So when i enter my apple id in the app store, as well as in any app, they freeze! and nothing happens , what should i do
IN the app store, the enter apple id screen just reappears again, like nothing is happening.
and in the apps, they just crash.

You need to delete those applications and then download them from the desired Apple ID. This may require repurchasing paid ones.

I have an I Phone 4 OS is 7.1.2. The phone indicates I need to update some apps. I go to the update screen select either all or an individual app. I select the update box. I am then asked to enter my PW. I do so and select OK. The update circle spins for a while the goes back to saying update. If I repeat the process the same thing happens. I have the same problem. I have a store ID my family all used to buy things. I have a different icloud id for me and icloud backups. Store account is setup properly, and I can download new apps. It does not ask for a password for these as the phone is signed into the store account. You can delete an app and reinstall it (using same store account) and it will reinstall no problem.
The only problem I found with this is some apps I'd previously download for free are no longer free. Once upon a time my store list would show me an icon that an app had been downloaded before (think its the cloud symbol). Now there is no indication of this.
Also seems like something is wrong with the store account. When I tried logging in to type this reply with message with my store ID it immediately gave me an error message and told me the link was possibly outdated. But logging in with my icloud ID this message will load. Try again on store ID, error message. Even though we can log into our store accounts via https://appleid.apple.com/ and manage the account...something seems broken with how its attached to our App store. (I'm at work so not able to log into itunes with store ID and see what happens) -

DId you download and Install the COMBO version of the last Update that you did ?
iChat on the Install Disk is likely to be several versions behind where your OS has been Updated to.
It needs to Match the OS level.
iChat Updates come in the OS Updates.
You need to run the Updater manually as Software Updates keeps records of what it has done and thinks iChat is up to date.
If you are on Snow Leopard then the COMBO version of 10.6.7 is here
If you are on Leopard then the COMBO for 10.5.8 is here
Googling Mac OS X 10.x.x COMBO where x.x is the version you are up to will generally find the link to the right page if you are at a different OS version.

Help! iPod Touch 5th gen.
It worked fine earlier today, I was using it with no issues. I just picked it up to use it again and it's dead...nothing happens when I try to restart/shut off. If I am reading an article on, example, the Indy Star website, and there is a button to print, I see this javascript:void(null) error message in the lower corner and nothing happens. If I go to noscript and keep "temporarily allowing all pages" eventually it will print. The same goes with trying to put an article, again say off the Indy Star website, on my Facebook page, I get the same error and have to follow the same routine (temp allow all pages) before it finally works. Restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. How you do this is when you hear the startup tone hold down the Shift Key until you see the progress bar appear. Let it fully boot, then open System Preferences - Startup Disk and ensure your internal HD is selected and then click Restart to test. If you still don't have luck you should run Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode, you may need to run the test 2-3 times to report any errors. To run AHT you will need teh ORIGINAL Install Discs that shipped with the computer. Instructions for AHT are in:

i downloaded new FF 2 weeks ago. Since then i keep getting update window coming up every day highly recommending i update but when i try, nothing happens except blue/white moving bar at top of window. i have left it run for hours and no progress, so i close it. The next time I open FF, it appears again and again same happens.
If there is an urgent update, how urgent is it if I cannot download it.It's worries me that i can,t load it and how it might affect my security.It would be a great idea to uninstall Norton - you don't need it and it has a pretty poor reputation for mucking up otherwise healthy Macs.

Edit: To see whether you actually have Norton installed launch Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. If it's installed you'll likely see some Norton entries there.

Generally when a file refuses to delete, it is some type of permissions issue, either that file or folder has the permission settings set to refuse editing of files, or
The file is being used in another program and is therefore locked to keep other apps from editing/deleting the file.
Right click on the file and choose to view in your OS's file browser and try to delete from there. It may give a better error message if something is wrong. -

Is this a new Apple iD? If it is, and you have already set it up, then you have two options:
1. Temporarily put a Credit Card or Gift Card on the account to download the free app. If you put a credit card, then once you have downloaded the app, you should be able to go into your Account preferences and change the payment option to = None.
2. You can download the fee App, and then set up a new Apple ID.
