Snmp tool to upload\dowload config on cisco ios devices

Friends,
please let me know if there any free tools available for uploading and downloading configurton via snmp v2c rw access.
I have checked and many are trail versions
thanks

Well at least for download I used Kiwi Cattolls you can have up to 25 nodes with the free license.
Also I used a plink script, but this is via SSH

  • File.upload on Air SDK for iOS devices failed to send http request to server.

    I am trying to use ActionScript's File.upload to upload a file on Air SDK for iOS8 environment, but the File.upload does not work properly. No handler about the file upload is executed after File.upload is invoked, and no exception is caught. When I check the network traffic of the server side, I found that no http request even hit the server after File.upload is executed. The code snippet here is very simple.
      private var file:File;
      private var dir:File;
      //This method is executed to create a file and upload it when the Upload Button is pressed.
      protected function OnUploadButtonPressed(event:MouseEvent):void{
      var str:String = 'This is test';
      var imageBytes:ByteArray = new ByteArray();
      for ( var i:int = 0; i < str.length; i++ ) {
      imageBytes.writeByte( str.charCodeAt(i) );
      try{
      dir = File.applicationStorageDirectory
      var now:Date = new Date();
      var filename:String = "test" + now.seconds + now.milliseconds + ".txt";
      file = dir.resolvePath( filename );
      var stream:FileStream = new FileStream();
      stream.open( file, FileMode.WRITE );
      stream.writeBytes( imageBytes );
      stream.close();
      file.addEventListener( Event.COMPLETE, uploadComplete );
      file.addEventListener( IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioError );
      file.addEventListener( SecurityErrorEvent.SECURITY_ERROR, securityError );
      file.addEventListener(ErrorEvent.ERROR, someError);
      file.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, onProgress);
      file.upload( new URLRequest("http://10.60.99.31/MyPath/fileUploadTest.do"));//This line does not work. No handler is executed. No http request hit the server side.
      } catch( e:Error ) {
      trace( e );
      //Complete Handler
      private function uploadComplete( event:Event ):void
      trace( "Upload successful." );
      //IOError handler
      private function ioError( error:IOErrorEvent ):void
      trace( "Upload failed: " + error.text );
      //SecurityError handler
      private function securityError(error:SecurityErrorEvent):void{
      trace( "Security error:" + error.text );
      //Other handler
      private function someError(error:ErrorEvent):void{
      trace("some error" + error.text);
      //Progress handler
      private function onProgress(event:ProgressEvent):void{
      trace("progressHandler");
    When executed on Air Simulator, it works fine as expected, and the file is successfully uploaded to the server. But When executed on iOS devices(in my case, iPad), as I explain early, no handler about the file upload is executed, and no the http request even hit the server. So I think the problem may be in the client side. It seems that the Air SDK for iOS just failed to send the http request for some reason.
    To make my problem more clear, I list my environment below:
    Development Environment:  Windows7 (64bit)  / Mac os 10.9.4 (Tested on  OS platforms.)
    IDE: Flash Builder 4.7
    Air SDK:  3.8 / 16.0.0 (After I updated to the lastest Air SDK 16.0.0 , the problem still exists.)
    Application Server:  Tomcat7 + Spring
    Target OS: iOS 8
    I have been struggling for this for days. So I really appreciate it if anyone has any idea about this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi bluewindice ,
    As you have quoted ( ActionScript's File.upload does not work on Air SDK for iOS devices ) , this issue has been replicated at our end, and our team will be working on it.
    Thanks,

  • Uploaded songs not available on iOS devices.

    I have songs in my iTunes library that have an uploaded status.  However, they are not available on my iOS devices.  iTunes Match is enabled on all devices.  Any suggestions?

    The most common cause of this issue is that the initial iTunes Match scan, match and upload process has not finished. Make sure it has finished.
    If the process has finished, what exactly do you see when you look for these "missing" tracks on the iOS device?

