Somethig like library

I want to know this.
I have a jar with class'(no-application) that I use. Could I deploy this jar in server. After this in application could I use these classes and can to instance they?
When I try to instance some class ClassLoader of Application connect to ClassLoader of jar and to get instance.
Is this true or not?
Thank you very much.

Features for jdk8:
http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk8/features
Features from jdk7:
http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7/features/
Although both feature lists are pretty long, most changes are technical, specific and back end things which a lot of people never interact with directly.
The big changes in 8 are lambdas, defender methods and the updated collections interfaces and streaming api, which, taken together allow for use of constructs which originated in functional programming languages, such as map functions, foreach functions, etc. The key concept is that you can replace for loops with functions so that you say do an iteration rather than how to do the iteration. There are two reasons to do this. The first is that you can apply a concept like a spliterator to split apart an iteration and perform it in parallel. The second is that you are programming with higher level constructs like map, filter, fold, etc which results in more concise, less error prone code.

  • List View like Library

    Hello All,
Can we create a list view similar like Library Palette. If so which widget needs to be added on the palette.
Basically we would like to show multiple columns as in library palette and allow the user to select one or multiple cells from the widget. As when we select a particular cell it selects the full row.
If anyone has tried this, please do let me know.
Thank you for all the help in Advance.
    Regards,

    Hello All,
I had asked a question last week regarding list view. Has anyone tried the same. If so please do let me know.
    Thank you all in advance.

  • Suggestion: Lightroom "Finder-like" Library

One area of Lightroom I find claustrophobic, is the Left panel's CATALOG, FOLDERS, COLLECTIONS. One, they are too small. Too much information resides in some tiny real estate.  We are in a visual medium, but the most important organization tools are just small text.
It would be nice to have the option of a larger panel, or perhaps use the central panel like a finder to navigate your collections. Yes, you can select a harddrive and see folders in the Central panel. Wouldn't it be nice if you could customize a desktop, have only the folders/collections you want in the order you want them. Put all your unprocessed selected photos in a collection, top left, and a completed collection/ folder top right.
The finder and explorer have been out for a long time. List view is nice sometimes, but the ability to layout a "Lightroom Desktop" iconically instead of lists would make the workflow more satisfying.

Try John's plugin out and see if it can get you part way there. http://lightroomsolutions.com/plug-ins/list-view/

  • Just bought new PC with windows 8.1 and installed the 64bit tunes as instructed by the new PC. Only a small part of my music library is now showing but  can see all the files in the itunes folder on an eternal hard drive linked to my old XP pc.

Problem - changed PC to one with Windows 8.1 ( previous from 2006 with Windos XP). Previously all ITunes stuff on an external harddrive as 80 gigs of music too much for the old PC
When attached Harddrive to new PC was told needed to install the new 64 bit iTunes as 32 bit iTunes not compatable.
Did so but only a very small portion of my music is showning -  though rest of Library is still on the external drive in the folder.
    Help please
    Thanks

Again many thanks. I have tried to tidy up the folders as per your idiot guide- which term is appropriate for me
Under iTunes Media though I do not have  folders for Books,iPod Games, Mobile Applications, Movies, TV Shows so I only have  Auto Add to iTunes, Music, Downloads and Podcasts - My question here is is this OK.
Next - Library files that you mention are there but do not end .itdb
Next  - in the main iTunes folder followingon from Artwork and Media folders  there is some other  iTunes database stuff like Library Extras, Library Genius, Library and Music Library(xml) all dated 10/02/12 plus MimiPlayer .dll dated 21/02/14 and Set Up Short Cut dated22/03/14
AND there is also a Programme Files folder with a sub folder holding file folders called CD Configuration,iTunes Resources, iTunes Help Resources, iTunes Mini Player Resources and Mozilla Plugins all dated 24/03/14 ( when I downloaded the new iTunes) and then a lot of application extension stuff from 2011
To recap I unistalled the old 32 bit iTunes and installed the new 11.1.5 (64 bit) version over the weekend  SO is any of the old stuff listed above required.
Outcome right now is that as previously I can only call up the Downloaded music not Podcats or CD copies.

  • Itunes needs help finding a 1/3 of my music library. is there an easier way

this is my 3rd post to this question with no responses as of yet. please help
"a couple of weeks ago i decided i needed to move my itunes folder to an external hd to save space on my macbook. everything was smooth except for itunes not being able to find a quarter of my music and me having to locate the songs one by one. i bought an iphone yesterday and decided my life would be much easier to move the music back to the computer and make room by moving other things off the macbook. i was also thinking this may remedy the missing file problem. nope. i know how to find the songs and they're in the right place, just wondering if there is an easier way then locating 3000+ songs individually? not sure whats going on. thanks "

