Soap attachment mapping problem, xop:include

Hello experts,
I am using PI 7.3
I have a senario SOAP to IDOC which SOAP is a sender adapter.
My Web Service receives attachment which includes MTOM, xop:include
I read the attachment in the message mapping by User-Defined function.
But I have another problem while message mapping.
<SAP:Category>Application</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="MAPPING">EXCEPTION_DURING_EXECUTE</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>Unexpected value <null> for node /ns0:TrainingAttachment/ns1:binary</SAP:P1>
in attachment part of the web service is following,
<urn1:attachment>
  <urn1:binary>
      <inc:Include href="cid:87732-65c0-665c" xmlns:inc"http://www.w3.org/2004/08/xop/include" />
  </urn1:binary>
</urn1:attachment>
I think my message mapping doesnt resolve the binary part
I tried the Do Not Resolve XOP Includes checkbox, nothing changed
Thanx for your help
Hasan

Hi Hasan,
  Please, try to implement next xslt mapping before message mapping.

  • Webservice Response Attachement Deserialize XOP Include Error

    Hello experts,

  • Unique Problem: Returning SOAP+ Attachment using a class based webservice

    Hi everyone,
    Im trying to return a Soap+ attachment response back using the following:
    attachDoc(byte[] bdoc, String sTransactionNumber,
                   String sRequestedType)
    Where byte[] is the attachment and the 2 string parameters are soap message contents.
    The attachment is attached successfully to the message and i can send a response back to the clients console using :
    message.writeTo(System.out);
    My problem is that i dont know how to return this soapmessage+attachment back to the client.
    Ive tried using the return type of the method as :
    public SOAPMessage attachDoc(byte[] bdoc, String sTransactionNumber,
                   String sRequestedType)
    but i cant return a SOAPMessage return type in axis.
    Does anyone have any clues how i should sort this out so that the client gets the SOAPMessage and attachment when the method is called ?
    Please help :S
    Thanks,

    I dunno if this is what you asked for....
    Hope this helps a bit
    You may want to check this link out
    http://www-unix.globus.org/mail_archive/discuss/2007/02/msg00037.html
    MessageContext msgContext = MessageContext.getCurrentContext();
    File file = new File("filename.txt");
    org.apache.axis.attachments.AttachmentPart replyPart=
    new org.apache.axis.attachments.AttachmentPart(new DataHandler(new
    FileDataSource(file)));
    Message rspMsg= msgContext.getResponseMessage();
    rspMsg.addAttachmentPart(replyPart);
    so ur basically adding the file to the reply message.
    The link i gave has a better description, it has the entire process of sending file to server and downloading file from server codes.

  • "Content is not allowed in prolog" with SOAP Attachment

    I'm writing an application using SAAJ that sends a soap message to a servlet which responds with some information, including HTML which the client application will display. The HTML has to go into a SOAP attachment so the tags won't get confused with XML.
    I had the whole thing working with plain text sending within a normal node, and I only switched a few lines to make that text an attachment with HTML instead, but now I'm getting the exception "Content is not allowed in prolog" on the Client side when it tries to create the envelope from the SOAPMessage.
    Code for building answering SOAPMessage with attachment (Servlet to Client)
         public static SOAPMessage buildXML(Message newMessage){
              SOAPMessage msg = null;
              try {
                   MessageFactory msgFactory = MessageFactory.newInstance();
                   msg = msgFactory.createMessage();
                   // Create an envelope in the message
                   SOAPEnvelope envelope = msg.getSOAPPart().getEnvelope();
                   msg.setProperty(SOAPMessage.WRITE_XML_DECLARATION, "true");
                   msg.setProperty(SOAPMessage.CHARACTER_SET_ENCODING, "UTF-8");
                   //Get hold of the the body
                   SOAPBody body = envelope.getBody();
                   SOAPElement soap_message = body.addChildElement("MESSAGE");
                   if (newMessage.message_type != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_message_type = soap_message.addChildElement("MESSAGETYPE");
                        soap_message_type.addTextNode(newMessage.message_type);
                   if (newMessage.questionID != 0){
                        SOAPElement soap_questionID = soap_message.addChildElement("QUESTIONID");
                        soap_questionID.addTextNode("" + newMessage.questionID);
                   if (newMessage.username != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_username = soap_message.addChildElement("USERNAME");
                        soap_username.addTextNode(newMessage.username);
                   if (newMessage.password != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_password = soap_message.addChildElement("PASSWORD");
                        soap_password.addTextNode(newMessage.password);
                   if (newMessage.message_text != null){
                        AttachmentPart soap_message_text = msg.createAttachmentPart("<html><body>" + newMessage.message_text + "</body></html>", "text/html");
                        soap_message_text.setContentId("MESSAGETEXT");
                        msg.addAttachmentPart(soap_message_text);
                        //SOAPElement soap_message_text = soap_message.addChildElement("MESSAGETEXT");
                        //soap_message_text.addTextNode(newMessage.message_text);
                   if (newMessage.sampleString != null){
                        SOAPElement soap_password = soap_message.addChildElement("SAMPLESTRING");
                        soap_password.addTextNode(newMessage.sampleString);
                   SOAPElement tmpEl;
                   for (int i=0; i<newMessage.numArrayUsed; i++){
                        tmpEl = soap_message.addChildElement("SAMPLEINT");
                        tmpEl.addTextNode("" + newMessage.sampleInt);
                   msg.saveChanges();
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              return msg;
    You can see in the area where it adds MESSAGETEXT there are two clients commented out which work. The three lines above it are what changed to make it an attachment instead.
    Code in Client for recieving reply from Servlet
    SOAPMessage reply = connection.call(soap_msg, endpoint);
    System.out.println("\nReceived reply from: " + endpoint);
    reply.writeTo(System.out);
    System.out.println("");
    reply_msg = ProcessXML.parse(reply);This is the console output:

  • Problems with ViaVoice under Leopard, especially key mapping problems

    ViaVoice's behavior has changed considerably under Leopard. First I will discuss the key mapping problem, since I'm eagerly looking for an answer to this problem. At the end of this post, I will voice some of the other problems I've experienced for those who may be interested. The key mapping problem may be specific to the fact that I use a foreign keyboard with a US version of ViaVoice.
    INTRO:
    I have used ViaVoice on my Mac for years, more or less without problems (ViaVoice's bugginess is notorious).
    Those who know ViaVoice will know that one has two general options for dictation. One can dictate into ViaVoice's so-called SpeakPad, which allows special formatting, editing and dictation error correction within the dictated text, or one can dictate into "external" software such as Microsoft Word, in which case ViaVoice just sends a string of characters to that software. SpeakPad appears to make strong use of the operating system's built-in functionality for character formatting, document formatting, etc.
    *MY PROBLEM*
    I have a German keyboard on my PowerBook, yet dictate in US English. When I dictated into SpeakPad under Tiger, all characters appeared correctly. However, when I dictated into Microsoft Word using Tiger, I had to switch the keyboard mapping from German to US to get all characters (that means including the characters that are located at different positions on a German keyboard than they are on a US keyboard such as y, z, apostrophes and parentheses) to appear correctly.
    Under Leopard, things have changed. Now it doesn't matter whether I dictate into SpeakPad or Word; the results are the same and many characters do not appear correctly.
    If set to a German keyboard, y and z appear as expected. To name a few irregularities:
    "(" appears as ")"
    ")" appears as "="
    apostrophes appear as "#" and
    ";" appears as ","
    If set to a US keyboard, y and z are interchanged. "(" and ")" appear as expected. Apostrophes appear as "\" and ";" appears as ","
    By comparison, if typed (as opposed to dictated, as in the examples above) "correctly" (i.e. based on the letters printed on the keyboard) on a German keyboard set to imitate a US keyboard:
    y and z are interchanged
    apostrophes appear as "|"
    "(" appears as "*"
    ")" appears as "(" and
    ";" appears as the symbol for "less than"
    Since I don't have a US keyboard, I can't say how it would behave if set to imitate a German keyboard, i.e. if there's a correlation to the results I get when I dictate.
    Since I was previously able to dictate correctly into SpeakPad by setting the keyboard to "German" and into Word by setting the keyboard to "US," I presume that this is a problem in Leopard, not ViaVoice.
    *OTHER PROBLEMS WITH VIAVOICE UNDER LEOPARD*
    In addition to the aforementioned key mapping problems (that may be specific to those of us with foreign keyboards), ViaVoice appears to have lost considerable functionality in Leopard. I cannot access SpeakPad's Preferences and the correction window. Moreover, the traffic-light like window buttons have disappeared from the VoiceCenter (although they work if you click where they should be). SetupAssistent appears to function.
    I've written to Nuance about these problems, but have little hope that they will invest the time in producing a patch since they haven't released any updates since 2003.

