Direct printing with BI delivery

Hi all,
I've got a problem when sending reports to a printer automatically after the launching the job, with JDEdwards. The RD output that I get is correct, but when I go and check the document that just came out of the printer, it doesn't contain any of the pictures nor the coulours and it displays some printing defaults as well, such as overlapping between words.
Anyone has gotten this problem before? Any ideas to solve it?
Thanks a lot.

No Problem, any time.. if you are able to mark my replies as correct, i will be more happy. and also that helps people to see which reply as correct one.

  • GR Slip Print with Inbound Delivery

    Hello There,
We have implemented below process in our purchasing goods receipt area.
    1. Create a PO
    2. Create an Inbound Delivery
    3. Create a Transfer Order
    4. Confirm the above transfer order
    5. The transfer order confirmation automatically generates the goods receipt, this is achieved via config:
Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Shipping -> Define Shipping Control -> Define Shipping Control at the Movement Type Level -> For movement type 101 we have put the Copy WM quantity as 'Copy WM quantity as delivery quantity and post GR/GI'.
This config in 5th step ensures that we have automatic the goods receipt, however, we are not getting automatic goods receipt print in this step 5.
We would like that the moment we confirm the transfer order, the GR slip is automatically printed. We see that yes the GR is done, but the slip is not printed automatically.
Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance for your help.
    Kind Regards,
    Prakash

  • Directly printing works - but viewer fails with an error

    Hey,
we are using: Crystal Reports 2011 and runtime for VS2010.
I open and print my reports via c#. The directly printing works fine. But the viewer don't works. It's really crazy, because directly printing and viewing are using the same methods for database login etc.
At preview a form with the crystalreportsviewer will be opened and the reportsource is being set. After that the viewer shows the progress box. After a short while the progress box disappears and the following error is shown:

A hardware error might have occurred, or the table or index might have been corrupted (truncated). Unless the ISAM error code or an operating-system message points to another cause, run the oncheck utility (secheck with IBM Informix SE or tbcheck with IBM Informix OnLine) to check and repair table and index.
It seems to be that the viewer can't read the records with are locked within a transaction. I don't understand why the direct printing works. Is it possible to set the ISOLATION LEVEL for the report database connections?
I have tried this note but it don't works.

  • Open port issues with Direct Print functionality

Hi, I have been fighting with HP call support about the Photosmart 7525 printer.
Originally I setup and had performed all the functions to enable both web support and WIFI.
Within an hour the printer would not respond to wireless communication, though it had its wireless indecator showing it was connected.
I was told by HP support that the issue will be resolved in March, as there will be a firmware update to fix the issue.
Now that I had the printer install the new firmware I still get the issue.
Though I found through some sniffing, that there are a number of ports enabled and open that are over and beyond print requirements.
Funny thing I can send my printer into instant lockup with all lights flashing with a simple UDP ping sniff. I would think I can do this with other new HP printers using Eprint functions. I will find HP web based printers that are open for public printing and test my theory that HP Eprinters are open to hacking and denyal of service attempts.  My Hp print app on andriod list three in my area, and one is at my local Walmart. This would be cool to find this, as I am usually not the first to point such matters out.
I assume some are for Apple devices to print.
    Here is my sniffing report:

OK now I am able to run a full scan on TCP ports without causing a lock up of the printer.
I found that having the printer connect to a router that has been setup to use channel 5, 6 or 7 will cause port scanning issues with the printer.
It is obvious that there are 18 ports that are seen as open, whether they are used or not. Two of which are active but have no service connected to them. Some are just dead like port 25, but over half are active enough to recieve data and lock network connectivity within the printer.
As the firmware states some other laser jets may be affected depending on how the configuration can be set.
I moved my routers channel to channel 1 as it is the only other option I have in a highly congested location. It is not as good as channel 6, but the printer seems to have channel 6 locked in for direct printing.
Here is the latest full scan with UDP enabled, it is the furthest and most complete scan I am able to complete, with UDP ports enabled. The TCP port scan has a bit more and I have placed a simple list below the information given here:

  • Problem with Direct printing of PDF with Barcodes in R12

    Hi All,
We are facing a problem in direct printing in EBS R12 with xml pdf reports which contains some barcode fonts. We are using fonts from IDAutomation for barcodes. Printing from request output is working fine. But when it is printed directly everything get printed other than the barcodes. Did anybody face this problem before and fixed it?
    Regards,
    Benny

    Benny,
Output from XML Publisher comes out correctly. The barcodes are stripped off during pdftops conversion. Any idea?
How did you verify the above?

    Hello:
I must apologize  .  I should have checked here first:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP
According to the list, there is no driver for your printer included in OS X 10.7.
There are a couple of options:
    1.  Contact HP to see if they have a workaround.
    2. If the model of printer is not listed but your printer is a PostScript printer or PCL Laser printer, try the "Generic PostScript" or "PCL Laser printer" drivers.  Generic printer drivers may not let you access all the features of your printer.
I have not tried #2, but some people have had success.

