Can anyone explaine how'Soundcheck' works??
I have found that sometimes it boosts ballad-type-songs to the point of distortion.
Also when looking at the song info when soundcheck is ticket you can see a Db level. When unticked the Db level disappears!
Is 'soundcheck' worth putting 'on' (on iTunes and iPod), how does it work and does adj the volume of the iniovidual track (in info) effect it?

Sound Check and audio levels

My Ipod touch will not let me change the audio settings. Before I upgraded to the latest os for my ipod touch I used sound check and the levels of my music was mostly the same, now it is all over the place and I can't seem to fix it. I will gladly take any advice on this please.

I have the same problem when disconnecting my Cintiq Companion Hybrid but its very intermident as if you continue to connect and discount it you can get it working again. Also the keyboard and track pad and cut out when you first plug it in, but have found that by keeping the trackpad active (moving your finger on it) while it goes to mirrored screen mode, it can help keep both working.

Playing and resetting specific music tracks in SoundEngine

I am using SoundEngine for playing music and sound effects in my iPhone game.
My game is composed of multiple levels and I want to play and loop a specific audio track for each level.
In QueueCallback in SoundEngine.cpp I changed
UInt32 theNextFileIndex = (THIS->mCurrentFileIndex < THIS->mBGFileInfo.size()-1) ? THIS->mCurrentFileIndex+1 : 0;
to:
UInt32 theNextFileIndex = THIS->mCurrentTrackIndex;
I manually set mCurrentTrackIndex when a level changes.
This seems to work except for 2 problems:
1. The track changes only when the previous track has finished playing.
2. Sometimes when changing tracks the upper left part of the screen is corrupted for a split second, as if something stomped the video buffer.
Now my questions are:
1. Is my solution to looping and changing the audio track in QueueCallback correct? What could be causing the video memory corruption on track change?
2. Instead of waiting for the previous track to finish, how do I change the music track at will? I tried the following:
AudioQueueDispose ( mQueue, true );
mCurrentTrackIndex = currentTrackIndex;
SetupQueue( CurFileInfo );
SetupBuffers( CurFileInfo );
AudioQueueStart( mQueue, NULL );
Which seems to work, but if I call it over and over again a few times but the 7th time the audio is corrupted and by the 8th time no audio plays anymore. So obviously some memory is getting leaked/stomped/corrupted.
Thanks for the help. I have been busting my head on this for a week now. I also tried calling AudioQueueReset and AudioQueueFlush instead of AudioQueueDispose but that did not help.

Unfortunately this solution does not seem to work with SoundEngine that comes with CrashLanding.
I assume startingPacketNumber is mCurrentPacket in SoundEngine.
I tried calling:

This seems to work, but after several calls the program crashes. Sometimes it crashes deep inside LoadFileDataInfo() in QueueCallback. The crash is in MemMove but its deep in the SDK and its hard to figure out what it is unhappy about without the source code.
Also it makes no sense that it should crash there since the only important input to LoadFileDataInfo is the filePath and that is still valid.

Audio and Midi Jumping/Swithching Tracks in Arrange Window

I've had an issue with audio and Midi information switching tracks in the arrange window. Granted, I'm new with Logic. But as I'm working in an audio Track (let's say track 3), I happen to undo a record pass or delete something, and the next thing I know, all the tracks have jumped up one -- so the Midi drums in track 10 are in nine, playing the piano insert. The Midi Piano is up in 8 doing nothing (because track 8 is an audio track), etc. etc. etc. Very annoying -- even when the tracks are frozen.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

at the universe Level, you have to check your Contexts very well to get the optimal performance of the universe and also your joins, keep your joins with key fields, will give you the best performance.
at the report level, try to make the reports dynamic as much as you can, (Parameters) and so on.
and when you create a paremeter try to get it match with the key fields in the database.

Dunning Old dinning level and dunning level

Hi experts,
I have one issue in dunning. the issue is where the dunning history for particular customer shows as old dunning level as 3 and dunning level as 2.
i have checked the customer master there is change in the dunning procdure. But the document and master data shows the correct dunning level with the new procdure.
so i didnt understand what is the OLD dunning level and dunning level for the same cusomer. the issue is only with one customer.
I have also checked with old procdure with same customer in table MHNK. there are some notices done. but how come the current invoice shows the old dunning level for the same invoice.
can any once explain me how to proceed.

Thnks for the reply so we need to apply this note for making the old dunning level and dunning level makes equal after you run the program.
Also one more doubt, since i have observed that the dunning after the parameters entered. looks like this
Parameters were maintained
Dunning selection executed, job deleted
Dunning notice printed, job deleted.
the above doesnt means that they will update the old dunning level right.

