SNRO buffer

Hello,
I have a little problem with SNRO, there is an option buffer value, set to 10 by default.
My number is ok, but when we restart the SAP system, the SNRO don't take the next number but the number of the buffer.
Do you have already see this problem, how to solve this ?

    In SNRO check the number range objects associated with it, buffer for number range which is used is the probelm.

  • Clearig buffer from internal order number

    Hello Experts
    When I create internal orders, the system is generating number with a gap of 20.  The last number used is ***81.  I want to clear the buffer (transaction SNRO- Object - AUFTRAG?).  I would like to get next number generated should be ***61. I can delete ***81 order if necessary.
    Please advise the process so as to get number **61 for next internal order.

  • SAP buffer for Customer Account Group (number range skipping)

    Dear Experts,
    When creating new customer for Account Grp = TRDL for my company, I find out that the number range always skip and this problem continues. Someone told me to check it out if the problem might comes from buffer. In Tcode = SNRO (Object = DEBITOR) I find out that buffer setting = 5.
    The Question is how can I check if this buffer rate is compatible with my SAP environment? or which rate is more compatible and help solve the problem of number range skipping?
    If anybody have some suggestion please feel free to contribute it.

    in SNRO, take out the flag for
    "Main memory buffering".
    SAP recommends:
    Dependencies
    When buffering number intervals, gaps may result in number assignment. Buffering is therefore not possible for applications, which require continuous number assignment.
    What happens is that the system loads consecutive numbers into the buffer, in your case these are five consecutive numbers. When you create customers and do not use all the numbers already in the buffer, the numbers remain open. Example: You start XK01 for customer creation, create three customers and then logoff. You have two open numbers remaining. Numerical example: 1, 2, 3 have been used, 4 and 5 have been reserved, but are open.
    When invoking XK01 again after subsequent log-on, the system pulls the next five numbers into the buffer. Since 1,2,3,4,5 were already taken (for the previous buffer), the next buffer goes from 6 to 10.
    Numbers 4 and 5 will never be used, the practical consequence of that are the number gaps that you have noticed.

    Tip on Number Range Buffering :
    When you load large quantities of data in an InfoCube, the number range buffer should be increased for the dimensions that are likely to have a high number of data sets.
    To do this, proceed as follows. Use function module RSD_CUBE_GET to find the object name of the dimension that is likely to have a high number of data sets.
    Function module settings:
    I_INFOCUBE = 'Infocube name'
    I_OBJVERS = 'A'
    I_BYPASS_BUFFER = 'X'
    The numbers for the dimensions are then contained in table 'E_T_DIME', column 'NUMBRANR'. If you enter 'BID' before this number, you get the relevant number range (for example BID0000053).
    You can use Transaction SNRO (-> ABAP/4 Workbench -> Development --> Other tools --> Number ranges) to display all number ranges for the dimensions used in BW if you enter BID*. You can use the object name that was determined beforehand to find the required number range.
    By double-clicking this line, you get to the number range maintenance. Choose Edit -> Set-up buffering -> Main memory, to define the 'No. of numbers in buffer'.
    Set this value to 500, for example. The size depends on the expected data quantity in the initial and in future (delta) uploads.
    !! Never buffer the number range for the package dimension !!

    The number range buffering for DIMid's and SID's
    a) the DIM table increases by a large number of data records for each request
    b) the size of the DIM table levels out but at the beginning you expected or observed a significant increase
    c) there are many accesses to the NRIV table with reference to the number range object of the dimension table
    d) the InfoCube or the dimension table is deleted regularly and, therefore, the DIM table increases significantly in each period.
    The number range object for the SIDs of an InfoObject should be buffered if
    e) you regularly add many new data records to the SID table
    f) you know before the initial load that there is a lot of master data to be loaded for this InfoObject
    g) you delete the master data periodically and you always load many new records (this should be an exception).
    How do you find number range objects of the dimensions and SIDs whose number range should be buffered?
    h) You know in advance that the dimension table or the SID table will increase significantly per request.
    i) You observe accesses to the NRIV table and you can determine the number range object directly in the current SQL statement.
    j) A high number range level may indicate that there is a significant increase for these two BW objects (valid only for BID* and BIM* objects)
                           SE16 'NRIV'
    -> OBJECT = 'BID' or OBJECT = 'BIM'
                           displays all number range objects with number level (NRLEVEL).
                           Export this output to an Excel document and sort NRLEVEL in descending order. Most candidates usually have a high number range level.
                           You can determine the corresponding dimension tables by using the table RSDDIMELOC. You can find the InfoObject for SIDs using the table RSDCHABASLOC (the field NUMBRANR contains the last seven digits of the number range object). The procedure is even more effective if you read the table NRIV periodically and you determine the changes using NRLEVEL.
    k) Another indicator is if a dimension table or an SID table significantly increases on a regular basis.
                           How many instances should be buffered?
    In the past, a value between 100 and 500 has proved to be efficient. If there is still a high load for these number range objects on the table NRIV, you can increase the value.
    Caution:
    - Never buffer the number range object of the package dimension table of a data target.
    - In addition, never buffer the number range object of the request ID (RSDCHABASLOC-CHABASNM = 0REQUID), generally BIM9999998.
    - Ensure that not all dialog processes are occupied permanently