  • Harden Cisco IOS Devices

    I am trying to "harden" my network devices:
    - Cisco Catalyst 3750 (IOS Version 12.2(52)SE)
    - Cisco Catalyst 3550 (IOS Version 12.2(52)SE)
    - Cisco Catalyst 2960 (IOS Version 12.2(52)SE)
    - Cisco Catalyst 2950 (IOS Version 12.1(22)EA13)
    I found some documents very usefull available at
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_tech_note09186a0080120f48.shtml
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/configfun/configuration/guide/fcf013.html
    The problem is that I don't know what values/thresholds I should use on such features as:
    - memory free low-watermark processor <threshold_in_KBytes>
    - memory free low-watermark io <threshold_in_KBytes>
    - memory reserve critical <value>
    - exception memory minimum processor <value_in_Bytes>
    - exception memory minimum io <value_in_Bytes>
    - exception memory fragment processor <value_in_Bytes>
    - exception memory fragment io <value_in_Bytes>
    How can I know/troubleshoot how much memory the devices need to work properly??
    How can know when the devices reach a critical state??
    I understand it will depend on what kind of features I have enabled but...what should I do to check how much memory the current configuration needs to work properly?
    thanks in advance

    The crashes were cause by "improper" configurations.
    Between others, the switches were sending SNMP informs to 3 snmp servers. On a period where those servers were disconnected for maintenance, the switches could not receive SNMP response to the informs...eventually the switch memory was exausted at it failed to allocate memory for other processes like "spanning-tree".
    hint: On Layer2 topologies make sure to implement features like "loop guard"
    I was not expecting this at all... From that day forward I decided to harden configurations as much as  can.

  • Enable "linemode" on Cisco IOS device

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to monitor some telnet traffic with a tcpdump/wireshark. As I know because of the mode between Telnet Client and Telnet Server these "double-characters" appears (when client type something):
    From Cisco device we can connect to another device in line mode with a command like this:
    connect 10.0.0.1 /line
    But is there a way to use this option on all my VTY lines, on my AccessServer (2811 router)?

    Hi,
    There isn't any specific command to activate a tunnel using 3DES and the only thing is, the isakmp and ipsec policies should match on both the sides, which you are already aware of.

  • Keynote is an amazing tool for preparing presentations.However, keynote for iOS devices(e.g. iPad) doesnot have the simple way to add audio files in to the files.When we will have the update to add music files right into the keynote slide?

    I have been using Keynote for presentation slides to be used in conducting training sessions. Though, Keynote has beautiful interface with elegant transitions to animate, it doesnot provide any way to add audio or music files into the slides in iOS devices alone. I have been waiting for the update to add this very feature,but cannot find it yet.When could we have this upate?

    Send Apple feedback and tell them what you want. However, many app versions of programs are skinnied down, and that functionality may not be workable in the App version. Can't know until you suggest it to them however.

  • What's wrong? Verify and compare Cisco 2901 config after loading old config from Cisco 2801

    Hi Cisco Community / Friends,
    I am new to this site though I have cisco account for many years. I am a CCNA ,I  passed my certification on January 2013 I seldom use and utilized my skills on networking becuase of my type of work. I am Project Eng'r working in a System integrator company . Anyway, I would like to ask assistance on the configurations of my Cisco router for this gov't projects.. Here's the situation.
    We have a new project for the VSAT Comm'n of  Coast Watch Station ,  The VSAT was installed 7 years ago. The VSAT was only used for a year by this Gov't agency because of  subscription issue. Now, they wants to revive and use their VSAT facilities for the Coast watch monitoring. Now, some of this routers are working up to now and for some site  are already defective so I need to replace the old 2801 router with a new equivalent model which is Cisco 2901. My plan was just to load the old config into the new Cisco 2901 router. However, after loading it to the new router, I am a little worried because I've got some errors received. I load the old config by copying the old files, edit it in notepad, and load the config using Secure CRT (terminal emulator). When I copy the old config of cisco 2801 to new router cisco 2901 , below are the command not recognized on Cisco 2901. What's wrong ? What are these commands for?
    Appreciate your comments and help on this matter.. Thank You very much
    Note: I Attached the original config from Cisco 2801 and the other file is the config after I load the config file to Cisco 2901.

