Song play on Ipod doesnt play on Ipad

Ipod and Itunes can play selected songs. The some of the same selected songs on the Ipad 3 will not play. Some songs that actually play skip around. Anyone else having this issue?

I have the same issue. The songs play on my iPod, but don't play on my iPhone. I've had a question posted about this for a few weeks now.

now whenever i play my ipod and select a song to play it just skips onto another song even though it used to play it fine the other day. it even skips songs belonging to a whole album and i have not changed any settings or anything! help pls!

I don't know if my problem/solution will help in your case, but yesterday I purchased an album on itunes, and although it downloaded and played on itunes just fine, when it sync'd to my 60GB ipod, only some of the songs played. I tried restoring the ipod, but that did not solve the problem. So, while waiting to hear back from tech support, I decided to delete the entire album from both the music listing and the purchased music listing AFTER burning a CD (and making sure it was a good burn). I did a sync to make sure the listing was removed from the ipod, then imported the newly burned CD, did another sync, and voila! all the songs on the album now play without any skipping. Hopefully this will work with your problem (unless you're experiencing skipping on all your albums)

Song corrupted in iPod while plays fine in iTunes, but can't be re-imported

I have a play list of MP3 songs that I created from the same CD. They have played for a long time in my iPod (probably iPod 3) until today when I wanted to edit them (change "Composer"). One song just won't change. After inspection I discovered the "info' was grayed out. When I tried to play it, it won't play.
When I played the same song in iTunes, it played fine. I deleted the song from iPod (not sure what Apple was doing. Did it delete the song, or just remove it from the list?), then re-import again. Same problem. When I look at it in iPod alone, the song disappeared. Just to note that I can see it in iTunes when I connect my iPod to my PC.
I can assure you the song is fine (the ine in my PC), compatible with iPod (mp3, part of a group that all work), not such thing as read-only etc. What's going on and how do I fix this?

My ipod doesnt play sound on Videos

I have recently purchased the 80GB Ipod video,and I uploaded many videos but it doesnt play the sound.Could any one help me on this?

Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

Itunes does not mark podcasts which have been played on ipod as played

When I sync my ipod with itunes, podcasts which I have played on my ipod are not marked as played on itunes. However, if I have played a podcast on itunes it does mark the podcast as played on both itunes and my ipod. This used to work at one time, but for some reason has stopped. How do I get it working again so that itunes will mark a podcast which has been played on my ipod as played and not remark my already played podcast as unplayed after syncing?

I'm having very similar behavior. I wish Apple would get pay a lot more attention to the numerous podcasting sybching/ playing issues. In my case, there's a couple of podcasts in particular that even though I listen to the particular podcast, it never is recognized as having been listened to on my iPod. As a result, old podcasts just seem to keep "hanging around" and are never overwritten or deleted from my iPod (4 GB , nano, 1st generation) when I sync up. Apple... pay attention... please...! Anyone else have this particular behavior ?

I dowloaded 9 songs and 2 of them are not not complete when I play them on my IPOD Classic the songs play then 3/4's of the way they end.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Itunes plays normally, iPod only plays a piece of the song

I have one song that plays normally in iTunes 3:49 sec. Once synced to the iPod, it only plays about :30 sec of the song. Out of 3000 songs, this is the only one that does this. Why would iTunes play it fine but not my iPod?

You are the best at what you know and do. This is my exact same problem. the song is LOW by Flo-Rida. (you know it, APPLE BOTTOM JEANS, BOOTS WITH THE FUR?) plays 3:53 in itunes but only 0:16 seconds on ipod. The songs in my iPod only play halfway! help please!

some of the songs i have plays perfectly on quicktime and iTunes but when it is imported into my iPod, it only plays halfway. Ipod doesnt play music when connected to usb port

ipod nano wont play music through the usb port. My Iphone and another nano works on the same port. Cabe is good.
The song is displayed and I can switch to other songs but no output.

It' s my third ipod. The first had an error. The second also. I don't know if the third has also an error. There are some podcasts which do not work on my ipod. They work in itunes but when i try to copy them on my ipod he says: "this podcast do not work on your ipod because of the format".There are about 19 podcats which do not work Sometimes when there are 3parts of the serie the first part works and the others not.It's not normal?

The fact that the Podcasts will not play because they are in the wrong format is normal, and it doesn't mean your iPod has an error, it just means your iPod doesn't know how to read/play the format the Podcasts are in. Try selecting the Podcasts that do not play in iTunes and then go to the advanced menu in iTunes and select "convert selection for iPod/iPhone" then re-transfer the newly converted podcast(s) to your iPod and see if they play now?

Videora works . . . but iPod doesnt play file??

Hey everyone, I've been doing research and tried out videora and it works pretty good and extremely quick. After I convert the files I add them to iTunes and then upload them to my iPod video . . . however the video file starts to play but there is no picture and the audio is just STATIC . . ive tried different video files in case the original file is corrupted, but they all end up the same way . . . any help?

Visuallization schemes playing while ipod is playing music.

Ok, so most of the time while you are listening to music on the ipod, one is somewhere doing a task that should get done. But, wait what if you are sitting to wait for a train, don't really want to watch a video because you don't want to get too into so you don't miss the buss, so you end up looking at the ipod screen watching the title screen of the current song playing scroll endlessly. Is there any software,like the visualization that you could turn on the iTunes itself. If there is, well can someone point me to it or suggest it so apple could release this as a firmware update?

My music doesnt play, my music doesnt play

bought my iphone 4 8g last month from verizon wireless and i try to play music from my phone and it i dont hear anything. i restored it thru itunes and i tried to rest it many time and i also took my phone back to verizon and they couldnt help me/ they said to take it to an apple store but all im getting is the run around. please help me. can i get a new phone replacement.

Yeah...no.... Take it to the apple store so you can actually deal with people who know what they are talking about. Never take an Apple product to a provider that just reads troubleshooting steps from a screen.

Why is iTunes play count not updating for SOME songs played on iPod Touch?

I have noticed that when I play some songs on my iPod the play count won't update. This only happens with some I bought recently. I was actually testing witha song I purchased 3 weeks ago and the play count will only update if I play it on the computer. However, when I played the song on my iPod Touch 4g running iOS 5, nothing happened. How can I fix this as I use the recently played playlist quite often. also, Im pretty sure most of the songs were downloaded from iTunes app in my iPod.

I've had this problem before with my 1G and still have it with my 2G. I can replicate it EVERY TIME.
If I listen to nothing but music on my iPod touch, and then go back home and sync, I have no problems with the playcount and smart playlists.
However, if I listen to a bunch of music, then play a few games, or browse Safari for a while, any record of my recently listened to music is wiped out. The Music application even loses my place in what song I was listening to and even which artist/album I was last listening to -- kicking me back to main music screen when I click the Music icon on the Home screen.
My hypothesis -- Apple is not using a dedicated/untouchable portion of memory to store playcounts. It is shared with all other memory access. So if an application or Safari uses a lot of memory during your session AFTER you've played your music, your playcounts gets wiped out in the process.
But that's just my take on the situation.