    Sometimes we get gaps in the number range of our PO's created from EBP ie.
    30000000001
    30000000002
    30000000010
    30000000020
    30000000021
    and so on. But we are not sure what to do to fix the problem. This link: http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/aa/dbc9b4b56143bb8f2ae909d7d040fa/content.htm tells about the number buffer. But what to do?
    We have looked in SNRO object EINKBELEG it returns "No buffer active"?
    Should we set the parameter nobuf/max_no_buffer_entries to 1?

    So why is the standard 1000 and not 1?

  • Number ranges in SNRO

    Hi!
    I've created a number range with SNRO. How ever I don't know, how to handle this?
    I've found an fm, called NUMBER_GET_NEXT.
    Is it only reading the next number?
    Or is it set it to the next automatically and I have to use only this one fm?
    I have a question with buffering also: because I planned to use this number range at some important document types I don't want any gaps in the numbering.
    Unfortunately the check box, for the buffering cannot be changed, because it is disabled, and checked by default. What will happen if I enter 0 to the buffered numbers?

    Hi Tamas,
    so far everything sounds very good, NUMBER_GET_NEXT ist the correct FM,
    you created your number range within SNRO.
    But you have to watch that you switch off buffering at the number range object.
    Go to the menue EDIT -> SET UP BUFFERING  -> NO BUFFERING.
    Now the number range object will not buffer numbers and you'll not have any gaps
    in your numbers.

    Buffer range:
    The number range buffer is used to increase performance when assigning numbers. Instead of fetching the numbers each time from the database, a single access to the buffer suffices. Only when the buffer is empty, is it refilled from the database (table NRIV).
    Use of the buffer has the following benefits:
    ·        Accessing the main memory is a thousand times quicker than accessing the database. Speed is particularly important for applications that assign numbers frequently.
    ·        Database accesses are always subject to the database transaction mechanism. Once an application has assigned a number for one user, a second user cannot assign a number until the first user has executed a commit operation on the database. The application blocks further assignment, and the second user has to wait, until the commit has been executed.
    ·        The number range buffer can also prevent deadlock situations, which may arise from assigning different numbers in a different order.

    Frequency with which status Idocs are sent
    With this frequency you determine according to how many data-IDocs an Info-IDoc is to be sent, or how many data-IDocs are described by one Info-IDoc.
    Dependencies
    Info-IDocs contain, among other things, information on whether the respective data IDocs have been uploaded correctly.
    Using each Info IDoc, you can see in the monitor whether the load process is running free of errors. If this is the case for all data IDocs described in an Info IDoc, then the traffic light in the monitor is green.
    Standard settings
    Frequency 1 means, for example, that there is an Info IDoc for every data IDoc. In general, you should choose a frequency between 5 and 10 but not greater than 20.
    Recommendation
    The larger the packet size for a data IDoc, the smaller you should set the frequency. By doing this, you make it possible to get information on the respective data load status in relatively short time periods when uploading data
    Number of Data Records per Package
    This option refers to the number of data records that are delivered with every upload from a flat file within a packet. The basic setting should be between 5000 and 20000 depending on how many data records you want to load.
    Activities
    If you want to upload a large quantity of transaction data, change the 'number of data records per packet' from the default value of 1000 to between 10000 (Informix) and 50000 (Oracle, MS SQL Server).
    Dependencies
    The data packets can be imported in parallel in BW in the background. With an improved use of system resources (uploading is divided up into several work processes), uploading in parallel is the most cost-effective from a performance point of view.
    Recommendation
    You should not divide up the quantity of data into too large a number of packets since this reduces performance when uploading. The number of data packets should not be more than 100 per loading process.
    Size of PSA partition
    You can determine here after how many records you want to create a new partition. By default, this value is set to 1,000,000 records.

  • Number range buffer

    hi,
    I have assign the number range to the PO in SPRO setting.
    I have a number range from 9600022400 and when I create a PO I have in some moments 9600022291 for example.
    but in this list of POs created in the system I have some numbers empty.
    i want to find and delete all the buffer numbers.
    wht can i do??? plz explain in detail..

