Been a few days!
Sorry my post wasn't very clear when I said an audio patch under the set I meant that I created the patch as a child of the set, but it still didn't work. However after a bit of playing I have discovered that it all works if I load a software instrument strip in each patch even if that instrument has nothing assigned to its input. Without it my keyboard doesn't seem to trigger the software synths set at set level. I also had the problem that sustain pedal wouldn't work at patch level, but after view the board I found a solution to that.
So all in all after a bit of teething troubles it now does what I need to do. Thanks very much for your reply and idea, they have made mainstage possible for me to use live!!!!
PS Does it not seem madness that apple haven't implemented a way of making an instrument available to multiple patches without having to load it into memory several times. My IMac has 4gb of ram and even using some disk streaming synths I still fill that 4gb. To have a simple way of ghosting an instruments a channel (i.e. to give control at a patch level of a set / concert level instrument would seem to be a simple task)

I've been looking for this myself but can't seem to find what you are
looking for - which is kind of a problem since it would make it a lot
easier to deploy patches if you did not need to go in and set these
options on every deployment.

1) This trigger prevents people from changing their password. It also prevents people from creating users, dropping users, or modify attributes of users. That seems unlikely to be what you really want-- why would you want to force a DBA to be involved for a random user to change his database password?
2) Assuming that you are OK with the restrictions in #1, you just need to check the USER function in your IF statement, i.e.

          Looking at the document provided by weblogic , it looks like it
          automatically passes the object by 'value' even if it is set 'true'(Only
          incase of bean is running in a different container/server)

You cannot pass-by-reference a non-RMI Object across 2 VMs, no matter what the flag is, no matter
          what application server you are running under. An object reference in one VM is meaningless in
          another VM, for they do not share the same memory-address-space.
          Even though EJBs are RMI Objects, their method arguments are not unless you explicitly pass the RMI
          interface.

You are not alone. I thought it was just me, but I realize
that I am not alone. It looks like that Adobe is very busy updating
some of content somewhere around the site. But it shouldn't happen
like being so grossly, painfully-slow-as-snail slow!

okay, it's time to check if you have a weird registry problem. (the problem i'm thinking about produces the same error message.)
we diagnose that by creating a new user account (with full administrative privileges). you can do that in your "user accounts" control panel. there's help documentation on it to the left of the screen. while you're in there, also switch off "fast user switching" in your logging-on preferences.
now log on to the new user account. can you successfully launch itunes from inside there?

I had the same issue. I found a solution under a different thread posted by scubastevee32. It worked for me. I copied pasted his solution below.
after countless hours of dead ends.... I found this to fix the problem(thank you "b noir")
hat one could be being caused by a problem with your QuickTime. (itunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)
so let's try swapping out your QuickTime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it launch properly now?

Hi, I was using Tweetdeck for the past few months without any problems. Recently, the application still works fine.. it opens as normal, all posts I am following appear etc., but when I try to send a tweet the application closes and I get the error
"tweetdeck.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I uninstalled tweetdeck and reinstalled it many times. Sometimes it would work for twenty minutes, other times not at all. I got fed up trying, so uninstalled it and downloaded Seesmic. This new application opened perfectly, all users I am following and their tweets updated perfectly, until again I went to post a tweet and it closes and I get the error
"seesmic desktop.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
As these are the only two applications I have used that give me this error, and are also the only two applications I have used that are related to Adobe AIR, I can only assume the problem is connected somehow?
I was wondering if any of you might have any suggestions on how I could fix this? I am not the most tech saavy guy, so any help would be greatly appreciated as I am starting to lose patience with it!

You might try uninstalling the AIR runtime and re-installing it. You might also try contacting the developers of these applications to find out whether the problem is related to issues they already know about.

Technically it's possible to use a script to prevent someone from going to the next page unless they click a button, but I think it's a bad idea and very user un-friendly. You can add a button that will take someone to the next page, but don't try to restrict them from doing so themselves if they so wish.

Sorry for the dumb question but I've never used two hard drives on a mac. On my second installed hard drive on my new Mac Pro, I can not create a new folder (the option is greyed out). What do I do?

Try this:
Right click (or ctrl-click) and select "Get Info"
On the bottom, under "Ownership & Permissions", make sure that the pull down menu next to "You can" says "Read & Write".
Under details, you can make your username the owner of the disk, with the same access.
You can also click the "Ignore ownership on this volume" if you don't want any of those types of permissions.

1. I assume that that suggests that it is not normal for a browser window to respond with minimisation? It is just weird when a window just disappears, no reason given (and since there is no obvious loss of internet it can take you by chance)
