Sony A7 memory recall when not wanted?

Hello community member! It's my first post here 'm having a rather odd issue with my A7 purchased not so long ago. The memory recall screen will appear from time to time for no apparent reason, even I have my mode dial on S or A. Some time it even happens when I simply holding the camera without touching any button, however it seems the issue most often triggered by pressing C2 button which I assigned to magnifying focus. this is rather annoying as I would be in middle of a shot then all in a sudden memory recall happens and changed to a completely different setting. Many times I spend time to adjust back to the setting I wanted, only to have another unintended memory recall and have to start over - a recipe to miss the shot.... I have updated to latest firmware v2.0, and have tried to factory reset a few times, issue remains. Any suggestion? At this point I don't even care about the memory function, if there is a way to disable the memory I'd be happy... kind regards and thanks in advance.

Good day and thank you for the comment. There is no way to disable Memory Recall but you can restore the settings back to default if you wish to. MENU → (Setup) → [Setting Reset] → Initialize. After initializing, the settings in the Memory Recall should be removed. Also PlayMemories Camera apps will also be uninstalled but you can download them again.

How prevent iCal ALARM reminders popping up when not wanted?

Sometimes I don't want to see my alarm box popping up to remind me of things.
Suddenly, & frequently, the pesky iCal Alarm box pops up in the middle of the screen with another preset alarm reminder, insisting on my immediate attention. Like when I'm watching a video on my mac.
Then I've got to get up and move it out of the way, but as soon as I touch it, the video which I've set to full screen shrinks to small & I've got to click it to big again. This is just one of the inconveniences.

I've made lots of iCal alarms to remind me of things throughout the day. so these interruptions are a constant problem.
Q#2: Why doesn't my ALARM BOX show active the Yellow Button so I could relegate it to the side Dock? Or even the Green Button, so I could enlarge it when I want to see all my open reminders without scrolling?
Instead, My ical ALARM BOX only has the Red button, which closes it out and loses all those reminders therein until it's their time again.

Auto Fill when not wanted

Trying to fill out an application and when I enter info it auto fills on the like field afterwards. Example: My home address is not the same as my work address. When I try to change the work address it changes my home address. I don't want that to happen.

Actually, there's NOTHING you can do about it with Reader.
As was stated, when a form is created with Acrobat or LiveCycle, fields can be "repeating" like initials in a contract, where needed. That way, once the end user enters the initials once, the rest of the fields (which all have the same name) will populate with the same info.
Whoever authored that form did this with the "Address" field. Since both work address and home address have the same name, Adobe Reader is designed to populate them with the same info. Reader cannot undo this setting.

How do I stop iPhoto opening when not wanted?

I don't use iPad - I prefer Lightroom. So when my iMac was updated to Yosemite iPhoto started opening every time I plug a compact flash card into the iMac. This is annoying to say the least as each time I have to close it making sure it doesn't start importing images into the wrong place.
How do I "turn off" this feature? No is no help in the iPhoto "help" and online Apple isn't any better.

Changing this in iPhoto alone may not suffice. Then change the setting in Image Capture as well.
Insert your Compact Card reader with the card inserted.
Then launch Image Capture.
Under "Devices" select your card reader. Then click the disclosure triangle in the lower left corner to reveal the ""Connecting this ... opens" and set this to Light Room or "No Application".
You will have to do this for each photo device (camera, iPhone, iPad, ...) you own.

Classic always loads at startup (reboot), when not wanted

I used an old version of Quark XPress last week (because Quark 6 is such a beast in OSX, but that's another story), so of course launching prompted the simultaneous loading of the Classic flavor of OS9. I completed the work I was doing at that time (actually I gave up reviving a newly-corrupted Quark file, but that's another story) and now a week later after multiple reboots each time I am getting Classic loaded at the same time. When I go into Classic under System Preferences, the box labeled "Start Classic when you log in" is NOT checked.
How can I get rid of this added parasite to my bootup routine, when it is not needed?

go to system preferences, click accounts and then click the login items tab. What applications are in the list, if one of them says something about classic click it and the click the minus button at the bottom of the window.

