Cross company production with subcontracting

Hello Experts,
I have two company codes say C1 & C2. When I get the requirement of 1000 nos of FG X, all material will be procured in C1 & 1st operation will be performed in C1. Due to capacity issue, 2nd operation have 1 production line in C1 & 1 production line in C2.  So the 2nd operation for 700 nos will be carried out in C1 & 300 nos will be carried out in C2. All materials required on prod line in C2 will be send by 57F4.
How to go for this scenario?
Regards,
Sagar

Hi Sagar,
Create 2 level of BoM in C1 like FG = X and SFG = Y.
Here, the output of SFG  = Y will be called Input for FG in Plant C1 and as an Input again for Plant C2.
Say you need 1000 SFG to manufacture 1000 FG. You have got capacity constraints for producing 1000 FG in Plant C1, the please follow the below process,
1. Create, Release, Issue RMs and GR a Production/ Process order for SFG for 1000 in Plant C1.
2. Create, Release, Issue SFG and other required RM and GR a Production/ Process order for FG for 700 in Plant C1. Here you will consume 700 SFG.
3. Create a subcontracting PO for 300 FG. With the Subcontracting PO transfer 300 SFG to Plant C2. You need to show Sales Purchase for SFG 300.
4. Create, Release, Issue SFG and other required RM and GR a Production/ Process order for FG for 300 in Plant C2. Here you will consume 300 SFG.
I think the decision of how much to be transferred to Plant C2 is totally depedant upon capacity available in Plant C1. The Production Planner or the Line Scheduler is the right person to decide how much quantity to be subcontracted to Plant C2.
The SD and MM processes are pretty straight but as far as Excise configuration and requirements are concern the composite meetings and decision by PP, MM, SD and CO team would really help you.

  • Cross company STO with thirt party sales

    Hi,
In cross company STO while creating the delivery in vl10b I am getting the delivery created with zero quantity(with quantity 10 in the po) and a service acceptance document is created.Clarify what setting  i am missing .
Also need the process flow of cross company sale with third party sales process.
    Thanks

    Hello
You should use transaction CO09 to check ATP situation, with checking rule B
    for deliveries.
If there is enough ATP quantity a delivery can be created. Please check
using transaction CO09 with checking rule B, also please review attached
    Notes 123500 and 89362.
Please also check note 848739: ATP check incorrect with delivery for
purchase order as a posssible solution.
    hope this helps,

  • Posting of cross company transaction with different doc types

    Hi,
    The scenario is:-
We have two companies X and Y.
X makes a payment to Y with the following FI entries:-
    Company Code X
    Dr Vendor Y
    Cr Bank HDFC
    Company Code Y
    Dr Bank ICICI
    Cr Customer X
Now this needs to be a cross company transaction where the doc type for CC X should be vendor Payment 'KZ' while the doc type for CC Y should be a customer reciept with doc type 'DZ'.
Although I am able to map the accounts in cross company code config I am not able to split the transaction of different company codes with different document types.
Is there any way we can do this in standard SAP?
    Thanks in advance,
    Nitish

    Hi
As per your issue ...There are no possibilities to post   in sap with different document types.
If you want you can post cross company code transactions with one document types

  • Cross Company Return With Delivery

    Hi friends,
I am trying to setup a return process with delivery between two companies using two-step procedure.
Currently Company A purchases products from Company B with a PO document copied from standart PO document NB.
When saving the PO a delivery is created automatically. (we use automatic delivery creation but it is optional indeed)
Supplying plant, here the company A, makes goods issue using VL02N.
Receiving plant, here the company B, then makes the goods receipt against outbound delivery using MIGO.
The delivery type used here is copied from the standart delivery type NLCC and the delivery item is copied from standart delivery item NLC. This is the forward process.
The movement types here are 643 (GI from supplying plant), 101 (GR to the receiving plant)
In fact I made the return process with a one-step procedure.
I assigned a return delivery type, copied from standart delivery type NRC, to the PO document in customizing returns to vendor.
And then I made the automatic delivery creation customizing for the PO document within related shipping point.
After customizing steps completed I tested the process.
When I save the PO, the delivery is created automatically with type NRC.
In transaction VL02N, I see the "Save Goods Receipt" button because this is one-step.
The goods receipt and and goods issues takes place at the same time in the same document  when I push that button.
The movement types are 675 (GR to the supplying plant, A), 161 (GI from receiving plant, B)
Here my question is to realize this return process with two step.
What steps should I follow to make this change? What can be missing?
Is it obligatory to check the "return item indicator" in return PO?
Related threads are helpful but I didn't understand which movement types should be used in two step procedure and how and where can I determine that?
Below link says the two step procedure should be done with 673 but
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPSCM/Returnwithdeliveries
How can I set this up?
    Thanks in advance,
    Yusuf Gezer

