Sort mail by conversations?

Is this possible using icloud's mail interface? Any talks/rumors of it showing up soon?
It's the one feature I can no longer function without. It's been part of gmail for years and even Outlook has this ability.
Thanks

Hello Jacob:
No help to you, but as far as I know, it is "either/or."

    no.

  • Sort Mail by Number of Messages per Sender

    Is it possible to sort mail by the number of messages per sender, in descending order with the the greatest number on top, etc. and if so, how?
    Thank you!

    At the moment you can do this using the "setmsgperconnect" command, however the setting is global so it will apply to all destinations, not just Yahoo. From what we've seen at other customers the impact of dropping this to 5 for all destinations is generally not noticeable.
    We're considering adding this into destination config, although at this stage there's no ETA on it.

  • How do I enable viewing mail in conversations (iCloud mail on iMac)?

    I can view mail in conversation view via "Mail" on my iMac, and via iCloud on iOS devices, but not in iCloud via a web browser (Safari).  Is it not posible to choose that method of viewing, as it's not an option in the "Preferences" option on iCloud/Safari?

    This is the Apple iCloud forum - which has nothing to do with Google's Gmail service.
    Try asking in the Gmail forums over on Google's website:

  • Mail.app Conversation/Threading issues like RES: RES: RES:

    Hello,
    When using Gmail on Apple's mail, the conversations/threads are not being grouped properly when the subject field of the messages starts having many prefixes "RES" in the subject.
    Some email clients (e.g. Mail in iPad), adds a "RE:" or "RES:" prefix every time when a message is replied.
    This, causes some subject fields having something like: "RES: RES: RES: RES: Original Subject".
    When this situation happens, the conversations in Mail.app apparently break, that is, one email (or more) that should be grouped to a conversation is displayed as a different conversation.
    This is an example that causes problem for me:
    1) I send a message with subject "Test"
    2) I receive a reply with subject (sent from other email client) "RES: Test"
    3) I reply again (using Mail), then the subject becomes: "Re: RES: Test"
    4) I receive a reply with subject (sent from other email client), and the subject now comes as: "RES: RES: Test"
    At this point, I've got 3 different conversations where this should be grouped as one.
    If I open Gmail, the conversation works perfectly, but in Mail it doesn't.
    Is there anything I can do about it?
    Using Mail.app 6.3

    From Mail help:
    Show your original message:
    Replies to your messages sometimes don’t show your original message. To show it, click the See More link at the bottom-left corner of a message.
    Open Mail help and the link to Conversations is there.

  • Sorting Mail

    Does anyone know how I can sort mail so that all unread are at the top of the view and all the other messages are in received order (most recent at the top). When click on the left hand column the unanswered go the top but everything else sort by replied or not. Any thoughts?

    Why not post in the Mail forum where those experts are?

  • IPhone Mail.app does not sort mails by date

    I've just copied about 3000 old mails from a POP3 account to my Gmail account (IMAP). This was done through OS X mail.app, which just works perfect both in the OS X Mail.app and in the Gmail web interface.
    The problem is that the Mail.app on my iPhone seems to sort the mails by some kind of mail ID so all the copied mails appears first in the Mail.app. I can't find any way to sort the mails by their date, which I guess will solve the problem.
    If there is missing importing information about the problem please let me know so I can supply with more information.

    This is a known issue with gmail. I found this in their FAQ:
    "Messages uploaded or copied into Gmail using IMAP may display the wrong date in your inbox or other labels."
    See http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=82365&topic=12922
    Apparently "The correct dates should appear in conversation view." applies only to web browsers and not the iPhone Mail app.

  • Adding disclaimer file as an attachment on outgoing mail through Conversion

    I'm using iMS 5.2 and i'm currently using the conversion channel to append a disclaimer to all outgoing messages (Internet only) but the boss would like to get the discloser in a text attachment instead of appended to the e-mail.
    has anyone played with that?

    Hello,
    Are you using the standad sap function module or using OLE objects to generate excel?
    First try creating the excel file in foreground and see if the data is being populated.
    Kind Regards,

  • Can I sort mail by  its 'sent' date?

    Can I sort the Mail in my inbox by the date it was sent to me rather then when it arrived?

    No, but there should not be a significant difference between the two.
    "The sent date, also known as the header date, is the date the archived email was created and sent from the user’s email client. The received date is the date the email server received the email from the user’s email client, which is commonly referred to as the server received date. In a perfect internal environment there is not a large difference, perhaps seconds or minutes between the times, but the times will be different if there were any problems in the email client delivering the message to the email server"

  • Sorting Mail - Odd way of displaying it

    Hey All
    The problem I have is when I sort my mail by "Unread" it does it but it's never in cronological order.
    Is there any way to fix that or is it just a glitch in the matrix?.....
    Thanks for your help in advance....

    Hi Akiel, (Weren't you TD before ?)
    Application is the acquisition of signals from a multieclectrode array which has a culture of neurons on it. So it would be quite useful to see all channels at once if the person using the software wants to, but then it would be nice to look particularly at one or two channels individually at times as well.
    I thought putting up all 60 would be the easiest thing to start with. Adding more functionality as I go along. you don't think so ?
    See the image attached. It would be like that (a bit better formatted) but with 60 channels 8 by 8 without the corners.
    The idea is to see the action potentials of the neurons.
    David.

  • Mail app conversation view excludes first message

    I've trying to switch over to Mail from Outlook.  One thing I'm noticing is that in "conversation view" for messages, the orginal message is excluded.  For instance is someone sends me a message with a subject of "Hello!" and then I get a reply the subject is "Re: Hello!"  I realize it's grouping using the subject line but it should probably exclude things like "Re:", "Fw:" and others.  Is there anway to get this to happen?

    Is the box checked in Mail>Preference>Viewing  include related messages.

  • Shortcut for Sorting Mail

    Hi,
    I am pleased that under Mountain Lion there is now a quick way to get to the top of your inbox, however, are there any shortcuts for sorting the mail by date, sender, etc.?  I frequently need to re-order the inbox and whilst the dropdown menu is available it is quite a small dropdown and can be a bit fiddly.  If there was keyboard shortcut assigned then I would also be able to add a gesture as well, but it seems the only way to chagne the order is via the dropdown menu.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Use your own Comparator which knows how to handle the four fields.
    or let your Object implement the Comperable interface
    public class MyComparator implements Comparator
      public int compare(Object obj1, Object obj2)
         int result = 0;
         if( obj1.f1 == obj2.f1  )
           // something similar with f2
         else
            result = obj1.f1 < obj2.f1 ? -1 : 1;
         return result;
    }You can than use
    file:///usr/local/share/doc/j2sdk-1_4_1/docs/api/java/util/Arrays.html#sort(java.lang.Object[],%20java.util.Comparator)
    to sort an Object Array using this comparator
