server is in Sync with Domain Controller.Any ideas what can be the reason.i will highly appreciate any suggestios as to how to trouble shoot this issue.

EagleAsh

Hi EagleAsh,
I suggest double check the time in OWA.
I suggest send a test email to see the times in both Outlook and OWA.
If you have a long delay in receiving email messages by using Outlook. However, you receive the email messages timely when you use OWA. This issue occurs because of a deadlock that occurs in email notification threads in the Exchange RPC Client Access service.
More details in the following KB:

Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.

  • TS3276 receive email with .dat attachments

I have begun receiving emails with .dat files attached from my coworkers who use Outlook. Somehow, these files replace the attached files that my coworkers intended to send and Mail doesn't seem to be able to open/process them. I would really appreciate any advice on how to overcome this as I am starting to be pressured to give up my Mac.

.DAT files is a file has arbitrary data and is not associated with any one particular program or application. When you see a file with a .XLS extension, you know it’s referring to an Excel file, and so on. But with .DAT files, you have to figure out how to open it yourself and it may not be the same program each time.
The best way to open a .DAT file is to use the program that created it.  You may want to ask the sender to send it in a different format, like .pdf.
Winmail.dat files come from those Microsoft Outlook or Exchange programs and are some sort of archive method. Somewhere in outlook they get automatically created when forwarding email messages and Mac users have long wondered what they are and how to open them. Of course Windows users have no idea what they are either and think it’s all the receivers issue when we say we never got an attachment.

  • Mail not receiving emails with attachments

    Hi
I'd appreciate any suggestions in relation to the following.
My wife and I both run computers from the one account, Mail on her PowerBook logging in through my name and password. Until recently, we have had no problems at all. However, it has come to light that my wife has not been receiving emails with attachments for some time. To test this, my wife sent an email with an attachment to her home email address from work, and copied it to me. I received the email and the attachment on my PC; my wife's Mac did not receive the email. I then forwarded the email with the attachment to her computer; this was successful. This would suggest some problem with her Mail account on the Mac. However, the configuration has not been changed. Is it possible for it just to stop working for some reason?

I'm using a PC for my email at the moment. I'm not sure if all my wife's emails have been downloaded. However, Mail has made a Home/Mail/MessageUidsAlreadyDowloaded file. This was created when I sent an email to test what happened. I was unable to make Mail download all her emails, so I guess they must have gone from the server. She has a different email address to mine, but it's run from the same ISP account; as I said, she logs in, automatically, through Mail to her email. I have contacted the ISP about it, but they are unable to see any trace of emails that colleagues have sent my wife and which she sends home to herself. All of these files happen to have attachments, but I cannot see any setting of Mail which would account for them being rejected. Also, I can't be entiurely sure that only emails with attachments don't get through; there may be others, 'unattached'.
    Thanks for your continued assistance.

  • Receive email with dots in body

I have a weird problem with BB8830. From time to time (most of the time received from a specific Domaine) I receive emails with all the dots in the email body, the email was sent by Exchange Server. The same email is well receive in my Outlook 2003 in plain English. If I forward that email from BB to someone else, then the receive person will read in Chinese caracters instead of the dots, in Outlook. Does anyone have same problem ? and any solution for that. By the way, my BB is using the latest OS and Desktop Manager from Bell Mobility.

    Hi,
I think you misunderstood my problem. The email is in English and when I receive it on BB, all I see in the email body is black dots.If I forward this email to someone else and retrieve the email with Outlook, then chinese caracters apper in the message body.  If I retrieve it with my Outlook, the email bosy message is readble and in English. I would think that the BB email server cannot somehow get the email properly, may be the email was sent with Outlook2007? or ... ??

  • Updated my AppleID account info.  Under password security shows an email address to be used to receive email with new password settings.  I need to update that email address, how do I do that?  Thanks!

Updated my AppleID account info.  Under password security shows an email address to be used to receive email with new password settings.  I need to update that email address, how do I do that?  Thanks!

Thanks for the help Niel.  I couldn't change the rescue email address (an address that no longer exists and is therefore useless) until I could correctly answer the security questions.  After numerous guesses, finally got them right.  Was then presented with the option to change the rescue email address. Guess the only other option was to have Apple Support make the change or reset my account info.  Have made note of the correct answers so this won't happen again.   Thanks for the fast response!!

