Some Text Missing Nokia 6288

Hey, whenever my mobile tries to receive large messages (I guess they're messages spanning over 160 characters?) I get the *some text missing* phrase along with the last part of the message (normally only a few characters/words).
I was just wondering if there's anything I can do to solve this? If I text the sender back telling them I only got half the text, as soon as they send a new 1 to me the first half of the original message arrives. Obviously this is a great hassle, and a waste of a text for me and the sender, is there any other way to combat this problem?

This happened when there's not enough memory left for the message that it receives. The main memory of the phone is always use in this process(it is shared with other program too); so to get multipage(span more that 160 chars) text messages successfully in which the latest Nokia phone models is capable of, one must free the main memory as much as possible. Transfer or archives your text message to external memory.
Service provider considered one text message if it does not exceed the 160 character limit. If it does, it considered it as a multi-text, and billed likeless. It send it in series of succession depending how busy the network.

Why is some of the text missing on the right side of a page I send to my printer?

I came across something similar recently where it printed the left hand side only!
If I want to print an email, instead of File > Print ( does not print properly ) I click on the print icon on my email webpage ( do not use applemail and access gmail direct) which then takes me to print preview showing the complete email which prints ok.
Some webpages ( File>Print) do not print properly and some do. Those that do not generally have their own printer icon (path) that needs to be clicked on.
Maybe something to do with encryption but don't know.

[iOS] CS5.5 AIR3 - BitmapData (blitting) and Text - Some Text Missing?

Hey all,
Are there any gottchas for text showing up in a sprite you draw to a bitmapdata that might make some text fail to show up?
I have a loop that's printing headlines and then text below those headlines. The headlines show up, the text blow it does not. Both uses the same (embedded) font. Bit confused on this.
One thing to note is the headlines have a dropshadow I'm applying. This must be internally converting the text to a bitmap of some sort. I applied the dropshadow to the text that I don't desire to have a dropshadow and it shows up. Is this sounding like a bug?

Just by applying a filter of any kind it appears to do that. Otherwise I'm not really sure what's up with this. It's just unimplemented in AIR->iOS.
I'll report it as a bug.

PDF missing some text from FM 9 using Acrobat 9.2

When I generate a PDF frome FM 9, it's missing some of the text (non-bold)
and one of the chapters is missing the chapter number in the TOC.
It worked fine with Acrobat 6.0, but now I'm using Acrobat 9.2 and some
text is missing. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You do not mention your OS, but there is a hot fix for some problems with postscript drivers that cause missing data in pdfs.

Some text goes missing in the PDF output after I convert FM8 book

Hi,
I am using Framemaker 8.0, Acrobat 8.0 Professional, Acrobat Distiller 8.0.
When I convert my Framemaker books to PDFs, some text (especially Table Heading tags) go missing in the PDF output. I have tried to change the font colour, change the cell shading, and many other options. But, the problem persists.
I saw some similar links on the forums with this kind of problems. For example,

After going through these links from the forums, I realized that this is a known issue. But, the above links direct me to Microsoft patches and these patches are available only for Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, and Windwos Vista operating systems. My operating system is Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit version.
One more thing I want to say is we have never faced this problem earlier. It started appearing now.
While I know that the world (many of us) moved on to Framemaker 9 and 10, I also know that there is someone out there to help me to overcome this issue.

We tried this option also. In fact, the Distiller shows this option by default. Secondly, we have recently updated our old template to reflect the new corporate styles and we suspect something went wrong there. We once again took the old template and updated with the new colour definitions and fonts, this time very carefully and it started working. Now, the text is not missing.
So, the result is something is wrong with our template. Quite surprising is it is inconsistent and some places the text appears and some places it does not.
Where do you work? Are you in India?

All text tones are available in General-Sounds. Some are missing via Contacts-Edit Contact.

