SolMan ticket link implementation in Portal

Hello,
we are using SolMan (ChaRM) as a ticketing system.
Planed is to send ticket owners, users a automatic generated mail with the solman link + ticket number, as soon as the ticket status is changing. Reason for this mail is, that the ticket owner, user has to do something on ticket level. Another status change for further transports or "Question to customer" etc.
As soon as the user is using this link, SolMan is starting via SapGui and asking for userID and password. Users don't have a user ID on SolMan. They all have to go via Portal with SSO.
How can I implement this, that the SolMan link is going via the portal with SSO, starting SolMan with the related ticket ID?
Ticket ID is a varaible, link via the portal, starting solman I would think is fix.

The way how we are working is:
Portal (with SSO, LDAP) --> IViews --> ABAP Backend Applications
The way how we are using SolMan + Ticketing system:
Portal Login (SSO, LDAP) --> user open the IView for SolMan --> starting the transaction for ticketing
Planed is:
Whenever a ticket status is changing under a Charm ticket (workflow ticket), the user is getting an automatic generated SolMan mail with the following information:
HTTP://<servername>:8000/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/DSWP_BSP/DSMOP.HTMLISBSP=X&CMD=NOMI&NCMD=CRMVW&ID=D11FD44B83657E2AE1000000136A420A
This link is starting the SolMan, but require a login to the SolMan without SSO, LDAP use. This means for us, the users would need access direct to SolMan as well, instead to use the SSO, LDAP from the portal.
My question now:
How can we modify the link that it is going via the portal SolMan IView with a parameter for the ticket ID.

The most important part in from my perspective for a implementation consultant is the Project Documentation functionality, where you can get Implementation Content for Enterprise Portal. This includes business scenarios documentation and business process included in the Business Process Repository, how to configure different scenarios and business processes, test cases, etc.
I think you can find some information in the marketplace about this functionality. For example you may find something under service.sap.com/alm -> SAP Solution Manager and Tools.

Publish a link in the portal

Hello.
I want publish a link in the portal of ESS that call a document (file PDF).
I know that I must create a Service and Resource in the T.Code PTARQ.
I want know What type of iview i Should use in the portal?
ie. Transaction Iview, or IAC Iview, ....or Exist an type of iView specific for this?

If you are publishing a PDF why don't you store it in you KM and then create a URL iView that can be created and linked in the Portal.

Cannot view personalize link in the portal header

I cannot see the personalize link in the portal header of the BI portal. I have already verified the two things below:
1) personalize link is enabled in masthead iview through portal content->portal users->standard portal users->default frame work page-> select masthead-> open its properties->enable *Show Link in Masthead: Personalize *
2) The end user role is assigned under content administration->portal content->content provided by sap->end user content->standard portal users->worksets->portal personalization.
What else can i check, please help. I need this for end users to carry out user mapping. Or any other way they can carry out user mapping ?

He can see the masthead property Show link in Masthead: Personalize so I doubt you need to make any changes to the PAR file for masthead.

Implement Supplier Portal

Hi Team,
We are planning to implement supplier portal for our project. The purpose of this, supplier login to this portal to see their qty status by report. How much qty they have supplied and how much qty used by company etc..
Here we have material and vendor (supplier) etc. as a info objects. Different vendor can supply the same material. When the vendor login to the supplier portal to see the report and they have to look only their materials and they can't see the other vendor's material.
How do I control this ?. Do i Need to control this Vendor number info object Authorization level ?.
Pl let me know your thought here and share if any of you come across this situation.

      You can add additional user attributes by following the below procedure..

     You can create an additional Portal attribute for Vendor number. In the Webdynpro code, based on the logged in user you can extract the vendor number and pass it on to the back end BAPI, then you will make use of vendor number in your select query. I feel that this is the simplest solution for your problem.
      Regarding your solution, what if a Vendor has multiple users who access your Portal. I don't think all the users from a vendor will use the same user id, which is not advisable.

Link to other portal page

Hi experts,
I would like to link from a portal page to another portal page. E.g. in Role A there is an iView with a link "xyz". If somebody clicks on he gets to another portal page from Role B (in the same or another window).
Any ideas how to manage this?

you have to import some libraries (in your case it is com.sap.portal.navigation.api_service_api.jar).
You can find it on the server installaton filesystem here:
\usr\sap\EXX\JC0XX\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.navigation.api_service\lib\com.sap.portal.navigation.api_service_api.jar
If you cannot find some classes to import I use this technique: I go to filesystem of the portal to the \usr\sap\EXX\JC0XX\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\ directory (using TotalCommander in my case) and let it search for desired class (in your case it is INavigationNode.class) - you have to set to search also archives (jar files are zipped classes). Now I copy this JAR to my local filesystem and add the library to the project.

Rename the portal Help link in the portal

I need to rename the help link in the portal masthead to some other name. Is there any option to change with out import the masthead par fil in to NWDS and hardcoding the help link name.

Navigate to Content admin> Portal Content -> Portal User ->Standard Portal User

Now open the masthead from tyhe framework https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/weblogs/images/251750294/framework_laout.jpg , there in the properties you will find an entry called as help link , change it over there it works fine .I have tested that for any issues please let me know

Hi,
I developed two ivews. From the first ivew i am calling second ivew by using EPCM.doNavigate and in the second ivew i am placing one hyper link so that again i can go back to first ivew.
I called the same way but it is not showing.Is the histroy.back supports in the portal

SSL implementation on portal development

Hi, All
I have implemented SSL on QA using the standard port 443 and it is working fine.I did the same SSL implementation on portal development using the same port 443 and it doesn't work.When I call up the https url from IE for my portal development it seems like it's not connecting it just stays blank and it is not displaying anything.
However when I change the port to 50001 it works fine nad everything on the web page is displayed but I want it to work on the standard port 443.Please help on rectifying this or any Ideas on how to solve this.

You need to change the http provider service on your DEV portal dispatcher to use port 443 instead of 50001.
Also, make sure there are no other web servers using that portal number on the same host as the DEV portal.

Is there a possibility to implement a Portal Services by EJB Bean?

Let suppose we have a Portal Service class ITestPortalService and EJB called TestEJB
Can we do this in this way or any other way?

I don't think you can do this directly as the portal service is maintained and called from the irj (portal) application, while the EJB beans are called directly from the web application server (as far as I know).
The only think you could do is to have the Portal Service be a bridge, which basically only calls the EJB and returns the results.

Also, about deploying Portal from development server to production server (using Export Import) , do we have to deploy it to all nodes , or can we just deploy it once to the cluster ?