Why can i not receive email with my icloud account but I can send it out only

    Hi Nortarian,
The article below will walk you through the troubleshooting steps for email on your iPad:
iOS: Unable to send or receive email
If you are unable to send or receive email, try the following steps:
    Restart the iOS device.
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage to ensure that the device has Internet access. If you're unable to load a webpage, try the Wi-Fi assistant.
    Try an alternative Internet connection.
If your email is provided by your Internet provider, try connecting from the home network.
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, try to disable Wi-Fi:  Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If not, try a different Wi-Fi network.
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Delete the account from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then add the email account again on the iOS device.
    Hope this helps ....

  • I receive emails with attached videos in TextEdit and cannot read them

I am receiving emails with attached videos or documents and when I click to open I get TextEdit back with a bunch of gobblygook of letters, numbers and symbols but no video or legible documents.

Hi rwebster. Please see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mail_spam You can avoid directly opening the file:
    # Download the attachment.
    # Scan it at http://www.virustotal.com before opening.
    # Open it by double-clicking it in your file browser.
If you trust the sender and still want to configure the browser to open the files directly without saving, then please see here: [[Managing file types]]

Did you find a solution? I am having the same problem.
PDF compatibility level is too high. Supported PDF versions are PDF 1.3 and PDF 1.4 (Acrobat 4, 5 and 6). If you are using Acrobat 7 or higher you will need to save your file at a lower PDF compatibility level.

I did try this too, but when I access my webmail on the iPad, the iPad doesn't allow me to type my message.  I am able to enter in the "to" address and the "subject" line, but then the keyboard will not come up for me to type my message.  Is there some trick to this?  Very frustrating!

  • Delays receiving emails with MS Exchange/activsync

    hi,
in the last week i noticed major good 10-15 minutes delays on my BB Z10 that is connected to my corporate Exchange. Now I have I tried to isolated the area of the problem. I using 2 devices an Andorid and the Z10 configure the same under the same network and against the same user on the Exchange. New emails are being pushed to my Android device very quickly and 10-15 minutes later being pushed to the BB. Even refresh does not effect it.
This is definitely an issue that started lately as I could heare both phone and desktop notification tone on new emails simultaneous.
Any idea what can I do to resolve this?

I use Outlook 2003 (running under Windows XP SP3) to send and synchronise receiving emails from my BT Internet Account. As far as I can tell, and the Broadband Desktop Help utility confirms this, there are no problems with the settings. The software is set up to send/receive emails every 2 minutes. It normally works fine, then after a period of about an hour I get an intermittent problem that sends mail OK but times out on receiving emails. This can be temporarilly cured by closing down Outlook and restarting the program or in some instances rebooting the PC. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
    Hi.
To be honest, checking every 2 minutes maybe a little too frequent, try altering it to say 10 minites and see what happens.
The short timescale may not give enough time for the server to complete the whole sequence.

  • Can't receive email with Mail 4.4 - but iPad does

    Hi guys,
I have a strange problem with Mail 4.4: I have multiple email accounts that I manage through Mail - all work fine except my gmail account, which stopped receiving emails about a week ago. Here are some details:
    1. The account constantly shows the "busy" icon (rotating circle) but Mail Activity window does not show anything.
    2. I can send email from the account - but not receive any emails for this account with Mail.
    3. I access the same account through my iPad and iPhone - both work perfectly fine (i.e. get all emails), it's just Mail that does not receive.
    4. The Connection Doctor shows no errors - all lights are "green"
    5. I can access the corresponding gmail account through Safari without problem - all incoming emails are shown correctly
    6. The account is set up as IMAP
There is one occurrence that is probably related to the problem and could help with a solution:
    1. Mail 4.4 created a new folder called "Recovered Messages" for the gmail account and started saving tons of messages in it - or copies of one message to be precise. This happened at the exact point in time when Mail stopped receiving emails for this account. The email in this folder is one that I attempted to sent, but never did: I composed it and dragged some attachments into the compose window. One of these - accidentally - turned out to be 25MB so I figured that email is too large and closed/deleted the email before sending it.
It now seems that mail is reloading this gigantic 25+MB email over and over again into the "Recovered Messages" folder. I tried to find that email in Drafts, Sent or Outbox folders but it is nowhere to be found - I have no idea from where Mail loads this over and over again.
Can you help? Many thanks in advance!

First time I can answer my own question
I did some more research and found a thread about the issue of large emails getting stuck and reloaded into Recovered Messages folder:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2153401
This one did the trick for me (posted by Miguel Lira):
If you're experiencing the "Recovered Messages" issue it may be related to offline processes that are failing when you open iMail. For me the fix was to open a terminal window and delete all the files in the following folder: ~/Library/Mail/[email protected]/.OfflineCache
