Scimmia wrote:It means those libraries are corrupt and need reinstalled. You can use pacman -Qo <path/filename> or pkgfile <filename> to find out what packages need reinstalled.
This doesn't seem to work in my case. I get the following errors:
[cody@cody-arch ~]$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libblas.so.3
error: No package owns /usr/lib/libblas.so.3
[cody@cody-arch ~]$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/liblapack.so.3

[cody@cody-arch ~]$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/liblapacke.so.3

[cody@cody-arch ~]$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libvte.so.9.2800.2
error: No package owns /usr/lib/libvte.so.9.2800.2
So then I installed and ran pkgfile, and it is able to find what I need. However, trying to reinstall gets the following errors:

  • Help on FRM-41211 Integration error: SSL failure running another product.

Am getting the above error, whenever I run my interface form calling a Report module.
What's baffling though is - this only happens during the initial call to the RUN_PRODUCT built-in. That is, after acknowledging the Form error, the Reports Background Engine is displayed, then everything would seem to be work after that.
Could this be a bug or is there a run-around to this?
Thanks a lot for your ideas and help.

We were getting this error on windows98 machines if someone had opened wordpad or some other unrelated application before running a report after they booted the machine. We solved the problem by forcing the reports backgroup engine to run at startup to prevent this error.

  • Error while running pacman -Syu

    Hi.
I've been using Archlinux for about a week now, and I am very impressed with the distribution.
I have one problem though. I'm getting a weird error that I'm not sure how to solve.
While running sudo pacman -Syu I get the following error
    [gerhard@arch ~]$ sudo pacman -Syu
    :: Synchronizing package databases...

error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/archlinuxfr/pacman.manfr-20090803-1/desc: No such file or directory
The error line repeats itself about 30 times.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Gerhard

Thank you for the reply wonder, but I get the same type of error with pacman -Syyu.
I forgot to mention that I also got:
local database is up to date
    after the error-lines.
    [Edit]
It seems that airpac is the problem. I commented it out from /etc/pacman.conf, and I could now run pacman -Syyu again.
I'm not sure why airpac is behaving like this though..

I tried running pacman -Syyu, but that did not seem to solve the problem.  There is /var/lib/pacman/local/openssl-0.9.8l-1/

    openssl: /usr/share/man/man3/ui.3.gz exists in filesystem

Sounds to me like openssl is installed on your system but the info on it is now missing from the local pacman database (/var/lib/pacman/local).  In other words, pacman forgot that you installed it.  So in your second clip of code, pacman is complaining that files belonging to openssl exist in your filesystem, since you do have it installed but it no longer knows that.
Don't know if this is the proper way to fix it, but I imagine forcing a reinstall of openssl (pacman -Sf openssl) should get pacman to reinstall openssl so that it knows it is installed.
    Bregol,
    pacman -Sf openssl
seemed to have fixed it.  Did not know of the force reinstall option.  The necessary directories in /var/lib/pacman/local/openssl have been created.

So, I don't use deluge, but I see your error comes from a missing mako template, and I notice python2-mako is only an optional dependency.
I suggest seeing whether it works after you run:
    pacman -Qq python2-mako || sudo pacman -S python2-mako

I am trying to install Arch but when I type "pacstrap /mnt base base-devel"  I keep on getting this error "error could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/core.db unrecognized archive format".
    I have tried:

Pacstrap was telling you it couldn't open a file, so you just deleted the entire directory tree? Did it appear to be downloading the database files correctly before this? Did you try running pacstrap again after you deleted everything?
And then you tried to run pacman with the -f (force) option? What happened? "no luck" doesn't tell us anything.
What more is there to do besides installing ubuntu?
There are many things you can do. You can give us more information about what you did and what happened. Did you follow all the steps in the Beginners Guide up to the pacstrap step? Did you get any errors or warnings before that step? Are you sure you had a working network connection? Did you interrupt the pacstrap process at any time? Did you try running it again after you deleted /var/lib/pacman/sync?
Did you check the sha1sum of the iso you downloaded before you put it on a usb stick?
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … oaded_file
How did you put it on the usb stick?
When you got the error, did you do
    ls /var/lib/pacman/sync

  • Error trying to run SSIS Package via SQL Server Agent: DTExec: Could not set \Package.Variables[User::VarObjectDataSet].Properties[Value] value to System.Object

