Snippets not showing

I just recently replaced my computer and I'm trying to display my library of snippets in Homesite but the only snippets that show are the Dreamweaver Snippets.  I've copied my snippets from my old computer into the following location on my new computer:  C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Homesite+\UserData\Snippets.  The Folder for Snippets in Homesite > Options > Settings > Locations is set to the same location.  What am I missing?

I found that if you modify your registry settings that you will be able
to re-dock the snippets.
BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE ATTEMPING THIS!!!!
I have had the same issue and found that this is the only tab that has no clear cut way of docking in Homesite.
I looked at the registry and compared it to the tabs and here is what I came up with:
Path = HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Macromedia>Homesite+>Docking>frmDockSnippets
Here is what should be in there:
(Default)               REG_Z     (value not set)
AlwaysOnTop       REG_Z     1
DockHost             REG_Z     AllaireTabDockForm0
DockTab              REG_Z     0
Floating               REG_Z      0
PageIndex           REG_Z          5 (note this has to be a number not already in use, be sure to check your other tabs and then use the next available)
Position               REG_Z      0,0,434,979 (note all tabs will have the same value, depending on your set up my numbers may or may not match yours                                                       but  be sure to check the other tabs and use those values)
Visible                REG_Z     1
I hope this helps, I could not find an answer anywhere and found that this worked for me.

  • HTML Snippets not showing on online site.

    Hi, I really hope someone can help me. Basically my Html snippets/widgets are not appearing on my online website. They are there when i publish to my desktop but as soon as i publish it online they disappear?..I can however see them in the public html content file but they seem to be in a widget html file of their own and not part of the main html page source file.
    Is this why i can't see them?..Do i need to move the html widget file to view it as part of the page.
    All suggestions welcome..MAny thanks.
    Ali

    Thanks, I did need to do what you suggested and it has me half way there. The only thing is now the graphics of the html button i created are not showing only the 'text of the paypal link' where the button should be, the link works, it's just the buttons not there..
    Anymore suggests please.
    Thanks,
    Ali

  • Snippets not showing in Panel on Dreamweaver 8

    I have a user who had an issue with malware last week and I had to re-config his site settings. Now his snippets are not showing in the panel. The default built in snippets are there. I have another user who has only the custom snippets showing and I tried to recreate it for the user who is having problems , but I can't seem to get it to work. What I did was show hidden files then went to Doc's and Settings, user profile, app data, macromedia, configuration, snippets. There are a bunch of custom snippets there they just don't show up in the panel. I copied the snippets folder to my USB stick and deleted the folder. I re-launched Dreamweaver and the default snippets were there. When I delete the folder again and copy the snippets back from my USB it's the same thing again. I'm not sure how to get Dreamweaver to display the users snippets in the panel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Instead of just deleing the snippets folder, try recreating the configuration folder itself, to bring it all back to default.  The old one will be backed up automatically when you restart Dreamweaver.  Then try and install the snippets.

  • Jsp snippet not showing whole value of double

    I'm displaying a value as a double and only one digit after the decimal is showing up if the second digit is a 0. For example, the double 25.50 is showing up as 25.5.
    Does anyone know a good solution to this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    The problem is you are trying to use a query string
    with the POST method.
    You should either
    (a) change your <form> tag to use the "get" method:
    <form name="c1" action="<%=base%>?action=create22" METHOD="get">
    or
    (b) remove the query string and add a hidden input
    <form name="c1" action="<%=base%> METHOD="post">
    <input type="hidden" name="action" value="create22">

  • HTML Snippet customized paypal buttons not showing correctly when published

    Hi, My customized paypal buttons that i but on my iweb site using html snippets are not displaying correctly. They work in Opera but not in firefox or safari. Please take a look and tell me what you think might be wrong. (all the links are working it's just not showing the graphics correctly (apart from in Opera)
    http://www.alisonbrent.com/ShopTableLamps.html
    Also I've just noticed that when i return to my iweb application (after closing in down) the Html snippets aren't there anymore just an outline, just like they appear in safari?
    Many thanks,
    Ali
    P.S

