SOA Dependency Flow Tracker

Hi
i am looking for a tool / underline product level information that is used to find the flow for SOA Suite components
[ JMS1 --> BPEL --> Mediator --> JMS2 ] --> Proxy --> JMS3
<----------------------------SCA-----------------------><--------OSB---------->
In the above flow, the flow in [..] can be trace from SCA component audit trail / flow.
Once the messages are put in the JMS Queue2 ; we dont have any flow / visual diagram after that
i.e., from end-to-end flow as UI.
what are required to build such a tool / UI.
Thanks in adv.,
anvv sharma

Anvv,
There is no simple/straight forward option available for it.
You may consider creating a custom reporting provider for OSB then on top of it, you may build your own reporting dashboard. While listing the report of any OSB transaction, you may include a reference into it which may redirect the page to audit trail of SOA part. By this way on one page user may find the direct link to view the SOA audit trail and tracking/audit information of OSB.

  • Searching for information flow tracking tool

    Dear All,
    I am new in the field of data/control flow analysis, and my current project requires me to find out the set of variables that can affect the value of another variable. For instance,
    public void m(int x)
         int y = 0;
         if (x == 1)
             y = 1;
    }In the above code, the value of y depends on the value of x. That is, there is information flow from x to y. I am wondering if there is any existing tool to do such analysis (e.g., given variable y, return x as a result), or I have to implement such a tool myself?
    Your suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi
    Open the business layer in the editor by double-clicking the business layer name in the
                   Local Projects View.
    In the Business Layer pane, in object properties pane
    (Edit the dimension properties in the "Dimension Properties" pane. And find the advanced tab.
    Or Edit the measure properties in the "Measure Properties" pane and And find the advanced tab)

  • SOA as career track

    Hi ,
    from last 1 year I am working in Web dynpro ABAP .I am facinated by SOA ...and feel like exploring it ...I have started with first by making r /3 basic clear by going through ERP for dummies (ESA version ) and then planning to switch SOA books..as recommended by seniors .
    But before that I would like to know can I move this track ? If yes how I should take my career ? any suggestions ...welcome .

    See, it seems you have good exposure to SAP Netweaver stacks. So u r very much eligible to SOA as a career . As I already told u SOA is basically about Architecture.So first u need to prepare a case study of a relatively large business that may incorporate many of the netweaver components e.g XI,BI,EP,MI. Transform their business requirement to technical requirements and then design the objects. Most importantly it should be designed so that every functionality in respective stacks of Netweaver can be exposed as a service </b>e.g Webservice so that their business partner can access the business object without interfering into their systems.
    for an architect.......
    What is an architect?
    I often get resumes with architect in title. Judging by these resumes, an architect is supposed to have the following qualities:
    1.     Knowledge of UML
    2.     Being able to draw architecture diagrams
    3.     Experience as a developer
    Architect: Someone who knows the difference between that which could be done and that which should be done. -- Larry McVoy
    The predominant thought seems to be progrmmers with long years of experience in coding either become managers or architects. Typically, all the people with an interest in technology become architects. But, what is the role of an architect in software development?
    1.     Defining the problem in technical terms: Normally, the problem is stated in the terms of the domain -- it could be scientific, business, or any other area where the solution is needed. To solve that problem using the computer, you must be able to state the problem in "computerese", which means, in the terms of established technical frameworks. Typically, it takes:
    1.     Understanding the problem as explained by the customers
    2.     Translating into the computer solution domain
    3.     Guiding the customer to well understood problem-solution patterns, and
    4.     Understanding where true innovation is required
    2.     Specifying the technologies needed: A given problem can be solved with diverse combinations of technologies. It is the architect's job to specify what technologies to be used.
    3.     Defining the major modules of the system: The architect also must break down the system into modules and define interactions between modules. In fact, she should also specify the guidelines of interactions so that the module dependencies are well understood.
    4.     Recommending patterns and frameworks: Since there is nothing new under the sun, each problem, in some fashion must have been solved earlier. It is the architect that should identify the relevant previous patterns to apply in the current project. In addition, she may need to define new patterns to be used in the application.
    5.     Establishing code quality measures: For example, code reviews and design reviews fall under the code quality measures. The architect should establish the guidelines and practices in the team.
    6.     Establishing Best Practices: Any given task can be done in many ways, some of which are equally good. However, an architect must establish best practices for doing even these mundane tasks so that consistency is maintained, and unnecessary effort is spared in looking for solutions.
    7.     Maintaining conceptual integrity of the application: As the project grows, requirements change; new technologies get added; new people come into the project. With all these changes, it becomes imperative to maintain a coherent and consistent vision of the project. An architect should be able to do that.

