Hey, I didn't really take a look at your errors, but... Have you tried the mate-desktop.org repo? There's no need to compile anything if you install from there. Just add
[mate]
Server = http://packages.mate-desktop.org/repo/archlinux/$arch
to /etc/pacman.conf then do 'pacman -S mate' for a basic install, or 'pacman -S mate mate-extra mate-extras' for a full install.
Thanks bro, it works now!

  • How to solve "error occurred in the data manipulation engine"? 64bit Windows 7

    Hi all
I'm having quite a testing time here trying to use the new SAP PA 2.0. After installation the software launches, the Automated Analytics seems to work fine but not the Expert Analytics.
    Steps as follows:
    Launch PA
    Choose and launch Expert Analytics
    Choose Try with Samples
    Open the Dairy Wholesaler file
Error: An error occurred in the data manipulation engine. Check the manipulation parameters. (HDB 01001)
I also get this same error when I try to create my own New Dataset.
    I’m on 64bit Windows 7 Pro
Is there anyone who knows how to solve this problem. I've searched the SCN and online and have tried the following:
    1. Uninstall and re-install. Doesn't help
    2. Uninstall and delete old lumira related folders on the C drive e.g. the SAPPA and SAPVI folders on the C drive, then re-install.
Much appreciated if anyone could shed some light on this. I've previously had Lumira working with no issues. I've since uninstalled Lumira, Predictive Analytics, and Infinite Insights (as PA 2.0 is all of this combined)
    Regards
    Ria

In case anyone has the same problem, I found the the following helpful (taken from Error after upgrading to 1.18 ). The solution is for Lumira however its the same steps for PA2
    1.  You might want to try a ‘clean’ uninstall / reinstall . After uninstalling, try deleting these folders:
    C:\Users\Public\sapvi
    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\SAP\Lumira
    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\sapvi
In this step I searched for every SAP related file in AppData in the Public, User, and my own username folder under \Users\
    2.  Next, to launch the application, explicitly click "Run as Administrator" on the install file

    Here it is.  Thanks Wonder.
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
It was created by gdm configure 2.32.0, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.66. Invocation command line was
    $ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --libexecdir=/usr/lib/gdm --localstatedir=/var --disable-static --with-at-spi-registryd-directory=/usr/lib/at-spi --disable-scrollkeeper

  • [SOLVED] Error occuring while enabling extension

    Hey all,
I've been using OpenOffice 3  (openoffice-base beta and devel and stable now) and have tried to install the Sun Presenter Console, but I get the following error:
    % /opt/openoffice/program/unopkg add -v sun-presenter-screen-linuxintel.oxt
    ERROR: (com.sun.star.deployment.DeploymentException) { { Message = "An error occurred while enabling: PresenterScreen.uno.so", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface)@-4c944490 }, Cause = (any) { (com.sun.star.registry.CannotRegisterImplementationException) { { Message = "loading component library failed: file:///home/shshe/.openoffice.org/3/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/tHnwYZ_/sun-presenter-screen-linuxintel.oxt/PresenterScreen.uno.so", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @0 } } } }
    rollback...
    Disabling: PresenterScreen.xcs
    rollback finished.
An error occurred while enabling: PresenterScreen.uno.so
Using the GUI extension manager installer also brings up the same error.
Anyone else encountering this problem, or know of a solution? A google search doesn't bring up many hits, which leads me to believe it might be an Arch Linux specific problem...
Edit: Added verbose output thanks to aksdb
Edit: openoffice-base 3.0.0-2 fixes this problem! Thanks AndyRTR

I encounter the same problem. To be more precise, -v (verbose) gives the following details:
    ERROR: (com.sun.star.deployment.DeploymentException) { { Message = "Fehler beim Aktivieren von: PresenterScreen.uno.so", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @-4ca9fc98 }, Cause = (any) { (com.sun.star.registry.CannotRegisterImplementationException) { { Message = "loading component library failed: file:///opt/openoffice/program/../share/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages/9c5ZOV_/sun-presenter-screen-linuxintel.oxt/PresenterScreen.uno.so", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.XInterface) @0 } } } }
The same happens with other Sun extensions (like pdfimport). It works fine however with the Sun OOo versions (the binary ones from the website).
I guess it's a packaging problem, because the vanila OOo has a different directory layout: /opt/openoffice.org and /opt/openoffice.org3 (both with a large sub directory tree consisting of libraries, programs and other shared files), where Arch Linux only has /opt/openoffice.

  • [SOLVED] error occured while loading or saving config information

When I try to launch applications from my menu it takes ages to appear and I get the error:
'an error occured while loading or saving configuration information for 'application name'. Some of your configuration settings may not work properly'
in the details section I get:
'Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or that you have NFS locks due to a system crash. See (a website for gnome's gconf) for details.'
    I don't understand this as I don't use gnome, I have openbox.
    any help appreciated.
    List of affected apps:
    firefox
    thunderbird
    terminator
    Apps that load unusually slow:
    Thunar
    Apps that do nothing:
    Banshee
EDIT: If I cannot get this fixed by the end of the week I will have to go back to ubuntu as I need this machine working.

