SOD Error in OIM11.1.1.5

Hi Everyone,
we are implementing SOD for EBS connector where we have configured OAAGC app on tomcat and enabled SOD in OIM, we are getting SOD error below when we tries to provision a user with EBS roles/responsibilities.
ERROR: Error (Error creating persistent provisioning request) occurred during User Provisioning:

  • One role - One transaction - SoD errors

I have a single role with just one transaction in it (F-44).  When I run this singel role through Risk Analysis, I get the following SoD risks.
Risk Description:  P0030LI01 : Create fictitious vendor invoice and initiate payment for it
Conflicting Action:  Clear Vendor (F-44)  and   Clear Vendor (F-44)
This doesn't make any sense.  It only has an "01" under object  F_BKPF_BUK.
I can see a transaction conflicting with another transaction, but against itself? How can I remediate this role?  Our goal is to remediate, not mitigate whenever possible.
    Thanks,
    Peggy

I can't agree with your suggestion because I would want F-44 in both AP01 and AP02 to catch any of the other violations that would exist.  For example, if we had F-44 with F.13, it would be an SoD violation and AP01 would catch it.  And if we had F-44 with FB01 it too would be a violation which AP02 would catch.  So I can't see disabling it from either AP01 or AP02 and I need the objects to be as they are.
We have a number of these SoD errors with other transactions such as  FB02 with FB02 and FBV0 with FBV0 for risk F028 (Both are in AP02 and GL01).
I'm thinking we need to create one mitigation for these types of SoD violations (which really aren't violations).  This should make the auditors happy and we aren't disabling or changing anything that would allow an SoD to get missed.
Do you agree with my thinking?  Does anyone know what the best practice is for these?
    Thanks,
    Peggy

  • SoD Error in Back system

    Hello,
While changing the user in SU01 the following error occured:
SAP Adapter has a problem, SOD violations will not be checked !!!
Please check with your system Administrator
    Technical Info:
Bean VIRSA/RT_JAVA_RISK_ANALYSISnot found on host ulldev, ProgId =GRCRTTOCC5X
I searched and found a thread with the same error but the OSS mentioned in that thread was not opening in the service marketplace (Error was Requested OSS Notes was either in reworking mode or it is released internally)
Can you please help me on this error?
Can you please paste the content of the OSS Note: 1145048
    Regards,
    Kumar Rayudu

    Hello Kumar,
Please check SAP Note 1225960 which has the same issue mentioned and is available for download.
The content of note 1145048 is also pasted below.
    1. Go to Backend system where Risk Terminator is giving this error.
    2. Go to SM59 and delete all (old and new) TCP/IP connections created
for Risk Terminator per note 1060673.
    3. Now go to Visual Admin -> Server<number> -> Services -> JCo RFC
    provider.
Here if you see any entries related to TCP/IP connector you created for
Risk Terminator, delete them all, by clicking 'Remo..' (Remove) button.
    4. Then go to Backend system (where RTA is installed) and follow below
    steps:
    a. SM59 -> click on TCP/IP and click 'Create'.
      b. Give 'RFC Destination' name and it should be EXACTLY 10 character
long. Apart from that first three characters should be System Id. Say
    'PRDGRCCONN' (This is precautionary step).
      c. Now select 'Connection Type' as T.
      d. Give Description.
      e. Under 'Technical Settings' tab select radio button 'Registered
Server Program' and enter 'Program ID' EXACTLY 10 character (This is
compulsary step). And the important thing you have to take care while
giving name is that no character in this program id name should be part
of 'RFC Destination' name given in step 'b.' above. Per above 'RFC
Destination' name, Program ID should be like 'ABEFHIJKLM' (This is
    precautionary step).
      f. Avoid entering value for 'Gateway Host' while creating TCP/IP
    connection.
      g. However 'Gateway service' entry is MUST. Use transaction 'RSGWLST'
    to check the same.
      h. Go to transaction /VIRSA/ZRTCNFG and maintain option 'RFC
destination for release CC5.X' same as 'RFC Destination' given above in
step 'b.' say 'PRDGRCCONN' and 'Save'.
    5. Now go to Frontend Compliance Calibrator 5.2 and follow below steps:
      a. Go to 'Configuration' -> 'Connector' -> 'Search' -> 'Search' ->
select the relevant connector and click 'Change'.
      b. Now change 'Report Name' to be same as Program ID given while
creating TCP/IP connection and per above example it should be
    'ABEFHIJKLM' and 'Save'.
      c. Now 'Logoff' from Compliance Calibrator.
      d. 'Login' again into Compliance Calibrator 5.2 and go to
'Configuration' -> 'SAP Adapter' and click on the grey diamond for the
    relevant SAP system.
      e. If it don't become Green and gives error, then restart J2EE. Else
test Risk Terminator in the Backend system by creating or changing one
    conflicting Role.

But still no success.. Please help me on this.... I am struggling with this from two weeks...