  • RTorrent: move downloads to different directories depending on tracker

    Hi!
    I would like rTorrent to move completed downloads to different directories depending on the trackers in the torrent. An ideal setup for me would be something like this:
    torrents/completed/tracker_x
    torrents/completed/tracker_y
    torrents/completed/tracker_z
    torrents/completed/unknown_trackers
    torrents/incomplete
    torrents/torrent_files
    torrents/session_data
    Any hints/links/etc for me? I think i can make something work if rTorrent could pass the .torrent file path and downloading directory to a bash script

    very lazily copied out my .rtorrentrc
    32 schedule = watch_directory_1,10,10,"load_start=/home/share/media/torrents/foo/*.torrent,d.set_custom1=/home /share/media/video/foo"
    33 schedule = watch_directory_2,10,10,"load_start=/home/share/media/torrents/bar/*.torrent,d.set_custom1=/home/s hare/media/video/bar"
    39 on_finished = move_complete,"d.set_directory=$d.get_custom1= ;execute=mv,-u,$d.get_base_path=,$d.get_custom1="
    there's also this, but i think it doesn't actually move the files; it makes symlinks.

  • Mapping data flow tracking?

    We are using OWB repository 10.2.0.1.0 and OWB client 10.2.0.1.31. The Oracle version is 10 G (10.2.0.3.0). OWB is installed on Linux.
    We have an existing mapping. Do we able track column from source to target or target to source in Mapping?
    Suppose we have employee_salary in source. It goed through number of transforms before reaching the target column sal_measure. If we want to track the complete dataflow of employee_salary to sal_measure or sal_measure to employee_salary. Are there any way in OWB mapping editor?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Product type 04I - subledger flows - how do I post?

    Hi All
    I am able to set up a fixed interest bond after I set up the security class & the security account for it.  I see that the conditions specified in the class determines the subledger position indicator & te security account position indicator.  But I do not see these flows in the 04I instrument's cash flow tab.  I tried to post TBB1 & only the 0100 & 0870 flows are getting posted.
    I tried TPM44 but it says accrual is not configured for the product type which is right as I do not see any accrual config for securities.
    My main question then is how do I get the subledger position flows to post?  Second question is, is accrual relevant to securities?  If yes, how do I set that up?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Morgan

    Hi Morgan,
    --- question #1 - Posting of Securities flows.
    Short intro - in case of Securities, only Purchase/ Sale/ Issue/ Redemption flows are treated as transactional and therefore are visible in the tab 'Cash flows'. All the cash flows, relevant to certain Security Class, can be visible by selecting respective icon 'Position cash flows', where you have at least 2 choices: Security account class (only physical payment flows, like placement, nominal interests payments, repayment, etc.) and Valuation Area dependent flows (physical payment flows and also all kind of valuation flows, like interest accrual, FX valuation if relevant, etc.). For posting of so called transactional flows you should use TBB1, while for other flows, like (interest) payments and final repayments, you should use FWSO;
    --- question #2 - is accrual relevant to securities?
    it actually depends what kind of Position management procedure is used for certain Securities Product type. If you need to use interest accrual, you should:
    check if exist/ define relevant Update types: IMG -> ... Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Organization -> Accounting -> Accrual/Deferral -> Update Types -> Define Update Types and Assign Usages;
    assign accrual relevant Update types per Product category/ product type: IMG -> ... Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Organization -> Accounting -> Accrual/Deferral -> Update Types -> Assign Update Types for Accrual/Deferral.
    hope this will help you.

  • Developping multiple level SOA approval in OIM11g

    Hi Team,
    How to achive the below functionality in SOA work flow:
    1. Once Request raised , it will to 2 managers & 1 Super Manager(approvers) queue. for Ex : M1,M2,SuperManager. ----------> 2 hours,2hours,5Hours
    2. A task should be created and ,It will sit in M1 Manager (approver) Queue waits for 2 hours, if he didnt act on the same (approve/reject) it should expired and should be cleared from the queue.
    3.After 2 hours It should go to M2 Manager(2nd approver) queue and wait for 2 hours if he didnt act on the same for 2 hours again is task should expire from his queue and should be cleared.
    4.Then it should go to 'Super Manager' Queue and wait for 5 hours, if he didnt act , then request should get expired.
    to achieve this I have used the below code snippet:
    <onAlarm for="bpws:getVariableData('managerapprovatime')">
    <assign name="setExpiredStatus">
    <copy>
    <from expression="'EXPIRED'"/>
    <to variable="ApprovalTask_Var1"
    part="payload"
    query="/task:task/task:systemAttributes/task:state"/>
    </copy>
    </assign>
    </onAlarm>
    from the em console I can see it is excuted the above code(SOA compsoite), but task are still in assign state and appearing the Approver queue even after 2 hours, 2 hours ,5 hoours
    Please let me know how I can acheive this.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Common Utility Project for 2 applications in 2 different Tracks

