Sorting dynamic data to display on specific web table rows.

I am building a simple appt booking application. On one page I have a table, with the first column being appt time blocks of every 15 minutes.
8:00
8:15
8:30
and so on. I have each time as a link to book an appt passing the time as a url parameter to the booking page( that works fine).
I'm strugging with sorting appointments that exist in the database with the matching time slot on the web page table, making it visually appealing to the end user.
8:00
8:15 some existing appointment
8:30
I would be nice if a repeat region would work, matching to a hidden field with the static time value to the record returned by the SELECT, but i'm not sure how to coorelate the two. Leaving the open appointments slots blank, making it a single view of their day.

The concept seems right but I think my grasp of implementation is off.
The appts table has the follow columns
appt_hr | clientname | type | appt_day | appt_month | appt_year
I created a table appt_tm where each column is a different 15 min time increment
tm800 | tm815 | tm830 .....and so on up till tm2100
I put in the first row for each column its time, col (0800) , value 0800, so there would be a data pattern to match on the join. Wrote the Select statement using a LEFT JOIN, joining all time columns 0800 and so on to the one appt_hr in the appts table. The sql is fine, and the web page returns some time data only. I'm not sure how to pull over the clientnames, or if my usage of the join is off track.

Hi Mala,
You can try out the following: Create a view on your query and in that view remove the Start Time char from the drilldown. Use this view as a data provider in the web template.

Create image of XSTRING data and display it in Web Dynpro

Hello,
I am trying to dynamically display an image in a Web Dynpro ABAP Image-Control. The problem is that the data is stored in the DB as XSTRING and I can't find a Method for example to create a new object in the MIME-Repository of the data which is read out of the DB at runtime.
I have already converted the XSTRING into w3mime-Format with the function module RSFO_XSTRING_TO_MIME, but the Control needs a string of a url to display the image (for example to a MIME-Object of the component or a link to a file on the ITS).
Is there somehow a possibility to do this?

Rdl file Tablix sorting. dynamical data columns.

we are having Tablix with 5 columns of data. in that first 3 column data is a static and remaining two columns data will be calculated and populated dynamically on the 4,5 column. it is working fine but when i sort the any of the first 3 columns it is showing
the wrong data in the 4,5 th columns.
can any one help how to over come this.

Hi Vijay,
If I understand correctly, the values in the fourth and fifth column change dynamically based on the static values in the first three columns in your report. And then you set the sort expression for the data region or for each group, including the details group
in a tablix data region.
I tested the issue in my test environment in the basis of my understanding. I have set the expression in the fourth and fifth column and set the sorting of tablix based on the fifth static column. When running the report, there is no issue.
To resolve your matter, please post the report design and the expression in sorting option’s screenshot to the forum.

Snow Leopard Dashcode - dynamic data source for search via web API

I'm making a dual product dashcode project, for safari and mobile safari. I have a dataSource that is a web API that takes a couple of variables to return results in JSON format. When the safari product launches, it's set up to ping the API with a set of parameters and populate an itemsList in my left sidebar. I have a search field above that itemsList. Now I can get the search field to:
1. take the contents of the search field and construct a new URL from it.
2. go out and ask for results from pinging the API via an XMLHTTPRequest.
3. eval the contents and be ready to put it into the itemsList...
the questions I have are:
1. Where do I put the evaluated JSON results? DC.dataModel.dataSource.content ?
2. What's the trigger to get my itemsList to reload the data?

But... this doesn't work. I can evaluate DC.dataModel.dataSource.content and I can see my new search results sitting there. But I can't get my itemsList to refresh the display and load up what the web API gave it. How does this work in snow leopard dashcode?

CrashPlan is a beast prone to ruining any other purpose on the server. I'd highly recommend moving it to it's own dedicated machine, like a mac mini. When I use CrashPlan that's my preference.
You can find more information about mds by looking at it's man page, mds(8) and the man pages of it's related utility mdutil(1). Your mds database is likely corrupt. You have a few options. Wipe and reindex your metadata stores and/or turn indexing off on volumes that you don't need it.

It would be much simpler if you got all your data before you
attempt to display it. Plus it appears that you can get all the

Display the background of table row alternatively and hiding cell border

Hi all,
I am trying to display the background of the table using different color alternative and at same time I need to hide the border of all cells.
What I found in <af:table> is using bandingInterval="1" banding="row", but how can I set the background color? And how to hide the cell border?
Or if there is a thing like row index so that I can mod it like rowIndex%2==0 in every column to determine the inlineStyle?

Microsoft Access is not designed for REALLY large data sets, and only grief can come from trying to make a product do what it was not designed for.
The product is superb for working with data on SQL Server. It provides a very complete SQL implementation of its own which allows the local microcomputer to be "much more than just a dumb terminal." The workstation and the remote server really can
"divide and conquer" with both parties being well equipped to do real work.
I would encourage you to plan from the outset to use some SQL-based server technology as your primary data store. But do not limit your review only to Microsoft's offering! There are half-a-dozen strong contenders and you should systematically look at all of
them. These tools are designed to handle the data and transaction volumes you envision and can work very well with Access.
Of course, there is a hard 2GB limit on MDB files, and performance degrades well before that. Now, that's imported data.
You can certainly link to many large data sources, and the links won't take up much memory at all. Again, use good judgment and use the right tool for the job.
Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

I'm having problems when i want to convert the data that i adquired using VISA to dynamic data. The Dataset consist of one row/column with relative time stamps (elapsed measurement time), and up to 30 channels of data. How do i do this?

You should stay way from using Express VIs. They do you now good. And a beginners very often make a code mess by using them. You will be far better of by using traditional Labview. And not some flimflam that NI have glued ontop of Labview using very cheap glue. If you go to toolbar and help, and select example finder. You can search for examples. Just type in xy in search field and you will find many examples. Then I started using Labview I learned a lot by searching in the example database then I was stuck or in doubt. By the way always have concept help on then using Labview (ctrl+h). This and example finder is your best Labview helpers
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

How to display contents of one table and update another one

Hi all
My requirement is the following:
- Three tables, guard, site and guard_site where guard_site shows which guards are linked to a particular site and vice-versa
- I need to create one front-end where i allow all guards to be linked with a particular site
- so the panel must show all guards available (so get display data from guard table) and then i need to introduce a row selector, which allows user to select whichever guards he/she wants
- There will be a save button and upon pressing it, i will create an entry on the guards_site table for the selected guards against the siteId provided when user goes to this page.
- Also upon loading this page if there are already any linked guards these must show as ticked in the row selector.
so I first attempted using a Tabular form or a form on a table/view, but it then forces me to select a table to update, which is not what i want, the data i display is from guard table, which is not the table i want to update... so I then tried a blank page and I created a SQL Query report region... but it doesn't allow me to add a row selector (even if I have added a button on the region).
Any ideas?

Maybe I am not understanding what you are trying to do but it appears that the table guard_site is the table you should be updating. Doesn't the guard_site table contain foreign keys from both the guard and site tables?

No Data to display in Application failure report for a specific Application

Hi ,
For a specific application,Application failure report showing no data to display but for the same application other reports shows value.
Application failure reports seems to work fine for some other application except few.Need to know the root cause.
Kindly help us to sort this issue.

Is there any error message when you run Application Failure Analysis report for the specific application?
Does this application have any failure alerts?
You may also look into operation manager even logs to check is there any errors or warnings.
