Something wrong in Photoshop CC!

I am running the latest version of PS CC on a MacBook Pro OS 10.8.5 with 16GB of ram. When I started my computer this morning an update from Adobe came up so I ran it. Now the move tool and the free transform function are not working. Literally nothing happens when I click drag with the move tool and when I try to use free transform I get an error message I've never seen:
"Could not transform because the initial bounding rectangle is empty.."
Am I the only one experiencing these peroblems? I was working on this computer last night using PS on the exact same files and did not run into this problem. Perhaps it was something in the update I ran this morning? The description for the update claimed it added a new version of Camera Raw and added new camera profiles. I don't see how, but its possible that the update effected the way the tools work, or in my case not work.
Any Thoughts?

I have been using Photoshop and Illustrator since high school in the early 90's. On more occasions than I can count I have attempted to communicate my concerns about loopholes and issue with various versions of the programs. I have been hung up on by Adobe personnel, insulted by tech support and generally ignored while discussing most if not every criticism or suggestion I have made.
Recently I had the opportunity to lend Adobe my view and did so, speaking for over an hour with one of your survey companies. I made several suggestions on how PS, AI and several other programs can be improved but I am not holding my breath. If your track record with me is any indication, the conversation has already been deleted.
For over 20 years I have used Adobe products with an above average track record for reliability and you guys consistently surprise me with the innovations you program into the suite. This, the fact that Adobe is the industry standard and because you really don't have any serious competition I use your products, not because of your customer service or your responsiveness to my requests for action. If there was a serious alternative, I would take it.
I don't think Adobe takes its users seriously since we are all disposable to a company as big as Adobe. Don't get me wrong, I like what you are doing most of the time, but locating your tech support in India is a mistake. Hosting this open forum is a great way for us to communicate however you're not listening when we speak, at least it doesn't appear so here.
Since Adobe is the biggest fish in the pond, or the only fish it would seem, they have no real incentive to actually listen to us, just to present the appearance of such for the sake of publicity and so the people who work on the front lines feel comfortable in saying that they do. If they did, I feel the company would be a different place, and the programs would be better.

Is there something wrong with Photoshop CS5 text tool?
Since I started working with Photoshop CS5, I have experienced that the text tool makes everything slow when I click on that tool and click anywhere in the file. Did anybody experience the same problem? Do you know the solution.

Other than that are Photoshop and OS fully updated and have you performed the usual trouble-shooting routines (trashing prefs by keeping command-alt-shift/ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop, 3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, font validation, etc.)? -
Ive just signed up for the adobe photoshop pack, i use a mac, when i click download, nothing is happening.. Am I doing something wrong?? When I try and open the software I already had from trial it says its expired, or i need to use a serial number... HELP Anyone else experienced this?
If there is an option to "license this software", and it takes you to a sign-in page with username and password (not a serial number) - then just go ahead and sign in.
If it insists on a serial number you need to uninstall the trial. Then try to download again. -
Extensions appeared in my Photoshop CC but no longer appear in my Photoshop CC 2014? Am I doing something wrong?

This problem has been widely commented on this forum. Key point : since Adobe has withdrawn Flash support in PS extensions, most of them are now incompatible with PS CC 2014 and have to be rewritten. -
So I just dowloaded Photoshop and I never got it. I dont know if im doing something wrong or anything. It say that i purchased it so if anyone can help me that would be great
That link want to launch an Adobe download manager. That may not be working on your machine for some reason. Try using this link to download the direct installer. I have a Windows 8.1 and it's even running slow. I'm a complete novice with computers (I've only had this one for 3 weeks) and I'm probably doing something wrong, but I haven't a clue what.
The tools are not responding when I try to use them. Some of them work sometimes, but not others and some don't work at all. I'm in a design class online and I need these tools desperately. I have an assignment due Monday and I'm losing the whole weekend because Tech Support is only open M-F!
Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated.

Not Enough Memory or Something Wrong with Printer error
My Epson 820 printer works fine and I can print a nozzel check pattern from the printer utility software. However, I can't print from any of my software. I keep getting the error "Something Wrong with Printer" or from some software I get "Not Enough Memory".
I'm not having any other problems and can do complex graphics in Photoshop without any memory issues. I've checked my printer setup and it clearly sees my printer. My Epson 820 also shows up in the Printing Options dialog box.
Any suggestions?Thanks for these suggestions. I believe it's my computer. I've started having additional problems. I opened a .pdf in Acrobat Reader and tried to print. After that I couldn't shut down my computer. Alarmed, I connected my firewire backup disk and backed up my hard drive. Then when I tried to eject the external drive, it didn't allow me to disconnect. It reappeared with the disk icon and a second folder labeled as the external drive but showing the drive was empty. I shut down and rebooted; all my files are in tact on the external drive but there's definitely a computer issue here.
Any suggestions how I should proceed? -
Surprisingly jaggy output - am I doing something wrong?