Have you set up a wildcard DNS entry for the spapps.com domain?
Also if you're trying to connect from the server you might be hitting loop back check issues.

  • New SOD and enhanced error handling?

    Hi,
I have been studying the new SOD. It looks very good. The only thing I am missing is enhanced error handling. Has this been dropped or is it under "Numerous functional and performance improvements"?
Being able to catch exceptions from database triggers etc. is the only bigger flaw I see in this great tool ;-)
    Regards Pete

    Pete,
Yes we are still intending to enhance our error handling capabilities.
We have not finalized exactly what enhancements we are making with these yet.
    Regards,
    David

    Hi,
Similar kind of issue people have found in People Soft connectors.
    FYI : http://translate.google.co.in/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E41887_01/doc.111/b72406/testing.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3Doracle.iam.connectors.icfcommon.exceptions.IntegrationException:%2BCan%2527t%2Bread%2Bfrom%2BURL%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DDWM%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official
The solution in PSFT connector was "You must specify the appropriate path for PeopleSoftComponentInterfaces.xml file Lookup.PSFT.Configuration reference."

  • OIM 9.1.0.2 upgrade - error

    Hello Experts,
Currently I am using OIM 9.1.0.1 (Version: 9.1.0.1860.16 Build 1860.16 ) and trying to upgrade it to 9.1.0.2. Downloaded the 9.1.0.2 base (p8484010_9102_Generic.zip) from metalink.
    1. Taken the necessary backup.
    2. Upgrading Oracle Identity Manager Database on Oracle Database --- here it fails
When I issue the below command it fails with error message

  • Error in RAR while approving request from CUP

    Dear GRC Gurus,
I am getting error while approving request in CUP for RAR. Checked the related threads for this issue but still not getting any solution.
Connectors are working fine. Also web service URL is maintained correctly and password for the same is working fine in backend.
    Error message is
Risk analysis failed: Exception in getting the results from the web service : Service call exception; nested exception is: java.rmi.RemoteException:
    Pl help.
    Regards,
    Muskaan

    Hi ,
You need to clarify what you are trying to do, type of request, timeout time, moment it fails...
If you are referring to the RAR SOD web-service call from CUP, the timeout defined may be too short, problems on the web service/backend connectors configuration or performance/resources available. I advise you to see the SAP Notes below.
    Troubleshoot issues with risk analysis, see the SAP Notes 1136379, 1049058, 1145700, 1234807, 1085586, 1061088, 1003239, and 1166368.
This is the most common issue between CUP and RAR when running the SOD analysis, and some times the only solution is to improve the performance of the server with more memory/processor.

  • SODA - Service Oriented Integration of Medical Devices in Hospitals

In this thread I will write about my dissertation project. It addresses the problem of the integration of medical devices with their proprietary interfaces and data models into the existing hospitals´ IT infrastructure.
Interoperability is an almost non-existent feature of medical devices. The consequences of non-interoperable devices in hospitals are manifold. Medical data produced by devices cannot be directly integrated into hospital information systems for medical documentation. Thus, important data will be lost and examinations have to be repeated if required information is not available due to incomplete documentation. In addition, the documentation quality is affected by human errors due to manual nonelectronic steps and media discontinuities. Another example is maintenance. Medical devices have to be maintained at regular intervals. Thus, an inventory of all devices, their status and maintenance intervals is needed for generating a maintenance manual. Currently there is usually no possibility for automatically getting a detailed inventory of all medical devices in a hospital (or section of a hospital).
The market size in conjunction with a multitude of companies and products (the DIMDI information system contains data about 60,000 medical devices) results in challenges concerning interoperability due to different proprietary hard- and software interfaces, data structures and semantical interpretations. Initiatives like IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) are trying to push standardization in the medical sector. However u2013 as mentioned above - the current situation is still unsatisfying and increasingly getting worse due to the continuously growing number of medical devices and associated interfaces.
A promising approach for overcoming interoperability issues is the service oriented device integration, also known as SODA (Service Oriented Device Architecture). The basic concept is the encapsulation of devices as services, analogous to enterprise services in service oriented architectures (SOA). An enterprise service is a software component that offers a business functionality on a highly semantical level by specifying the interface in a standardized way (e.g. by the Webservice Description Language u2013 WSDL). Highly semantical level especially means, that a service is self-descriptive in a way that it can be consumed dynamically and loosely coupled by other components with a consistent understanding of shared data. In the medical domain a device service for instance could offer functionality for measuring the current blood pressure of a patient. Based on such basic services more complex services (like a patient monitoring system) can be realized.
The main advantage of the service oriented approach is that the manufacturer-specific device interface does not have to be known by the service consumer and by the programmer respectively, as it is encapsulated by a standardized service interface. This enables the extension of IT supported medical processes by devices, e.g. by using the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL). In addition new functionalities could be added to the device service that are logically related to the device but not offered by the device itself (e.g. tracking & tracing functionalities); so the device service can be considered as a virtual device. Therefore software maintenance will become easier, because the service interface remains unchanged in case of a device exchange or device interface changes. In my dissertation project I will explore the advantages and obstacles of the SODA concept in comparison to existing approaches for integrating medical devices in hospitals.
The SODA approach is in accordance with the SAP Enterprise SOA (ESOA) strategy. For instance, the scope of the Healthcare Community Definition Group is to further enhance the Enterprise Services (ES) Bundles Patient Administration and Medical Activities, Patient Billing and Invoicing and to define a new ES Bundle on Medical Documentation. SODA projects define services for devices. These services can use or combined with Enterprise Services, e.g., for Patient Administration. In the EU funded project SOCRADES, SAP Research explores the SODA approach in other domains, especially industrial automation.