    Hi again friends,
I found the answer to that question.
The customizing that below path shows how the movement types are determined during VL02N.
IMG -> Sales and Distribution -> Sales  -> Sales Document -> Schedule Lines -> Define Schedule Line Categories.
In my question, existing movement type has been set  as 675 for "Movement Type 1-Step" field in related schedule line category, which is assigned to delivery item used.
(Delivery item is also assigned to delivery type)
In same customizing, also there is a field named "Movement Type" just upside of the previously mentioned field. It has been also set as 675.
Changing this "Movement Type" field, I mean upper one, to 673, the process becomes two step.
    That's it, everything works fine.
However, this change may affect many processes using the same schedule line category.
That means, if you copy the existing delivery schedule lin category, you'll need a new delivery item, and a new delivery type to use, for your system not to be affected.
    Thank you.

  • Cross company sales with multiple operating concern

    Hi all,
I'm going to implement cross company sales in a system that is already live.
I think that it really fit to the new requirement of the client , that want to allow the possibility of creating a sales order from sales organization A1 of company A, for the plant of company B (related to sales organization B1).
however the company A and B are also assigned to different controlling area and different operating concern.
It would be possible to have the cross company sales order in both operating concern? Or in which one I will have the sales order?
    Many thanks.
    Paolo

    Hi
Inter Co sale will happen whether or not your comp code is assigned to separate Op concern or same
The sales order must be created by the selling entity
I would personally prefer Inter Co STO process if the material codes are same across the 2 companies involved here.. This STO can be raised by the Co who is receiving Sales order from the End Customer

  • Cross company production cost

    Hello All,
    My question is:
When I post a goods movement(cross plants belong to different company), i want to change the value
    at the FI document:
    case:
    Plant A,  company code A, Material  M01, standard price = 10 usd/pc
    Plant B,  company code B, Material  M01, standard price = 12 usd/pc,    Production order B01,
Now, I want to post material M01 from Plant A directly to Production order B01via movement type 261.
i don't want to do good transfer from plant A to B, and then post it to production order.
    then system generate FI doc:
    @Plant A:
                    Dr  inter company    10
                      Cr   Stock                 10
       this is correct.
    @Plant B:
                   Dr  Production cost    10
                      Cr  Inter company      10
this is correct too,  but this is not what i want, i would like it to be::
                   Dr  Production cost    12
                      Cr  Inter company       12
because, the standard price of M01@plant B is 12,
how can i achieve it? substitution is OK for this?
    Thanks very much!

  • STPO-Cross company code with billing

    hi all,
how to do stpo with billing step by step?
    regards
    sv

    Hi,
    Pricing configuration for STO: -
In SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Schema Determination > Determine Schema for Stock Transport Orders > Here assign Calculation Schema "RM2000" i.e. Stock Transfer Document to Schema Grp Pur. Org, STO Type (For e.g. UB) and Supplying Plant.
Calculation Schema "RM2000" has condition type P101 which will pick up the MAP of supplying plant automatically during creation of STO in ME21N ("Conditions" Tab).
You can create new freight / delivery cost conditions in M/06 for Margin and assign in pricing procedure "RM2000" in M/08 and also assign the Accrual Key to this and do the Account Determination for this Accrual Key in OBYC
    At the time of PGI, following accounting entry will get generated;
    Stock A/c - Dr - 110 INR (Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 INR (Supplying Plant)
Margin Account - Cr - 10 INR (Supplying Plant)