MacBOOK Air 11-inch Goes in Sleep/Idle Mode when Not Wanting it To

I have set my energy saving preferences when connected to the power-adapter to NEVER SLEEP on my MACBOOK AIR 11inch, however; after 20minutes no matter what program is up and running at the time (i.e. be it a moive, blank screen, etc.) it will go in to idel mode/screen saver mode. Trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with this. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Go to System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver > Screen Saver tab > Move the Start screen saver slider to the right. Never.

Hello guys, I have so many problems with my internal memory and which is driving me nuts, always out of space and cannot update any app, so I want to root and to use my sd card as my internal memory ( using link2sd from the play store) fist of all is there any other methods to make my sd card as my internal memory? Secondly can you give me full pros and cons of rooting. And also please can I root my live with walkman on ics .587 directly without reverting to .62 and then upgrading again to 4.0.4 .587 by flashtool ??? And if not if i reverted to the gingerbread .62 can i upgrade again to official .587 ICs by flashtool ? And can I root just with the stock rom without changing it ( as i do not want to use any custom rom , i love sony's rom! and i do not like any unstable thing! is it possible and will it behave well with root access). And please can you give me full procedures for rooting?? And also please can I unroot a rooted phone?? Thanks so much dear in the advance! While running the rooting toolkit, your phone should be on. Don't remove and reinsert battery at that step.
It's only when you need to flash your phone using flashtool

Finder > Finder Menu > Finder Preferences (these are not in System Preferences)
The General pane has checkboxes for various devices to show on the Desktop. A memory card is considered an external drive. If you want to see it on the Desktop when it mounts, check the external drives checkbox.

P800 "Not Enough Memory" error when trying to use Contacts

Now even after I reset my P800 from iSync I get this 'Not enough memory' error when I try to use my contact list.
This is getting really frustrating! I want to downgrade...

I suspect it's the feed as I've just tried it and the latest episode fails. Try contacting the Podcast's producer/publisher to let them know, since they may not. From your linked page, click on their name and follow that to their website, where you should find contact details.
By the way, even if the problem is with iTunes, it's still down to the producer/publisher to rectify it, which is why I suggest you contact them

I use Pre11 on my iMac and my laptop PC.
For capturing HDV on iMac/Prel from my Sony HC9, I separate each clip manually by visualizing scenes on the cam screen.
This because HDV capture does not work as DV capture on Elements : scene split by timecode is not possible, and visualization on Mac screen during capture
does not work, according to the product documentation I use. If you want to separate clips, after complete capture, you have to select split by content, which generates
several clips but needs time to process.
Faced to the same issue as yours for scene split, I use this process :
- on my laptop, I use HDVsplit (free software) which perfectly captures tape files and separates each clip by time code
- on my Mac, I capture files by iMovie which does the split process automatically, then I use the import from folder iMovie events in PREL11.
Nevertheless, for small video files, I use manual splitting when I want to use only Prel. The problem is to go backward on tape sometimes to be sure to have all the images
because manual operations are not as efficient as automatic process.

If the books are not copy protected (like the many free books at http://www.gutenberg.org), you just drag them into iTunes and can read them with the iBooks app.
If you bought the books in the Sony Reader store via their Ereader Library application, they will have copy protection. You can use the BlueFire Reader App on the iPad to read them. It's a free app on the app store (http://www.bluefirereader.com/ipad.html).
When you launch BlueFire Reader, you will authenticate the app with Adobe. This will be the password you used to purchase the books (either from the Sony Reader store or via Adobe Digital Editons).
Instructions for moving the epubs from your library to the BlueFire reader are here (http://www.topicsites.com/ebooks-topics/bluefire-reader.htm).
If you are on a mac, the books should be in your Documents, My Books, Reader Library.
If your on a PC, it should be in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Books\Reader Library

I'm fairly new to this, but I think it has to do with the way you have the drop downs named. Did you copy one then keep pasting it in each field? If so, that is the problem. You should rename each one with a different number: Dropdown1, Dropdown2, etc. I think that might solve the issue.

Solved the problem. I had to allow cookies for safari and it run - as here: Re: itunes keeps asking for my apple id password. it's NOT entered incorrectly.

have a text convo with the person you want to delete. Go to the top contact in the text convo, hit edit contact, and delete that contact.
That resolution came from another thread on this issue, and this did solve to poster's issue.