    Try TCode SNRO, enter object EINKBELEG, and click the pencil button to change.  Select menu path: Edit -> Set up buffering -> No buffering.  This is the default setting as you should see "Number ranges are not buffered" under "Warning %".
    Using the same method for object MATBELEG (Physical Inventory Documents), you will see that the the Main memory buffering is check and numbers in buffer as 10.  The same goes for object MATERIALNR.  There you will see the same and that 10 numbers are buffered.

  • Using RealPlayer (dialup) - How can I give N/W preference to it's buffer?

    Is there a "safe" way to configure the machine so that "1st preference"
    is given to keeping the RealPlayer buffer full (listening to radio stream)?
    I use 56Kb dialup and don't mind slowing down e.g. Safari etc but don't
    want the radio stream to be interrupted.
    Have UDP ports 7070-7071 opened in Sys Pref's and tell RealPlayer to
    use them. I also buffer 500 seconds in RealPlayer. Still, it's buffer gets
    empty (stream is at 20+ Kbps and modem is at about 45+ Kbps).
    Maybe there is a better forum to post this at discussions?

  • Issue with running QuickTime Windows.  Buffer Overrun Error - C++ Library .

    Initial problem was Buffer Overrun Error (C++ Library) when clicking on QuickTime after installation. IE. QT would not even open. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831875#appliesto
    I took these steps:
    1. Tried to uninstall QuickTime by itself (it failed).
    2.
    3. Manually deleted apple, itunes and quicktime from the entire system (where ever it let me).
    4.
    5. Manually took out from the registration the apple stuff.
    6.
    7. Left the items in the recycle bin (in case there were any real issues and I needed something restored).
    8.
    9. Performed a registration cure (RegCure).
    10.
    11. Took off my entire Anti Virus.
    12.
    13. Dropped down separately the QuickTime and separately the iTunes on desktop.
    14.
    15. Tried to install QuickTime from one of the two saved files on my desktop, but encountered a serious fault
    16.
    17. It needed the QuickTime Installer to remove QuickTime itself, else it crapped out and nothing happened. This complained for a QuickTime.msi file which was a problem.
    18.
    19. Went to the recycle bin and restored only components which were marked QuickTime Installer.
    Removed the QuickTime instead of Repair.
    Went to the website and Installed QuickTime 7 directly.
    It opened on the desktop after installation.
    Installed iTunes separately from the desktop and it opened directly.
    Rebooted my pc.
    Enabled all my Security (McAFee).
    Opened one by one the QuickTime and Then the iTunes.
    Created a computer restore point with a narrative for the future.
    This was a very difficult task and required a lot of steps. I am glad you helped me with the removing part. Its great to have everything working again on my pc.
    I hope this was helpful - it took me ageges to fix.

    I'm experiencing exactly the same bug. Matter of fact, it's the first time in years that I've run across this kind of 'problem' when using non-beta software from a major player. Too bad. This really reflects poorly on Apple's credibility.

    Version : Oracle 9i
    I am getting buffer busy waits on some tables. Will increase in inittrans & pctfree of those tables reduce buffer busy waits?
    Tablespace is having segment space mgmt auto & extent management local.
    cursor_sharing is similar.
    Users are not experiencing any problem.Is there any problem other than this in statspack report?

    I am getting buffer busy waits on some tables.
    Users are not experiencing any problem.Looks like you got bit by the CTD troll while sleeping.
    Note also that (if I'm reading the report alright) out of 23 mins you have 6 seconds accounted to buffer busy waits.

  • Can not find Flush Return Data Buffer.vi

    When I try to start my Labview program I get a "Error -70025 occurred at Read Home Input Status.vi" because the Return Data Buffer is not empty.
    I searched for the Flush Return Data Buffer.vi in the Labview library but it is not there.
    Where can I find it?

    The Flush Return Data Buffer.vi should be located in your functions palette at Vision and Motion>>73xx>>Advanced>>Flush RDB.vi. Alternatively, you can press ctrl+space on your keyboard to open the quick drop menu and then search for Flush RDB.vi.

  • The ADO NET Source was unable to process the data. ORA-64203: Destination buffer too small to hold CLOB data after character set conversion.

     We developed a SSIS Package to pull the data From Oracle source to Sql Server 2012. Here we used ADO.Net source to pull the records from Source but getting the below error after pulling some 40K records.
      [ADO NET Source [2]] Error: The ADO NET Source was unable to process the data. ORA-64203: Destination buffer too small to hold CLOB data after character set conversion.
    [SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED. 
     The PrimeOutput method on ADO NET Source returned error code 0xC02090F5. 
     The component returned a failure code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput(). 
    The meaning of the failure code is defined by the component, 
    but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing. 
     There may be error messages posted before this with more 
    information about the failure.

      Tried both....
      * Having schema type as Nvarchar(max). - Getting the same error.
      * Instead of ADO.Net Source used OLEDB Source with driver as " Oracle Provide for OLE DB" Getting error as below.
           [OLE DB Source [478]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005.