I think I may have found a solution,
can you print the output of
ls -la ~/ | grep .dbus
apparently this problem can happen if ~/.dbus is owned by root.
to fix it AS ROOT (or sudo)
    chown -R $USER:users ~/.dbus
here's my source, there are a few things in here you could try as well.
    http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-780179.html
    Hahaha, thank you so much.
It was owned by root so I have now fixed that.
It was my own stupid fault then running a command as root that should have been run as a user?
I will never forget this, the embarrassment is killing me..... lol

  • [Solved] error: C compiler cannot create executables; see 'config.log'

Trying to build avant-window-navigator from the aur using yaourt results in this error message.  I recently upgraded my system and suspect this may be the cause, but I'm not sure how to proceed from here.  My config.log follows.
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
It was created by avant-window-navigator configure 0.4.1, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.68. Invocation command line was
    $ ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/usr/share --disable-static --disable-pymod-checks

cloog provides libcloog-isl.so cloog /usr/lib/libcloog-isl.so.3 and cloog /usr/lib/libcloog-isl.so.3.0.0 but not libcloog-isl.so.2.

If your system is fully updated, maybe you're using some custom packages, like glibc https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 51#p845851

  • [SOLVED] Error when compiling conky with audacious support

Edit: See post #8 for solution
    Hello.
When trying to compile conky with the --enable-audacious option, I get the following error.
checking for Audacious... configure: error: Package requirements (audacious >= 1.4.0 audclient dbus-glib-1 glib-2.0 gobject-2.0) were not met:
    No package 'audclient' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables Audacious_CFLAGS
and Audacious_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

My PKGBUILD is the one in the repos, with the addition of an --enable-audacious line. See below:

    No, it's exactly the same.
drcouzelis wrote:EDIT: Also, there's already a package for conky-audacious in the AUR.
I tried it, that doesn't compile either, and its orphan & outdated.
For the record, its PKGBUILD is

Have you been able to reproduce the problem? I'm using an amd64 processor and trying to build with "makepkg -s". Thank you for replying.

I tried every obvious solution to this problem with different types of disc (-R; +R; -RW and +RW) and the problem persisted.  Then I read about removing a hyphen in picture filenames.  I renamed all the images and bingo there were no further problems.  Apple should have solved this by now.  This error code has been reported for several years and my MacBook Pro is quite new.  Anyway, I hope this helps.  It does work.

  • An error occured when attempting to change modules .. how to solve this ? Thanks

    Hi there,
I installed Lightroom 5, then it asked it for some directory to create some catalogue. I changed was was given default to me to some other directory. It was a mistake.
Then a message saying "An error occured when attempting to change modules" always popped out when I started Lightroom 5.
In fact I uninstalled and reinstall Lightroom 5 again. Ang it gave me the same message. I am not sure why when I reinstall it, it no longer asked me the directory I wanted to create the catalogue but instead gave me the error message straight away...
Any ideas on how to solve this is greatly appreciated as I desperately need to use this Lightroom 5 ...
    Thanks

Did you install from CC desktop or from an Adobe download link?
When you click on the install button under the Apps tab within the Creative Cloud desktop app, no serial number is required.
    Hi 99Jon,
I installed from CC desktop and you are correct. You are correct, when I install the CC, there is no serial number required or given to me.
Let me explain again the sequence of my problem.
    1) I installed the CC desktop after I chose to pay monthly.
    2) The installation was perfectly fine, NO asking of serial number
    3) I install the Lightroom 5.7.1 without problem and NO asking of serial number too.
    4) I run Lightroom 5.7.1 for the first time and it asked me to select a folder for catalogue I didn't select the default directory that it suggested. And this caused problem because it then gives a message saying "An error occurred when attempting to change modules"
    5) so I delete the whole Lightroom 5.7.1 and reinstall from CC Apps.
    6) The problem still persists and I continue to have the "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" message
    7) So I deleted the Lightroom 5.7.1  and reinstall. Problem still persist.
    8) So, I did a software update as advised by the link you gave me (ie Solution 1). Interestingly, the update Version is 5.7.1 which I have.
    9) After the update installation, I no longer receive "An error occured when attempting to change modules" the message but instead tnow I receive message asking me for serial number. So much problem now ...
    Note:
If you see this link, something is wrong bcos when you clicked the settings wheel, you'll see that Managed Application - Uninstall Unavailable"
    <a href="http://s32.photobucket.com/user/ryan_khoo/media/ScreenShotofAdobeCC_zpsa6c420e7.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d2/ryan_khoo/ScreenShotofAdobeCC_zpsa6c420e7.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo ScreenShotofAdobeCC_zpsa6c420e7.jpg"/></a>
So now my problem has changed form one where the error message popped up to one which now asked me for serial number ...
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks

Try redownloading the app directly to the iPod by:
]Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
It may be that iTunes is not signed into the account that purchased the app or that the computer is not authorized for that account.

Firstly, I should have typed speedtest.net previously.
Now that's an interesting comment you make, out of interest do you have any purchased HD movies in your iTunes collection, if so, do they play on the Apple TV with your new tv.
