SOAP acknowledgment - with no BPM

Hi,
I'm calling a WS in an async way via SOAP adapter
and I see "acknowledgment not possible" message status
(WS was called successfully)
is there any way to turn off those acks ?
BTW
I'm not using a BPM it's a simple - IDOC-SOAP call
Thank you,
Kind Regards,
michal

Michal,
If you see this help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/bf/27fd3b651f6a1ce10000000a11402f/content.htm
See in Example 1 it says:
version=3.0&<b>MessageClass=ApplicationMessage</b>&ProcessingMode=synchronous&MessageId=13490851-9aae-11d8-9e93-f28d0a12631c&TimeSent=2004-04-30T13%3A55%3A44Z&Sender.Party=016%3Apattern_33%3AAEG_837654&Sender.Service=SRM1&Receiver.Party=12_55%3A017%3ABASF&Receiver.Service=SALES&Interface=http%3A%2F%2Fsap.com%2Fexample%2Fsrm%5ESRM1
Check by removing this. Just a guess Michal. Also since the sender is an Idoc try in the report IDX_NOALE Do Not Request Acknowledgement.

  • Regarding acknowledgement without using BPM

    Hi,
    regarding acknowledgement without using BPM,
    i've read all realated document sap lib, but i am not clear on it.
    what step do i have to follow?
    1. IDOC to Java server proxy?
    2. RFC to Java Server Proxy?
    3. ABAP proxy to SOAP?
    thanks & regards
    dennis.

    > what step do i have to follow?
    > 1. IDOC to Java server proxy?
    For the IDOC you need not do anything, as IDOCs request ack's per default. For Java Proxies look here:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3531 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    > 2. RFC to Java Server Proxy?
    This is not possible.
    > 3. ABAP proxy to SOAP?
    Look in the online help for requesting ack's in ABAP proxy (it is similat leik in Java Proxies). You can only work with system ack's.

  • Integrate Web application with Oracle BPM

    Hi,
    Can you guide me in achieving the following scenario:
    1. Integration web application with oracle BPM
    Say, I have a application where I need to trigger an event to call Oracle BPM. For ex: On click of submit button call the Oracle BPM workflow to do some process and then revert back to the same application with an alert or status message. Please let me know the steps to acheive this.
    Thanks
    ST

    Hi,
    I take from this description that you currently have your Web Application and you would possibly like to trigger or create an instance into an OBPM business process. If this is the case, you have several options available here:
    a) Use PAPI (Java API).
    b) Use PAPI-Ws (SOAP API).
    c) Use some sort of communication channel that the process is implemented to listen (for example a JMS Queue or Topic).
    For the first 2, you can try to take a look into the official Documentation page for OBPM through this link: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/index.html (Check the For Developers section).
    If I have miss interpreted your question, please do not hesitate to provide more details.
    Cheers,
    eduardoc.

  • Sending a SOAP request with binary attachment

    hi all,
    I am sending a SOAP request from a SOAP client SOAP UI  with a binary attachment ( image file as an attachment )  and creating a file on the receiver side with attachment.
    But how do i see this attachment in XI and do i have to specify some additional configuration in my receiver or sender adapter modules.
    Regards ,
    Loveena.

    creating a file on the receiver side with attachment.
    Is this working? Receiver file adapter does not support attachment.
    But how do i see this attachment in XI
    In the pipeline steps, under payload, you will find two entries, one for payload and other for attachment.

  • File to RFC scenario with no BPM

    I want to create File to RFC scenario with no BPM. I want to invoke RFC synchronously to verify that I'm getting correct response back, but i dont wanna process the response. So, In SXMB_MONI i can check the response back from RFC right? Or do I need to have BPM if want to see the response back from RFC?
    What kind of business system i need to create for RFC? can i use same business system for both File and RFC? I'm using one Business System created on Third party technical system, which i'm using for file Input, also for RFC. Is that OK?
    Thanks,
    Deepesh

    Hi,
    I need to have BPM if want to see the response back from RFC? ... yes
    The BPM will help you find the response very comfortable.
    What kind of business system i need to create for RFC? can i use same business system for both File and RFC? I'm using one Business System created on Third party technical system, which i'm using for file Input, also for RFC. Is that OK? ..Yes you can .