  • Cross-Company Stock Transfer with Delivery and Billing

    Hello Fellow Experts and Friends,
I have a situation at a client in California. The client does Make-to-Order sales. The only materials kept in inventory are raw materials and NREs. This client has plants in several countries around the world but only two are on SAP. The current version is 4.6C.
The scenario goes like this. The plant in China (CC: 2020, Plnt: 0020) wants to order raw materials from the US plant (CC: 1010, Plnt: 0010). If the US plant does not have enough stock in inventory, an order needs to be placed with a local vendor. When all materials a re available to ship,we need to deliver to and invoice the China plant. Additionally, shipment notification needs to be sent to the plant in China.
IWould someone please be so kind as to helpme with a "Best Practice" process flow for Cross-Company STO with Delivery and Billing? I also need guidlines for customizing the process in the IMG. This process must include issuing a PO to a local vendor for ordering additional inventory. For the shipment notification, I was thinking of an EDI Advance Shipment Notice if the receiving plant uses EDI. I need a different option, If the receiving palnt does not use EDI.
I am open to your suggestions.
    Thanks,
    AJ

    Arthur,
Once this is correctly set up it works very, very well.  And the cross-company supply scenario is actually fairly simple, streamlined and automated.  However, this is NOT such a simple process to set up.
True cross-company supply, all the way through, requires a LOT of configuration which ties in SD, MM, FI, and EDI.  It uses "wrap-around" IDocs to do some of the cross-posting in other company codes.  There is also the issue of Intercompany markups, as well as Intercompany eliminations.
There are LOTS of folks who do the painful process of the FULL Order to Cash in one company code, and the full Purchase to Pay in the other.  But this is NOT the right solution and requires almost twice as much transaction processing.
Just for the Intercompany setup, start to finish, I've been working on a "cookbook" to set up all of the modules for almost 10 years now.  I've done it several times, at several companies and it works very well once it is all in place.  However, that cookbook document is about 100 pages long (config settings, IMG settings, master data requirements, EDI settings, etc.).
Also, in your scenario you are talking about multi-sourcing parts from other locations.  All of the related MRP settings are a separate setup issue.
What you are asking is WAYYYYyyy beyond the scope of forum posting.  So if your company or client could use some help, please feel free to contact me.

  • Cross company code posting in assessment cycle

    Friends,
I developed one assessment cycle to send from Cost center A ( company code A with USD) to Receiver cost centers B ( company code B with CAD) and Cost center C ( Company Code A and USD), When I do the assessment cycle and check the details it is showing me 100% taken out of sender and assessed to B and C.  But when I check cost center report of Cost center A, the credit is not same as the debits ( i made the cycle to take out 100%). When i drilled down in the credits ( sent from assessment cost element), I see object currency to be different from transaction currency ( should be the amount that needs to be credited) even though Object and transactions currencies are in USD.
Any input on why object currency value will be different from transaction currency value even though both are in USD? Is it something because of cross company posting with different currencies? Thanks in advance

  • FBU8 Reverse Cross Company Issue

    Hello,
I have a unique situation that I can't figure out.  One of our A/R clerks posted two cross company code transactions.  The situation is this.

    Co 8520 Doc #####402
    InterCo #######2
    Co 8500 Doc #####891

She reversed all subsequent postings so she could reverse these two intercompany documents.
Reversed Intercompany ######1 with message #####899 reversed but ######402 not reversed.
Reversed Intercompany ######2 with message #####891 reversed but ######400 not reversed.
Now, #######400 will not reverse because it has a cleared document that was cleared by ########402
#######402 will not reverse with the error that document has cleared items but there are no cleared items other then the cross company doc with should be cleared with the cross company reversal.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Rick

    Hi,
Please check if the period in which you are trying to reverse the document is the one that has been closed.
Also check if the document was posted in other modules like SD, MM You may also check if checks have been assigned to these documents,
if yes then you must reverse them first and make them void
the check using FCH9 and then try reversing it.
Check if you have changed any field status group of any account assignment involved in documents during the time document was created and the time you tried to reverse.

  • Cross company sales and GTS

    Esteemed Gurus:
We have a scenario where a sale is made to a 3rd party customer in country A,  The materials are supplied by another company code, in another country (country B) - a typical cross company sale with direct shipment.
ECC will have a sales order, showing suppling plant  in country B, and ship to in Country A.  Export declaration can be created for this based on billing, and will have a outbound delivery and GI.  settlement between the related parties (both in ECC) based on intercompany billing.
However, how to create the GTS import declaration into country A?  There is no inbound delivery or GR.  Is it possible to create an import document based on the export document?  If so, how? Want to avoid any manual creation in GTS of the import declaration.
    Any help appreciated!

    Hi GTS User7,
Yes, it is possible to "mirror" an Export declaration into an Import declaration, with some specific developments however.
I have given some more details about this when I have answered the following thread:
