SOAP Help Building Request With Nested Tags

I have been struggling with Apache SOAP to try and build a request. Specifically, I don't understand how to embed these elements into the Header and Body sections. More specifically, how to do this nested tags.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
Below, is a sample of the request I need to send to the server.
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
     <SOAP-ENV:Header>
          <ContinueHeader xmlns="http://www.openuri.org/2002/04/soap/conversation/">
               <uniqueID>111111111111111</uniqueID>
          </ContinueHeader>
     </SOAP-ENV:Header>
     <SOAP-ENV:Body>
          <subscribe xmlns="http://xxxx/xxxx/xxxx/service">
               <comHdr>
                    <WSCredentials>
                         <UserName>xxxxxxx</UserName>
                         <Password>xxxxxxxx</Password>
                    </WSCredentials>
               </comHdr>
          </subscribe>
     </SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>

I can add the <UserName>xxxxxxx</UserName> <Password>xxxxxxxx</Password> to the body of the request using:
Vector parms = new Vector();
parms.addElement(new Parameter("UserName", String.class, username, null));
parms.addElement(new Parameter("Token", String.class, password, null));
call.setParams(parms);I just don't know how to add those tags within the <comHdr> and <WSCredentials> tags.

  • Help with nesting tags (STRUTS)

    Hi,
    I'm having a few problems with the following nested tag:
    <input name="indicator_target_<bean:write name='indicators' property='indicator_id'/>" size="10" value="<bean:write name="TargetValuesActionForm" property="indicator_target_<bean:write name='indicators' property='indicator_id'/>"/>"/>
    The page returns no getter method for "indicator_target_", but i'm not trying to get the "indicator_target_" value i'm trying to get the "indicator_target_ + id" (i.e. indicator_target_23) value. For some reason the nested _<bean:write name='indicators' property='indicator_id'/> tag which is part of the input 'value' param is being ignored?
    anyone know how I can resolve this?

    One of the first rules of JSP custom tags - you cannot use a tag as an attribute to another tag. For dynamic attributes you have to use a runtime expression. - either <%= expr %> or in a JSP2.0 container ${expr} as well.
    Your "input" tag is plain template html. So you can use custom tags for the values of the attributes.
    The one that is failing is
    <bean:write name="TargetValuesActionForm" property="indicator_target_<bean:write name='indicators' property='indicator_id'/>"/>
    I am presuming you are in a logic:iterate loop, or equivalent.
    Something like this might work:
    <bean:define id="currentId"  name='indicators' property='indicator_id'/>
    <bean:write name="TargetValuesActionForm" property="<%= "indicator_target_" + currentId %>"/>However all of this is very nasty.
    And struts can do at least part of this for you with indexed properties. You might want to take a look at them.
    Hope this helps,

  • Custom taglib with nested tag not working

    Hi everybody,
    I have a question concerning a custom taglib. I want to create a tag with nested child tags. The parent tag is some kind of iterator, the child elements shall do something with each iterated object. The parent tag extends BodyTagSupport, i have overriden the methods doInitBody and doAfterBody. doInitBody initializes the iterator and puts the first object in the pageContext to be used by the child tag. doAfterBody gets the next iterator object and puts that in the pageContext, if possible. It returns with BodyTag.EVAL_BODY_AGAIN when another object is available, otherwise BodyTag.SKIP_BODY.
    The child tag extends SimpleTagSupport and does something with the given object, if it's there.
    In the tld-file I have configured both tags with name, class and body-content (tagdependent for the parent, empty for the child).
    The parent tag is being executed as I expected. But unfortunately the nested child tag does not get executed. If I define that one outside of its parent, it works fine (without object, of course).
    Can somebody tell me what I might have missed? Do I have to do something special with a nested tag inside a custom tag?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Greetings,
    Peter

    Hi again,
    unfortunately this didn't work.
    I prepared a simple example to show what isn't working. Perhaps it's easier then to show what my problem is:
    I have the following two tag classes:
    public class TestIterator extends BodyTagSupport {
        private Iterator testIteratorChild;
        @Override
        public void doInitBody() throws JspException {
            super.doInitBody();
            System.out.println("TestIterator: doInitBody");
            List list = Arrays.asList(new String[] { "one", "two", "three" });
            testIteratorChild = list.iterator();
        @Override
        public int doAfterBody() throws JspException {
            int result = BodyTag.SKIP_BODY;
            System.out.println("TestIterator: doAfterBody");
            if (testIteratorChild.hasNext()) {
                pageContext.setAttribute("child", testIteratorChild.next());
                result = BodyTag.EVAL_BODY_AGAIN;
            return result;
    public class TestIteratorChild extends SimpleTagSupport {
        @Override
        public void doTag() throws JspException, IOException {
            super.doTag();
            System.out.println(getJspContext().getAttribute("child"));
            System.out.println("TestIteratorChild: doTag");
    }The Iterator is the parent tag, the Child shall be shown in each iteration. My taglib.tld looks like the following:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <taglib
         xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee web-jsptaglibrary_2_1.xsd"
         xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
         xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="2.1">
         <tlib-version>1.0</tlib-version>
         <short-name>cms-taglib</short-name>
         <uri>http://www.pgoetz.de/taglibs/cms</uri>
         <tag>
              <name>test-iterator</name>
              <tag-class>de.pgoetz.cms.taglib.TestIterator</tag-class>
              <body-content>tagdependent</body-content>
         </tag>
         <tag>
              <name>test-iterator-child</name>
              <tag-class>de.pgoetz.cms.taglib.TestIteratorChild</tag-class>
              <body-content>empty</body-content>
         </tag>
    </taglib>And the snippet of my jsp is as follows:
         <!-- TestIterator -->
         <cms:test-iterator>
              <cms:test-iterator-child />
         </cms:test-iterator>The result is that on my console I get the following output:
    09:28:01,656 INFO [STDOUT] TestIterator: doInitBody
    09:28:01,656 INFO [STDOUT] TestIterator: doAfterBody
    09:28:01,656 INFO [STDOUT] TestIterator: doAfterBody
    09:28:01,656 INFO [STDOUT] TestIterator: doAfterBody
    09:28:01,656 INFO [STDOUT] TestIterator: doAfterBody
    So the child is never executed.
    It would be a great help if anybody could tell me what's going wrong here.
    Thanks and greetings from germany!

  • ABAP runtime error in sxmb_moni when SOAP message has header with some tags

    Hi!!!
    I have a problem with sxmb_moni transaction.
    If I double-click on a successfully processed
    message, then this monitor can't show me
    the message details but fails with the following error:
    <COPY_AND_PASTE_FROM_SCREEN>
    Runtime errors         OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO
    Exception              CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
    Occurred on     02.03.2005 at 16:44:21
    Access with 'ZERO' object reference not possible.
    What happened?
    Error in ABAP application program.
    The current ABAP program "CL_XMS_PROP_STRING============CP " had to be
    terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
    This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    </COPY_AND_PASTE_FROM_SCREEN>
    This situation takes place only when I want
    to look at a SOAP message which was sent to XI
    from .Net platform or was sent to
    .Net platform from XI (via SOAP adapter).
    In all other cases sxmb_moni works fine.
    I know that the problem is connected with some tags from Header record of SOAP message:
          <soap:Header>
             <wsa:Action>http://aaa.bbb.ccc/MessageResponse</wsa:Action>
             <wsa:MessageID>uuid:1838f870-1688-4cfe-8c4f-afe14d98c515</wsa:MessageID>

                </wsu:Timestamp>
             </wsse:Security>
          </soap:Header>
    If I take a SOAP message I have problem with, and
    I remove all tags from this Header (or remove
    the whole Header) and send it from any XML editor
    that can send SOAP messages then sxmb_moni hasn't
    any problems with showing me details of a such message.
    Any hints how to force a .Net platform not to send
    a such header or how to force sxmb_moni transaction
    not to fail if a such header occurs?
    Regards,
    Andrzej Filusz

    Hi Santhosh
    1.Check your authorization settings in XI and R/3. Whether the user has sufficient rights to execute the Function Module etc. This is the most common reason for this error.
    2.If the XI system was brought online even before the R/3 system then re-activate the communication channels from the Integration directory.
    Cheers..

  • Help with nested tags

    Hello,
    I need to do something like this:
    <rss:forEachItem feedId="popes80" startIndex="1" endIndex="5">
       <html:link href="<rss:itemLink feedId='popes80' />" >
             <rss:itemTitle feedId="popes80" />
        </html:link>
    </rss:forEachItem>And I'm having problems because it is "not valid xml", I guess it is because the <rss:itemLink> inside the href.
    I tried everything and I'm out of ideas...
    I'm using the library rss utilities and it comes with no source code and no docs...
    I tried Rome and it's too complicated for my simple case, I tried rsstag but it uses SAX which even gives me more problems ...
    Does anyone know what can I do whith my code? Or maybe how to disable in my jboss to check the valid xml ?
    Thanks in advance for your help!

    You can't have custom tags as attributes to other custom tags.
    You can only have exressions. Either ${elExpression} or <%= scriptletExpression %>
    Here is one approach using the JSTL tag library. It evaluates the rss:itemLink tag, stores it to an attribute and then uses that value with the html:link tag.
    <rss:forEachItem feedId="popes80" startIndex="1" endIndex="5">
       <c:set var="itemLink"><rss:itemLink feedId='popes80' /></c:set>
       <html:link href="${itemLink}" >
             <rss:itemTitle feedId="popes80" />
        </html:link>
    </rss:forEachItem>

    Hi
    i was using AWM since 9i just because it creates OLAP metadata with a new API called CWM2, and Oracle Enterprise Manager was using a propietary API .
    With AWM 10.1.0.4 building your OLAP metadata is very simple, you can define your Dimensions, cubes, measures and even you can load your data from your source system.
    You can refer to the Oracle® OLAP Application Developer's Guide where you can find more information on this tool.
    And relative to your error i will recommend that you build on a dimension-by-dimension basis and try to validate your OLAP Metadata.