    Situation:
SSIS Package designed in SQL Server 2012 - SQL Server Data Tools
    Windows 7 - 64 bit.
The package (32 bit) extracts data from a SQL Server db to an Excel Output file, via an OLE DB connection.
    It uses 3 package variables:
*) SQLCommand (String) to specify the SQL Statement to be executed by the package
    Property path: \Package.Variables[User::ExcelOutputFile].Properties[Value]
    Value: f:\Output Data.xls
*) EXCELOutputFIle (String) to specify path and filename of the Excel output file
    Property path: \Package.Variables[User::SQLCommand].Properties[Value]
    Value: select * from CartOrder
*) VarObjectDataSet (Object) to hold the data returned by SQL Server)
    Property path: \Package.Variables[User::VarObjectDataSet].Properties[Value]
    Value: System.Object
It consists out of 2 components:
*) Execute SQL Task: executes the SQL Statement passed on via a package variable. The resultng rows are stored in the package variable VarObjectDataSet
*) Script Task: creates the physical output file and iterates VarObjectDataSet to populate the Excel file.
Outcome and issue:The package runs perfectly fine both in SQL Server Data Tools itself and in DTEXECUI.
However, whenever I run it via SQL Server Agent (with 32 bit runtime option set), it returns the errror message below.
This package contains 3 package variables but the error stating that a package variable can not be set, pops up for the VarObjectDataSet only.  This makes me wonder if it is uberhaupt possible to set the value of a package variable
    of type Object.
Can anybody help me on this please ?

    Hi Visakh,
    thank you for your reply.
So, judging by your reply, not all package variables used inside a package need to be set a value for when run in DTEXEC ?
I already tried that but my package ended up in error (something to do with "... invocation ...." and that error is anything but clearly documented. Judging by the error message itself, it looks like it could be just about anything. that is why I asked my
first question about the object type package variable.
Now, I will remove it from the 'set values' list and try another go cracking the unclear error-message " ... invocation ...". Does an error message about " ... invocation ..." ring any bells, now that we are talking about it here ?
    Thx in advance
    Jurgen
    Yes exactly
You need to set values only forthem which needs to be controlled from outside the package
Any variable which gets its value through expression set inside package or through a query inside execute sql task/script task can be ignored from DTExec
Ok I've seen the invocation error mostly inside script task. This may be because some error inside script written in script task. If it appeared after you removed the variable then it may because some reference of variable existing within script task.

  • [SOLVED] Errors building archiso i686 within x86_64

    [EDIT]
"Solved" this by using arch32-light instead.
    =======
    Hello -
I'm trying to build an i686 archiso livecd within an x86_64 environment and I'm getting errors.
Here's the command sequence I'm using:
    (as root)
    pacman -S devtools --noconfirm --needed
    linux32 mkarchroot /tmp/somedir base
    linux32 mkarchroot -r bash /tmp/somedir
pacman -S git squashfs-tools syslinux devtools cdrkit make nbd mkinitcpio-nfs-utils
At this point pacman throws an error - wrong architecture. I can correct this by running pacman -Syy - the packages will then install.
    Next command sequence:
    cd /tmp
    git clone git://projects.archlinux.org/archiso.git
I then get an error that says "/usr/bin/git command not found (or something along those lines!)
But git is installed and available on that path.
I'm sure I'm doing something really basic & stupid but I don't know what it is - can anyone suggest the solution?

Thanks dpreilan - always good to get someone else's experience.
I also had problems using arch32 - as it turns out, you need to use the command "linux32" in front of anythjing outside the chroot. That's probably obviuos to someone more experienced than me but it wasn't apparent from any of the instructions I found online.
Figured it out in the end though!

  • Runtime Error  -GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED when running COI

    Hi ALL,
We are getting run time error -  GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED when running COI tasks.
    Error analysis
You attempted to access an unassigned field symbol
         (data segment 32995).
This error may occur for any of the following reasons:
         - You address a typed field symbol before it is set using ASSIGN
         - You address a field symbol that points to a line in an internal table
           that has been deleted
         - You address a field symbol that had previously been reset using
UNASSIGN, or that pointed to a local field that no longer exists
        - You address a global function interface parameter, even
though the relevant function module is not active,
that is it is not in the list of active calls. You can get the list
of active calls from the this short dump.
    How to correct the error
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
        use the following search criteria:
        "GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED" C
        "CL_UC_COI_ACT_PT==============CP" or "CL_UC_COI_ACT_PT==============CM00P"
        "REDUCE_GOODWILL_ENTRIES"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and you wish to send
an error message to SAP, include the following documents:
        1. A printout of the problem description (short dump)
To obtain this, select in the current display "System->List->
           Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    2. A suitable printout of the system log
To obtain this, call the system log through transaction SM21.
Limit the time interval to 10 minutes before and 5 minutes
after the short dump. In the display, then select the function
        "System->List->Save->Local File (unconverted)".
    3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
        supply the source code.
To do this, select the Editor function "Further Utilities->
        Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details regarding the conditions under which the error occurred
or which actions and input led to the error.
    Information on where terminated
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_UC_COI_ACT_PT==============CP"
         in "REDUCE_GOODWILL_ENTRIES".
The main program was "UCUWB000 ".

