Software differences between USB-6229 and USB-6341 A/D boards?

I am writing code for a treadmill for wheelchair users. We are doing research with users of manual wheelchairs, and this second unit is very important for the clinic where we work. My OS is Windows 7. The Visual Studio is version 2008 (MS Visual C++ 2008).
The code is fairly well developed and has been running for 2 or 3 years on the USB-6229 DAQ board. We have built a second unit, and the people who built it tried to save a little money by purchasing a USB-6341 board (money is very tight in our research clinic, and it saved them about $1000). We were assured by NI customer service that the software would run with no changes on this slightly different board. The Analog outs and digital outs work great with this new board. However, I cannot read the analog inputs correctly. I do block reads where I read back 10 samples from 8 channels with a simple DAQmxReadAnalogF64 read. The data I get back is interesting. 2 of the channels are returning 0 or 1. 2 channels seem to have a relationship to what is going on, but is not at the right amplitiude. and the other 4 channels just have a slowly decaying signal. I have checked all 8 Analog inputs using NI Max test panels, and the A/D card is returning the correct data to NI's test panel software.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi,
The programming for the 6229 and 6341 should be very similar, as both cards use the same DAQmx functions. You mentioned that you tried using MAX Test Panels, did you get the completely correct data when you were using the Test Panels? Also, does this codes still work with the USB-6229? Are you using differential, RSE, or NRSE connections?

hi i have backed up successfully, what i would lke to know for when i restore is what is the difference between "address book" which has 313 contacts and "address book - all" which has 465 contacts, i wonder if one is my hone contacts and the other includes my email contacts, which will be important when i change work, thanks

    Hey sheepshead,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
This is caused by having multiple address books on the BlackBerry smartphone.  This can also cause syncrhonization issues, I would suggest following the steps in this KB article to make address book number the same as address book all: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB19704
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Differences between  hardware thread and software thread?

    Hi ,all!
The Instructions of SPARC V9 have nothing about
thread ID. And there are two bits of CCX packets
    indicating thread ID.
Does it mean that CCX generates the thread ID
of SPARC core? Each SPARC core has one unique ID to identify itself when it receives packets, such as CCX packets, interupt packets and so on. Such ID is defined in the Hyperprivileged register. Maybe you can see UA2005-current-draft-HP-EXT.pdf for more information.
And, what are the differences between hardware
    thread and software thread?
Thanks in advance!Software thread runs on the hardware thread (or strand).

  • What is the difference between, Configuration Components and Software Comp?

    Experts,
Can somebody tell me, What is the difference between, Configuration Components and Software Components?

    Hi,
    Configuration Objects:
You use configuration objects to help you to structure and organize your configuration data in the Integration Directory
You can group configuration objects by using configuration scenarios.
    The following configuration objects exist:
    1) Collaboration profile objects
        -Communication Party
       -Service
       -Communication Channel
    2)  Logical routing objects
      - Receiver determination
      - Interface determination
    3)  Collaboration agreement objects
       -   Sender Agreement
       -  Receiver Agreement

  • Core differences between Asset intelligence and Software Metering

    Hello all,
    A small doubt,
What all are the core differences between Asset intelligence and Software Metering.
I am asked to implement License management for certain software in my environment using SCCM 2012 R2, where I should get the report on number of licenses of one particular software used during particular timing. Will this be possible using Software metering
    alone.
Is there any extra cost involved in for software metering or asset intelligence?
    Regards,
    Vishnu
    V I S H N U

    Hi,
    1. Software metering allows you to create a rule and meter application usage very granular, when it is started, how many times , how long it has been used e.t.c, Asset intellegence doesn't require you to create any rules it will only inventory start/stop
so you can get reports like "all computers that hasn't started a application in x days".
2.It depends on the license agreement for that application, but yes you can get how many has started a specific application within a timeframe.
    3.No

  • What's the difference between the ssd and hd?

I'm in the process of buying a Mac book pro but wanted to know and understand What's the difference between the ssd and hd?