I am having the requirement to change the dunning procedure and dunning level programatically.
Is there any Function module or BAPI or sample code where I can change the dunning procedure and push the dunning level to
30(No matter at what level but it has to push to 30).

Try these function modules available through T.code FQEVENTS

Or try creating one procedure to exclusively handle a particular level /dunning activity only and replace the procedure in the master data

Sales order schedule line contains del date, order qty, rounded qty, confirmed qty, delivery qty, schedule line category, purchase requisition etc., ie It contains the full details of sales order data with respect to the scheduled line of delivery. The total quantity of a sales order item can be subdivided into schedule lines that contain the various subsets with the corresponding delivering dates.
Sales order Item level data contains details of the item in the sales order like material code, net price, net value, UoM, PO details, reason for rejection if any, material group,billing date, plant etc., ie this
contains the full details of item irrespective of scheduled line.

Lots and Lots of video tracks...

Hello Ya'all:
Just reporting some bugs/discoveries I made in FCP 5.0.3, when using storage which is almost infinetesimally fast. I know FCP supports a maximum of 99 video tracks, but I wonder how many have actually been tested (realistically): Here's some problems I have when doing lots and lots of video tracks:
Qty. Description
Up to 10 Fine - no problem.
12 Program intermittently crashes with no error, when
sitting idle.
14 The scroll bar on the right side of the video
portion of the timeline stops drawing properly,
but the crashing above goes away.
16 Crashing is back - scroll bar still not operating
properly.
20 Crashing stops, but scroll bar still not drawing
correctly.
24 Same as above.
25 Seem to have hit some sort of maximum, as the
video portion of the timeline header turns red.

I rant for lots of reasons...as does Jim.
I rant when someone with NO CLUE as to the post production process tries to tackle a complex process thinking that FCP is easy. Especially when said people, who previously edited home movies or short films on FCP, suddenly think they can edit broadcast television.
I rant when people think a simple plugin will edit for them, or suddenly make everything ready for broadcast.
I rant when someone assumes that FCP can do something it cannot, and is mad for FCP not being able to do it.
I rant when people don't do their research, buy gear, shoot hours and hours, only to find that it won't work on ANY system...and they blame the system for not working with the new gear, even though the gear came out AFTER the system.
But mainly I rant for the first reason. Too many people think that editing is easy and that they can just buy a G5, monitor, camera and a few books and be ready for Prime Time. No no no. Even Robert Rodriguez, the ultimate film rebel, took a long time to learn what he learned. I have spent a large part of my career learning post production...broadcast standards, specs, color correction, show timing, audio post...not to mention the art of storytelling. And it really gets on my nerves when someone thinks that they can take an Mac Mini and camcorder and edit a broadcast show...and get angry at Apple for things not working properly.
Get the proper tools. Get the proper training. Cut your chops by editing a lot and a lot and a lot. Research everything before you buy and jump into a project with a huge deadline. I am venturing into HD...I start editing next week...I have been researching the topic since July and am STILL testing gear and my workflow.
I am sure there are plenty more reasons I rant, but those are the ones off the top of my head. I just have little patience with people who think that editing is easy and instantaneous. It is hard and time consuming, and if I didn't love it to death I wouldn't do it.

In the IMG Config: Quality Management -> Quality Notification -> Notification Types -> Define screen areas for notification types Then Choose 'Define screen areas' Then Click on 'New entries' button Now, select the relevant Notification Type and click in 'Enter'. Select the 'Iten Cases' register and remember to setup the Tabstrip Header, Icon, etc. Set the 'Tabstrip active' flag. Then Save.
Quality Notification -> Notification Types -> Define screen areas for notification types
WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND IN CUSTOMIZATION PATH --> DEFINE SCREEN AREAS FOR NOTIFICATION TYPES.

Lets say Defect location need to be hidden, the field TXTCDOT need to have the radio button HIDE.

How to zoom out and view an entire track in the window

There's got to be a way to zoom out so an entire track can viewed at once so that segments of the track can be shifted around. I have a track that is about 50 minutes long with several segments in it. I want to shift the segments around. Right now I can only view about a minute of the track at a time and have to click on the segment then move the cursor either left or right and wait for Garageband to scroll to the time where I want to put it. Isn't there a way to just zoom out and view the entire track and then shift segments around without all the scrolling? Does that make sense?

I opened GB4 and it maxed out at 4 minutes. then i opened GB6 and it maxed out at 15 minutes. then i opened another project in GB 6 and it maxed out at 35 minutes.

When trying to upload a cd onto itunes it chooses to chop the original cd into 4 separate albums and mix up the track order. Any ideas why and how to overcome this problem? ( the cd is guy gerber and called fabric 64)