  • Please help! Stuck with nested swf's

    I have a SWF that rotates between different ads (like
    gamespot.com). See the buttons they have in the bottom right of the
    main picture? That's what I'm trying to create. The easiest way I
    can find seems to be by loading in a SWF with each individual
    button inside. The only problem is that I can't get the little SWFs
    to communicate with the big SWF. I've tried _parent, _root, and
    everything else I could think of. Any ideas? Or is there a better
    way to do this?

    Dear experts.
    1. I have one question that can I code like below.
    2. And what is the mean of "$something$". when I run the page I met the error $TVCID$ is no more supported from design2003.
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn  columnName    = "myicon"

                              tooltip       = "$CARRNAME$" />
         </htmlb:link>
    </htmlb:tableViewColumn>

    Hi.
    You have more options to solve the problem.
    First you can set your design to 2002.
    <htmlb:content design = "DESIGN2002" >
    or
    you can use an iterator
    or
    you can use the following code

                           linkClickTarget = "ONCLICK" (<- InputProcessing)

    In application one i exposed a web service method.In this application their is a handler class which able to handle soap request and response with attachment.
    In application two a client is sends a soap request with attachment.
    If i deploye it in oc4j it is working fine. But if i Deploye to JBoss server [i made a jboss application server connection] and then trying to send the soap request with attachment from the client application i gets the following errors--

    Am i made any mistake to deploye to jboss or it is not possiable to access the web service in such way?
    please suggest me what is the procedure to recover from this.

    Hello,
    How do you package you WS client application to be deployed in JBoss?
    The JAX-RPC clients are not that portable you may need to recompile the client with JBoss WebService implementation/tools, and check that you do have the different deployment descriptors for the client too.

  • SOAP Request with Web Service Security

    Hi masters of XI,
    the Oasis standard for web services security saids that exists three levels of security for web services, at higher level is Encryption, middle level is signature and at lower level is authentication with username and password inside the soap envelope.
    I need to do a SOAP Request signed with a X.509 certificate and username and password too in SAP PI 7.0 SP11. I can sign the request with X.509 certificate without problems but i can't authenticate the request with username and password in usernametoken element like saids the Oasis standard
    <wsse:Security>
    <wsse:UsernameToken>
    <wsse:Username>XXXX</wsse:Username>
    <wsse:Password>XXXXXXXXX</wsse:Password>
    </wsse:UsernameToken>
    </wsse:Security>
    How can we send UserNameToken's elements inside SOAP web service envelope
    signing with X.509 certificate also? There are any way to do it in the
    receiver agreement or receiver SOAP adapter?
    thanks.

    Hi,
    thank you very much for your answers.
    I have solved the SSL comunication and i can sign with X.509 certificates. My problem is that in the SOAP envelope of resquest signed only travels the X.509 certificate and I need to send the username security token (wsse:UsernameToken) also.
    <wsse:Security>
    <wsse:UsernameToken>
    <wsse:Username>XXXX</wsse:Username>
    <wsse:Password>XXXXXXXXX</wsse:Password>
    </wsse:UsernameToken>
    </wsse:Security>
    I can't find the solution to do it. The Netweaver documentation says that Netweaver is able to sign SOAP request with X.509 certificates and is able too for using UsernameToken as part of Oasis standard for web service security. In abap stack of NW you can assign a security profile to a web service call for signing the message or authenticate it with username/password inside SOAP envelope, but in java stack of XI i think that there is no way to do it.
    This is my Request:

  • Nested tags with a List of Objects

    I'm having trouble getting nested tags to work. Here's an example:
    My form has a List that contains a Bean called Car as well as a getter and a setter. The Car Bean has three String attributes: color, model and manufacturer. Getters and setters are present.
    When I navigate to the form, my Action class creates a single Car and adds it to the list: when the page loads I am presented with three text fields representing my Car bean. Good.
    However when I enter some text into the fields and hit the save button I get the following error:
    Error 500: BeanUtils.populateI've read a bit about nested tags but still I can't figure out what exactly I'm doing wrong.
    Here is a small sample of the JSP code;
    <html:form action="/addCar.do">
    <nested:iterate name="carForm" property="carList" type="com.foo.bean.CarBean">
      <nested:text property="color"></nested:text>
      <nested:text property="model"></nested:text>
      <nested:text property="manufacturer"></nested:text>
    </nested:iterate>
    </html:form>Should I be doing something else to properly use a nested tag? Please let me know if more details are required.
    Thank you,

    I am using crystal reports to show names of a bunch of people. insted of each name comes form different function inside the oracle package, I would like to have a single function with an array of names so that I can return it easily
    eg; board member 1 (from function 1)
    board member 2 (from function 2)
    board member 3 (from function 3)
    I should get something like board member n(from a single function that has n number of members) , so that its easy for managing the list later and reduce the code
    This sounds so silly, but i am new to both crystal and pl/sql....
    please help