  • [SOLVED] == ERROR: file not found: `/sbin/dmsetup'

[EDIT] A much simpler way to deal with this is to explicitly ignore the kernel update during a full system update:
    pacman -Syu --ignore linux
Then explicitly update the kernel alone:
    pacman -S linux
[EDIT] First, after a full system update I had to move the STUB kernel image from the UEFI directory back to /boot, them recreate the images a second time. The systemd service moved it back to the UEFI directory.

    I've read the news item...
    Changes to LVM
    2013-02-12 - Thomas Bächler
With lvm2 2.02.98-3, we now utilize lvmetad to activate LVM volumes automatically. This implies the following changes:
The lvm2 initramfs hook now requires the udev hook.
The use_lvmetad = 1 must be set in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. This is the default now - if you have a lvm.conf.pacnew file, you must merge this change.
You can restrict the volumes that are activated automatically by setting the auto_activation_volume_list in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. If in doubt, leave this option commented out.
If you need monitoring (needed for snapshots), run systemctl enable lvm-monitoring.service.
The lvmwait kernel command line option is no longer needed and has no effect.
If you run pacman -Syu and update device-mapper, linux and lvm2 at the same time, you will get an error message that /sbin/dmsetup is missing. Run mkinitcpio -p linux again after the update to avoid any problems.
...and I do get the message...
==> ERROR: file not found: `/sbin/dmsetup'
...but after a full system update with...
    pacman -Syu
    ...when I execute...
    mkinitcpio -p linux
    ...this is what I get...
    Building image from preset: 'default'
    /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux.img
ERROR:specified kernel image does not exist: `/boot/vmlinuz-linux'
    Building image from preset: 'fallback'
    /boot/vmlinuz-linux -c /etc/mkinitcpio.conf -g /boot/initramfs-linux-fallback.img -S autodetect
ERROR:specified kernel image does not exist: `/boot/vmlinuz-linux'
So of course if I reboot I get the dreaded 'No volume groups found' message.
I should mention that I use the systemd path and service to move the kennel after it has been updated.

Just to confirm. You did all these steps, right?
    EDIT: I just noticed something:
KairiTech wrote:HOOKS="base udev autodetect sata mdadm usbinput keymap encrypt lvm2 filesystems timestamp shutdown"
    Replace
    mdadm
    with
    mdadm_udev
. Maybe this is nothing, but it is recommended to use this one instead of the other.
    NEW EDIT: Expecially this one
The use_lvmetad = 1 must be set in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. This is the default now - if you have a lvm.conf.pacnew file, you must merge this change.

In searching the forum I've only found a couple of things that look similar and they suggest the problem is caused when a project is upgraded. The suggested solution is running the project in JDK 1.5. (see Error Attempting to Run JSP with 10.1.3.0.3.3412
However, my project is a new project, created in 10.1.3, and in the project properties --> compiler settings, I've got the source and target set to 1.4. There hasn't been any upgrade to speak of, and my production environment is JDK 1.4.
I get the same error upon creating a new web application, creating a JSF, placing some Output Text on the page and then attempting to run it.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? If I can't run new applications, I'm in trouble...
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Thanks for the response, Shay.
I was able to get the server to start up by changing the setting in Project Properties --> Libraries --> J2SE Version to 1.5.
Are you saying, then, that regardless of which version of JDK you use to compile your project (Project Properties --> Compiler --> Source & Target, both 1.4 in my case), in order to run it on the embedded OC4J server you have to use 1.5 in the setting above? I just want to understand this so that I can be sure that my app will run on my production app server, which runs JDK 1.4. That's what I was referring to as "my production environment" in my original post.
    Thanks again,
    Andy

    Hi Vid,
    Thanks for your suggestion.
    I am using a different patch i.e.
BI AddOn 7.X (based on 7.10), Support Package 5, Revision 1083
and it helps to solve my problem.
    Cheers.