    Thrums1,
    I've never had to "register" ViaVoice after updating the system. I thus suspect you haven't fully followed my above, three-step advice (particularly step 3).
    1) Reinstall ViaVoice from CD.
    2) Update to the latest version (using the patch downloadable from Nuance's website).
    3) Replace the “temp” and “users” folders (in the "ViaVoice" folder at the upper level of your home directory) by a previous copy thereof. When I say previous copy, I mean a copy from when ViaVoice was still working properly, e.g. a copy from when it was running under Tiger.
    As I said, I've gotten ViaVoice to survive several system updates by following the above steps. To my knowledge, the last step is critical since it saves you from having to reconfigure ViaVoice under the new operating system (in this case Leopard). I suspect that ViaVoice is crashing on your system because it's trying to start some module of the SetUpAssistant that is incompatible with Leopard (as many are). If you instead use old copies of the "temp" and "users" folders (from the previous system), then ViaVoice doesn't have to go through the initial "registration" process; ViaVoice doesn't need the SetUpAssistant; and all is (more or less) fine.
    Good luck!
    BTW, to my knowledge, Dictate only runs on Intel Macs. It thus won't run on a G4 iBook, just as it won't run on my PowerBook G4.

  • Mapping problem - Shaded areas in the wrong place

    Hey experts,
    I`ve already contacted you on this issue a few days ago. I created a query, which executes a few key figures mapped to the postalcode.
    I tried to let me display this query on the web, using the WAD. The shapefiles were uploaded correctly, for the contours of the country and the postalcode areas are displayed accurately.
    At the first sight, I thought a performance problem could be the challenge. But I did not find any information on that. On my last post, i received one answer, that I had to adjust the sort order. But that did not bring any results either!
    At the moment, it looks more like a mapping problem in the dBase File to me. How can a proper mapping be achieved? I tried to just add a SAPBWKEY column, like it is proposed here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3b/7c92ec1bed374ee0000800091c1b0e/content.htm.
    An extract of my dBase-File schematically looks like this:
    0country, 0Postalcod, SAPBWKEY
    DE            48900          DE/48900 (for it is a composite attribute)
    The mapping seems to work in a rather random way, because the shaded areas are at least displayed somewhere on the map, but not where they supposed to be, e. g. one district of south Germany in the far north and so on.
    Did you have any similar issues in the past or any tips for a solution?
    Thanks&regards
    Marcus

    Sorry, I guess this is just a bug in some programs including firefox:

  • How to process a SOAP Attachment in XI

    Hi,
    I have a SOAP-RFC-SOAP Synchronous scenario. Here the SOAP Message comes with an attachment. I need to process the SOAP Attachment through XI and need to map the content to the RFC and send the response back to the webservice. Here PayloadSwapBean does not work in Sender soap Adapter. Is there any other option of achieving this.