    Hi
    From Cisco's website:
    The Modem Management Interface (MMI) is software that enables auto-provisioning for the Cisco 827 routers. The MMI uses a fixed PVC to communicate with the Proxy Element (PE) residing on the digital subscriber line access multiplexer (DSLAM). Using MMI, the Cisco 827 router updates the running image and downloads the prescribed configuration using a configuration file or configuration values in a provisioning information database.
    The customer premise equipment (CPE) can be automatically configured using the Cisco DSL CPE download, but it can be configured only with the image provisioning feature.
    So because this is your device, you don't want to use MMI anyways.
    And "priority-list" is QoS. Probably that QoS-command is old and removed, because now QoS is configured using class-maps and policy-maps.

  • Uploading Cfg file to Cisco 831

    Really new here to Cisco. Our netwok administrator was let go and I am running the show now but am having a problem with uploading a config file to our Cisco 831 which is acting as a firewall to a T1 line. I am so newbie to Cisco so bear with me please! Our router was reset to defaults(yea, I know) and of course the config file was lost on the router but... I did find these files saved on one of our file servers. in a folder TFTP-Root
    c831-k9o3y6-mz.123-2.XC2.bin
    startup-config
    cisco831-config
    I can see the files were backed up and on this server there is a TFTP server that has been ran. Here are my questions.
    1. To get the router back to where it was with these files, which ones do I need to upload?
    2. Do I need to upload a boot file and config file or just one or the other?
    3. I did try to upload the startup-config file using telnet and got as far as the TFTP program trying to load it to the Cisco but an error came up about the security range for the TFTP didnt include 10.10.10.1??? The wierd thing is the TFTP server is 192.168.1.10 and the Cisco is 192.168.1.252. I can ping the Cisco but I cannot figure out why the Cisco is sending to the TFTP server that its IP is 10.10.10.1.
    I appreciate any help since right now our office netork has no email till I reset this.
    Thanks
    Jim

    I do not think it is a stupid question. When you post to a public forum like this, all kinds of people will see what you post. It is wise to want to protect yourself.
    I would suggest that as a starting point that you replace any passwords with "" (or some silimar string which shows us what passwords were configured but disguises the actual password).
    I would suggest that you disguise any IP addresses that are in public address space (I believe that addresses in private space do not need to be disguised). Some people post configs with the address blanked out but I find this is sometimes counter-productive. I would suggest that you change the first octet of any public address in your config, and be careful that the first octet still shows whether this was class A, class B or class C address space. If you disguise the first octet then if the second, third, and fourth octet are the same as your config we will not have any real idea where you are, but there are valuable indications of what subnetting is being done, and perhaps other things that may be helpful.
    I believe that it is probably sufficient to disguise any passwords and disguise any public IP addresses. If you look through your config and find other things that concern you (perhaps there are comments on interfaces about what they connect to that you do not want to become public) feel free to remove or to alter/disguise them.
    And if you are really nervous about posting config details on the forum, you can email them to me privately. My email address is available through my forum profile. Some other forum contributors also make their email addresses available through their forum profile.

  • Is there a Cisco AireOS to Cisco IOS XE conversion tool?

    Hi,
    We're currently migrating some AireOS WLCs networks into 5760 IOS XE.
    Is there a tool or procedure available to converte an Cisco AireOS configuration into Cisco IOS XE?
    I'm currently looking into the the "Cisco AireOS to Cisco IOS XE Command Mapping Reference, Cisco IOS XE Release 3SE" document and I was wondering is there is an easy way to do this
    Kind regards,
    Vasco

    There is not real tool that does this conversion.  It's best to treat this as a Greenfield implementation.
    Thanks,

  • Cisco Aironet Conversion Tool Version 2.1 for Cisco IOS Software

    I am trying to convert a LWAP to Cisco IOS and the tool wants to know the Admin Name*? This is a factory radio sent to me as LWAP. I cannot seem to find out what the Admin Name is, I have tried Admin and Cisco not sure what else to try.