  • My iphoto 6 library

Hi. I am using iphoto 08. The problem is that I still have my iphoto 6 library from two different computers and I can't see the photos. How can I import them into iphoto 8? I tried the simple way which is taking out the iphoto library file (08), and putting iphoto 6 library file, but it was to simple, didn't work. Any suggestion?
    Thanks.
    jro

    jro:
In order for iPhoto Library manager to merge the four libraries they all must be at the same version. Therefore, one approach would be to copy each of the three libraries to the computer running iPhoto 08. Rename the folders before copying to something like Library-1, Library-2, etc. Copy them into the Pictures folder containing your iPhoto 08 library. Since they will all have different names there will be no replacing or overwriting of libraries.
Next launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed and, when asked, select Choose Library. Open Library-1 and let it convert to the iPhoto 08 version. Do the same with the other three libraries.
Now open the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager and add all 5 libraries to it's pane on the left. Now you can merge Library-1, 2, 3 and 4 into the primary library (named just iPhoto Library).
Once you've satisfied that your primary library has all of your photos and is running satisfactorily you can delete Library-1, -2, -3 and -4.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Adding a Library with JDeveloper 10.1.3

Several of my JDeveloper 10.1.3 applications use outside libraries such as Javamail. No problem with that - I just open Project Properties and add the library. Works great.
The problem comes when either I install a new version of JDeveloper, like when I upgraded from 10.1.3.4 to 10.1.3.5, or when another developer checks out the application from source control to work on the project. As far as I can see, the project is pointing at a ".library" file that is in the depths of the /jdev/system subdirectory of my JDeveloper home directory. The .library file doesn't get moved when I migrate settings from an older version of JDeveloper to an newer one, so the project is still pointing at my old home directory. So if I clean up old versions of JDeveloper, I wind up having to add the library again.
It's even worse when another developer opens the project - that developer doesn't even have the .library file. So of course, he has to add the library manually. And the library file locations are relative, so heaven help me if the library is in a different relative place on my computer than it is on the other developer's. He changes the properties, deletes the pointer to the library that I added, re-adds the library relative to his own JDev home, and does his changes and testing. Then I come along and what worked for me yesterday doesn't work anymore until I change it back.
Is there a way to escape from library hell? Is this fixed in JDeveloper 11g?
Edited by: jflack on Jan 29, 2010 8:38 AM

    Thanks, Dai.
    So, to summarize:
    <ol>
<li>I'll define my libraries at the project level, which will store the definitions in the .jpr file, not in .library files in the JDeveloper home directory. That will make sure that I won't have to re-define libraries when I change JDeveloper versions.</li>
<li>I'll copy libraries used by a project into a library directory within the project. Even though it may mean duplicate copies of libraries in various places, at least it will mean that any working directory containing the project will also have a copy of the library in the place the project expects it to be.</li>
<li>I'll see what I can do to speed along our upgrade to JDeveloper 11g. When we switch to 11g, we should be able to point at a shared network resource with a fixed location for libraries.</li>
    </ol>
And finally, I need to enter a few enhancement requests:
    <ol>
<li>JDeveloper should not store preferences and other user files like .library files under the JDeveloper home directory. SQL Developer has been storing this stuff under the user's home directory (Documents and Settings\username in Windows XP, /home/username in Linux) for several years now, why not JDeveloper?</li>
<li>The one major thing keeping us on JDeveloper 10g is that 11g doesn't support deployment to OC4J. Our production application servers run OAS 10.1.3, and we don't have time to learn how to run WebLogic. Tomcat might be acceptable, since at least it runs under Apache like OC4J, but I'm seeing conflicting information about certification of deployment on Tomcat.</li>
    </ol>

  • Working with library items

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dreamweaver/cs/using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7e49a .html

Personally, I don't like library items as any changes need to be applied to the document the library item is used in, then each document that uses it needs to be uploaded to the live server, and you might just miss a file or two that uses it leaving you with inconsistencies across your site.
My preference is to use a server side include (SSI) file which are for all intents and purposes, the same thing, but when you update it, you simply upload that one file and it automatically populates the changes across your site whereever it is used on all pages that use it. Much simpler and cleaner.
The only drawback is that you need to be using php, asp etc rather than html... or atleast that's the case in my experience.

  • Do we need a Library and Develop Module?

Do we really need a Library and Develop module? There's lots of dissatisfaction with Lightroom speed and one of the problem areas is when switching from Library, when in standard preview or 1:1, to Develop and the 'loading' message appears or as on my mac the dreaded spinning beach ball goes crazy. Even with all the previews created it's still slow.
So, if we have a standard preview or 1:1 loaded why can't we automatically be ready to apply any adjustments and save an extra step to another module? The quick develop in the library seems unnecessary and I've never used it. That leaves the metadata and keywording panels requiring a new location, but again these are not something I need to refer to on a regular basis.
    Anyone else any similar thoughts?

