Someone hacked my skype account

Somehow, someone got my password for my Skype which was not given to anyone by me. I left for a couple hours, came back and I couldn't login. I tried every password, none of them worked. I tried to recover it through my email, but I couldn't login to my gmail account either. Somehow, someone has hacked my account and my gmail account so i cannot recover it. What should I do? I had important contacts that I can't get back because I don't remember their skype name.

So you are saying someone broke into Apple's extremely secure iCloud servers to get access to your account only?
Or you are saying someone knows your iCloud password and used it to access your account? Because that is not hacking.
Do share your Apple ID with anybody?
How you prove it is hard to say. Post something in your iCloud account, in Notes or Pages, only you would know is there. If the person you suspect of hacking suddenly knows it too, you can be reasonably confident he does know your password to your account and is accessing it (different from hacking it).

Here is a list of steps to take:
Change your Skype account password immediately if you have not already done so.
If you have any saved payment methods in your Skype account, change that account password as well!
Change your e-mail account password.
Ensure all updates and patches are installed on your computer.
Run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware program using the most recently available virus signature files available.
I am sure your have notified your contacts of the fraudulent message ...

Contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password. You will need your serial number, which can be found on your device in Settings>General>About.

Has someone hacked into my account?

I recently went into my app store to update some apps.
When I tapped Update, I was asked to sign in. I did so, and then I was told that a new device had logged into my Apple ID and attempted to purchase an app, and I needed to verify my account information for them to do so. I have not bought a new Apple device for 1 and a half years.
Is this an account hack? It happens every time I try to update an app but I don't want to verify my account because it might be a hacker trying to spend my money!
Please help, I only wanted that Skype update!

You have to verify the account like the message says.

Aaaah! Someone hacked my yahoo account!

I am feeling very vulnerable and powerless at the moment, cause I am almost 100% sure that some bastard just hacked into my yahoo account while I was logging in! :'-((
I typed the id and password, and then an error page came up, saying something like: "Error ... blah... are you trying to log on as " and then my id followed by my password in plain text! I'm sure that I typed in the stuff correctly, and that some cracker stuffed up the yahoo system on purpose, so it would display my password in plain text on the web-page.
I subsequently deleted all my messages and then the account.
I am so upset!!! I feel so vulnerable!
Does anyone know of an alternative free, very secure e-mail option?

the idea is to not let them know :) so displaying your password in
plain-text on the site isn't a good way to go; probably all that happened
is what yata suggested ... I occassionally type the password instead of

Single person hacking multiple skype accounts

On a website that has a pretty well used marketplace the main contact method is skype. A person has been hacking skypes and using them to steal lots of money from people. I have no where near an exact number but I'd estimate it to be over $3,000 USD. There is obviously a security loop-hole that needs to be fixed but also how is this person allowed to get away with this? Can i get my money back after someone hacked into my account and bought something with it?

I got an email telling me that someone in another country used my Appstore account to purchase something. I checked my bank statement to see if this was a hoax message but it is true as I can see the same amount from the same country withdrawn from my bank account.
I changed my Apple ID password afterwards, but is there anything I can do/that Apple can do to get the money back that was stolen from me?

Your best bet is to work with your bank to get them to reverse the charges by filing a fraud complaint.

Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?