    I have 2 applications to be deployed in two different landscapes. So I defined two tracks for them; now these 2 application use  common utility projects (Java project and Library project). Here is how it looks,
    Scenario:
    App1EJB
    App1Web
    App1EAR
    App2EJB
    App2Web
    App2EAR
    Util1 (Common to both App1 and App2)
    Util2 (Common to both App1 and App2)
    My question is,
    1) So should I define 3 Tracks here?
         Track1 (App1)
         Track2 (App2)
         Track3 (Utilities)
    2) Is this a good approach?
    3) How will I define usage dependency across Tracks
    4) How to do the deployment (always deploy Track3 before deploying Track1 or Track2?)
    Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
    First of all: how many SCA's did you define?
    I would have 3 SCA's, one for the APP1* applications (APP1.SCA), one for the APP2* applications (APP2.SCA) and one for the utility aplications (UTILS.SCA).
    Each of these SCA's will have their own track. For the first 2 SCA's (APP*.SCA) it is clear why (different landscape). I would have a separate track for the UTILS.SCA, because I would like to use only approved utilities.
    Make the UTILS.SCA known in the other 2 tracks as dependent SCA of the APP.SCA's. Using the public parts and used DC's mechanism, you are able to use the utillities in your APP DC's.
    Using  transport connections between track3 towards track1 and track2 ables you to have the latest approved utillities avaliable in track1 and track2.
    Regarding the deployment, there is the question of how you are using the utillites: as services by themselfs on the Java runtime or included in the separate deployable ear-files. In the first case there is only one version of UTILS.SCA avaliable and used by both APP1.EAR and APP2.EAR. In the second case you have 2 versions (included in the ear-files), which makes updates of UTILS.SCA a redeployment of both APP1.EAR and APP2.EAR necessary.
    Is this a good approach? Using 3 tracks makes it harder to test the utillities using the APP1.EAR or APP2.EAR. You need some test-features located in the UTILS.SCA. But you are at least sure you have only approved utillities in your ear-files.
    Hope this helps a little.
    regards,
    Alain

  • What are logics for the SAP UI icons of "Back", "Exit" and "Cancel"?

    Hi SAP experts,
    This question may sound kind of strange - isn't that obvious?
    While, it is in fact a very important and difficult issue for UI app implementations when UI flow should be kept persistant. I have been feeling confused when doing UI implementations in Personas, specially when at some screens I need to add my own "BACK" button in order to go back to the previous screen (which can be different screens depending flow conditions.)
    Can anyone explain what the basic logic is used for the SAP "Back", "Exit" and "Cancel" buttons (see below)?
    Here are my understandings (which may not be accurate or correct):
    1. "Back" icon (left): By pressing this icon, all the changes made in the current screen are discarded, and UI moves back to the previous screen. If there are some fields already been filled with values in the previous screen, there can be two UI behaviours depending on the platforms used:
        a) Some platform will restore the values so the screen looks EXACTLY like before.
        b) Some others will leave all fields empty (While, this can be annoying if you have to re-fill all the fields).
    2. "Exit" icon (middle): By pressing this icon, all the changes made in the current screen are discarded, and UI moves back to the "Initial (or Home)" screen which in most time should be the first launching page of the app.
    3. "Cancel" icon(right): I am very confused by this key - what is the special functionality of this key compared to those of the "Back" key and "Exit" key?
    I have been working in many years on developing UI apps for mobile devices, and there were no such three types of keys for UI navigations. Maybe I missed some special points that is special only on SAP?
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Dong Zhu

    This may not sound that interesting so I will close it to keep our track "clean".
    By the way, just want to share some finding - in Personas, when replacing the Exit or Cancel buttons by transactions, I found that "/n" and "SMEN" does not give the same result, and it depends on whether it is the Exit button or Cancel button that is to be replaced.
    Close this question.

  • Exchange 2010 can't send or receive email with attachments.