    Bonjour
    You inserted an image inside the ShopTable_Lampsfiles folder but it's is deleted every time you publish your page
    1) Create an new folder named Paypal in your root folder:
    FTP: With a FTP software (like Cyberduck) create a new folder in your server root folder
    MobileMe: just make an new folder inside the Folder Sites (iDisk > Web > Sites)
    Name this Folder "paypal"
    2) insert your image "addtocartbutton.png" inside this paypal folder
    Get the new URL of your image , something like
    http://www.alisonbrent.com/paypal/addtocartbutton.png
    3) Paste this URL in your codes, replace
    src="http://www.alisonbrent.com/ShopTable_Lampsfiles/addtocartbutton.png"
    by
    src="http://the/new/URL/of/addtocartbutton.png"

  • HTML snippet does not show on my webpage?

    the html snippet (from PayPal) shows up just fine in my iWeb page. But it disappears after uploading to my webpage. I use Fetch which is an independent uploader. I have iWeb version 3.0.4 and the iWeb page I am working on creates an "html" document but, because my webpage has been there for years, I always have to rename it is an "htm" document.
    Any help in getting the html snippet to appear on my webpage would be appreciated.
    thanks!

    Wyodor thx for responding.
    Here is the webpage in question with the "htm" ext. There should be two PayPal buttons on this page but they are not there:
    http://www.randymillerprints.com/NEFRbook.htm
    And here is the page with the "html" extension, untouched, as created by iWeb:
    http://www.randymillerprints.com/NEFRbook.html
    Still no PayPal buttons.
    In my desktop folder I kept the "html" file as created by iWeb and also have one with the "htm" extension. From my desktop folder, when I click directly on either file it opens a page in Firefox which correctly shows the PayPal buttons. I've checked to see that all the files from my folder are transferred to the server. All my other pages load correctly.
    Any thoughts on why the PayPal buttons are not showing on that one page?

  • IOS 8:  spotlight not showing wikipedia result snippets

    hi
    running 8.0.2.
    iOS 8:  spotlight not showing wikipedia result snippets.
    it does show the static Search Wikipedia link however.
    how to get the spotlight search snippets of wikipedia to show, as advertised?
    thanks

    Turn Spotlight Suggestions on and off a few times. If it still doesn't work try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.
    I'm using a iPad but I can't see that making a difference.

  • I am using Edge CC 2014. When I open up actions for a particular object (or in code view) the "toggle display of code snippets" does not show. Is there a preference setting I am missing?

    I cannot get the code snippets to show. What am I missing here?

    Hi there,
    Code snippets have changed for Edge Animate CC 2014: they are categorized by type, and allow you to choose which elements are being targeted. Please refer to the attached screenshot:

  • Object not showing up when published

    Hi,
    I have finally managed to get a Facebook "Like" button onto my website but the problem I have now is that the text for the button merges into my background fill which is grey. I have tried creating a bar of colour to fit behind the HTML snippet and it looks great in iWeb edit mode but when I publish it, the block of colour doesn't appear. Can anyone tell me how I can get this to show up or change just a section of my page background or if it's possible to change the colour of the text in a FB Like button. Thank you!

    Thanks Roddy, I've tried that and it does improve things a bit. This is what I get with the "dark" option selected which is acceptable to a degree but.....
    .....this is what I'm really trying to achieve, which shows up as shown here, when working in iWeb editing but does not show the colour-filled shape when I publish it.