  • Help needed with Ipad (ios7) wifi direct print to Samsung m2070fw

I downloaded the app to the ipad and ran into the snag that the ipad when it tries to connect to the printer via wifi with the provided password when entered fails.  It seems to not work due to the wifi not connecting direct from the ipad to the printer (no router used in this setting).  I called the Samsung support folks and they had no ready solution but to ask here on the Apple commmunity.  Any ideas or key steps I might be missing

Hi there and welcome to the forum. The feature you're referring to is called "Wireless Direct" and both the Envy 4500 and Envy 5530 have this feature. When a printer has wireless direct printing capability it means your WiFi capable devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop) can make a wireless network connection directly to your printer without using a wireless router or access point. This sounds like it would work perfectly in the case of your friend who currently has no ISP. Here is  a link to a web page that explains wireless direct printing in more detail  http://www.hp.com/global/us/en/wireless/wireless-direct.html
I hope this information proves useful and feel free to post back on the Forum with any other questions.

  • Printing (direct contact with spooler!)

    Hi,
is there a possiblity to talk directly to the printers of the OS (especially windows) in flex and/or air applications?
    Problem is simple:
We need to print in a special manner. Some pages A3 duplex, some pages A4 simplex...  But that based on the printer capabilities (a3/a4, simplex/duplex).
But even on a duplex printer with a3 support some pages in the print job need to be simplex a4...
In our .NET applications this is not very handy but possible. Is it possible for a flex app to speak with printers?
    Best Regards,
    Thomas

  • Direct print out with parameter values dialog

    Post Author: lp75

    Is it possible to get a parameter dialog on a direct print out ?reportDocument."Show a dialog similar to that one in CrystalReportViewer"reportDocument.PrintToPrinter(...);

    Post Author: ole
    CA Forum: .NET
reportDocument."Show a dialog similar to that one in CrystalReportViewer" is not possible, because ReportDocument has no user interface at all. You have to look in namespace CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms. There are things like CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms.PromptingDialog. There are also some other dialogs.  I don´t, if that will work. Maybe it is a help. Please inform if you are successful. I think I will need it some day, too.

You will need to give more information.
Please define "having problem pairing printer to PC."  -- Tell the whole story, what you are trying to do, and what happens instead ...
This sounds so far like it's a printer problem, not a Photoshop problem ... ?  Have you tried printing with other applications? Does that work?

  • Unable to print with my Canon PIXMA IP 4700 and JetDirect network appliance

After many tries I decided to post my question.
I have a Canon PIXMA IP 4700 connected to the network with a Jetdirect 175X box. So I tried to add a new printer with a "HP Jetdirect Socket" port. I have previously installed the driver from the official website. The test page is staying on the spooler.
I also tried with LPD port (supported by the Jetdirect box) and IPP but nothing is working.
When the printer is directly connected with USB, it's working fine. Printing from my others Windows computers is working fine too since many months.
    Thank your for your help.

Hello and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Your problem is being caused by the Canon driver. It cannot be used when the printer is connected to the USB port of a 3rd party print server, or if shared by Windows.
The solution is to use a driver like Gutenprint or PrintFab. Gutenprint is preferred because it is free (it ships with OS X) however the iP4700 is not listed as a supported model. The iP4600 is listed so you could try selecting this model in the Print Using menu (shown as Canon PIXMA iP4600 - Gutenprint v5.2.3). If the iP4600 Gutenprint driver does not work that well then you could look at using [PrintFab|http://www.printfab.net] which does support the iP4700. It costs €49 but there is a 30 day trial so at least you can try it before committing to buying.
Another option would be to use a Airport device, like the Express, instead of the Jetdirect print server. With the printer connected to its USB port you can then use the Canon iP4700 driver on the Mac.

  • HP D110 AIO printer. Prints jam when printing with wireless, but not when hooked to USB cable! HELP!

I have a HP D110. It jams the paper when I print with wireless, but not when I use USB cable. Any ideas?

From what you describe you are having issues printing from MS Office. Have you had trouble printing from other resources on your computer (e.g. from the internet or another program)? The first thing I am going to suggest is that we start by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer from the resources available online.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it (this is important). Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.

The problem is not the router.. the issue is the vpn has put your computer in a different IP range with a different gateway. When you turn off the vpn the computer returns to local lan and can print.
Some vpn software allows you to set gateway to use local net instead of remote gateway or access to other webistes or local lan.
    Read up the issue.

    Cisco vpn client..
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/239113
I did not search much.. just grabbed the first article I could find that explains the issue.
The whole point of the vpn is whilst it is connected your computer is NOT part of the Local Lan .. it is part of the Remote LAN via the vpn tunnel.
It is also a security risk using split tunnelling so often it will not be allowed.
Plug the printer directly into the computer via usb or whatever.. Local connection will work.. not local lan.