    Hi Brian,
    That tool is used for the IOS to LWAPP upgrade only. The AP can be converted back to Autonomous (IOS) using the following method;
    Reverting the Access Point Back to Autonomous Mode
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps430/prod_technical_reference09186a00804fc3dc.html#wp161272
    You can convert an access point from lightweight mode back to autonomous mode by loading a Cisco IOS Release that supports autonomous mode (Cisco IOS release 12.3(7)JA or earlier). If the access point is associated to a controller, you can use the controller to load the Cisco IOS release. If the access point is not associated to a controller, you can load the Cisco IOS release using TFTP.
    Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release
    Follow these steps to revert from LWAPP mode to autonomous mode by loading a Cisco IOS release using a TFTP server:
    Step 1 The static IP address of the PC on which your TFTP server software runs should be between 10.0.0.2 and 10.0.0.30.
    Step 2 Make sure that the PC contains the access point image file (such as c1200-k9w7-tar.122-15.JA.tar for a 1200 series access point) in the TFTP server folder and that the TFTP server is activated.
    Step 3 Rename the access point image file in the TFTP server folder to c1200-k9w7-tar.default for a 1200 series access point, c1130-k9w7-tar.default for an 1130 series access point, and c1240-k9w7-tar.default for a 1240 series access point.
    Step 4 Connect the PC to the access point using a Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.
    Step 5 Disconnect power from the access point.
    Step 6 Press and hold MODE while you reconnect power to the access point.
    Step 7 Hold the MODE button until the status LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds) and then release.
    Step 8 Wait until the access point reboots, as indicated by all LEDs turning green followed by the Status LED blinking green.
    Step 9 After the access point reboots, reconfigure it using the GUI or the CLI.
    From this doc;
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps430/prod_technical_reference09186a00804fc3dc.html#wp161272
    Hope this helps!

  • Get SNMP Tools (not services) installed via a script or GPO

    Hello all,
    I noticed with Windows 2012 R2 SNMP service is installed and running but you need the SNMP tools installed to see the Traps and Security Tabs. Does anyone have a .bat and vbs file that does this? I also, want to setup to configure Community public to read
    write and add host to the accept snmp packets as wll as trap destinations. I have a server call zabbix which I need to enter that server name into those areas.

    Hi k-master,
    Based on your description, I understand that you want to deploy exe tool via
    Group Policy. As I know, exe file can’t be deployed via Group Policy. So, regarding to your target, you can refer to following 2 suggestions.
    Use a computer startup script to run the exe with unattended parameters. Regarding to detailed script, you can post requirement in the
    Script Forum. I believe we will get a better assistance there.
    Get MSI package (convert the EXE to MSI package), then you can deploy the MSI file via
    Software installation setting in group policy. For more details, please refer to this
    KB. Meanwhile, please refer to the following article.
    Set Options for Group Policy Software Installation
    If anything I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

    This is a CISCO-CONFIG-MAN-MIB trap, not an EEM trap.  I don't think your EEM applet is being triggered since you have that priority argument in there.  Try removing that and leave the syslog pattern alone.  You will see the string as a varbind in the trap.

  • ISE 1.1.3 en Cisco IOS SCEP

    Hi,
    I'm running Cisco ISE 1.1.3.124 and a Cisco IOS 2811 (c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.150-1.M2.bin) which I configured the be a SCEP server.
    PKI Authentication and enrollment of a Cisco switch with this SCEP server is running well but BYOD clients enrollment via EAP-TLS (1024/2048) giving me the following error on the Cisco IOS SCEP server:

    I'm stuck now on the message: failed to open env data. So can anyone explain what the meaning is of this message or maybe know if IOS SCEP with ISE is supported ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Michel,
    Officially supported it is not:
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCud86973
    Some people mentioned varios degrees of "having it working".
    In your case it's the envelope data which appears to be a problem for IOS.