  • HTML snippet not publishing correctly in iWeb

    I am attempting to add phpicalendar to my website by using iFrames. After adding the correct code inside of the HTML snippet window, the Calendar shows up inside of iWeb correctly. I then publish the updated page. When I go to the website, the calendar does not show up on the page.
    I know the phpicalendar is working correctly since I can redirect my browser to it on my site and it shows correctly... It just is not working on my page. Below is my website and the calendar page:
    http://www.youbelongatlife.org/AthensLifeFellowship/Calendar.html
    http://www.youbelongatlife.org/AthensLifeFellowship/php/month.php

    The code I am using for the HTML snippet is as follows:
    <iframe src=
    "http://www.youbelongatlife.org/AthensLifeFellowship/php"
    style="width:1015px; height:800px;
    border-width:0px;
    border-color:#990033;
    border-style:solid;"
    scrolling="auto" >
    </iframe>

  • Special characters (norwegian wovels) not showing correctly in Page Layouts

    We have a publishing site which surfaces content from several catalogs in an authoring site in a cross site collection publishing environment.
    We have a problem with labels for Catalog-Item Reuse Snippets containing norwegian vowels/special characters not showing properly. An example of a snippet is shown below. This contains the character ø (oslash).
    <div class="rightColPaddingUnder"><h2>Leverandørkontakt</h2>
    <!--CS: [NavnhovedkontaktleOWSTEXT] Start Catalog-Item Reuse Snippet-->
    <!--SPM:<cc1:CatalogItemReuseWebPart runat="server" UseServerSideRenderFormat="True" ResultType="" NumberOfItems="1" UseSharedDataProvider="True" OverwriteResultPath="False" ResultsPerPage="1" SelectedPropertiesJson="[&#34;NavnhovedkontaktleOWSTEXT&#34;]" Title="$Resources:Microsoft.Office.Server.Search,CBSItem_Title;" Description="$Resources:Microsoft.Office.Server.Search,CBSItem_Description;" MissingAssembly="Cannot import this Web Part." ID="g_1d79f6d5_037f_43b3_ac4b_4e7bc10ff1c3" __WebPartId="{1d79f6d5-037f-43b3-ac4b-4e7bc10ff1c3}">-->
    <!--SPM:<RenderFormat>-->
    <!--DC:Viser verdi fra søk uten ekstra formatering.-->
    <!--SPM:</RenderFormat>-->
    <!--SPM:</cc1:CatalogItemReuseWebPart>-->
    <!--CE:End Catalog-Item Reuse Snippet-->
    </div>
    The frontend messes the character up and displays this as strange A
    We have tried several things in order to fix this but are running out of leads:
    tried to change encoding in the page layout html file from utf-8 to iso-8859-1
    tried to replace ø with the hex value (&#248;) and the old school & + oslash + ; way of encoding characters
    Regional settings on the server is verified to be norwegian
    The strange part is that actual content in the content type columns that we display around the page actually shows the norwegian characters correctly

    Excellent, thanks!. I checked the top level globalization setting i IIS and this was set to Windows-1252.
    However, our work around solution was to add the
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    declaration inside the first MS-statement inside the body tag of the page layout HTML file like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><!--SPG:
    -->
    <!DOCTYPE html[]>
    <html class="no-js" lang="en" xmlns:mso="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:msdt="uuid:C2F41010-65B3-11d1-A29F-00AA00C14882">
    <head>
    <title>Some title
    </title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <!--MS:<asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="PlaceHolderTopNavBar" runat="server">-->
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <!--MS:<SharePoint:AspMenu ID="TopNavigationMenu" runat="server" EnableViewState="false" DataSourceID="topSiteMap" AccessKey="&#60;%$Resources:wss,navigation_accesskey%&#62;" UseSimpleRendering="true" UseSeparateCss="false" Orientation="Horizontal" StaticDisplayLevels="1" AdjustForShowStartingNode="false" MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="3" SkipLinkText="">-->
    Strange, but it worked.
    Actually we tried to set the globalization settings in the web.config files of the different IIS sites running in the webapp yesterday like this:
    <add name="SPWindowsClaimsAuthentication" type="Microsoft.SharePoint.IdentityModel.SPWindowsClaimsAuthenticationHttpModule, Microsoft.SharePoint.IdentityModel, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" />
    </httpModules>
    <globalization requestEncoding="utf-8" responseEncoding="utf-8" culture="nb-NO" fileEncoding="utf-8"/>
    <!--<globalization fileEncoding="utf-8" />-->
    <compilation batch="false" debug="false">
    As far as I can understand this should have the same effect as setting this in IIS.
    It seems that the IIS setting actually overrides whatever you put in web.config for globalization options.
    We have updated the IIS setting now to UTF-8 and done a IIS Reset. At the moment we get corrupted characters still, but now the existing aspx-files probably is corrupted and needs to be replaced with fresh ones. I will do a catalog dis-/reconnect.
    I'll update with whatever we end up with as the final solution. Anyway, very grateful for the invaluable help from a fellow Scandinavian :-)