Hmm, perhaps your other discovery settings are configured that it'll get the OOB OU because you're OOB OU is under some other OU that's configured to be discovered and you have the recursive and group settings turned on, CHECK this first.
Remove the OOB from your discovery. For testing purposes, remove (delete) one or more machine objects from the ConfigMgr console, wait a while and then run the AD System Discovery again and check what object gets there. AD system discovery shouldn't look
objects from other OUs than the ones you've specified in the discovery settings.
I'm not that familiar with vPro, so the behavior you're seeing might well be the default, but I doubt that.. Doen't make sense that you control your computer objects.
For more information you could also post adsysdis.log from the configmgr server.

  • "could not complete your request because of a program error", PDF format, cs2, xp

    1. When edit picture from pdf (from acrobat 7.0.8) in photoshop cs2 901, source pdf can't be saved after closing image in photoshop.
    2. When opening picture in photoshop pdf format, program return "could not complete your request because of a program error". Pdf is saved from same photoshop on same machine.
What is that with cs2? I have buy 24 tlp licenses cs2 premium packets and i can't work like in previous version? This is big disapointed for me from adobe.
How i can resolve above problems?
OS is legal xp with all s. packs.

...this problem is frustrating me now, running intel mac, 10.4.9, PShop 9.02, tried everything without a solution yet, my program error occurs right on launch, change a preference, leave it running in the background, then the icon in my dock starts bouncing at me for attention...
...boot from cd and run disk utility - failed
...trashing all preferences and settings - failed
    ...re-install pshop, update to 9.02 - failed
...boot in safe mode, start pshop and quit, reboot normal mode, start pshop - failed
...recreated printers in printer set up - failed
...program errors occur when software conflicts arise due to an updated operating system.
...so the conclusion i have come up with is it's (according to adobe, apples problem for updating the operating system, and according to apple, adobes problem for updating Pshop), the problem being it is always someone elses problem...
...rosetta has a few issues I'm sure with CS2, not sure adobe want us running CS2 in rosetta really, perhaps we'll all get annoyed enough eventually to have to get the CS3 instead...
...sod the 9.02 update, uninstall it, reinstall and update to 9.01...
    ...works fine...
...except for illustrator cs2 that is, he is quite happy crashing in the background too...
...making quark xpress on rosetta look fantastic. what a headache for everyone...
...this post might sound intolerable, as it goes i'm very tolerable, my boss ain't though waltzing round wandering why he spends his money on this stuff, well, customers money really...

  • Risk analysis in GRC 10 error "Subnode COMPONENTCONTROLLER.1.SEARCH.RESULT"

    HI
We have configured Risk analysis application within GRC 10. Also have executed the sync jobs. Now when i try to do SOD analysis i am getting an error "FPM application started without configuration" . this comes even before opening the link to SOD analysis is even open and this error comes for all type of SOD analysis like for user and role and HR object.
I check the logs file and in logs system is complaing that "Subnode COMPONENTCONTROLLER.1.SEARCH.RESULT_TABLE" does not exist.
Any idea why we getting this error message?
    Parven

    HI
Connector is working fine as sync jobs are running perfectly.
we have done the mimimum configuration setting as suggested by SAP guide ie Parameter 1023, 1024,1025 and 1026
For activating BC sets i think we need to do that only when you using out of box SOD rules. In our case we are using customised SOD rules. So i think we dont need to activate the BC set.
    any other suggestion

  • Printing issue: Server-error service unavailable

Help: It used to work but I suddenly am unable to print, using my intel (early 2006) iMac to an Epson Stylus CX 3200 ... I keep getting a "An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer. server-error-service unavailable. When I go to File > Print, it now says "No printer selected" ... I then go to Print/Fax, add printer, the Stylus shows up, but it will not let me add the printer. I am able to use the Epson printer utility from the computer to cue up the printer to run a head cleaning test...so the iMac is communicating with the printer. Any ideas? Many thanks.

This is great if you happen to be lucky enough to
be running 10.4 already. If you're a poor sod still
running 10.3.9, you're out of luck.
Can someone at Apple please package up a shell script
that will achieve the same effect as "reset printing
system" on 10.3.9? By searching on the forums, I find
lots of other folks besides me (well, it's my Dad really)
