded.
Click OK.
Now type regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
A dialog box should appear saying: DllRegisterServer in oleaut32.dll succeeded.
Click OK and type exit to close the command prompt window.
Reboot and try to connect to the server again.
Remember these files need to be properly registerd on both PC's.
If that does not work then you can always go the rout of opening DCOM as wide as possible. Things to consider are as follows.
COM/DCOM, which is what OPC uses as a core technology, does not work well, and usually not at all, across multiple domains.
It is intended for use in Domains which have a central Access Control List. If you are using a WG(WorkGroup) or WG to Domain or Domain WG you need to make sure the OPC users in the Domain are built into the local security account of the WG PC(s).
To open security wide, which should only be done on a secure network, You need to have System and Everyone with Launch and access permissions on all PC's involved in the OPC connection. You should set this at the computer level and not the application level.
We have found that for reasons only known to Microsoft we sometimes need to set Local Securty Policies. Specifically we see a need to sometimes Enable "Network Access: Let everyone permissions apply to anonymous users" and set "Network Access: Sharing and Security Model for local accounts" to "classic - local users authenticate as themselves".
With recent Microsoft security patches we have seen in some cases a need to add Network Users for Access and Launch Permissions.
If you have a secure network you can also add Domain Admins and Domain users.
Once you have achieved an OPC connection and transfer of data between KepserverEx and you OPC clients you can then start to restrict DCOM permissions again.

I am creating many site collections reading records from sharepoint list using powershell in sharepoint online tenant (office 365).
Few site collections are created and then getting above error so this error record will be skipped then few succeeding record processed then again getting error.

Error message in Putting a file to remote server

Hi:
Although I am able to connect to the remote server, I am receiving the following error message when "putting" a file:
An FTP error occurred - cannot put prices.php. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem. Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.
I was able to accomplish the task using a different FTP client. I am using a new installation of CS5.5
Any ideas as to solving the problem? Thanks!

Hi Murray:
That field is blank, as it should be. Host is GoDaddy, as it is with many of my clients. Tried a test with another site, and it "put" OK.
I tried uploading a fresh test file to my remote, and it was also refused. WS_FTP works fine.
Rather weird, that's all. I did some more reading, and I see that there are other recent Forum questions with occurances similar to mine. Maybe Adobe will fix it soon,