  • PDF does not show up

    Hi all,
    The following is my code snippet in JSP for a project which i used to generate a PDF file. But the PDF does not show up . The Adobe loads and i get a pop-up saying
    'Acrobat could not open 'Example[1].pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted.'
    This is the code snippet i used:
    <%@ page import="java.io.*" %>
    <%
    String s = new String("Hai this is PDF Sample");
    byte file[] = s.getBytes();
    try
    BufferedInputStream inputStream = new BufferedInputStream(new ByteArrayInputStream(file));
    BufferedOutputStream outputStream = new BufferedOutputStream(response.getOutputStream());
    response.setHeader ("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=Example.pdf");
    response.setContentType("application/pdf ; charset=iso-8859-1");
    int bytes = 0;
    byte buffer[] = new byte[1024];
    while((bytes = inputStream.read(buffer)) != -1)
    outputStream.write(buffer,0,bytes);
    inputStream.close();
    outputStream.flush();
    outputStream.close();
    }catch
    (Exception e){}
    %>
    Can anyone please help me out.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • RH9 Snippets not saving, RH not closing have to force close

    I'm a new RH user so please forgive me if this is answered somewhere else (I did search for awhile first).
    Windows XP Pro 2002 Service Pack 3
    RoboHelp 9 HTML 9.0.1.232 (recent upgrade from RH7) Project has about a thousand topics
    Using Visual SourceSafe (VSS) for version control
    There were snippets in the project before I started and before this upgrade - those all are usable and stay where you put them through saving and closing RH. Other edits to topics seem to be surviving the save process also. Snippets I create (have not created any before this) are not surviving when I save the project, but they are creating .hts files on the hard drive (but not showing up in VSS).  Also, when I create multipe new snippets, the first one and only the first one I create shows up in the snippet pod (before closing RH), and when I save/close/reopen RH, none show in the pod.
    Note: had the same as problem/related to this forum question.
    Also, now when I try to close RH it just closes the active tabs but does not close the project and I have to force close RH in the Windows Task Manager.
    Summary:
    Edits to topics that do not      involve snippets are being saved
    Edits that involve snippets      created before yesterday are saved
    Snippets created by me:
    All are creating files       on my hard drive
    None are going into       Visual SourceSafe
    Only the first shows       up in the Snippet pod before RH closes
    None show up in the       Snippet pod when RH is reopened later
    So there we are.  Any ideas or suggestions?