  • SOAP Attachment & performances for WLI

    Dear all,
    I am implementing webservices, accepting a SOAP attachment as parameter. The implementation is based on Workshop / WLI jws file. The web service is RPC style since WorkShop is unable to generate a correct WSDL file with SOAP atttachment & document style (known limitation from BEA).
    My problem is concerning attachments. Indeed, in my mind, attaachement are there in order to prevent extra load into the XML parser and to speedup processing and avoid heavy use of memory.
    So I made some tests with a simple soap request and attachments. Here are the results (I calculate the time to send and receive response from web service), the web service itself just prints the content type, anything else.
    Attachement size | Time
    39 kb 344ms
    78 kb 406ms
    155 kb 484ms
    300 kb 750ms
    463 kb 1000ms
    1389 kb 4600ms
    2700 kb 23609ms
    5500 kb 140000ms
    Of course, the client and server are running on the same machine and are using the loopback interface. So there is no network bootleneck to take into account.
    As conclusion, we can see that for small messages, (<300kb) the curve is good... But performances start to fall drastically with messages larger than 300kb. This is not a problem of memory but CPU usage (fully used diring the 1400 seconds).
    Any idea, any opened cases ?
    Thansk for all,
    Pascal Bourgeois

    Hope you can use this.
    or do you want to use the soap-headers for this?

  • SOAP attachment - module development?

    Hi,
    I have an IDOC -> SOAP scenario where I have to call a webservice that uses SOAP attachment.
    Example:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ueb="IBrokerInterface">
       <soapenv:Header/>
       <soapenv:Body>
          <ueb:TEBIBrokerInterface_PublishWS>
             <aClientId>TEST</aClientId>
             <aMessage>cid:file.xml</aMessage>
             <aDuplicates>0</aDuplicates>
          </ueb:TEBIBrokerInterface_PublishWS>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    The "file.xml" has to be a SOAP attachment.
    If I use a SOAP receiver channel how do I get the IDOC payload moved into a SOAP attachment and still keep the SOAP envelope?
    Can this only be done with module development?
    Thanks Rasmus

    Hi Rasmus,
    You cannot create an attachment in mapping.
    In PI 7.1 there will be a Java Mapping API for working with attachments, but the code will be similar to an adapter module. It will not be possible with XSLT.

    Stefan

  • (foreign) keyboard mapping problems

    Many people, myself included, have voiced problems with keyboard mappings since updating to Leopard. It appears to particularly afflict people with non-US keyboards, but I may be wrong.
    Does anybody out there have a generic fix? Manually modifying the keyboard map as the Latvians did seems to address (some of) the symptoms, not the underlying problem. Accordingly, it doesn't appear to be a general fix, as reported here:
    http://m10lmac.blogspot.com/2007/10/fixing-leopards-latvian-keyboard.html
    Here are some of the other posts I saw/wrote that make me think this is a SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM IN LEOPARD:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5794935&#5794935
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5644709&#5644709

    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5788789

    Does anybody out there have a generic fix?
    There is no generic fix because the problems are unrelated, except to the extent they represent goofs in creating certain files and failure to find these before release.
    The Latvian keyboard issue is caused by errors in a particular .keylayout file. I don't know of any other similar layout with the same problem (In Tiger it was Macedonian and Romanian which had such errors). The Hanin Chinese IM problem is caused by errors in a couple of files particular to it -- all the other Chinese input systems have correct mappings. The X11 keyboard mapping problem concerns a different part of OS X than the others. The issues of QWERTY/AZERTY/QWERTZ in Chinese input were present in a different fashion in Tiger and earlier and many people have switched to a different IM called QIM to solve it. Having a dead Apple key is not related to ordinary character mapping issues.
    Your own issue with ViaVoice is not totally clear to me, will try to respond in that thread.