    > ...but I'm pretty darn sure there won't be any back-stepping to REMOVE or substantially alter LR's basic premise...pretty sure Develop will always be about dealing with a single image adjustment (and applying that adjustment to other images if you wish).
And I'm okay with this premise, but it needs additional functionality, such as the ability to apply relative adjustments. It already has this via the keyboard shortcuts while hovering. It just needs a UI adjustment (I once did a mockup of this, and I think it works) and the ability for autosync to recognize them as relative adjustments to the other images.
It also needs additional views. Grid, survey and compare would be nice, but you're only adjusting a single image's RAW data rendering at a time - the others are shown as previews and adjustments to them are rendered that way (like Library does).
The issue is, many people like me end up switching modules far too often. I generally go back and forth between Library and Develop hundreds of times per day. That's way too many times to be suffering the module-switching penalty. I'd prefer to select the images I'm working on in Library, and never see that module again until I'm done working on them. For now, grid and survey are too often needed, and so are relative adjustments.
Develop already has most of the needed functionality. Relative adjustments are already available to one image, a grid is available but only at 1 row (film strip supplied by Library) and a quick-render (the image in the upper left) is available as well. This just needs to be expanded and adjusted so that going back and forth to Library isn't as necessary as it is now. Ideally, you'd import in Library, to your metadata stuff there or in other related modules, choose the image group you want to work on using filters/folders/collections/find, then go to Develop and work on them until you are done.

  • Library software cost

    Greetings,
Seriously speaking, I am a beginner and I have made a library software frontend using the java language, I have only made the codes. Well, I wish to get it into a CD, so that I can sell it, containing all the datas required for the proper functioning.
Well, as I know that my java program needs the JAVA environment, and I have made a short cut and the .exe file using a program called Javaexe. So If I do that then I will have to include the JRE in the CD too.
Please let me know the standard way of how java softwares are made into the CD for sale.
    Thank you.

I also would like to know how much this software could cost, my library software has the features of
Searching the book name, content, author, it has modify options, its a general software, having database till 55 fields containg all minute details of the book, cd, magazine.... It shows statistics of the library, it's settings like library name, password, periods kept, picture officers in charge can be chenged.
It has password protection, a good interface thats easy to use, it also shows remarks of each item, you can also view the whole database as it is in a JTable. Well, it uses Microsoft Access as the backend database.
So what do you think a software of such features may cost?
    Thank you.

  • Delete /Library/Preferences ?

One of my users has a couple of odd things going on.  One is applications complaining about weird keychains.  Adobe Reader was beefing about something like ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Acrobat/11.0/Security/somethingorother  On that same machine, I saw something unhappy about BuddySomethingOrOther keychain.  The other issue is login attempts that sit there with a spinning beach ball until the system is rebooted.
My initial thought was, "Delete all system preferences!"  But I couldn't find any mentions of doing that via Google, so I figured I'd check first :-)

    Ah. Your initial post noted:
    ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Acrobat/
Since the tilde means the user account, I the presumed you meant any preferences related to that folder, not the root Library.
For the main /Library/Preferences folder, I wouldn't touch until I knew I had a way to easily fix it in case the Mac wouldn't boot to that partition after clearing it. It's easy enough. Just have any other partition with a bootable installation of OS X on it that has been tested to be sure you can indeed startup to it.
Then as before, move all preference files in the /Library/Preferences/ folder to a new folder. In this case, better to move them (or copy then delete the originals) to the other bootable drive so permission issues don't prevent you from getting at them when starting up to the other partition. Restart. Since they are preferences, and not critical system files, the Mac shouldn't have any trouble restarting. It should rebuild anything that's missing at default settings.
However, that's what the other bootable drive is for. It the Mac does balk at the removal of these preference files, then you restart and boot to the other partition. From there, copy the original preference files back into the /Library/Preferences/ folder of the drive you're testing.

  • Spotlight Library Indexing Workaround

It's been established that Spotlight doesn't index files in the /Library folder. I have files in the home/Library/Application Support/<an application I use> folder I'd like indexed. I do research and this program (which keeps track of PDFs and other files for me) stores the master copies here. I'd like them indexed and to appear by default.
I can think of two ways to get around this:
    1) Write a Spotlight plugin using Xcode to include these files.
    2) I think there is a way to "fool" the application I'm using itself into thinking it's putting files here, but to actually put in a pointer in the file system to a folder where the files could actually reside and, be indexed.
Does either of these alternatives sound feasible? Thanks.

No., Spotlight does index everything; however, it won't report the results from certain places like /Library/ and "home"/Library/Preferences/, and where you want to search. The easiest way around these is to create a SmartSearch for where you want to look. Open the home/Library/Application Support folder, enter something in the search field, and you'll note that "home" changes to "Applicatioin Support". Save it. Then, you can call it within a Finder find window (CMD+F). Note, some people claim that you can change the folder by using CMD+F, but it doesn't work here. You might also search these forums for spotlight, which reveals http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1243619 among others.

  • Got new Nano. Now only a small part of library will sync.

I upgraded from a first gen. 4gb Nano to a brand new 16gb Nano. I had about 3gb in my old nano and added songs frequently with no problems.