  • Soap response with envelope

    Hi
    My PI server is able to make a soap call to the SFDC ( webservice ) ...however the response that is received within PI
    has a SOAP envelope...and hence the response mapping is going in error....because the source data type in response mapping doesnot match with the soap response ( with envelope )
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns="urn:enterprise.soap.sforce.com">

      <success>true</success>
      </result>
      </upsertResponse>
      </soapenv:Body>
      </soapenv:Envelope>
    how do i handle this

    Hi,
    I think there is an option while configuration of SOAP adapter, where you can define, not to keep SOAP envelop. Please check the option Conversion Parameters\Do Not Use SOAP Envelope and set it as per your requirement. That might solve the problem. Here is the link which can be helpful
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/29/5bd93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm
    Alternatively you need a java mapping or XSLT mapping to remove the envelop.

  • How to send SOAP Message with Oracle B2B

    Hi everyone,
    I need your help to send out from Oracle B2B a SOAP message with attachment of any type of file (image, pdf, etc.). Possibly using a SOA composite application or another way, it doesn't matter. I already create an ebMS partnership with a custom document protocol and I already create a working SOA composite application to send only text message to my trading partner. I have tried this solution: http://anuj-dwivedi.blogspot.it/2011/04/ebms-attachment-handling-in-oracle-b2b.html but it doesn't work for my case... It is to be noticed that I don't give any schema to my component in the SOA application explained firstly, and I select opaque as schema.
    Thanks to all, regards

    Hi Anuj and thanks for your help,
    I need to send an ebXML message, with SOAP, and I try to send it with a .war application written in jsp connecting to http://10.85.28.24:8001/b2b/transportServlet to send the SOAP message. The errors reported is:
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Unable to receive message. Received a response from url: http://10.85.28.24:8001/b2b/transportServlet with HTTP status 200 and SOAP content-type: null.
    the code I write is the following (to evaluate the two "null" in the super constructor)
    <%!
    public class EBMSSender extends SOAPRunner
    private String cpaId;
    private String service;
    private String action;
    private String mess;
    private ArrayList<String> allegati=null;

    super("http://10.85.28.24:8001/b2b/transportServlet","null", "null");
    this.cpaId = cpaId;
    this.service = service;
    this.action = action;
    this.mess=mess;
    this.allegati=file;
    @Override
    protected void prepareRequest(SOAPMessage soapMessage, SOAPBody soapBody) throws SOAPException
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("CPAId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"agr3"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("service", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"OracleService"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("action", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"Oracletohermesb"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("serviceType", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"OracleServiceType"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("convId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "convId"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("fromPartyId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Oracle"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("fromPartyType", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Name"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("toPartyId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Hermes-b"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("toPartyType", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Name"));
    attach(soapMessage);
    protected void attach(SOAPMessage soapMessage)
    String h=mess;

    AttachmentPart ap = soapMessage.createAttachmentPart(h,"text/plain");
    soapMessage.addAttachmentPart(ap);
    if(allegati!=null)
    for(int i=0; i<allegati.size();i++)
    dh=new DataHandler(new FileDataSource(new File(allegati.get(i))));
    ap=soapMessage.createAttachmentPart(dh);
    ap.setContentType(new MimetypesFileTypeMap().getContentType(allegati.get(i)));

    return null;
    %>
    The code works fine on the other trading partner side to send ebXML message to Oracle B2B. Apart from this solution (however,it would be my favorite), I find your blog and I try to implement your solution. It works: it sends files with only text payload to the other trading partner without any problem, but if I try to send for example an image in byte array written in a file .txt, the ebxml file received has the byte array with wrong characters. it may be that I have not provided the xsd schema? in case if I wanted to send an ebXML message with text and attachments, what xsd schema do I need to provide?
    or is there another way to implement a SOA composite application to send SOAP messages with attachments?
    Thank for your help!, regards

    Ravi,
    With the generic SOAP client, it asks for the http based wsdl file location. But my wsdl has been generated by XI and I have the file stored on my desktop.
    Something to do with the path http://zpidd01:8030/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=NetworkPartners:NP_Order_BS:NP_SOAP_Sender_CC ??
    Stefan,
    my scenario is to send a SOAP request with attachment and post the attachment in ECC through the ABAP server proxy.
    WebService Client -
    SOAP----> XI -
    ABAP PROXY CALL ---> ECC
    Need further assistance from both of you how to achieve this scenario.

    please suggest me what is the procedure to recover from this.