    DDHeadley wrote:
What's the difference between the ssd and hd?
HD = hard drive, several metal platters stacked and data read/written magnetically.
Pro's - less expensive and higher capacity of storage. Can scrub the drive of unwanted data. Unlimited write capability.
Con'- bit rot can cause data and operating system to not be as reliable, mechanical moving parts means you can't move the machine while it's on.
SSD = Solid State Disk, basically memory chips that can store data in a permanent fashion without power (like Random Access Memory needs)
Pro's - faster read/write speeds in most cases. Shock resistant makes them ideal for portable uses.
Con's - new technology issues, one cannot securely erase the data on them, unless it's ground into a fine powder. Limited write capability means they will wear out eventually like USB thumb drives do. Wear leveling (TRIM) is used to spread the writes evenly across the drive to maximize it's lifespan.
If you can respect the machine, take care of it and not move it while it's on, or need to scrub the drive of unwanted data, or need higher capacity of storage without paying a fortune for a very large SSD, then a HD makes a lot of sense.
It really comes down to your privacy, do you want a machine you cannot delete files off of?
Do you want to carry around a machine that has all your dirty secrets etched in it for anyone with the right software to uncover?
A computer is a personal machine, why it's called a Personal Computer. We all do things we sometimes are later ashamed of and want to erase all memory of it.
Can't do that with a SSD, it knows all and you will be forced to destroy the machine to rid it of the unwanted data.

  • Difference between ULTRA ATA and SERIAL ATA

    Hello,
What is the difference between ULTRA ATA and SERIAL ATA ?? Is the connector different for each type ?? Thanks in advance.
    Robert Lespérance

Was wondering why you are considering a ATA drive? The iMac G5 als has a serial ata drive already.
If you are considering an external drive, then you have a problem. The most important thing there is that you get a drive with firewire interface because I think they are the fastest, but USB is an ok choice. If there is an external firewire drive that also uses a serial ATA drive inside of it, then that would be an excellent choice for speed. USB or Firewire are standards for connecting a peripherial to you Mac. An external drive will probably have a very common, read Mactor, WD, Seagate, ATA drive in it. The external drive case has a interface inside of it which allows USB or Firewire to speak with the ATA drive, any flavor. Some people just purchase a powered external 3 1/2 case and install the hd they like the best, that is the nice thing about standards.
I think serial ATA will pretty much spell the end of all of the older ATA drives. The serial drives are actually very competitive in price now and faster.
Suggest you go to Western Digital, Maxtor, and/or Seagate's web sites to learn what drives they offer.

  • What is difference between 32 bit and 64 bit sql server memory management

What is difference between 32 bit and 64 bit sql server memory management
    Thanks
    Shashikala

This is the basic difference...check if helps:
A 32-bit CPU running 32-bit software (also known as the x86 platform) is so named because it is based on an architecture that can manipulate values that are up to 32 bits in length. This means that a 32-bit memory pointer can store a value between 0 and
4,294,967,295 to reference a memory address. This equates to a maximum addressable space of 4GB on 32-bit platforms
On the other hand 64-bit limit of 18,446,744,073,709,551,616, this number is so large that in memory/storage terminology it equates to 16 exabytes. You don’t come across that term very often, so to help understand the scale, here is the value converted to
    more commonly used measurements: 16 exabytes = 16,777,216 petabytes (16 million PB)➤ 17,179,869,184 terabytes (17 billion TB)➤ 17,592,186,044,416 gigabytes (17 trillion GB)➤
As you can see, it is significantly larger than the 4GB virtual address space usable in 32-bit systems; it’s so large in fact that any hardware capable of using it all is sadly restricted to the realm of science fiction. Because of this, processor manufacturers
decided to only implement a 44-bit address bus, which provides a virtual address space on 64-bit systems of 16TB. This was regarded as being more than enough address space for the foreseeable future and logically it’s split into an 8TB range for user mode
and 8TB for kernel mode. Each 64-bit process running on an x64 platform will be able to address up to 8TB of VAS.

  • Difference between unit testing and integration testing

What is the difference between unit testing and integration testing in SAP? Is unit testing takes place in Dev client and integration testing takes place in QA system?
    Please clarify
    thanks

    Hello Krishen,
unit testing means veryfiingsmall / the smallet pieces of software, while integration testing checks the overall functionality of applications. Within the AS ABAP the tool ECATT + manual tests is used for integration tests and the ABAP Unit language integration for unit testing.
When, Who, Where tests are carried out is ultimately a personal decision. As unit tests are operate even under heavy development they are often the first choice for developers, but the unit tests can also serve for regression tests over a long period. Integration tests tend too be created and executed in later stages as they require often a certain majurity of the software under test.
Beside the mentioned links you may check out ABAP Unit infos also in the Wiki.