    OK, my colleague (who is a RH certified expert) figure out what was going on.  Basically, in addition to our two hard drive copies of the project being out of sync (which we fixed by deleting some, taking some out of VSS that didn't belong, and recopying everything onto my hard drive) there is an underlying snippet problem which my colleague diagnosed as follows (her description):
    The project was worked on in RH7 for a couple of years. In early June 2011, RH9 was installed. The project was opened in RH9, and the appropriate ‘do you want to convert the project’ message displayed. I proceeded to do the conversion.
    Everything seemed to convert rather well except for one thing – the snippets. If you opened the Properties window for a snippet, you could see the description; however, the description would not display in the Pod in the designated “Description” column.
    As a test, I created a new snippet in RH9, which generated the following code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"  "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <meta name="topic-comment" content="here's the description" />
    <title>New Snippet</title>
    <meta name="generator" content="Adobe RoboHelp 9" />
    </head>
    <body>
    <p>This is placeholder text for your snippet. To add content to the body,
    replace this text. </p>
    <p>&#160;</p>
    <p>For information about applying snippets to topics, press <b>F1</b>.</p>
    </body>
    </html>
    However, the code for a converted snippet looks like this:
    <!doctype HTML public "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Frameset//EN">
    <html><head>
    <meta http-equiv=content-type content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
    <meta name=generator content="Adobe RoboHelp - www.adobe.com">
    <meta name=generator-major-version content=0.1>
    <meta name=generator-minor-version content=1>
    <meta name=filetype content=RoboHelp>
    <meta name=filetype-version content=1>
    <meta name=page-count content=1>
    <meta name=layout-height content=487>
    <meta name=layout-width content=424>
    <title>Use this snippet as the explanation for the Credit Type field on a form.</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p>Unit of credit for the course. Together with the Credit Value, it defines
    the possible credit hours earned for the course.</p>
    </body>
    </html>
    Notice how the text that is in the title tag is actually the DESCRIPTION for the snippet. Also, there is no meta tag for the real description in the converted code. The real title for this snippet is Credit Type, but for some reason, that does not display in the converted snippet code. The name only displays correctly in the Properties window, like this:
    Strange how the name (or “Title” as the code seems to indicate it should be) correctly displays in the Properties window, but that name is nowhere in the actual code in the HTS file.
    So it seems to me that there is a disconnect between what’s in the code, and what’s displaying in RH, and I’m not sure how or why that happened. I simply allowed RH9 to convert my RH7 project, and this Snippet problem was the only resulting problem that I’ve found.
    Is there any way to get this properly fixed by Adobe? Even when we enter the appropriate descriptions ourselves, they STILL don’t display properly in the Snippets pod. Sometimes some of them display, sometimes all of them don’t display, and sometimes if you perform an action (like creating a new snippet), then that action will cause some or all of the descriptions to display.
    Here’s an example --
    1st screenshot below – the Snippets pod as it typically displays for us in RH9. Absolutely no descriptions displaying.
    2nd screenshot below – I created a new snippet. The description for the new snippet displays PLUS the two descriptions for recently created snippets display! You can only see one of them in the screenshot (“Curriculum Considered Complete Situations”), but further down the list, the description for a snippet named “Requiring Search Criteria” also displays after creating the new snippet (Note: Both of these snippets were created in RH9, which raises the questions: Why didn’t the descriptions already display *before* I created a new snippet? Why did the action of creating a new snippet *cause* the two snippet descriptions to suddenly display?)
    Another Note: After my co-worker had manually gone through all of the snippets and manually added descriptions (and updated the “Title” tags to reflect the actual title of each snippet), this caused some issues – erratic Snippet pod behavior, and he had to keep using the Task Manager to close RH (normal close methods wouldn’t work). So since RH9 started acting funny and wouldn’t close for him, we reverted back to using the HTS files and the rhsnippet.apj snippet file that RH9 originally converted for us, and those original files are what we are continuing to use, but we would like to have a solution for the problem. Why didn’t RH9 properly convert the HTS files? Or at least, to us, based on the code that’s actually in the files, they don’t appear to be properly converted.

  • SelectOneMenu not showing bean value

    Hello,
    I have a simple h:selectOneMenu component that does not show the correct value from the backing bean. Here's the relevant code snippet:
    <h:outputText value="Has the site been inspected?: " />
    <h:selectOneMenu id="siteInspected" value="#{adoptRequestReviewHandler.currentAdoptionRequest.siteInspected}">
         <f:selectItem itemValue="n" itemLabel="No" />
         <f:selectItem itemValue="y" itemLabel="Yes" />
    </h:selectOneMenu>
    //the h:outputText tag (below) is just to see if the the correct value is in the bean
    <h:outputText value="#{adoptRequestReviewHandler.currentAdoptionRequest.siteInspected}" />The h:outputText component correctly displays the bean's siteInspected value--either y or n--but the h:selectOneMenu never changes; it always displays the last selected value, and never seems to get the value from the bean (e.g., it always display "No" even if the bean's value is "y").
    Any clues?

    Have you try
    binding="#{adoptRequestReviewHandler.currentAdoptionRequest.siteInspected}"
