SOA Suite for Linux 64 bit

I had been using a Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Media Pack for Linux x86 (32-bit). We are now moving to a 64-bit Linux. I cannot find a Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Media Pack for Linux x86 for 64-bit Linux. Is it supported on 64 bit.
Also, can an Oracle Enterprise Linux be used instead of RHEL ?

I thought most X64 architectures can support 32 bit apps. Even if the SOA Suite runs in 64 Bit, the JVM will alone be running in 32 Bit. So there should not any compatibility problems.
Is that right?

HTTP Server not starting in SOA Suite for linux

Hi all,
Installation and configuration of the new SOA Suite on SUSE 9 is not without faults. During the configuration the HTTP Server process is not starting. According the log file (opmn/logs/HTTP_Server~1.log) the HTTP Server is trying to start in SSL-mode, but I guess the SSL was not properly configured during the installation by the installer. I am not able to configure SSL myself, so my workaround was to disable SSL in the opmn.xml configuration file.
Is anyone experiencing these problems? How can I configure SSL? Is SSL supposed to be enabled on the soa-server?

Rumors are that Microsoft is working on a native Office for Linux (link: http://techreport.com/news/24333/rumor-microsoft-mulls-native-office-for-linux ) . When is Adobe lunching a Suit for Linux?
Disclaimer : ) I paid for my copy of Design Suit, I will be happy to pay for those programs for Linux as they are the only reason I need Windows. There are stable, standardized APIs Linuxes out there (RedHat, for example), further more from what I can say, Linux (Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Fedora - no experience with other versions) is more stable than Windows...

This subject comes up about once per year, and the answer has always been "not yet, and probably never," but that is, of course, subject to change. So far, no changes.

I am using Fedora 14. I want to connect to internet using my Nokia N8 mobile. There is no nokia ovi suit for linux and hence I am unable to connect to internet. Can anyone please help?

Just right clic on manager to modify connection, choose Wide Band Mobile connection et follow assistant....
That's all, the connection is created, then left clic on manger to use it !
Other way ? Use special apps on the N8 to convert it in a WiFi Hotspot like Joiku Spot

Problem in installing SOA Suite on Linux

I am trying a silent install of the Oracle SOA Suite on Linus. I get the following content as the silentlog
A configuration script needs to be run as root for the installation to be complete. Please run /opt/oracle/oracle/product/oracle_soa/root.sh as root at the end of install.

Installing from a CD or from a download? It may be corrupt.
I suggest you compare the checksum of the downloaded file with the checksum as listed on the download page.
The installer is supposed to use its own JRE, so it should not use your installed one.

Install SOA suite for IDM

Question about SOA suite installation
After RCU setup creates tablespace for Identity Manager and SOA- question: how does SOA install connect or know about the tables created by RCU. Because in the SOA setup process there was no configuration for Database server. So which component will guide the SOA to look into the appropriate tables, schema etc created by RCU.

It is being asked after OIM installation.Once you done with RCU, Weblogic,SOA, IAM/OIM installation you have to run below two configuration script
1. <IDM_HOME>/server/common/bin/config.sh --> Here you will create a domain and it will ask about all the schema details including SOA as well.
2. <IDM_HOME>/server/bin/config.sh -> this will allow you to set password for the xelsysadm(admin) user as well as design console and Remote manager setup.

So, second one i.e. the one "OIM install/config" is used for setting the password for the xelsysadm(admin) user... The database related stuff happens in the first one itself i.e. <IDM_HOME>/server/common/bin/config.sh

Authenticate SOA Suite for OID

Hi All,
Iam trying to configure SOA Suite 11g and the Work list application to the OID Users.
Iam able to see all the OID users and groups on the Web Logic Console and i can login into Web Logic and WebLogic Enterprise Console as OID Users.
But I have issed Logging into Worklist application.
I did refer to the forum solution Re: SOA Suite 11g and OID on step 3 on the forum link it does ask to locate for the Locate the soa-infra-users.xml file on the OH.
But I dont seem to find that file.
Has anyone configured the OID to for Work List Application .Your suggestions and pointer would help me proceed further.
I have not been able to proceed with this issue.

I am not sure about TP4. Incase of SOA11gR1, to configure OID, you can follow the steps mentioned in the doc

AFAIK, Worklist doesn't support mulitple realms. At any point of time, it will work only with the default realm.

I am new to SOA, so please bear with my novice question. We implemented Oracle EBS R12 (12.0.6) to support business. There is a need to integrate the EBS with a third party system. To do this through webservices, is SOA suite required? If Yes, is it already there with EBS R12.0.6 or should get this explicitly? Basically, what are our options, any help is greatly appreciated.

I hope that will be a starting point for you to make a pkg out of and then run something like namcap on to see where things need to be added. Also, I don't know if one of the other rpm's would be a better fit for Arch's directory structure, or if this should be put in /opt or something.