I have confirmed that this issue is also present in the iPhones in the Apple store as of 28-April-2014. I told one of the guys in the Apple store about it and he said that the iPhones in the store have a custom version, so I asked him to check his own iPhone. He did, and the issue is present on his phone, so it's definintely a general IOS7 iPhone issue.
If you go to General -> Sounds -> Text Tone -> Classic, you can see all the classic text tones.
If you go to Contacts, select a contact, select Edit -> Text Tone -> select Classic, some are missing.
I used Choo Choo for one of my contacts while I was on IOS6 and when I switched to a new phone with IOS7 and performed a restore, their text tone changed to Tri-tone. I tried to change it back and saw it was not availble, so I figured they had taken it out of IOS7. Then I heard a friend's iPhone 5 on IOS 7 who had Choo Choo set up as their default. I investigated and saw that more Classic text tones were available via General.
Is there some logical reason why some text tones are not available for Contacts?

Do you maybe have your contacts separated into groups? If so, perhaps you have unchecked the group that the missing contact are in.
In the Contacts app, click the Groups button in the upper left corner. Make sure all groups have a check mark next to them.

Some text fonts are missing or not displayable???

I opened a logic 7 song today and had this error message pop up 'some text fonts are missing or not displayable'. I then noticed whenever I tried to mute audio (using 'Apple M') logic would crash.
Any clues what has happened or how I fix this?

I have had this exact issue/warning when opening up older songs that I made in previous versions of Logic.
To solve it, do this procedure even if you never use the Score Editor:
1. Open the Score Editor
2. Go to Text>Text Styles (in the toolbar: Layout,Edit,Functions,Attributes, Text, View, Options
3. When you open Text Styles you will see the grid with different kinds of Fonts for the various Score Editor settings. In this grid, whatever fonts are not available on your computer will have some sort of asterisk bracket stuff instead of saying the name of the font that is already on your computer - Arial, Times, Helvetica etc.
4. Change the fonts by clicking them and selecting ones that are on your computer. If you dont use the Score Editor, it doesnt matter what fonts you put there. Anything will do but you must get rid of the columns which have got a 'hole' with brackets.
5. Save the document with the changes made - the problem should not re-occur.
PS For some reason, when booting up, Logic experiences a 'crisis' when it doesnt have previous fonts available. As I said, do this even if you never use the Score Editor

Hi all, I have recently been handed a web project from a mac user and everytime I open one of the pages I get the following message. "Some text layers contain fonts that are missing...etc" I have the same exact fonts but in the new open type format. Anyways apparently photoshop can't tell that. I would like to TURN OFF this nag screen. I am not even editing the text layer with the font.
Is there anyway to turn off this nag screen? I turned off glyph protection in the prefrences and restarted photoshop to no avail.

The missing fonts will be listed in grayed out color in the separate last section at the bottom of the font menu accessible from the text tool's property or the character panel
The layers with missing fonts will have the warning sign on the layer's icon in the layer's panel however the missing font/s will be displayed with the correct font. When you try to edit the text on such layer, Photoshop will show a message with the missing font/s and will say that it will be converted if you edit it. If you choose OK, and you have different fonts on the same layer, watch which fonts will change appearance.

Some text elements are missing

Hi there!
From some time (I didn't noticed exactly) some text elements disappered in collaboration iviews.
For example if I try to go to some info-site collaboration room and add announcement, new window is opened with no texts, but only input fields to be filled. There's also no text on 'OK' and 'Cancel' buttons. So it's hard to understand what input field is for what purpose :o)
Why could it happen?
We're on SAP EP SP13 on WebAS 6.40, KM and Coll are also SP13.

I managed to regenerate projects. There's some bug with java on my notebook, but I did it directly on portal server maschine.
But the problem still persist. I even tried to restart servlet engine, no luck ;o(

Nokia 6288 questions

hi
i am looking at buying a nokia 6288 for christmas and was just wondering a few things.
Is it possible to password protect your inobx, picture folders & such..?
also i know that if i buy it on "3" it comes with stuff missing i.e. games so i don't want to buy it off three, but if i was to buy it off another operator would they have removed anythin, i dontm ind having extra things such as an extra vodafone menu thing or 02 menu thing but id like ot know which operators dont rmeove anything from th phone, i wish to use it on vodafone but if i buy it on another network i can unlock it , just depends which network i can get it on the cheapest but which network doesnt take anything off the phone.
also if i have some games on my computer already to put on it then will they work on this phone, they are all in .jar format. will they work?
finally can you put games on it that arnt necesairly for nokia or nokia 6288 as long as they are java, would they still work ?

