Solution for color coding Apple Mail mail boxes?

Using OS 10.9.5, I would like to find an Apple or third party solution that would allow me to color-code my mailboxes in Apple Mail version 7.3.

* UPDATE *
If I search for text in an email I am viewing (in the Mail split screen format) the found text still remains grey.
HOWEVER, if I double click the email to open it and then search for text the found text is now in the correct colour.

Edge Code should already highlight .asp files as plain HTML. If you're looking for highlighting of the ASP-specific code, that is something Edge Code does not plan to support out of the box.
It is possible to write an extension that adds this support, but it would not be a small amount of work -- you'd have to write a tokenizer yourself to support syntax highlighting, for example. Color coding messages in Mail (Yosemite) does not work.

I recently installed Yosemite, and I am trying to color code messages the way I have always done using Mail. Apple instructions for Mail (Yosemite) say this: "To color-code messages manually, select the messages in the message list, choose Format > Show Colors, then select a color. Mail changes the background color of the selected messages in the list." When I do this, I get no action. Is there a fix or work-around?

Same problem, same attempts to fix this and without success, but i found solution.
This worked for me: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.appsandbox UnrestrictSpotlightContainerScope -bool true
In my case: this file '/Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.appsandbox.plist' was lost.

Solution for those who tired of Mail crashes

Switch to Entourage - I am using MS Office 2004 one. Despite all the reputation of Microsoft this application JUST WORKS with my many IMAP Gmail, .Mac accounts without crash, and does what it should.
Personally, I am out of all 'fancy' features from Mail 3.0 for the moment and wait until Apple has a fix, because nothing worked in my case, even Apple support could not help.

I'm glad you found a suitable solution to your problem. I've used Entourage for years and recently switched over to Mail because it has more integrated functionality with iCal and my iPhone. I've never had any issues with Mail so far.

Printing solution for Color LaserJet 3600 & 2600 on new Apple hardware

I finally found a solution. HP owes me $20,000 in consulting fees.
To print to a LaserJet 3600 or 2600 from a newer Mac using 10.6, you must do the following:
Step 1: Install Foomatic HPIJS drivers
Step 2: Get an AirPort Express or equivalent print server (AirPort Extreme works as well, UFO or thin.)
Step 3: Connect the printer via USB to the print server, and connect it to your network
Step 4: Go to Print & Fax, then click the + button to add a printer
Step 5: Select HP Jetdirect - Socket for the protocol
Step 6: Enter the IP address of the printer server, followed by a colon and the port number (9100 or 9101)*, i.e. 1.2.3.4:9100
Step 7: Name the printer, then click on the Print using: drop down menu
Step 8: Select the Select Other Printer..., and choose the appropriate HPIJS driver.
* To determine the correct port, open Network Utility in the Utilities folder. Click on Port Scan. Type the IP address of your print server, then check the Only test ports between... and enter 9100 and 9101. It will report back the open TCP port.

Unfortunately 10.6.3 did not fix the problem.
I've also, unfortunately, found out that the HPIJS will also eventually fail to print.
This is beyond frustrating since we invested several thousands of dollars in these printers and we can't use them.

Color coding emails in Mail 2.0.5

I have used rules with colors for some time. Now, I just added one using a color selected under other (happens to be turquoise but probably irrelevant.)
I completed the rule, applied the color and now every item in the mailbox is that color EXCEPT for the preceding rules, which are colored as desired.
I have even deleted the rule at this point but nothing gets rid of the turquoise color on virtually every email.
Any ideas?

I am having a %#@% of a time with colors too, but I do know this: if you start having things turn wacky colors, the easiest way to get rid of it is to go to the message (or shift-select all messages you want to change) and go to Format/Fonts at the top, and when the color wheel comes up, click one of the white squares at the bottom. That will take the color away--maybe in addition to eliminating the color from the rule, that will fix the problem? Good luck!

Problem Using Exceptions for color coding in BEX

Hi Guys
I am trying to color code a column C1 in my report. the column contains Sales amount in Dollars. Some are negative and some values are postive.
now the conditions i need to define are based on a percentage calculation in another column C2 also present in the report. if the percentage value in C2 is greater than 10 than C1 should be green. if C2 is less than 10 than red. and if equal to 10 than yellow.
How can i accomplish this.

I also faced the same issue.Its difficult to comapre two keyfigures and higlight one of them.So what i can suggest you is to make a new formula based on conditon what you mentioned and pass 1 and 0.Now you will get 1 and 0 values in that column.
You will be able to highlight this column based on the exception and pass value 1 and zero with the desired colors.So your this column with values 1 and 0 will be working on exception but not that particula keyfigure column.If you user aggres with it well and good,if not then at modeling things can be done
The calculations you are doing at reporting level has to be done at modeing level and make one characterstic indication where you will compare the two keyfigures and pass some value characterstic like C or B .
Again come at reporting level and now you make exception based on this characterstic values if you go to exception there you will find cell restriction tab in that select your cahracterstic and operate eq and select the value which you gave.

To get this done efficiently, SharePoint’s built-in calendar overlays are the way to go.
You can follow the steps as below:
Customize category column in the calendar list
Create views filtered by category column
Create blank view where the category filters for NULL value
Add the calendar overlays

How to redirect to library on button click in sandbox visual web part solution for office 365

I have created a sandbox solution for Office 365 with one text box and a button.
On button click i am creating a library with name from text box.
So, what i want is redirect to newly created library as soon it get created on button click.

Temp solution for e-SATA problems...

Had a talk with CalDigit about this and they say it should work. It's a solution for now until Apple and Sonnet and CalDigit gets their stuff together.

The e-mail checks out as having come from an IP address registered to Apple.
Received-SPF: pass (mxeu0: domain of insideapple.apple.com designates 17.254.6.124 as permitted sender) client-ip=17.254.6.124; envelope-from=[email protected]; helo=msbadger0204.apple.com;
The sender address wasn't spoofed and all the links in the mail lead to legitimate apple web sites. (It was an advert for a MacBook Air christmas special). There was a link at the bottom of the e-mail which takes me to the Apple 'manage your e-mails' page.

If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com. Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE: This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address. Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466, and ask for account security. You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.