  • Modify the SOAP attachment name

    hi,
    I have a Service with Party, which sends messages in SOAP format to XI.
    When the SOAP message sent to XI contains a '&' character in its attachment name, the message gets failed to processed through XI.
    I believe this happens since '&' character is a wildcard character in XML hence XI expects a escape character sequence following it and cannot parse through the '&' character. Also as per the IR tests executed for the SOAP message, when the '&' is replaced with its escape sequence the message is processed through successfully.
    Is it possible to replace the '&' character with its escape sequence in the SOAP attachment name before it is processed by the XI Integration Engine. That is at the adapter level?

    hi,
    i have created the Java Mapping .
    in the pdf document How Tou2026Work with Character Encodings in Process Integration from SAP, for the Escape sequences it is said that for adding Escape sequences to the unescaped characters, add the Java mapping before the required mapping.
    however, i am not able to test the interface in the IR even after adding the new Java mapping.
    please suggest.

  • Unable to send a SOAP attachment(pdf) in a BPEL process

    Dear Forum,
    I have a requirement to attach a pdf and send it as part of a BPEL process response. Following are the details,
    1) I have a webservice which does the logic of building the pdf and returns it as a SOAP attachment. I have tested this service through SOAP UI and it works fine.
    2) I have a BPEL process which invokes the above webservice and returns the received pdf as a SOAP attachment.
    3) Since BPEL designer doesn't directly support the MIME attachments, I have modified the WSDL related to BPEL process to include MIME parts. Followed the steps as mentioned in the SOA suite documentation - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B14099_19/integrate.1012/b14448/manipdoc.htm#BABDEEEB
    4) I have tested my bpel service through SOAP UI tool (cannot test it in 'em' console since my service has mime parts) but unable to receive the pdf attachment. BPEL process is throwing the following exception,
    <Mar 26, 2012 5:21:07 PM EDT> <Warning> <oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.renderkit
    .rich.TreeRendererUtils> <BEA-000000> <Context menu child is not a RichMenu>
    <Mar 26, 2012 5:22:19 PM EDT> <Error> <oracle.soa.bpel.engine.ws> <BEA-000000> <

    hment(AttachmentManagerImpl.java:144)
    From the SOAP UI response(error message), I found that 'Content-Type' for this request is coming as 'text/xml' rather than 'mimemultipartrelated'. Is it not possible to send pdf attachments through BPEL? Please provide your inputs to resolve this issue. I am stuck up with this issue for a while now.

    Hi Vamsee,
    In my case pdf is returned by a webservice, not from any physical location. The example given there shows attaching a pdf file from physical location. But I will get the pdf as part of another webservice response. So I am assigning the attachment to a bpel variable after getting the webservice response. This is where my bpel process is throwing an exception mentioned above.
    Regards,
    Satya.

  • RH8 image map problem

    I created an image map back in RoboHelp 6 and it worked perfectly. When I converted my project recently to RoboHelp 8, the image map pop-ups are not working correctly. I've checked the properties of the image map and they are correct. But the pop-up boxes do not display correctly. I'm going to attached an example of how the same one displays in RH6 and RH8 and a screen shot of my settings.
    Can anyone help me with this?

    After much trial and error testing around this image map issue, I cannot seem to find a fix for image maps within RoboHelp 8. No matter what I've tried (and it was a lot), nothing seems to fix the image map problem. Even creating a new image map on a new page with totally different info, pop up pages, image, etc. and turning OFF all breadcrumbs - the image map does not display correctly once generated (nor in preview).
    I have found a VERY TEDIOUS workaround for this (that I'm not happy about). If I take my original pop-up topic htm pages (9 of them) from my RoboHelp 6 project and the original eHlpDhtm.js file from RH6 and place them in my output Help file from RH8 (overwriting the RH8 with the RH6 files), then the image map works correctly.
    The eHlpDhtm.js file has many more scripts in it than just the image map triggers, so I'm not sure what all else I'm affecting when I'm fixing one problem (i.e. not sure how many more problems I'm creating at the same time when fixing one problem.)
    It's almost like the "breadcrumbs" feature in RH8 has broken the image maps feature in RH8.
    I'm still up for more suggestions as how to fix this if anyone has any ideas.