I am not saying you should buy it, you can buy it if you want to..
There is a phone 3 sell, Called a Nokia 6120 Classic, the operating system is better (S60) and the 6288 has a few bugs aswell.
Personally i don't really like it (In terms of multimedia) but it is a good looking phone.
6120 has these good things that the 6288 doesn't have:
Adobe Reader
Quickoffice (For viewing documents)
Text to speech (Reads your messages to you)
Fast processor
Very good web browser
HSDPA (Future proof to use the 3.6Mbps per second on the 3 Turbo add ons)
It's the smallest smartphone in the world also the lightest smartphone in the world!
It weighs 89grams but i'm definately sure the 6288 weighs more than 100grams.
I wouldn't really opt for it as the Nokia 6120 classic (3 sell it too) is the same price on the contract tariffs.

Making email/text/missed call symbols show when the iphone screen is asleep

Hi,
So I purchased my first ever iphone on the weekend - the new 3G S. All very exciting. One thing I haven't quite worked out is whether it is possible to have the phone show me that I have mail/text/missed calls when the screen is asleep. Is this possible?
With Nokias and Sony Ericsson's when the screen is asleep and blacked out, you can still see a pic of an envelope etc to let you know there is something waiting for you like a text. Is this possible with the iphone and if so how?
Alternatively if there is an app that will do this, could you let me know what that is called so I can download it please?

This is not possible with the current iPhone and version 3.0 software. There are no apps available either that will wake the iPhone up and activate the screen to provide you information. Hopefully this'll come in some furure software update.

I did a COPY of some text from a web page, and then did a PASTE into notepad.exe (Windows). The text from each line was duplicated -- on the line! Instead of "Fred", it became "Fred Fred".

I just recently installed Firefox for the first time. It seems nice and quick. The version is reported as: "10.0.1".
I wanted to save some text from a web page, so navigated to that page, selected the text, and pressed the Control-C combination to COPY the selected text to the buffer. For example, the text I selected looked something like this:
Harry
Ron
Hermione
Hagrid
Albus
NOTE: Each line of text has a small icon to the left of the text.
It is not reasonable to COPY and PASTE each line individually, as there can be hundreds of lines of data. I recall, however, that
doing a COPY and PASTE on this data into Microsoft's Excel will produce cells which have the icons included in the cell, but unfortunately one cannot can't get rid of them! At least I've never found a way to remove them, but that's another issue. :)
Once I'd done the COPY operation I switched to a Notepad window and did a PASTE operation. To my surprise, the text from each line was duplicated. It looked like this:
Harry Harry
Ron Ron
Hermione Hermione
Hagrid Hagrid
Albus Albus
Thinking that there might be something unusual about the web page I looked at the source, but it appeared "normal" -- that is, as expected.
Note: I have done this operation several times before, and have never seen this occur before.
Note: In the actual data some of the lines have quoted text in them. Curiously there is weird behavior on these lines. In some cases the entire line is shown only once. (These occur at the top of the line, and the quoted text is at the beginning of the name.)
When quoted text appears "later" in the name, in some cases the quoted text is duplicated, and in other cases the quoted text is missing altogether! I have also noticed an error with the quoted text, and so will be reporting that to the web site which generates the HTML.
Note that each line of "text" is "anchor text", so if I click on a name the browser navigates to a page for that name.
I believe that the problem is that the COPY operating in Firefox is not simply copying the visible text, but also the ALT=

Fonts used in some text layers not available...

I've been gettting the following message lately when opening Photoshop files at work: "Fonts used in some text layers are not available for activation. You will need to replace these fonts before the layers can be used for vector based output".
But when I check my text layers, there are no indications that any fonts are missing. I double click on every text layer to see what font is being used and double check Suitcase Fusion to make sure it is activated.
I'm using OSX Maverick 10.9.2. I'm using Suitcase Fusion 5 version 16.2.0. And I'm using Photoshop CC 14.2.1. It's more of an annoyance than anything, but would like to know why it keeps telling me fonts are not available when they are currently activated in Suitcase. Not sure if it's an Adobe issue or a Suitcase Fusion issue.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