    Hello,
    How do you package you WS client application to be deployed in JBoss?
    The JAX-RPC clients are not that portable you may need to recompile the client with JBoss WebService implementation/tools, and check that you do have the different deployment descriptors for the client too.

  • Outbound SOAP Message with Attachment

    The requirement is to invoke a web service by sending attachments in the outbound SOAP message. The attachment body needs to be assigned in the message flow, using an element E1 extracted from the message incoming into the flow.
    I am trying to use attachments variable to set content-type (text/xml) and body using E1. However, these are not getting assigned to attachments variable, as seen by logging the variable.
    I was told that $attachments cannot be changed inside the flow (it is marked black in the console unlike the header and body that are marked green). If that is the case, how do we invoke services using attachments from a message flow?
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    A SOAP message may need to be transmitted together with attachments of various sorts, ranging from facsimile images of legal documents to engineering drawings. Such data are often in some binary format. For example, most images on the Internet are transmitted using either GIF or JPEG data formats. In this document we describe a standard way to associate a SOAP message with one or more attachments in their native format in a multipart MIME structure for transport.
    yes it is possible to send attachment with the SOAP.
    SOAP Message Packages
    A "SOAP message package" contains a primary SOAP 1.1 message. It may also contain additional entities that are not lexically within the SOAP message but are related in some manner. These entities may contain data in formats other than XML. The primary SOAP 1.1 message in a message package may reference the additional entities. Such additional entities are often informally referred to as "attachments." This section describes how to construct SOAP message packages and how SOAP processors will process them.
    A SOAP message package is constructed using the Multipart/Related media type, which is defined in RFC 2387. The rules for the construction of SOAP message packages are as follows:
    The primary SOAP 1.1 message must be carried in the root body part of the Multipart/Related structure. Consequently the type parameter of the Multipart/Related media header will always equal the Content-Type header for the primary SOAP 1.1 message, i.e., text/xml.
    The MIME Multipart/Related encapsulation of a SOAP message is semantically equivalent to a SOAP protocol binding in that the SOAP message itself is not aware that it is being encapsulated. That is, there is nothing in the primary SOAP message proper that indicates that the SOAP message is encapsulated .

    How can I include the attachment(which is on a local machine) in the above soap message?
    Is it posssible to send the attachment in the field "FieldAtthmt"?
    If it is possible to send an attachment with the soap message then how can that attachment be handled in XI?
    Thanks in advance,
    Vikram

    Hi,
    A SOAP message may need to be transmitted together with attachments of various sorts, ranging from facsimile images of legal documents to engineering drawings.

  • SOAP Adapter with Webservice Provider URL

    This is what I did. Configured a Receiver SOAP adapter with SOAP 1.1 Message Protocol. Target URL is the WSDL URL Binding (SOAMANAGER) with authentication.
    When I test the scenario the Message is through PI and Communication Channel - No errors
    However strangely I do not see anything happening in ECC. Sometimes a log shows up in SOAMANGER "SOA Runtime Log/Trace Viewer" which has SOAP Runtime Error Information. This is very inconsistent again.
    I have tested SOAP with XI 3.0 Message Protocol and the messages are through in ECC. No problems there.
    Also Tried with directly using "SOAP Location URL" from within the Binding WSDL URL. This also results in DUMP in ECC.
    Does SOAP adapter with SOAP 1.1 Message Protocol support Webservice Provider in ECC EHP5(SOAMANAGER Binding)? Is it built to support this kind of scenario? Or only WS adapter can invoke the Binding URL?
    Is there any other URL that can be invoked with SOAP -SOAP1.1?
    Using PI 7.1 Service Pack 5.

    Did you properly expose the RFC/Class in SOAMANAGER of the backend system? there is no endpoint created by default. You have to create and endpoint for a logical system (I guess). Then try calling the webservice from any 3rd party tool like Altova XML Spy. If that works then the ABAP webservice is working good and could be called from PI.