The first is a screencap of the fullscreen view in Aperture. The image is a 1728x1153 crop from an 8mp original. Not a great picture, but it looks OK.
The second is that same version exported as a full-quality jpeg set to "fit within 1280 x 1280." Jaggy!
What's going on here? The results are so bad that I must be doing something wrong. All I'm doing is selecting the 1728 version, choosing export version, and selecting the export option (JPEG - fit within 1280 x 1280).
The third image, btw, was produced by exporting the cropped original as PSD and doing the resize/jpeg encoding in Photoshop. Looks much better.
And thoughts about what's going on here?

Dual Core 2.3GHz PowerMac G5, 2GB RAM, GeForce 6600 Mac OS X (10.4.6) Canon Digital Rebel XT, Edirol UA-5OK, it looks like the jagginess only happens when I set the export DPI to 300 with my particular original and export sizes. When I set it to 72, the exported version looks fine and is not jaggy.
I see the same behavior for jpgs, tiffs, and psd.
I also tried with some small sizes and found something else. When you export to "fit within 320 x 320" and you choose 72 DPI, the image gets sharpened. If you choose 300 DPI the image is not sharpened. Strange. Maybe there's a reason for that I don't get.
This is what I'm seeing for all export types (jpgs, tiffs, etc) starting with a 1728 x 1153 image:
320 x 320, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
320 x 320, 300 DPI: not sharpened, soft but no jaggies
640 x 640, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
640 x 640, 300 DPI: not sharpened, soft but no jaggies
800 x 800, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
800 x 800, 300 DPI: not sharpened, soft but no jaggies
1024 x 1024, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
1024 x 1024, 300 DPI: sharpened but with nasty jaggies
1280 x 1280, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
1280 x 1280, 300 DPI: sharpened but with nasty jaggies
Original Size, 72 DPI: It doesn't look sharpened at all, no jaggies
Original Size, 300 DPI: It doesn't look sharpened at all, no jaggies
50% Size, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
50% Size, 300 DPI: not sharpened, soft but no jaggies
25% Size, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely
25% Size, 300 DPI: not sharpened, soft but no jaggies
And more data, but this time starting with a 3456 x 2298 (digital rebel default) image:
1280 x 1280, 72 DPI: sharpened nicely (some images a bit too much)
1280 x 1280, 300 DPI: not sharpened, soft but no jaggies
So it looks like the combination of using 300 DPI and certain original and export sizes can result in some nastiness.
It is also interesting to note that in most situations, using 300 DPI turns off or greatly reduces the automatic export sharpening. Juicy info for those looking for ways to circumvent that feature.

when i contol click on the downloads icon in the dock i get the gris view . I thought if you control click, you are able to change the view to fan or list. am I doing something wrong.? Icheck to make sure the contol key is working by doing a screenshot and it works there. What am I doing wrong?

If it says your billing info is wrong that means that your credit card issuer is refusing to approve your account. You will have to solve the problem with your bank or credit card company.

I have added photos to My Photo Stream on my PC (Windows 7). They appear in the Uploads folder instead. They do not upload to iCloud. Am I doing something wrong?
Unfortunately, photo stream on a PC is iffy at best. Many people have problems getting it to work properly, including myself. A work around would be to use an app like PhotoSync on your PC, which can send photos wirelessly to the camera roll on any of your iOS devices on the same wifi network. Once in the camera roll, you iOS device will be added to your photo stream.

Some of my loops are greyed out... is there something wrong?
In my loop browser some but not all of my loops are greyed out and can't be played. For instance, slide guitar, celeste, vocals and horns. Should these be normally accessible and if so what could be wrong with mine. How can I fix this?
Thank you. I thought there was something wrong with my Garageband installation but now I know that if I want these I have to buy the Jam packs. Last time I looked at a Jam Pack box it didn't list the detailed contents (loops) though.

My iphone 4s wont sync when I connect it to the pc( not apple). It is connected as it comes up on itunes but when I try to sync it with apps/ music etc it wont. I am doing something wrong or is it a mistake with the phone. I am still able to download apps and music from itunes on my phone though.
I already restored it but that didn't help.
TIA for any replies.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I bough a used Macbook Pro mid 2009 that came with OS 10.8.9 it didn't have a backup restore disk with S/N W8******66D
When trying to view some youtube videos; a window would pop up saying "it needs adobe flash player is required for video play back get the latest flash player" but after downloading the file and during installation would have errors and will not installed.....tried to reboot and install again.....but still the same.
The othe thing I had noticed is when using a good Bose headset with mic the sound output would noticed the headset and then switch from headset to Internal speekers and headset.....thinking that there might be something wrong with the plug in port of the computer or the headset.....the headset works with no issues on my iPad so there must be something wrong with the computer.....tried to move the plugin around the port but no change....while the headset is plug in can hear a short clicking noise and the sound would get lost and back again......but with nothing plugin to the port there is no issue with the sound or mic.

Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -
I am new to Final Cut Express and don't understand why I am unable to drag transitions into Canvas? Something wrong in my setup? It's not the overlays they are "on" so can anyone advise me please, by the way the "L" doesn't appear in the bottom left hand corner either? and by the way how can I get rid of that irritating Blue badge saying "AutoFill your contact details" all mine are in "address book" already!
You can't drag a transition into the canvas. If you're dragginmg a transition from the effects tab you drag it between the edit point of two clips in the timeline.
Make sure show edit overlays is turned on in the Canvas view popup.