DrStrik9, I opened up the file, clicked on each text layer and selected all to make sure there wasn't any character using a different font. There wasn't. I clicked on the font being used, tried changing it to a different font, then back to the font that was being used. I saved and closed the file, then reopened it, and that seemed to cure it for that file. Not an efficient way to go about it though.
I then tried another file that was giving me the same error, clicked on each text layer, changed the font to a different one, then back to what was being used, saved, closed and reopened it, and still got the same message. So it didn't work for that one. I then tried changing the font to a system font, Times Bold true type, saved, closed, reopened, and got the message again. So not sure what is going on. The fonts used in the first file were DIN and DINEngschrift postscript font, which were loaded and active in Font Fusion.
The 2nd file I tried was using Gotham Bold postscript font, which also was active in Font Fusion. I've run Font Doctor on the fonts and found no issues.
Even though I'm getting the error message when I'm opening these files, none of the text layers have that Exclamation point indicating there is an issue with the layer, so it would seem the text layers are fine. Just really annoying to get that error every time I open the file.
Another thing I tried is I created a new Photoshop file and just made some text layers using Gotham Bold. Saved, closed and reopened the file and did not get the message. So, I don't know why I would get it with one file and not another. Very confusing/frustrating. Any other ideas?

Email printed to PDF, PDF appears accurate in Acrobat XI Pro, when PDF printed to paper text missing

HELP!!!
I have text disappear from Outlook emails printed to PDF when I print the PDF files from Acrobat XI Pro to a printer.
Here is a sample png from the PDF file printed out of Outlook - all the text is showing.
However when I print the PDF from Acrobat to a printer, the document comes out of the printer with text missing as shown:
The Acrobat print window shows all of the text that should be there as does Acrobat's view of the document.
Also, if I save the file to an image, all of the text is there.
I have tried different emails as well as different printers and the paper printed copies of the PDF emails are always missing text.
Additionally I have tried coverting the PDF file to a PDF/A file and printing that and the same problems occur.
Please send some tips as to how I can fix this!

i am having similar printing issues with Acrobat 10.1.4.
in my case both PDFs made by me (from InDesign files) and other PDFs made elsewhere and sent to me are missing text when printed to paper -though they look fine both on-screen and in the preview pane, as Katy noted above.
these PDFs print fine when i open and print from an older version of Acrobat (9.5.2).
they will also print fine from 10.1.4 if i send them to another printer in the office, (a Dell Color Laser 3110cn), the printer i have a problem with is a Kyocera Mita KM-5053 - which leads me to believe that this is some kind of communication error between Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.4 and this printer, or perhaps a driver issue. ?
I don't believe it's merely a preferences/print settings problem as i've gone pretty carefully through all the dialog boxes that seem relevant and have had no luck in solving the problem. Also, the text that's missing seems arbitraty - meaning, it's not merely hyperlinks or certain layers or text in specific type faces that won't print -it's content in the same text box, where other text does print, and it's blacks and colors and various point sizes - in short there are no easily discernable unifying circumstances among the text that does not print.
obvioulsy an easy work around is to just print to the other printer or use the older version of Acrobat, but my concern is more that other people may be experiencing the same issues with PDFs i send them. so if it is a problem in the way i'm generating PDFs (although, as i said, text is also missing from PDFs i have received from other people and printed) i'd like to fix it quickly, so that people trying to print my PDFs don't end up with critical content missing.
i'm on a 2008 MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5, and using the Acrobat (X Pro v 10.1.4) that came with the CS6 Design & Web Premium package - although i'm looking at it online now and it's listed as Acrobat XI Pro..

I use acrobat 9 pro and put in some text boxes to fix a drawing......

For some reason when i print it is printing a huge triangle over the drawing which can't be seen in a preview.

I was able to PDF ok from FM9 using Acrobat 6, ...
What font name, format (TTF, PFB/PFM, OTF?) and vintage?
Did you upgrade the fonts when upgrading the apps?
Any chance you have multiple copies of the same typeface name installed? Historically, having both the TTF and PFM (Type 1) of the same name installed could have undesired results.
... but when I upgraded to Acrobat 9.2, I'm getting some missing text in the PDF. Some non-bold text is missing.
What is "some text"? Some entire typefaces (all text thereof), or just some characters of a typeface, like, say, the ligatures in Helvetica.
The number for Chapter 3 is missing in the TOC.
What font is Frame looking for?
Also, are you embedding the fonts during PDF creation?