    Hello,
    We have an Exchange 2010 server, running under Windows 2008R2. Both the server and Exchange are current for Windows and Exchange updates. Exchange is on SP3 installed about a month ago with no errors reported in the event logs.
    The problem is that attachments over about 1 MB do not send or receive and no error message is returned. If I send an email message with a 3 MB attachment to myself, it reports as sent in Outlook. On the Exchange server the message queue shows nothing in
    the queue. I try to use Exchange mail flow tracking tool and it hangs when selecting “messages received from” option. I gave up waiting after 5 minutes for the display to populate.
    As the server is set attachments should be able to send and receive up to 20 MB.
    I checked and verified all settings I could find related to this. I checked with the Exchange Management Console per the following article:
    http://www.msexchange.org/articles-tutorials/exchange-server-2010/management-administration/managing-limits-exchange-server-2010-part1.html
    I also checked using the Exchange Power Shell using the following article:
    http://eightwone.com/2010/09/29/exchange-message-size-limits/
    Both show that all settings are suitable. Details are below
    I would appreciate feedback on this problem.
    Thank you!
    Details from the articles noted above:
    First test was to attach a 3 mb text file in Outlook sent from my in house account to my in house account. After 5 minutes the test message was not received nor was there an error message returned.
    Checked The Exchange server mail queue and there was nothing in the queue. Checked the Exchange mail flow tracking tool and it hung when selecting “messages received from” option.
    Reviewed and verified settings per the following 2 articles:

    ExchangeITPro,
    Thank you for your reply.
    >what SP are you at?
    As noted in the first paragraph: "We have an Exchange 2010 server, running under Windows 2008R2. Both
    the server and Exchange are current for Windows and Exchange updates. Exchange is on SP3 installed about a month ago with no errors reported in the event logs."
    >try restarting the transport services.
    Done previously as well as the entire server. No change.

  • Cisco AnyConnect SSL VPN no split tunnel and no hairpinning internet access

    Greetings,
    I am looking to configure a Cisco ASA 5515X for Cisco AnyConnect Essentials SSL VPN where ALL SSL-VPN traffic is tunneled, no split tunneling or hairpinning on the outside interface. However users require internet access. I need to route traffic out the "trusted" or "inside" interface to another device that performs content-filtering and inspection which then egresses out to the internet from there. Typically this could be done using a route-map (which ASA's do not support) or with a VRF (again, not an option on the ASA). The default route points to the outside interface toward the internet.
    Is there no other method to force all my SSL-VPN traffic out the inside interface toward LAN subnets as needed and have another default route point toward the filtering device?
    OR
    Am I forced to put the ASA behind the filtering device somehow?

    Hi Jim,
    You can use tunnel default route for vpn traffic:
    ASA(config)# route inside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 <inside hop> tunneled
    configure mode commands/options:
      <1-255>   Distance metric for this route, default is 1
      track     Install route depending on tracked item
      tunneled  Enable the default tunnel gateway option, metric is set to 255
    This route is applicable for only vpn traffic.

  • Request Key for Role Requests in OIM 11.1.1.5.0

    Hi,
    We are currently working on an enhancement in which after the role request is approved in the work flow process (SOA), need to be assigned to a group. A notification has to be sent to this group with the request details and the task needs to be assigned to them.This functionality is implemented using the process task and providing the group name in the assignment tab of the task.
    The problem we are facing here is, we are not able to get the request key (of the role request) dynamically, which can be used in the adapter to get the request details/ role details.
    We have implemented the same process while requesting for RO. i.e. after the RO request is approved in the SOA work flow it gets assigned to a group.
    In that case we could get the request key by using the below sql query:
    "select usr.USR_LOGIN,req.request_key,usr.usr_first_name,usr.usr_last_name from usr usr,request req,oiu oiu where req.request_key=oiu.request_key and req.requester_key=usr.usr_key and oiu.orc_key=" + processInstanceKey;
    How ever for the role requests, we are not able to figure out the query / any other process using which we can get the request key dynamically that can be used in the process task adapter.
    Please suggest the db query or any other method to get the request key for the role request.
    Thanks in advance.
    Shakti.

    Hi Kevin,
    The complete steps that we are following are as below:
    1. The requester raises a request for assigning role xyz to user abc by using request template. Once the SOA workflow is completed the user gets the role.
    2. After the evaluate user policy scheduler is run and the record is inserted in to the child table, a task "ADD Role To User" is triggered,
    3. Have created an adapter to set Response= "SUCCESS" and associated it with the task "ADD Role To User".
    4. On Response= "SUCCESS" we are triggering two tasks.    i. Assigning task to a team
                                                                                               ii. Sending notification to the team about the role request.
    5. While writing the task for sending notification ,we have created an adapter. We need to get the request key(of step no 1) and role details to be displayed in this mail.
    As you have mentioned, "There should be no process instance key for a Role Request because there is no object.", i am not able to figure out a way to get the request key
    which i can use in the adapter to send notification.
    Please suggest how can i get it and let me know if you need any other details.
    Thanks in advance.
    Shakti.
