Sp13 not allowing HTTP Tunnelling?

Ok, sp12 didn't work right, so I grabbed the new sp13. However, I again
connect to my server, this time because of the following tunnelling error.
Did some property or default change in sp12/13? The app works fine with
sp11. Is there something I can set to get around this?

set this property in weblogic.properties file

HttpTunneling is disabled by default from SP12 onwards.

  • Method not allowed http 405 error

    I built a web service and it contains a static document myvi.html and a web method vi myvi.vi
    the myvi.html contains a form to post data to myvi.vi by clicking the submit button.
    When I used http://localhost:8080/servicename/myvi.html to fill the form and submit, the data had been posted to myvi.vi and it worked fine.
    But when I used http://ipaddress:8080/servicename/myvi.html to fill the form and submit, I got the error 405 : method not allowed.
    What's the problem? I already turned off all firewalls.
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    "Method Not Implemented"... Ah, the joys of webservers. Could be that, well, the method (GET, POST, CONNECT) isn't implemented or enabled in the daemon's configuration.  That's not so much of a firewall issue but a server/daemon configuration problem.  I'm most familiar with apache, so YMMV.
    Default install of the webserver?  You said you turned off firewalls, but is the port actually listening externally? (Use a port scanner to scan the machine, nmap or similar... there's a lot of them out there.)  Can you see anything at http://ipaddress through a web browser?  Is the machine on the same subnet, or are you punching through NAT on a router somewhere?
    Also see that there aren't any .htaccess files or line items in the configuration restricting access to the server to localhost.

  • File dialogs not allowing http:

    Hi all,
    Hoping someone out there might know of a way to force the OS to allow me to specify http:// on a file open/save as dialog.
    E.g. if I'm in word and I want to open a file from a remote location, on windows I could enter http:// and the rest of the URL.. With my mac however as soon as I type the : it converts to a - so I end up with http-//
    I hope this is something I can fix.
    Thanks in advance for any help

    You can access files on a WebDAV html or FTP server (or any other file protocol) only if you mount the remote filesystem locally. To do that use the finder and select Go To -> Connect with server from the menu. Enter your remote address and then select the mounted volume from the file dialog in your application.

  • Call HTTP web service action not allowing HTTPS in SharePoint Designer 2013.

    HTTP works perfectly in browser and in workflow.
    HTTPS works perfectly in browser and hangs in workflow.
    Others having this issue have been advised to use OAuth2. OAuth2 is not an option without HTTPS, you're passing authorization tokens around in plaintext. This is not an acceptable solution.
    Please advise.

    It says HTTPS web services will have an Issue with the SharePoint Designer.

  • "Method Not allowed" Error while submitting request thro proxy server

    I have an application that uses JSSE to talk to a http/https
    server, everything worked until I tried using https and a
    proxy. Http with or without a proxy worked, https without a
    proxy worked, but I can't get https with a proxy to work. The
    only thing my application does different is to setup the proxy
    stuff with the following function
    if (strTunneling.equalsIgnoreCase("ON")) {
    /** Setting the proxy host-name and proxy port in the system */
    String strProxyHost = ((String) objRouterProp.getProperty("PROXYHOST")).trim();
    String strProxyPort = ((String) objRouterProp.getProperty("PROXYPORT")).trim();
    System.setProperty("https.proxyHost",strProxyHost);
    System.setProperty("https.proxyPort",strProxyPort);
    The Exception i am getting is as follows
    java.io.IOException: Unable to tunnel through proxy. Proxy returns "HTTP/1.0 405 Method not allowed"
    Any Help is highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Thirumaran

    It means your proxy-server doesn't allow HTTPS tunneling. Have you looked at the "Allow" header in the response? If the proxy is coded correctly, it's supposed to contain ways you can reach the requested resource in ways the proxy will allow.
    Some proxies don't allow HTTPS tunneling because they want to be able to log the traffic contents. Perhaps this is one of them.

  • HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed error while deploying application in EPMA

    Hi All,
    I have recently installed EPM 11.1.2.1 on a windows 2008 server with SQL Server 2008 database. I created a new HFM application and tried to deploy it, but the deployment gets aborted with the error "HTTP/1.1 405 Method Not Allowed" seen in the deployment log.
    Any clue as to what might be the issue? Thanks in advance.

    "405 Method Not Allowed" is most likely an IIS configuration issue. Please try reboot and try to redeploy again.
    You need to check and ensure that both Roles and IIS components are installed correctly and that the HFM is functioning OK via IIS when browsing through it.
    Also, by default IIS does not install ASP server scripting roles. To correct this by adding the ASP role in IIS
    "If you are using Windows 2008, you must install ASP Role Services before installing EPM System products that require IIS. If you are using Windows 2008, you must install .NET 3.5 before installation of Data Relationship Management.
    If IIS is chosen as the Web server during configuration, you must allow all unknown ISAPI extensions through the Internet Information Services Manager."

  • Ftp and http access over XDB repository is not allowed...

    When I try to execute the following command on a reasonably fresh Oracle 11 installation:
    insert into "XMLTEST" ( "name", "xmlfof" ) values ( 'small', DBMS_XDB.GETCONTENTXMLTYPE('/public/small.xml') );
    -- The schema is correctly registered, the file "small.xml" is in the /public repository folder, the user has every conceivable role and priviledge
    -- http access works fine from a remote location, tried to execute the command on the server and from remote system...
    I get the following error message:
    ORA-31020: Der Vorgang ist nicht zulässig, Ursache: For security reasons, ftp and http access over XDB repository is not allowed on server side ORA-06512: in "XDB.DBMS_XDB", Zeile 1915
    Searching for an answer on the forum didn't produce any concreate explanation... Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

    As it turns out, the XML file contained a reference to a DTD at an external web-site, which caused the problem - it was identical to that described here:
    Re: ORA-31020 when using XML with external DTD or entities
    After removing the reference, everything works perfectly...

    Hi Senthil,
    There is a way, you can expose the function module HTTP_GET as an rfc-enabled FM and use it to call the webservice. Here is a POC I made before:
    Proof of Concept: An Alternative HTTP GET using a Remote-Enabled Version of the Function Module HTTP_GET
    Another is to create a UDF that uses an HTTP Client class to call the webservice.

  • Content Server HTTP error: 405 Method Not Allowed in CSADMIN transaction

    Hello,
    After installing the content server, when configuring in CSadmin
    transaction, when we try to save the new settings, I get the errror
    HTTP error: 405 Method Not Allowed.
    The operating system is W2008 R2 SP1. The storage type is filesystem, we do not use the MAXDB database. However, I have made so many tries, that, finally Ihave installed the system with database, although we are not going to use it (we have more content servers installed with database and they are working fine). Despite of this, it doesn't work either. The error message is the same.
    The Content Server release is 6.40
    Thanks and best regards,
    Ana

    I have seen this issue on Windows 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5. This was the solution of mine
    The error 405 appears because you have installed WebDav IIS Role in IIS 7.5. Please uninstall that particular role.

  • Posting from  one jsp to another gives HTTP 405 "method not allowed"

    I have a servlet filter that authenticates all requests for resources in my web app. This works fine when HTTP GET requests are being used, but I notice I get a HTTP 405 "Method not allowed" when a HTTP POST is issued. Even a simple JSP page that posts to another JSP page fails with this error. If I remove the filter, everything works OK.
    The filter doesn't do anything exceptional (that I can see), other than do a redirect to use SSL if the request isn't being called on that.
    Thanks for any help.

    If you've got access to the filter code - check that it doesn't contain any conditional checking on HttpServletRequest.getMethod() or alike.
    If the only thing you need to do is to ensure the use of SSL, why don't you declare a security-constraint in you web.xml:
    <security-constraint>
    <web-resource-collection>
    <web-resource-name>Ensure encryption</web-resource-name>
    <url-pattern>/</url-pattern>
    </web-resource-collection>
    <user-data-constraint>
    <transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee>
    </user-data-constraint>
    </security-constraint>
